i really enjoyed reading and looking through all of the entries. “too purpley” was my very favorite, because making books for children to help ease transitions and choice-making is part of what i do with some of the children i work with. the book looks fabulous! i absolutely love it!

They are all really good. I was touched by “Life of a girl.” I watched it with my 6-year old daughter and held on to her and just took her in. I don’t want her to grow up. I got very choked up. Nice job.

Okay. One. more. thing. hee-hee. We’ve been listening to “beautiful” over and over again and we just have to say that that litte girl’s grandpa’s voice is the perfect matching for MJ. His inflection, styling, the way he forms his words, the sound/tone of his voice and guitar all to us seem to epitomize MJ for some reason. We just love it!

I just feel so blessed to have made it in the top 14. My little girl whet shopping with me to find the perfect suitcase and it wasn’t easy to find one, but after some work we made it our special MJ suitcase. I am so excited for everyone who made it in the top 14. What an honor it is just to make it. Best of luck to everyone. Thanks to all you girls at 435. Great Job Ladies! They are all so unique! As a mom of 5 life is so filled with the must do’s that I value the moments I have to spend with my kids. Reading with my kids before bedtime is one of those moments, so I loved the book – Compliments … and better yet it has a great message of doing good!!

These are great. . .my favorite is the beautifully simple “Mallory and Kate.” Not as flashy as some of the others, but those girls’ drawings are really what MJ is all about. . .our daughters (and sons!)! I love that the children actually took a real role in the entry. And I love how those two girls are clearly happy when they wear (or draw!) their MJ clothes!

What wonderfully creative and talented fans MJC has! I LOOOOOVVVVE Life of a Girl (the toad getting covered in the MJC cardigan is priceless, and really shows that the clothes are for the ANYTIME girl). The Patchwork Memories was also a favorite. What a cherished piece of artwork for a child and the reminder to make everyday a ‘special day’ and to cherish those you love.

DESPARATE!!!! Someone stole my daughters size 4 dottie leggings from gypsy blue. Dose anyone out there have a pair size 4 or 6 that they are wanting to sell me?????? I have like a million pieces that go with them and my mom feels terible about losing them…..even though she didn’t lose them someone stole them from her at the gym. Please, please, please my sweetpea is heartbroken she thinks it her fault that they are gone. Just in love with the fact that you got a purple martin house. I did my Master’s thesis on the Purple Martin and their reproductive success in different housing types. BUT…that bird on the top of the gourds you bought is an Eastern Bluebird. You have probably missed the beginning of the breeding season for the Purple Martin, but you may be able to attract some young males and females this year. Don’t get discouraged, sometimes it take a while to get an established Purple Martin community. Best wishes, and feel free to give me a shout if you have ANY questions! You are gonna LOVE watching them, they are amazing! Hope all that info didn’t bore anyone too much…haha!

I forgot to tell you… When I was leaving Vegas on Monday I was in the airport and a little girl about 5 yrs old comes strolling by me in the Summertime Tank dress and the simple white tee underneath.. I felt kinda spec. since I knew who designed that dress

Its so tough to keep going and going when you just want to be with your kids. I got the afternoon off today because my sister came and took them to the park so I could have quiet time for sewing – and while it was nice to get things done – I so missed them! I hope you get a break soon and can get back to lots of time with those boys Joe is so special and always makes me smile – thanks for sharing him (and all the other adorable photos) with us today

I hope you had a Wonderful Mother’s Day! Mine was fantastic! My husband took me on Saturday to see “Legally Blonde” at Clowe’s Hall. Fantastic show! Then on Sunday, I got to see the looks of pure excitement and joy on my children’s faces as we took them to get their surprise puppy! I guess you could say I became a mother again on Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day Denise!!! My daughter got me a Mario racing game for the Wii. My husband said she picked it out more for herself but I think Holly is really smart and realized we could ALL play it together, including my 18 year old son. Just what a mom loves – her whole family together…well anyway this mom loves it!

For all you lucky gals that still have your mother’s, go visit with them, wish I still had mine to just sit in the front porch swing and laugh together.
