Come'on who doesn't love a compliment. It makes your day, all day. That is what I want MJC to do, make the girl smile from ear to ear. I want her to love what she is wearing and be proud of how she looks. I want MJC to showcase the sweetness of the child. I try to keep the silhouettes simple for that reason, it's not about the fancy embroidery, it is about the darling girl wearing it. I want your little girl not to fight with you on what to wear, I want her to be comfortable and I want her to be happy! And that is it.

My sweet hubby turns the big 3-0 today (the 13th) and I turn 29 on Thursday- believe it or not we were delivered by the same doctor- we joke that he had our baby pictures on a board in his office side by side- that we were just meant to be together! I’m gonna be deep, I’m just in that mood tonight. When my grandfather/best bud passed I got some really wise words from a lady from my church. She hugged me and said “don’t worry you will never forget his smell, the way he looked, or the way it felt to hold his hand.” She told me she lost her grandfather 35 years ago and she could still remember all those things. This is one of my favorites and I hope it can become one of your favorites too. The power of the memories, its true I can close my eyes and see his huge hand holding my little girl hand, every detail of his hand is still in my memories. …and to close my eyes and smell, wow it gives me chills.

My guess would be your favorite is your loving customers that spend all thier husbands fantasy football winnings on your clothes that all 3 of my lovely ladies LOVE to wear! My words each relese “So how much is this going to cost me?” 
AHH these are a few of my favorite things…holding hands, the first snowman of the year made, blowing kisses or as my children call them ooh la la’s, chocolate milkshakes, snuggling in a sleeping bag, the sound of leaves crunching under your feet, a rainbow after it rains, your children’s laughter, breakfast in bed especially when your kids make it, a good ball park hotdog, singing oldies loudly to myself in the car, legwarmers you are a girl after my own heart, bedtime stories, the smell of freah lavender, a flirtatious smile, a good back rub, bubble baths and I LOVE YOU’S from my children!! Since my wife has me looking at your new line of clothing, I think your clothing is very “hip” and “groovy” compared to the traditional smocked, monogrammed matching outfits we have in the South. Our little girl gets wonderful comments about the way she is dressed in Matilda Jane. After looking at this new line of clothing, the children photographed were laughing, carefree and happy on the beach. I believe your favorite place is the beach too!
Okay. I just can’t stop thinking about your favorite things, ’cause well, so many of them are mine too, so it’s a happy thinking day! I think your favorite should be a day (or many days) when you don’t have to deal with the dramas of running a business. A day when you can just sit back and enjoy the pure simplicity of the joy and bliss that we feel when we open one of your packages. It’s the same giddiness that I felt when I saw Taylor Lautner with his shirt off in New Moon. (or even better, when he finally turned 18 yesterday, so I could wipe away the guilt for lusting after someone so young)

Your love of Diet Coke (McDonalds) cracks me up. My sister and I have always said the same thing, but we have never shared the thought because it sounds so crazy that it could taste “different”…they must have some sneaky way of administering the Carbonation to the syrup that sets them apart.
As for your favorites you have many, but without picking just one concrete one I would say one of your favorites is SHARING (sharing passions, sharing your artistic expression, sharing gifts, sharing stories, sharing life).

Ahh, how could I have forgotten about Anthropologie, the holy grail of my closet! The Cher dress lookes just like something out of the catalogue, LOVE IT!!! I have a 15% off coupon from there for my Birthday waiting to be used, and I got it in the mail right after I complained to my husband that, that is the only store that never has coupons.
COLOR – in all its entirety. I love Diet Coke too and all we eat is organic, whole-from scratch-everything! =) My favorite moment would be reading all the comments on how everyone *LOVED* the things I created and that feeling of when you accomplished something successfully and can reap the rewards of making others happy, only to tomorrow go back and work on the next thing. That is what I love, maybe you do too! I didn’t read all the comments yet… not sure if anyone else said that too. I don’t think you can give that away… although if someone had some MJ clothing to put on their daughter, they would experience that feeling just a bit! =) Maybe it’s the Lovely Bird Dress you featured here and seeing a little girl enjoying it, all part of the accomplishment.

Your favorite thing is that moment of pure satisfaction and joy you feel when you know you have just created/sketched/dreamed up a piece that you know a little girl will love, that is completely charming and a total winner…that little solitary moment of pride within yourself.
You have so many favorites, many the same as mine. But, as a mom, I would guess that your very favorite thing is when your adorable boys smile at you real big and say, “I love you, you’re the best mom in the whole wide world!” It always works on me! LOL! BTW, LOVE the Hammond Bay Collection!!!
Diet coke must be a favorite drink…of course I remember that because I live in a world of mommies who would not DARE drink Diet Coke (because of the additives, etc.) so when I go to the park…I hide it as I feed my children organic apples.

After following your blog for quite a while, I would have to say some of your favorites are: diet coke from McDonalds, Oreos, Your memories of Goliath, the Barber shop painting you still long for, Your beautiful mighty acorns who smile so beautifully that you wish would never grow older, your wish list from Room and Board, your love for photography, suitcases, Target, probably that new fall line you are working on. You have so many favorite things, I could never list them all. I am just glad you choose us to share them with.

Your favorite…color? Hmmm…floral? Is that a color? I remember having to interview my Mom when I was in elementary school and one of the questions was “what is her favorite color?” My mom answered, “plaid”. And I was SO upset because she was “cheating” and she wouldn’t pick just one color. I eventually wrote down “plaid” and my teacher just laughed. I think yours is “granny florals”…LOVE THAT. Nothing better than a floral that looks like it was once a pair of bedroom curtains in my opinion!!!

I totally get delivering the valentines on time!!! I sat in the parking lot of Walgreens addressing my daughters 25 min before preschool today! We’ve been snowed in and I hadn’t been to store to get them!!!

I read/ heard somewhere that Mcd has a patent on their syrup/ carbonated water ratio and that the diameter of their straws optimize the mixture somehow. I think one of your favorite things is to tell cute stories about your little guys (that’s my favorite thing too ). If your anything like me your favorite time of day is right before the kids fall asleep, after baths and books but before they drift off. I wish I had a great story, but I really don't. It is quite simple actually; one day a friend of mine said I should make clothing so I did.
I wish I could say I started because I could not find any cute clothes for my kids, but surely that is not a problem. I wish I could say I am a "designer", but I pretty much just consider myself a girl who can't stop her brain from spinning.
The one thing I do not have to wish for is a great family and group of friends. These guys are what makes Matilda Jane rock. They are loyal and well-loved. They are also very patient for putting up with me and the ventures I pursue, sometimes on a whim. Oh, I do love them all.
