Come'on who doesn't love a compliment. It makes your day, all day. That is what I want MJC to do, make the girl smile from ear to ear. I want her to love what she is wearing and be proud of how she looks. I want MJC to showcase the sweetness of the child. I try to keep the silhouettes simple for that reason, it's not about the fancy embroidery, it is about the darling girl wearing it. I want your little girl not to fight with you on what to wear, I want her to be comfortable and I want her to be happy! And that is it.

Denise, I am so thankful you posted this.It made me feel so connected to you. I can tell that you don’t dwell on Joe’s diagnosis, but focus more on making his life as normal as the next kid’s. We do the same in our house with my daughter. I know our kids have needs and we care for them, but we don’t let it define them. I have never met you, but I want to tell you “You rock”. He shines and it is because of you and your husband. He could not look happier in his pics, to me this speaks more of you than the most esquisite dress ever could. Go Joe!!

I just wanted to tell you all at MJC that I was screaming in the halls of my school today. My kindergaren class was walking in the hall when we passed another kindergarten class. In my friends line was a beautiful little girl wearing Matilda Jane. I had to give the precious little thing a shout out and tell her how much I love her dress and Matilda Jane. It made my day. See looked at me like I was CRAZY!!!! but she loved the attention.

Just wanted to say how wonderful it was of you to do the back to school contest! My nominee didn’t win, but a friend of mine- who has been struggling financially since her husband passed away a few years back- entered her daughter and she won!! The London Lap Dress is at the top of our list. My daughter loves cars…. and her daddy saw it and said “she has to have that since she visited London this summer for the first time”. Next summer we are going to China, so if your line could have a chinese theme, I’m sure I’d get dad’s go ahead to buy the whole line. Hah!

My daughter’s birthday was yesterday and she wore her MJ to Disneyland! We had a party for her on Saturday and their were so many girls wearing MJ at the party!!! Great to see everyone. Vivian is amazing. She was so patient and sweet at 435 this year. She was so helpful to me once I discovered “the back” and found the sizes I needed in everything I wanted. I wish I had a great story, but I really don't. It is quite simple actually; one day a friend of mine said I should make clothing so I did.
I wish I could say I started because I could not find any cute clothes for my kids, but surely that is not a problem. I wish I could say I am a "designer", but I pretty much just consider myself a girl who can't stop her brain from spinning.
The one thing I do not have to wish for is a great family and group of friends. These guys are what makes Matilda Jane rock. They are loyal and well-loved. They are also very patient for putting up with me and the ventures I pursue, sometimes on a whim. Oh, I do love them all.
