Come'on who doesn't love a compliment. It makes your day, all day. That is what I want MJC to do, make the girl smile from ear to ear. I want her to love what she is wearing and be proud of how she looks. I want MJC to showcase the sweetness of the child. I try to keep the silhouettes simple for that reason, it's not about the fancy embroidery, it is about the darling girl wearing it. I want your little girl not to fight with you on what to wear, I want her to be comfortable and I want her to be happy! And that is it.

I would not feel bad about your comment. I am sure it is the truth. I wish I would have purchased the items before they sold out as well. I am so sad that I do not have even 1 item from the Hammond Bay collection yet. I look on this site tons of times a day just wishing. I have been having some health issues lately and just looking at the clothing makes me happy.
OK, now I’m just irritated with myself for leaving that yucky comment…please remove it, if you can…I was just complaining and negative, and to the wrong people at that.

Each of the recent visits from the brown truck bring more beautiful clothes from Matilda Jane. The raven skirt is one of the best ever and the pepper knot dress is like having 2 dresses for the price of 1. Thank you again to each person who makes Matilda Jane Clothing a place that I want to visit again and again.
We love all of our new Hammond Bay! We’ll be taking it to Seaside next week for some really cute pictures! 
Oh my goodness, I received all my Hammond Bay things today. The Blue eyed cardigan and ginger snap skirt are just lovely. The green Claudia matches the skirt perfectly. I bought for MiMi this time and I love it all. Oh, and I have a key, too. Thanks, Denise.

awe i love finding old memories in a box! i have all my original 1980′s strawberry shortcake dolls in my treasure box, along with prom glasses, a trophy from a 3rd grade spelling bee, a van halen tee shirt that my friends signed, my girlscout sash, and an arrowhead necklace that a sweet boy sent to me in the 5th grade….now that sweet boy lived in OR me in NH….we met while rollerskating in olympia WA over xmas break 1983. we wrote letters to each other for 2 years (i have those too)sadly as we grew older the letters became fewer and farther inbetween….now 25 years later he friended me on facebook. it prompted me dig out that old tresure box and share it with my girls. nothing sweeter than getting to share my old memories, and laughing with dh that i have a boyfriend as technically we never broke up

I love it!!! Just found 2 old Swatch watches (white one with a blue polka dot face and the greenish see -thru one)with some old jewelery a few weeks ago. I still have boxes of notes from grade school-all folded funky so no one saw what you wrote. I would never give up my keychain collection and my sticker collection. Talk about feeling old!!!!
My stomach literally just turned. Fingernails unattached are one of my BIGGEST oooogly gross out things. SHUDDER!
The other stuff sounds really cool though, ahahaha. I keep things as well, have a ton of old school work from elementary, toys, notes etc.

OMG!! I just found out a few days ago that I really need a watch for work and I started wondering if they still made swatch watches. Apparently you just need to have a garage sale so I can come buy yours. ha ha ha… Seriously though I am going to find a swatch watch today. I LOVED those when I was a kid…and the trolls…they are SO ugly they are cute. I never did have very many but I thought they were awesome. I used to carry one in my backpack at school.

The Swatch thing got me. I was obsessed with the pop-swatch, and with changing the colors of the guard and bands constantly. Enjoy your memory lane and the excitement of the new house…and remember them during the yucky parts of moving that are bound to rear their ugly heads!!

I wish I had a great story, but I really don't. It is quite simple actually; one day a friend of mine said I should make clothing so I did.
I wish I could say I started because I could not find any cute clothes for my kids, but surely that is not a problem. I wish I could say I am a "designer", but I pretty much just consider myself a girl who can't stop her brain from spinning.
The one thing I do not have to wish for is a great family and group of friends. These guys are what makes Matilda Jane rock. They are loyal and well-loved. They are also very patient for putting up with me and the ventures I pursue, sometimes on a whim. Oh, I do love them all.
