Come'on who doesn't love a compliment. It makes your day, all day. That is what I want MJC to do, make the girl smile from ear to ear. I want her to love what she is wearing and be proud of how she looks. I want MJC to showcase the sweetness of the child. I try to keep the silhouettes simple for that reason, it's not about the fancy embroidery, it is about the darling girl wearing it. I want your little girl not to fight with you on what to wear, I want her to be comfortable and I want her to be happy! And that is it.

I agree with everyone. Just beautiful!! But please please please make more items go to size 12. My one and only darling is only 8 and she needs to keep wearing sweet and sassy little girl clothes. I’m not ready for big girl clothes on her and she LOVES her MJ. She was so disappointed when i told her we couldn’t go to Art Fair for her b-day weekend after all b/c there would be nothing in her size. sigh.
The line is lovely, and there are pieces I love (the good)
However, I was very disappointed MJC used polyester and rayon for the Momma pieces. I ended up not ordering my 2 favorite dresses (the spearmint & the wrap dress) because they were 100% polyester and 100% rayon.

You truly are creating more than clothes. I was so sad to see less available in my G’s size… I feel like it’s time to slowly break-up a wonderful long-term relationship due to circumstances out of my hand. I can’t make her stop growing and I can’t force you to make bigger sizes =(. And of course I ordered some goodies a size too small, in hopes to keep that love alive just a bit longer. What started 3 seasons ago with a few piece for us has turned into much more. These beautiful, durable pieces make my girl feel pretty. She is such a MJ girl. Spirited, determined and sassy. Thank you, thank you for creating a line that is much more than pretty clothes but something a 1st grade girl takes pride in wearing. Bless YOU! I love the entire collection! Congrats! I couldn’t control myself. I teach kindergarten and I kept going to the computer to see the new items whenever, my kids were out of the room. I just wish that you would have more 10′s and 12′s. My daughter is 6 1/2 and needs 10s and 12s. I can’t imagine the day that she out grows MJC. So, please, please, please add more 10′s and 12′s so my little angel can still get her MJC. She is still little and needs to look like a little girl and not a teenager.

Yes! Focus on the good, don’t dwell on the bad (because there is none!). I can’t express how much I love Serendipity! I’ve been saving for this day; my wallet is lighter, but it’s SO worth it. I don’t have children of my own (fingers crossed for a little girl!…or a boy, now that I hear there will be a boy’s line!), so I focus on the women’s line and just can’t get enough of it. Every time I wear something MJC, I get compliments- such a great feeling! Thank you for your creativity; I love wearing things that are unique, things that not everyone has. MJC definitely rocks!

As a customer of MJC for over five years, it never ceases to amaze me of the sweetness that is transformed into each and every launch. This season is no exception……however, I do have one gripe. Please make more items in tween sizes. My daughters have grown up with this line, and so many pieces I was unable to purchase because the sizing ended at size 8. Trust me….I echo many other customers, 9 and 10 year olds still want to dress like a little girl-b/c they are still little girls themselves!
I must say… I was more in love in person that I thought I was gonig to be I’m glad I was finally able to get to a show in person. Living in Alaska = everything is more difficult (but Alaska redeems itself in other ways… I promise)

I absolutely can’t wait to see TGO!!! I truly LOVE MJC…it’s too cute for my sweet 3 year old boy though. Luckily I can wear it or I would have to buy it and give it away…I’m obsessed! I read the blog regularly (especially this time of year to get sneak peeks) and couldn’t believe my eyes a week or so ago when the rumblings began about the boys line. I called my AMAZING trunk keeper here in Bossier City, Louisiana—Suanne McConathy—and let me tell you how excited I was to know that it was a totally separate clothing line-GENIUS!!! Thank you for making precious clothes for me, for all the cutie pie little girls I know & now for my Sweet Mathis…we are going to ROCK TGO!!!

I wish I had a great story, but I really don't. It is quite simple actually; one day a friend of mine said I should make clothing so I did.
I wish I could say I started because I could not find any cute clothes for my kids, but surely that is not a problem. I wish I could say I am a "designer", but I pretty much just consider myself a girl who can't stop her brain from spinning.
The one thing I do not have to wish for is a great family and group of friends. These guys are what makes Matilda Jane rock. They are loyal and well-loved. They are also very patient for putting up with me and the ventures I pursue, sometimes on a whim. Oh, I do love them all.
