Come'on who doesn't love a compliment. It makes your day, all day. That is what I want MJC to do, make the girl smile from ear to ear. I want her to love what she is wearing and be proud of how she looks. I want MJC to showcase the sweetness of the child. I try to keep the silhouettes simple for that reason, it's not about the fancy embroidery, it is about the darling girl wearing it. I want your little girl not to fight with you on what to wear, I want her to be comfortable and I want her to be happy! And that is it.

Oh, what a week it has been!! And oh, what a great way to end it with a little tour of Sugarland. This week has been quite the trying one! I’ve been a single mom (David and Joe return Saturday), the office has been crazy as ever, and one of my BFF’s is getting married...
I have to say that since I found Matilda Jane I have made alot of new friends, mostly thru FB but also thru my daughter’s school. So many moms have come up to talk to me because of an interest in her clothes. We bond over MJ and find we have so much more in common too. I think it’s great that your company has the ability to bring so many of us together. I know I appreciate it. And I appreciate that we (as customers) get to feel a part of the “group”, between the blogs and FB. Thank you for all that you do. MJC truely is an amazing company with truely amazing people.
Just look at it this way – by the end of the weekend your family will be back together, your friend will be happily married, Joe will continue his amazing progress and you will be able to smile and take it all in. I love being reminded to slow down and take a look around me – those are the times i remember most in life. Thanks for the connections

I will run into people in the grocery store that recognize my clothes and say “oooo I just love Matilda Jane clothes!”. Denise, sugarland is amazing!!! I am so excited to see how well joe has done!!! It is amazing the things kids an do when they put their minds to it!!! I have met some great girls over the last year all because of MJC….I am happy to call them my friends!! It was so fun to meet them in person at 435. Denise, Totally off the subject but I had never heard of Lolita til your post. I have been shopping on Ebay for Halloween costumes and Lolita costumes are everywhere!! Funny, thanks to you I was able to view many interesting and sweet costumes.
So, my first grader came home from school (here in North Carolina) and she couldn’t have been more excited. She had just gotten her first letter from her new pen pal. Guess where she is from???? That’s right, Australia. We are thrilled for her and think it is very cool!
How do we know if we won? I contacted Gary Jensen and he took a picture for me and I forwarded it to Samm.

Yay Joe! He has the heart of a champion – we are all rooting for him!…and guess what? My Ana starts gymnastics tomorrow! Her delicate limbs still don’t allow her to jump but she cannot wait for the trampoline…yep, soon she’ll be the soccer player she longs to be!

Your style and clothes are much cuter. I like the “confidence” thing, but the girls look a little prissy. Your models usually look like they are having fun and being their relaxed selves! Which is what I like my daughter to see.

I wish I had a great story, but I really don't. It is quite simple actually; one day a friend of mine said I should make clothing so I did.
I wish I could say I started because I could not find any cute clothes for my kids, but surely that is not a problem. I wish I could say I am a "designer", but I pretty much just consider myself a girl who can't stop her brain from spinning.
The one thing I do not have to wish for is a great family and group of friends. These guys are what makes Matilda Jane rock. They are loyal and well-loved. They are also very patient for putting up with me and the ventures I pursue, sometimes on a whim. Oh, I do love them all.
