Oh Denise! I have missed you so! I have been so sick with my back and being in bed, that I rarely make it to the computer. I missed Hammond Bay completely and what a miss it was. YOU really outdid yourself on that one and must be soooo proud. We are scraping here, so it will be a while before I can investin MJC, but it will be worth the wait.

My son has Asperger’s so we do a lot of work with earning time to do what he wants with doing his chores, getting work done etc. His therapist said it is ok not to expect them to want to do things for people unselfishly. In life we all do things for a pay off. Even doing something nice for someone gives us kuddos. It’s like that episode of friends where Phoebe was trying to do something totally selfless and everything kept having perks for her. Finally she let a bee sting her as her selfless deed and her friends said “You know now the bee is going to die”. Oops. As long as the reward is not a thing(monetary), it’s ok to have payoffs for helping out, kids are very concrete. They will eventually learn on their own. Frustrating though…I know.
That is so sweet! Tiffy won’t let Brittany sleep in her room AT ALL. But, every now and then they do sweet things for each other and it melts my heart!!

Just wondering if you are going to have more of those fabulous ruffle skirts from Hammond Bay (shown with the Dance Yourself Silly Tank)coming in, ever?!? I am embarrassed to admit that I keep checking every day just hoping one day the picture will be back up with a size 18months or 2t. I wanted it for my daughter’s 2nd birthday party, but I know they sold out too quick. 
I cannot imagine a better party skirt…why do I get an outfit in my head and cannot seem to let it go?!?!
Gosh Denise. I have found the same things with parenting/teaching my kids. The “character” issues are the most difficult to teach and are tough for me too, kills me to see them be anything less than sweet to others, ya know? It seems to be hardest with my oldest for some reason. She can tend to be selfish and not always considerate of her younger brother and sister and it really bothers me and is hard to “teach” them how they should feel. :O)

Denise!!! I am watching the TODAY show (3/25 at 8:15 CST) and 2 little sisters being interviewed have on MJ!!! It is the story of a little girl, Cameron, who had a left hemispherectomy due to massive seiures. I am sure the video, or at least pics, will be on the website later. Cool, very, very, cool!
What a wonderful thing it is to wake up with a great idea, love that!! So much better then waking up and having to drag yourself out of bed. Rain here also but thats ok because i finally figured out what to do for my daughters Smurf bday party…woke up with some great ideas over the weekend and they keep coming. I sware i searched the entire web for Smurf party supplies but no luck so let the craft making begin. Only the “pancake maker” would want a party theme that was popular 25 years ago…love that girl soooooo much!!!!

Oh how I love my new hangers! Target online has Natural Wood hangers 30 for $25 and then those Non-slip hangers are a Dream! You can find them at Target, Kohl’s, anywhere – just Google them. They had them in black at Costco and Sam’s Club for something like 50 for $20. Beautiful and I NEVER thought that I would get so excited about a closet full of new hangers, but I SO did…
Not as excited as my MJC deliveries, but they look so pretty on my new hangers!!
Target IS love! When I don’t want to sit at home or clean I go to Target….get a diet coke, an icee and a bag ‘O popcorn for the kids and we just walk around…Things don’t change enough for me in there but it’s just a comforting store. Can’t explain it. No matter where we travel….Target is home. The different lay outs remind us of our favorite Target’s back in So. Cal. We pretend we are back home. Out West.
I can’t wait to get all of the pretty Hammond Bay items. I have literally bought EVERYTHING in the last month or so. Hopefully, the Wendy dress comes back. That is the only thing I don’t have yet. (fingers crossed)

OK so I am thinking that 4410 is either your house number or the date of April, 4th 2010. The number 56 is how many boxes that you have in your WONDERFUL garage to unpack still and 50 is the number of boxes that you have left inside the house or the other way around. If 4410 is the date of April, 4th 2010 then I think that is your goal day to be done with all of the packing. I wish I had a great story, but I really don't. It is quite simple actually; one day a friend of mine said I should make clothing so I did.
I wish I could say I started because I could not find any cute clothes for my kids, but surely that is not a problem. I wish I could say I am a "designer", but I pretty much just consider myself a girl who can't stop her brain from spinning.
The one thing I do not have to wish for is a great family and group of friends. These guys are what makes Matilda Jane rock. They are loyal and well-loved. They are also very patient for putting up with me and the ventures I pursue, sometimes on a whim. Oh, I do love them all.
