Friends Forever is almost here! This summer flew by, and yes, we are so incredibly excited to show you all that we have in store for the fall. But first, we want to tell you all about last week’s Dress Rehearsal, our annual Trunk Keeper conference here in Fort Wayne, IN. Oh, it was so good to connect with so many of our fabulous Trunk Keepers who help make our company what it is!

We love to fill our conferences with fun, fashion, workshops, and more! The week began with our Senior Team Leaders showing off their artistic skills at Bottle and Bottega, a painting studio and wine bar. As their website says, β€œ’Every artist was first an amateur’ (Ralph Waldo Emerson). Some just need a little more coaxing to get started (ahem, wine, anyone?).” These ladies, along with Jeff, Matilda Jane’s CEO, showed off their skills by decorating some pretty Matilda Jane-inspired stemware.

As the week continued, we kicked off the official start of the conference with an awards ceremony and tribute to our wonderful friend, Denise DeMarchis. As we always say, Matilda Jane is more than just clothes, and to see so much heart and soul in one room because of what this amazing woman started was pretty incredible.

It’s easy to tell how much our Trunk Keepers support each other and truly care about one other as they shared their tips, tricks, and stories throughout the week. These awesome ladies are all about lifting each other up and celebrating the successes of the season and the difference they can make in the lives around them.

Now, it wouldn’t be a Matilda Jane conference without fashion, food, and fun….right?! Well, we tried to deliver all that and more! In between all the training and information, there was also a Platinum bag designing session and a little thing we call Art Fair. We love planning special little details to make our Trunk Keepers smile. It is just one of the things that makes this company so special!

Matilda Jane’s growth in the past few years is nothing short of amazing…Denise left some pretty big shoes to fill, and we want to continue to do more, be more, and create more! Our team is still growing, both at the home office and with new Trunk Keepers, so this week was really exciting as so many of us came together at Dress Rehearsal.

It was amazing to see all the love, soul, and excitement that was present. AMAZING, truly inspiring! You know that feeling when something just feels right? Or when you feel like all the pieces are falling into place? That’s what Dress Rehearsal felt like, and it makes me smile and feel a little giddy inside that I am lucky enough to be part of such a wonderful group of people. What a perfect way to kick off Friends Forever!

So now, time for a little giveaway… remember that adorable Lucia Shabby Top (the one with apples 🍎)? Well, comment below about one of your favorite people in your life and you both might get this beautiful top sent your way to start the school year off right!

Ciao for now,

Jenny Brannon - August 2, 2015 - 4:50 pm

My 4 year old daughter and I are in LOVE with Matilda Jane and the apple top!

Melissa Crawford - August 2, 2015 - 8:36 am

I think my two kids are pretty much the tops around here. I have a 4 year old daughter and a one year old son. What was I doing before I had kids? I don’t know.
They are truly the best. I hope they feel the same way about me!

Velma - August 2, 2015 - 12:35 am

My 5 year old is one of my favorite persons. She is still sweet and innocent and brings me such joy. She is a reminder of all that is good in this world.

Kelly - August 1, 2015 - 9:59 pm

My darling husband who supports my MJC addiction! Our daughters are naturally adorable, but add some MJC and (as our 4 year old would say) we have a “winner, winner chicken dinner!!

Courtney Olsen - August 1, 2015 - 11:46 am

My Mother. She taught me everything worth knowing about life.

selena spates - July 31, 2015 - 3:26 pm

Love the new backpacks

Elisha Goosie - July 31, 2015 - 7:39 am

There have been many people in life to inspire me and teach me things and help me become the person I am today but they person the most was my mom. She has been there for me through everything many crazy teenage years and so forth. Most of all she taught me how to love everyone no mater what color shape or where they come from because God doesn’t see them that way. She also taught me how to be compasitionate towards people and try to help those in need, one day you might need that extra help and you would want someone to do the same. Most of all she taught me how to be a fab mom. Still working on that one!

Rebecca - July 31, 2015 - 6:26 am

My favorite person is my husband. He’s truly my other half, and the person who helps put my soul to rest each and every day.

kara Fowler - July 30, 2015 - 10:57 pm

one of my favorite people is a newer friend, Becky Simmons. We met during a very tragic time in her life… the loss of her child. Her love, commitment and strength are immeasurable! she recently welcomed her first girl (after having 4 boys!) and of course I introduced her to MJ!!! She is a beautiful woman inside and out…

Abbey Bridges - July 30, 2015 - 5:39 pm

My grandmother! She taught me to sew and gave me a love for well made adorable clothes!

dana summerville - July 30, 2015 - 4:39 pm

Favorite people in my life right now are my kiddos and husband. Without their support and love, i would not have set out to follow my dreams and make life fun for children via my creative play studio and party place! Everyone deserves a great birthday and every parent deserves at least one stress free and see what actually happened that day!!

Magen henry - July 30, 2015 - 11:22 am

My best friend Tiffany, she is the sister I didn’t have! She is an amazing God fearing woman! She continuously encourages everyone around her and manages to do so much for others while still being an incredible mother, wife, and friend!

Courtney Chafin - July 30, 2015 - 10:33 am

One of my favorite people would have to be a little girl I had in pre k last year, her name is Jules and she is the sweetest little girl. Im good friends with her parents and she just loves all things girly. She doesnt currently wear MJ but what better way to start her off and get her momma hooked like the rest of us!

Jen Y - July 30, 2015 - 3:26 am

My husband and daughter….we are the perfect trio.. πŸ™‚ so blessed and enjoy each minute with them!

Nicole - July 30, 2015 - 1:29 am

My mom. She is my soul, my mentor, my best friendπŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

Tasha Roufs - July 29, 2015 - 11:06 pm

One of my favorite people in my life is my mother-in-law. She worked at a college for most of her life and truly has an “open door” policy. When you enter her home, no matter how busy she is, she drops everything to make you feel like you are the only thing that matters in the whole world. She takes time to personally invite students spending holidays alone to come celebrate with us. She asks about you, not to make small talk, but because she wants to know. If she knows students have financial hardships, she hires them to do odd jobs around her home. She embraces all cultures, races, religions, and everything else that makes each and every one of us unique. The world truly is a better place because of her.

Ashley Williams - July 29, 2015 - 10:23 pm

One of my favorite people? My MJ trunk keeper of course! And she needs two of these beautiful tops because she has two girls!!!! So why not give her one for free. πŸ˜‰ ✌🏼️❀️

Jennifer V - July 29, 2015 - 9:59 pm

My favorite person is my best friend, Janell. We met in 1st grade religion class at church and we’ve been friends ever since…almost 40 years!

Amber Hill - July 29, 2015 - 5:28 pm

My favorite person is my daddy. I may be 30 years old but I am still a daddys girl. No matter what comes my way I know he is there for me.

Marisha moreland - July 29, 2015 - 4:56 pm

My favorite person is my grandma. She taught me the importance of listening to people no matter their age. She said we all just want to be heard. She taught me to sew, cook, and see the beauty in the small things in life. I love my sweet grandma Lou Jane. I hope I can be a mom to my babies like she was to my daddy and I hope I can be a passionate grandma just like her.

Michelle Harbin - July 29, 2015 - 3:26 pm

My favorite person is my Daughter. She amazes me with her gross and learning every single day. She’s the smartest happiest most loving baby I have ever seen. I am so incredibly blessed to call her mine.

Debra Martin - July 29, 2015 - 2:39 pm

My grandma Nancy is one of my favorite people. She introduced me to fashion as a little girl, taking me shopping every summer as a tradition. A tradition we continued for almost 25 years. The year before last was special as we were able to include my first daughter who was only 6 weeks old in our special tradition. This year my second daughter was born and I continued the tradition with my now two daughters in her memory. My love of shopping and clothes is because of her. Now I spoil my two little girls just like she spoiled me during our special shopping time together. She would have loved Matilda Jane.

Misty Short - July 29, 2015 - 1:25 pm

Tassie, my two and a half, year old daughter, and is one of my favorite people. Even though she is little, she lights up my life more than I could imagine. She is a fun, carefree, and spicy little girl! That is why her nickname is, “Sassy Tassie” or “Sassy Tass.”

REBECCA ROMANYSHYN - July 29, 2015 - 12:53 pm

One of the people I am most blessed to have in my life is my dearest friend Sacha. We met many years ago when we worked together. We instantly connected and became fast friends. Years later she is now raising 3 beautiful daughters and I am raising to wonderful children. Although we no longer live in the same city, we remain best friends and important, and integral, parts of each others and our Children’s lives. She is beautiful in spirit and I am so happy she is in my life.

codi pierce - July 29, 2015 - 12:16 pm

One of my favorite people is my mom. I wouldn’t be the mom I am with out her footsteps to help show the way!

Brandi - July 29, 2015 - 11:07 am

if i can only pick one my favorite person would have to be my daughter! I never knew one single person could bring so much joy to my life and my whole family’s life she is truly the apple of our eye!

Lacrisha - July 29, 2015 - 10:54 am

Oh to choose just one……my oldest daughter, McKinley just turned 9. As we near the beginning of August we also near the anniversary of her being diagnosed 4 years ago with cancer. I am reminded daily how strong she is. I admire her for her for determination, strength, and for just all around sass! We are beyond blessed that we can celebrate remission and life. Thank you for beautiful clothing that not only celebrates life but also sass!

Angela T - July 29, 2015 - 12:12 am

One of my favorite people is my daughter Sidney! She is an amazing young woman with a sweet spirt and imaginative mind. She reminds me of what it’s like to be young with your whole life ahead of you. <3

Stacie Petta - July 28, 2015 - 11:43 pm

My comment won’t show up so I hope you got it! :/

Haley - July 28, 2015 - 11:28 pm

As odd as it may sound, my brother is one of my most favorite people that God blessed my life with. He is full of life, and his soul lights up every individual in his path. He reminds me daily what the true face of beauty is, even if he does rock an extra chromosome!

Ashley - July 28, 2015 - 10:16 pm

My favorite person in my life is my sweet, spunky daughter Ella! She is the most strong willed little lady I know, but also can warm my heart with her sweet little crooked grin!

Amy Stoller - July 28, 2015 - 9:56 pm

My bestie Amy. We have the greatest times when we are together, even when we are doing nothing at all.

Brooke Malko - July 28, 2015 - 8:42 pm

My cousin Courtney and I have both over the past 2 years bonded over our love for Matilda Jane and our love for our spunky, lip gloss loving, wild, messy little girls! I cherish her friendship, the way we can do life together in the midst of the chaos and craziness and still feel totally refreshed just chatting over a cold cup of coffee (because between our now 6 kids and one on the way we have obviously been interrupted 200+ times)and the way our kiddos play together! Our girls (we each only have one) need to rock these apple tops together 😜

Stephanie - July 28, 2015 - 6:35 pm

My favorite person is my sister Sarah! She is an amazing sister, friend, and aunt to my three children. After many years of dreaming of a child of her own she and her husband are expecting a baby in Jan! We would love another little girl to dress up in Matilda Jane!!

Elena - July 28, 2015 - 6:13 pm

Without a doubt, my 14 month old toddler is my favorite person in the world. Gianna Sofia, she is my tiny BFF! πŸ™‚ At times we find ourselves giggling together at anything or nothing at all. Perhaps the sound of her sweet and innocent giggles are just why I giggle along. The strong love and connection began when she was the size of a Chia seed in my womb. Whenever a mom to-be askes me how it feels to be a Mom, all I can say that it’s:

‘THE MOST AND ONLY INDESCRIBABLE AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE’ <3 <3

Jamie Thompson - July 28, 2015 - 5:39 pm

One of my favorite people is my sister, Lindsey. She is so thoughtful, kind, funny, generous, motivated, talented, hardworking, and just generally wonderful. I strive everyday to be more like her. She has yet to find the right guy or to be blessed with the children she desires so much, and instead of feeling sorry for herself she pours her love and affection into my children, her artwork, and her work. She is simply splendid. I love that lady!!

Cheri - July 28, 2015 - 4:44 pm

One of my favorite people is my cousin Erin. She welcomed us into her home last month for our family reunion (including giving up her own beautiful bedroom suite for us to use) and was nothing short of gracious and generous the entire time…despite ending up with an awful stomach bug our last couple of days.

We each have three children–girl, boy, girl–and by coincidence our youngest two are just a couple of months apart in age. I would LOVE to be able to surprise her with her first piece of Matilda Jane!

(Actually…it wouldn’t be Erin’s very first piece, just her little girl’s. I found out during the visit that one of our other cousins, who is an artist/jewelry designer, had purchased an outfit for Erin’s first daughter directly from Denise shortly after she started Matilda Jane. She shared this with me right around the time I found out Denise had been hospitalized immediately upon returning to Fort Wayne. Bittersweet.)

Julie - July 28, 2015 - 4:37 pm

One of my favorite people in my life is my daughter. One of the best things about her is her eyes almost disappear in happy squinty-ness when she smiles.

Heidi Ibarra - July 28, 2015 - 4:37 pm

My mom is onenof my favorite persons in the world, she is an extraordinarily strong woman that has worked her entire life to provide for her kids and now that ahe is older and her kids are all grown up, ahe continues to be a very active person, always working and with such a positive attitude

Melissa Peterson - July 28, 2015 - 4:37 pm

My favorite people are my daughter, Signe who teaches me more and more everyday when it comes to patience and that apples don’t fall far from the tree, then of course my three boys who are amazing and are growing into fine young men, who know how to make a statement where ever they go by doing good things for others, my husband too without him I wouldn’t have those 4 crazy kids. Then my best friend Sarah, it has been amazing knowing her for 20+ years and seeing how we both have grown, struggled and made our way into the world, and despite living thousands of miles away from each other, carving out time each day to talk. She inspires me so much, so much so I don’t think she will ever truly know.

Tina Spieker - July 28, 2015 - 4:24 pm

My mom is one of my favorite people in my life! She is always there when I need her and I couldn’t ask for anyone better!

Tiffany Reynolds - July 28, 2015 - 4:17 pm

One of my favorite people in my life is one of my daughters Destiny. Destiny is 4 months old and was born with Myelomeningocele Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus, bilateral clubbed feet, and a venous malformation. Even with full length casts on both of her legs, my girl is still smiling every day. Her strength and spirit is truly an inspiration.

Laura - July 28, 2015 - 3:48 pm

One of my favorite people is my daughter, Lucia!
Although still very little, she is the LIGHT and LIFE in our family. The sweetest little soul and has made our family of four complete.

Karhma Dent - July 28, 2015 - 3:23 pm

One of my fave people in m life is my friend & neighbour Katy. She homeschools her 3 biological kids, and is in the process of adopting her foster son. She makes most things from scratch, has a use for everything is an incredible cook, a patient free range style parent, and a woman who imparts her love of nature and wonder of the world & people.

Candace G - July 28, 2015 - 12:01 pm

One of my favorite people is my daughter, she is 2 and is away from home with Nana and Papa for a few days while my husband and her baby brother and I are here at home. She is truly such a joy, she loves everything about life and reminds me to look at the little blessings in life. I truly am the lucky one to have her!

Summer J - July 28, 2015 - 11:57 am

This is hard, my kids are all very special, I have 3 boys and my daughter is the youngest and she is has alittle bit of all 3 of her brothers in her, from be good at sports to having a big heart. She talks non stop and I believe she is making up for her 11 year old brother that can’t talk. She is the light of my life when things get me down and is there drawing me a picture to make me happy again or putting on a show with signing or acting. She is one of my favs (that’s how she would say it).

Heather Roe - July 28, 2015 - 10:10 am

My favorite person, without a doubt, is my mother. She lives and breathes through her children and grandchildren. Her actions are always through the heart of a mother, not just to her own but to others around her. She loves anything that sparkles. She would take a bath in glitter if allowed! i have tried to parent my children in the way of her example. She deserves to wear a crown daily. She is truly the queen of my heart!

Abby - July 28, 2015 - 10:09 am

One of my very favorite people is my sister Cary. Growing up we never really got to be all that close, but as we grew into adults, we found a ton in common. She is always there for me, helping me, listening to me, and giving me a positive spin on any situation. We don’t live close to each other, but talk frequently. We share a love of all things Matilda Jane and often even do shows together. πŸ™‚ <3 I am so excited to be able to visit her in just a couple of weeks. I would absolutely love to give something back to her, and her girls, when I go visit!!!

Bianca Andrea - July 28, 2015 - 10:07 am

my niece, she is a spunky little girl with a love for lizards and dragons. she is pretty funny too!

Mandy Hamilton - July 28, 2015 - 10:03 am

One of my favorite people is my best gal pal, Amanda. We met in college and have had the privilege of doing life together. Our children are the same ages and the best of friends which makes having play dates, outings, camping trips, vacations so much fun for everyone! Wouldn’t want to be on this adventure of motherhood without her!

Tressely - July 28, 2015 - 9:34 am

One of my favorite people is my sister. She is not only my best friend but someone I admire. She runs an in home day care while raising six kids, four under 5 years old! I don’t know how she makes it work but she not only slides by but rocks it!

Kristen D - July 28, 2015 - 9:12 am

My favorite people in my life are my two daughters. They have both changed me and my life for the better in so many ways. No one else has made my entire soul flood with unconditional love as they do every minute of every day. Being a mom is quite simply the bees knees. πŸ’•

Amanda Davidson - July 28, 2015 - 9:06 am

My mother is one of my favorite people. She puts her whole heart into creating beautiful clothing for friends and family. She recently started passing on her craft as she started teaching me to sew. I’m finding a new passion I never knew I had. Thank you mom.

Misty - July 28, 2015 - 8:15 am

Me: “Are you sucking your thumb?”
Her: “My mouth was keeping an eye on it.”
My daughter Quinn keeps us all on our toes!

Julie G - July 28, 2015 - 8:07 am

One of my favorite people is my mom. She’s going through a hard time now taking care of her ailing father but took time to come out for the birth of my second daughter. She’s also s fantastic 5th grade teacher so she loves apples!

Angela - July 28, 2015 - 7:26 am

One of my favorite people is my friend Mallori. She is the most hard working, dedicated, and caring people I know. Anything she puts her mind to she accomplishes!

Lindsay Schrage - July 28, 2015 - 7:20 am

One of my favorite people is my daughter Olivia. After being told that it would be unlikely that I would be able to have children, I was blessed with this sweet girl. She is funny, kind and so very loving. Last year she went off to kindergarten and though I was so excited for all the new things she would learn and do, I missed my girl at home with me so much. I know we will always be “friends forever”, but I’m also excited to see, as she grows, the new incredible friends she will meet and surround herself with.

Claudia Caesar - July 28, 2015 - 6:05 am

My favorite person is definitely my friend Lori. We met when our daughters were still Babies and connected instantly. 7 years later she is still a very important part of my life. She’s such an inspiring and positive person and always makes me smile after a tough day. I couldn’t imagine life without her anymore.

Hannah Lessner - July 28, 2015 - 2:28 am

One of my favorite people in my life is my 4 year old daughter Penelope. She is such a dynamic little person. Penelope is the total opposite of me. I am shy and laid back but she is so outgoing and driven. I find myself just wanting to be more like her!

Hong N - July 28, 2015 - 12:53 am

Besides husband and children, it’s my bestie! We’ve known each other for for over 18 years. We’ve been through so much together. We still talk and text EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Lol. Love her to pieces!

Chrisyina - July 28, 2015 - 12:39 am

Leigh Ann Morgan - July 28, 2015 - 12:37 am

My favorite people in my life would be my two precious girls, but it sounds as if you are wanting us to choose a friend so that we both get that adorable top!? In that case, I choose a childhood bestfriend, Lisa. She and I started kindergarten together, and still are wonderful friends! We now have two little girls that are best friends and are getting ready to start kindergarten. We’ve spent the summer together with our kiddos swimming, shopping, and just having fun. And now out girls are ready to start school on August 6th. They’d love to have matching MJ tops! ❀🍎❀. We love our MJC, and have a closet full of beautiful clothes ready to wear all year long.

Christina - July 28, 2015 - 12:36 am

To be honest, trying to choose between so many of the great people I’ve been blessed to have in my life was tough, but I would say my best friend, Audrey, is at the top of my list! We became friends when we started dating high school buddies and even after her relationship ended, our friendship had been cemented in stone. Fast forward 17 years later, we have celebrated weddings as one another’s maid of honors, talked our way through our first pregnancies with her living across the country

Jessica - July 28, 2015 - 12:21 am

One of my favorite people is my spunky little 3.5 year old, Maddy Rose. She is so full of energy and personality. She is so loving, sweet, and funny. She lights up every room that she enters and isn’t shy about the fact that she is a “real” princess. πŸ˜‚ She is the joy of my life.

Jamie - July 27, 2015 - 11:50 pm

My favorite person is actually two people, my sweet girls. 18m and 3 years old. They’ve made me a mother and they’ve taught me what life is all about. I can’t imagine life without their energy and sass! They definitely complete my life!

Mary - July 27, 2015 - 11:49 pm

One of my favorite people is my older sister Beth. Growing up I was the perfect little sister as in perfect at knowing just how to push my big sisters buttons and push them I did till she could stand it no longer and physically retaliated. This was our dance and we went round and round many times. I have three other siblings and very little conflict with them but today at the age of 41 I am closer to her than all the others. We have a bond that cannot be broken and she is my sweetest, dearest friend.

Brenda Z - July 27, 2015 - 11:48 pm

Aside from my love and my lovie and my dad and my mom. Ha, how can anyone pick?? Ok ok, it would be my 90 year old grandma. But no one believes she is 90. She has the spunk of a woman half her age and the drive of a mule. Not calling my grandma a mule…promise! She is lovely and sassy, but Godly and will still put me in my place at almost 40. She is my favorite person to do nothing with. And my daugther thinks she is bees knees too!

Tammy Ott - July 27, 2015 - 11:32 pm

One of my favorite people is my grandma. She is 87 years old. I have been blessed to have her in my life every day for the past 42 years. I would not be who I am without her influence. My two children are blessed to have their great grandma too.

Meredyth - July 27, 2015 - 11:18 pm

One of my favorite people is my best friend, Allison. She is such a strong woman and awesome mother. We’ve been best friends for almost 20 years now!

Cassie Lamar - July 27, 2015 - 11:15 pm

My favorite person is my sweet daughter Frankie Beth. She has been the greatest blessing and joy I have every experienced and has made me see good in the world and I love seeing experiences through her eyes. God knew what he was doing when he sent her to me. She is my heart πŸ™‚

Hayley Lia - July 27, 2015 - 11:13 pm

My little girl is one of my favourite people in the world. Piper is our miracle daughter, for 8 years we were told we would never have children (naturally) and yet now we have this almost three year old ray of pure sunshine. Recently we had a tough moment in our life, that left me devastated. I was often crying and on one particular day my little girl with her beautiful big heart came and held my hand, climbed into my lap and wiped away my tears.
We have just relocated to Austin for my husbands work and Piper starts preschool in 4 weeks, her first time at school. I would love nothing more then to surprise her with a beautiful new top that she can look back on in years to come and I can explain to her that it was my way of saying thankyou for being such a special person in my life.

LucyLeigh - July 27, 2015 - 11:11 pm

one of my favorite people is my daughter’s teacher, Mrs. Brittany. She has awakened a love of learning in my daughter and saw the magic that I see every day in my little girl. How can I not be eternally in debt to a person that helps to unlock the world for so many little souls?

Lisa Zandy - July 27, 2015 - 10:57 pm

My favorite person is my mother. She is the most selfless person I know, a true angel.
Three years ago, my aunt was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and shortly after that, a severe case of Encephalitis (which left my aunt unable to walk on her own, eat on her own, keep both eyes open, write, or speak well). My mother has so compassionately given up three years of her life to move in with my aunt and help her to do everything from using the restroom to fighting for her life. Every single second of every single day for three years my mother has devoted to her sister. She was there when she wanted to laugh, when she wanted to cry, when she wanted to die. My mom has taught me love, compassion, patience, commitment, selflessness, strength, and the true meaning of family. My aunt is now cancer free and getting stronger every day! I am so blessed to call such a beautiful person my mother.

Kate Stefani - July 27, 2015 - 10:56 pm

One of my best friends, Jenn Bailey, has been through thick and thin with me. We’ve had our children months apart, been in church small groups and mommy groups together, she gave my two year old an amazing birthday party after we lost our home and everything in it to a wildfire, she and I have been through good and bad and I can honestly say, we are friends forever.

Laura - July 27, 2015 - 10:40 pm

We start back to school in two weeks, so teachers are on my mind. My oldest spent almost three years at a preschool specializing in developmental delays. The teachers there were integral to his current success entering fourth grade, and very special to us. Two of these ladies have daughters now who would look amazing in Matilda Jane!

Deanna P. - July 27, 2015 - 10:09 pm

Besides my husband, daughter and family….one of my favorite people is a friend at work, Rita. We’ve worked together for 10 years now. She’s a little older, but we have a lot in common and clicked over our love of music. I can talk to her about everything, and she’s really helped me through rough times at home and work. She is very honest, and I don’t know what I’d do without her!

Cindy - July 27, 2015 - 10:00 pm

My favorite person is my daughter, Aimee. She turned 6 last week, and her bright and enthusiastic personality is so uplifting to our family.

Meghan May - July 27, 2015 - 9:56 pm

One of my most favorite people is my friend Sam! This women is a rockstar. She goes above and beyond for pretty much everyone.. This includes hosting multiple different fundraisers for foster children, autism and families in need. She is an amazing mommy to her 3 kiddos.. And is such a great friend. I know I can always count on her and don’t know what I would do without her!

Janice Wilder - July 27, 2015 - 9:51 pm

My favorite person is my friend Sherry Graves Harrison. She introduced me to Matilda Jane. She has 3 beautiful grand daughters. We lost touch with one another for a few years but have rekindled our friendship. We both retired to help with our grand daughters (I have 2 13 months apart). Sherry’s 2 younger gdaughters are 15 months apart. She has encouraged me for the last 3 yrs. She is an amazing grandmother. At our age it is not easy taking care of little ones so close in age. We both had one child ourselves. We both are so blessed to be able to be such a big part of our gdaughters lives. Sherry has encouraged and inspired me in so many ways she will never know. She is an amazing grandmother.

Meg M - July 27, 2015 - 9:40 pm

My friend Christine embodies what Denise and MJC are all about: beauty, creativity, and the most generous spirit. I have never met Christine. We live a thousand miles apart. But I trust her more than some of my closest friends in real life πŸ™‚
Really, how many people would send you a gorgeous and sentimental piece of clothing, just to make you smile?
I’m thankful to the BST world for introducing us and Im thankful to Chrostine for providing so much more than a bigger closet of beautiful dresses <3

Lindsey - July 27, 2015 - 9:31 pm

I feel so blessed to have many special people in my life! One of my favorites is my friend Whitney. She is so grounded, loyal, funny and loving. She encompasses the true qualities of friendship and means so much to me!

Sally - July 27, 2015 - 9:26 pm

One of my favorite friends is a gal named Jennie. It was her little girl who came over to my house wearing a Matilda Jane outfit. I had never heard of MJC, but I would never forget it after seeing her outfit and feeling how amazingly soft the material was. Jennie has been a good friend of mine for about 7 years and we just love Matilda Jane.

Shellye Poole - July 27, 2015 - 9:24 pm

One of my favorite people is Suzi Lander, she is the person I call when I’m excited and when I’m sad. I can always count on her and even though we live many states away from each other she’s remained my best friend! And we also get to share our love of MJ with our sweet little girlsπŸ˜‰

Alissa - July 27, 2015 - 9:11 pm

My mom! She is my best friend and such an inspiration to me!

Christina - July 27, 2015 - 9:11 pm

I am blessed to have MANY favorite people in my life! But, I will say, I have had the same best friend since kindergarten and she is definitely worth more than rubies. She is the mother of three (including twins), fights an intense battle with Chrone’s Disease, yet she always takes time to check in on ME. Her love is both humbling and inspiring. Thanks, ya’ll! πŸ™‚

Lori Bowen - July 27, 2015 - 9:05 pm

That person would have to be my husband. He fell in love with a fit, healthy, successful, confident woman. He ended up as my caretaker. He has seen me at my worst for years and stays completely supportive and committed. He gets stressed, but he works a full time job, comes home to a sick wife, energetic 3 year old and an unkept home. Who wouldn’t get stressed? But he doesnt complain and he loves me after all we have been through. He is my biggest cheerleader. He is my hero.

Joanne - July 27, 2015 - 8:47 pm

One of my favorite people is my husband. 2 weeks from now we will celebrate out 10 year wedding anniversary! After 20 years and more than half of my life with him, he is still the first person I want to tell when anything good, or bad, happens in my day.

Candace - July 27, 2015 - 8:42 pm

My favorite person is my mom. She is my best friend. I couldn’t do this crazy life without her. Also, I think my kids secretly love her more than me. πŸ™‚

Julia Abell - July 27, 2015 - 8:36 pm

One of my favorite people is my dad. He always encourages me to be the best I can be, always sees the best in me, encouraged me to choose a profession of serving others, but above all he has always loved me unconditionally! Love my daddy!

Deborah - July 27, 2015 - 8:31 pm

One of my favorite people, odd as it may sound, is my best friend’s father. When she and I met in college, I thought he was smart and kind but didn’t give it much more thought than that. Several years ago, my best friend passed away unexpectedly from childbirth complications. Her father has kept me connected to her son as he grows & her father and I have helped one another get through losing her. We both get a kick out of seeing her quirks show through in her son which shows how much personality is inherited as he never got to meet his mom!

Morgan - July 27, 2015 - 8:31 pm

One of my favorite people is definitely my husband. He is my best friend and biggest support. He is an incredible father to all our children, forever and temporary. It takes a special man with a huge heart to welcome and love children from hard places for however long they are a part of our lives. His dedication, compassion, and endless energy make him a huge source of joy in my life. I love him even more than I love MJ…and I love MJ a lot, ha!

Natalie Blanton - July 27, 2015 - 8:24 pm

My favorite person … Would have to be my best friend, Jacqueline, after all, she is the one I call when I am happy, sad, or even angry. She has been there for me through a very difficult divorce. We both have twin girls who are 8 months about. We met through a mom’s group 7 years ago. We both now have beach houses side by side in Ponte Vedra and everyone calls us the Blonde Bombshell. We are alike in so many ways. From our love of the gym to getting our toes done. Passion for both cooking and shopping. I must say our incredible bond is one that has come over our faith in Jesus Christ and I truly thank God for her as well as our 4 girls and the bond that we have been able to give them!

Courtney White - July 27, 2015 - 8:22 pm

One of my favorite people on the planet is my daughter, Piper! She was born 6 years ago with a rare craniofacial disorder called Treacher Collins syndrome. She has had 9 surgeries and is such a trooper! She is the sweetest little girl you could ever hope to meet. She is starting 1st grade this year and was the only kindergartner in her school last year to make it into the gifted program on test scores alone. She is truly an inspiration…I know she has changed both mine and my husband’s life for the better. I love that MJ has worked with the Changing the Face of Beauty organization…Piper would make a great future model πŸ™‚ I have bought MJ for her for years now…I love this top! It would be a perfect addition into her wardrobe!!

Danielle B. - July 27, 2015 - 8:14 pm

My mom is my favorite person…her selfless devotion, love, and support, especially now as I am a mother myself mean the world to me and I can’t imagine doing this without her!

Michelle Lamothe - July 27, 2015 - 8:01 pm

A very special person in my life is my 9 year old daughter Chloe. She has been a trooper this past year handling the autism diagnosis process for her 3 year old brother. We have tried to give her as much attention as possible but never the less her brother has taking so much of our time with the school district diagnosis and all the paper work associated with all his treatment and understanding so many more things.

She has never questioned his diagnosis and loves her brother more than any one else in the world. She protects him like he is her own child but yet pushes his boundries ever day. We can all learn something from our kids! My special person is my daughter Chloe.

Sarah Morrison - July 27, 2015 - 7:59 pm

My favorite person in my daughters life is my own father. He loved my sweet Isabella with all of his heart. He passed away almost 3 years ago and every time my sweet princess gets all dressed up she says”I bet papa would love this dress.” She and I think of him daily and love getting “all fixed up” for him.

Brittany Krivit - July 27, 2015 - 7:55 pm

My favorite person is my daughter. I never knew how much love you could have for one person until she came along. She makes like amazing. We have only been together for a short time but these least 16 months have been a blast!

Deborah Lowe - July 27, 2015 - 7:49 pm

One of my favorite people is my daughter Kacie. She is a bubbly nine year old with Down Syndrome, and thinks she’s sixteen. She is colorful, sparkly, and she’s my hero. She shows me how life should be lived.

Katie Phelan - July 27, 2015 - 7:48 pm

Choosing a favorite person isn’t an easy task, but hands down my favorite little girl is my sweet and sassy daughter, Kennedy. She is strong willed, fearless and so much fun…a big personality in a small package!

Lisa b - July 27, 2015 - 7:46 pm

My favorite person is my sister. She always gives selflessly, and make me a better person!

Shana Hice - July 27, 2015 - 7:45 pm

My favorite person is my sister. She is a school teacher and she treats my daughters like her own. She truly is my best friend!

Heather Muller - July 27, 2015 - 7:37 pm

My daughter Lucy, her pure joy and delight in the world around her makes every day special.

Courtney S - July 27, 2015 - 7:28 pm

Oh choosing a favorite is easy. πŸ˜‰ My sweet husband is at the top of my list of fave people. He loves me exactly like I want my daughter to be loved by the man she’ll marry someday.

Liz - July 27, 2015 - 7:16 pm

One of my most favorite people is my oldest son. I almost died after having him (he was a twin…twin caused placenta ecreata and I hemorrhaged). After emergency surgery and several blood transfusions I was finally able to hold him. He amazes me daily..is hilarious, strong, independent, and a confident 8 year old. He has struggles but he gets through them! He now has a brother and a sister but every time I tuck him in at night I see the young man he is becoming and I think about how he came into this world…. I count my blessings!

Katie - July 27, 2015 - 7:11 pm

My daughter is one of my favorite people. She is full of joy and so fascinated by everything around her, and the fact that it took us nine years and several heartbreaks to have her makes her even more precious. Her sweet little voice, even when she’s saying, “Nonononono!” is the most beautiful sound in the world. I pray that we will guide her to grow into an intelligent, caring person who will continue to bring joy to those around her.

Katie Pangrazio - July 27, 2015 - 6:55 pm

One of my favorite people is Amy Peck. She is my best friend, my daughters first sitter, and she is an amazing momma who is not only raising her own kids but has taken in her nephew too! She loves my daughter Lessie’s clothes and teases me that she would wear them if they were in her size. She reminds me of the fun mix in prints that I love on Lessie…it takes a little bit of many things to get the perfect balance, not only in clothes but in life, love, and happiness! She truly believes kids should be able to play and be kids with happy and safe homes!

Brianna - July 27, 2015 - 6:41 pm

My favorite person is my mother, she is so supportive of everything I do and always knows the right things to say! I would be lost without her! πŸ’šπŸ’š

Jen G. - July 27, 2015 - 6:39 pm

One of my favorite people in my life is my best friend, Jill. Jill and I met our first day of college and were instantly friends- we’ve had countless adventures together including living out of my car for a summer in Cape Cod….by choice! Best summer of my life! We have some distance between us but talk 3-4 times a week on the phone. I’d be lost without her!

Christine S. - July 27, 2015 - 6:35 pm

One of my favorite people in my life is my amazing friend Meg. We met on the bst boards and became fast friends! We share our daughter’s closets, sending beautiful platinum pieces halfway across the country so both of our daughters can enjoy them. It’s not all MJC, we talk about everything, giving each other advice on family and other things going on. She’s my go to when I need to talk! Although we’ve never met IRL she is definitely one of my closest friends and I’m thankful for our friendship ❀

Christy Campbell - July 27, 2015 - 6:30 pm

My mother is one of the most important people in my life. For many obvious reasons because she is my mom, but she is the most selfless person I know. She is constantly doing for others even when it takes away from herself. She is always doing amazing things for my kids and they are extremely blessed to have such wonderful grandma. I love her with all my heart and soul.

Brandon Henderson - July 27, 2015 - 6:28 pm

Woot! Woot! Jeanne-Marie Gisclair LaRue! She introduced me to Matilda Jane by inviting me to her show. I fell in absolute love with all the fabulous clothes and THEN…. I joined this wonderfully kind and giving community of women who share a love of dressing their children with pride AND most of all share a generous spirit, a friendship, a *MAGIC* that i haven’t found anywhere in the bst community. Thanks to Jeanne-Marie, I get to share the excitement of Friends Forever and my love of MJ with a true friend and this little niche of women.

Hannah - July 27, 2015 - 6:26 pm

One of my favorite people is my mom. She raised my and my two brothers alone because my dad was a missionary and the she widowed when I was 10. She fought for her children, she didn’t care to be our best friend but she wanted to be the best mom. She has overcome so much and still smiles and laughs and always gives praise to the Lord. She’s 82 and still works full time to spread the word of the Lord.

Megan B - July 27, 2015 - 6:16 pm

One of my favorite people is my husband’s grandmother. Her name is Betty but we all call her Super. And that’s exactly what she is, a super woman! She’s 87 and one of the most active people I know. She’s always working with various charities or hanging with her friends. She’s very involved with her church too. She’s always running! I swear she gets more speeding tickets than me. She’s a tough woman and tells it how it is. I love her honesty. Having lost my grandparents at a young age, she’s taken me in like her own. She’s not my husband’s grandma, but my grandma too. And that’s why I love her and why she’s one of my favorite people.

Stefanie C - July 27, 2015 - 6:00 pm

My friend Emily. I don’t make friends easily and I really needed one. God put Emily in my path to be my friend when I need one the most. She has a beautiful soul & 4 amazing children (3 boys, 1 girl). She is the kind of person I want to be more like and I hope someday I can pay forward the kindness and friendship she has given to me and my family.

Lacy Fisher - July 27, 2015 - 5:40 pm

Kelly Carter - July 27, 2015 - 5:32 pm

My favorite person is my daughter who has aspergers, but even through her struggles with social cues she is the most compassionate and kind hearted soul, this is per her teachers tell us this, but I already knew this to be true of her.

Heather - July 27, 2015 - 5:28 pm

Of all of the wonderful people in my life, my Husband is my favorite person hands down. He guides, loves, protects, supports and finally understands the importance of continuing to add MJ into our household πŸ™‚

Michelle Gresham - July 27, 2015 - 4:56 pm

Two of my favorite people are my kids–Hope and Jack. I was worried how Hope may react to a new baby in the house, but she is just the best big sister ever to baby Jack. I am very grateful to have such a loving, self-less daughter. <3

Stephanie - July 27, 2015 - 4:37 pm

My favorite person is my mom! She’s been through a lot lately and she is always so strong! She’s selfless and always thinking of others before herself. She’s had a very tough life and lost her mother at a young age, but she is the most incredible mother to myself and my brothers. She loves seeing Madison in Matilda Jane because it keeps her little looking. We were both so sad to hear of Denise’s passing, my aunt died from ovarian cancer. We are both looking forward to the new release. I am hosting a show on Sunday!

Jen Raymond - July 27, 2015 - 4:29 pm

My favorite person is my dad… He has always worked hard to provide for his family… He loves his children and grandchildren with all that he has… He’s fun to hang out with… He past down his witty sarcastic sense of humor to me!! He was my rock during a long and terrible divorce!

Lisa - July 27, 2015 - 4:19 pm

One of my favorite people is my sister Jen. Not only is she me best friend, but always there for me when I need her. Like when we helped support each other while going thru infertility treatments at the same time. Can’t imagine my life without her!!

Susan Bjork - July 27, 2015 - 4:18 pm

One of my favorite people in the world is my sister. She has always been there for me, even when I didn’t want to be there for myself. If her kindness was a debt I had to pay back, I’d leave this world having barely made a scratch.

Sarah M. - July 27, 2015 - 4:14 pm

One of my favorite people in the whole world is my best friend, Angie. We were randomly paired as roommates in college, and from the first night we stayed up for hours talking, we became instant friends. We now live three hours apart but spend countless hours on the phone talking and supporting each other through every step of our lives. Our daughters were even born just four days apart – hers was born on my daughter’s due date! I wish she lived closer, but I don’t know what I would do without her. FRIENDS FOREVER! πŸ™‚

Erin A - July 27, 2015 - 4:14 pm

Gena Golden is one of my favorite people I’ve met through Matilda Jane. Due to MJ we’ve been able to share raising our daughters in 2 very different worlds, Okla and Puerto Rico. The world of MJ has opened my eyes beyond my little circle.

Kate Edwards - July 27, 2015 - 4:10 pm

One of my favorite people in the whole world is my husband! We have been together for 15 and married for 10! We were highschool sweethearts, went to college close to eachother, and now after several hard years of infertility we have a almoat 7 year old daughter Emma and 21 month okd twins Jack and Sophia! My favorite person was my grandma Verna. She was kind, generous, beautiful, wise, hard working and amazing. She was all the things I hope I will be one day.

Amanda Hester - July 27, 2015 - 4:06 pm

There are so many wonderful people in my life. It’s hard to name a specific favorite, but I’m going to stick with someone who I know strictly through Matilda Jane. I had commented on a post looking for someone who makes headbands. Colson Mason replied telling me she makes headbands, and it all started from there. She is always cheerful. Her personality exudes through the computer. No matter who she talks to, she gives out the same amount of sweetness. She is generous. She gives things away constantly. She posts pictures of her sweet daughter Davina in all of her MJC goodies almost daily, and she just really brightens my day. COLSON makes me thankful that I found Matilda Jane not too long ago. She is the example of someone I want to be like.

Kristin Z - July 27, 2015 - 4:06 pm

One of my favorite people is my Papa. Though he left us in February, so many of the life lessons that I hold dear came from him. I love and miss him every day.

Maryann E. - July 27, 2015 - 4:03 pm

One of my faves has to be my mom! After 6 years, I am getting ready to head back to teaching and it’s hard getting a classroom ready and new lessons prepped for preschool kiddos while taking care of my own children! My mom is coming to visit to help me out in my classroom and has volunteered to assist me in running our vacation bible school during this crazy time! I’m truly blessed πŸ™‚

Beth - July 27, 2015 - 4:01 pm

One of my favorite people is my sweet daughter, Claire whom I affectionately call “Claire Bear”. She is a smart, precocious, caring, tender-hearted, and beautiful little girl who never ceases to amaze me with what she comes up with next. I always dreamed of having a daughter of my own and I feel so blessed to be her mama. The joy she has brought to my life is immeasurable!

Nicole (NLLM) - July 27, 2015 - 4:01 pm

One of my favorite people in my life is my husband. He has been around to support me for so many years. We want to raise our children to be kind, love everyone and give more hem you receive. This brand reflects that and that’s why we love it for our kids. Still praying and thinking of Denise’s family.

Sarah - July 27, 2015 - 4:00 pm

My Granny. Although she suffers from dementia and no longer remembers me, I will always be thankful for the love that she showed me and for the old fashioned summers that I spent with her and my grandpa at their house in the country.

Emily - July 27, 2015 - 3:52 pm

Jennifer DeYoung - July 27, 2015 - 3:48 pm

One of my favorite people in my life is probably my best friend Monique. Monique and I met when I was pregnant with my daughter back in 2009. Our friendship has really blossomed over the past few years. Monique and her husband started trying for a family of their own back in 2010. They quickly found out that they were unable to have children of their own. Fast forward to 2014. Monique and her husband decided to adopt!! They are currently one of the waiting families with Covenant Care Adoption services. Monique’s strength and faith in God has truly been an inspiration!! I would love to share an adorable MJ piece with her! We have no idea if she will have a son or a daughter, but she and I both have a feeling it will be a little girl, and how adorable would she look in MJ?!?!?!?

Bridget - July 27, 2015 - 3:45 pm

My favorite person is my husband. I know it might be cheesy but we have been together for 15 years…married for 8 of those. He is the most incredible partner and father. I thank Jesus daily for his leadership and love.
