The new generation/now generation loves getting a text or an e-mail. My generation and parent’s grew up with letters. My parent’s love getting cards and letters…in the mailbox. My daughter and my mom have been exchanging cards, letters, notes etc since Amelia(1st grader) could first hold a crayon. She sends letters to aunts also. My mom and the aunts always write back to her. However, when Amelia writes to friends only some of them write back. I don’t want her to loose her love of “real letters” but explain that some parents choose the computer and texting as the way they communicate, so their kids use that too. We want to stay with the times, but still have the ability to write a sentence and form paragraphs.

Hi, I am so pumped for Christmas this year and I’ll tell you why, our 4 yr old daughter, Natalie (adopted from China last year)had 2 surgeries this year, one on Valentines Day (spinal) and most recent on 10/26, a 7 hr bladder surgery, allowing her to get out diapers and able to wear big girl underpants !!!! She, at 4 yrs old is catheterizing, all by herself !!! She is my inspration and hero, always smiling and joking.
Anyway, we are so proud to have her in our lives and magical how we were brought together from across the globe.
She loves her MJ clothes and would love to surprise her with the bag. Even if she doesn’t win it, know that I am thrilled to have shared our story, Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy 2012 !!!!!

I wish I had a great story, but I really don't. It is quite simple actually; one day a friend of mine said I should make clothing so I did.
I wish I could say I started because I could not find any cute clothes for my kids, but surely that is not a problem. I wish I could say I am a "designer", but I pretty much just consider myself a girl who can't stop her brain from spinning.
The one thing I do not have to wish for is a great family and group of friends. These guys are what makes Matilda Jane rock. They are loyal and well-loved. They are also very patient for putting up with me and the ventures I pursue, sometimes on a whim. Oh, I do love them all.
