Come'on who doesn't love a compliment. It makes your day, all day. That is what I want MJC to do, make the girl smile from ear to ear. I want her to love what she is wearing and be proud of how she looks. I want MJC to showcase the sweetness of the child. I try to keep the silhouettes simple for that reason, it's not about the fancy embroidery, it is about the darling girl wearing it. I want your little girl not to fight with you on what to wear, I want her to be comfortable and I want her to be happy! And that is it.

Congratulations to the winner – darling video. However, I have to say I was disappointed to see that the others that had made it to the final 5 (6) did not receive any kind of an award. Adjustments seemed to have been made along the way – 14 instead of the top 10; 6 instead of 5 finalists, and yet at the end, only the top 3 received any kind of an award or prize. I would have liked to have seen the other finalists receive a gift certificate also.
I knew one of the people that made it to the top 10 (top 12?) last year and all of them got some free clothing. Perhaps Denise plans to do that again this year as all of the top 14 deserve prizes!

I am a lucky girl!! I feel so honored to have even made the top 10, but to actually win is just beyond me. I loved every one of the entries and wish we could ALL go just so I could meet the amazing women behind all of the soulful ideas. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I don’t know what the ground rules where for the contest, but I thought the winner was chosen by vote after narrowing it down to 14 out of 400. Then the pick was down to 5 out of 400. I’m not sure why it was narrowed down to 5 and then only 3 received an award for their efforts. It seems like the final 5 could all have received some type of award. I was disappointed that 2 of the top 5 didn’t receive anything at all!!

Thanks for the Red Head Pearl, I just love red on all my children. You really just keep coming up with more cute stuff!! Which isn’t necessarily such a good thing for all us MJ addicts out there! It’s unbelievable how my mind works after seeing all your clothing, that BIG wishlist turns into a crazy juggling act and ya know what I’m sometimes even impressed with myself how I tend to pull it off. I can’t even imagine how tough it must be to pick 1 lil cutie, my goodness we all know how many BEAUTIFUL children are out there. I was a sub teacher today at a high school and I was wearing my GB Bluebird tank dress. The teenagers told me they liked my dress! Oh, I have to tell you that Becky in your office is such a sweet lady! She rocks!!!

just wanted to say thanks for putting my little cowgirl-Emma up on the blog. I promise she really does have the most beautiful and precious smile. I feel like I play “beat the clock” every day too and I never win. In fact I was thinking about that this morning. Bills to pay, my daughter needs clean underwear so do I sort through the laundry first or do I sort through the bills first? Both are important. Oh and I can’t forget about that cereal she spilled on the floor before she left for school! I keep telling myself to do my yoga breathing. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. i have come to realize that keeping up with a spray tan is just as hard as keeping up with a regular tan. and i dont even go dark. oh well…its nice to get tan in 10 second compared to hours and hours and days spend burning in the sun. plus my MIL did have melanoma last summer.
—-oh and while i was trying to fall asleep, i remember what else i was gonna say yesterday. that i cant wait for my daughter to get the bubble and wear it!! (i got talked into it at the trunk show… )

I wish I had a great story, but I really don't. It is quite simple actually; one day a friend of mine said I should make clothing so I did.
I wish I could say I started because I could not find any cute clothes for my kids, but surely that is not a problem. I wish I could say I am a "designer", but I pretty much just consider myself a girl who can't stop her brain from spinning.
The one thing I do not have to wish for is a great family and group of friends. These guys are what makes Matilda Jane rock. They are loyal and well-loved. They are also very patient for putting up with me and the ventures I pursue, sometimes on a whim. Oh, I do love them all.
