The Social Scene

Hi everyone! July is already here….can you believe it? Hopefully you are enjoying your many summer adventures and some special time with family and friends. Here at the MJC Home Office, we have been busy preparing for our fall collection. We can’t wait to see what you all think!

I can’t believe that I have already been here over three months — wow, how time flies!  I have definitely been keeping busy and learning something new every day. There truly is so much that goes on behind the seams here at MJC, and it has been lots of fun putting together giveaways, updates, news, and more for you, our amazing customers. Seeing you and your darling daughters wear, enjoy, and create moments in your Matilda Jane is the best part of all of this. Thank you for sharing your moments with us, we love it!

This season also marked the launch of our 435 by MJC clothing line and Instagram account. We kicked off our @435byMJC Instagram account with a fabulous Photo Love contest and guest appearance by G. Hannelius. Our Photo Love winner Tara Wanner did such an amazing job capturing the fun, color, and playfulness of our tweens. It was definitely a perfect summer picture that embodied what the 435 line is all about!

So as we prepare for fall, we want to hear from you! Please let us know your thoughts about our social media. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, the MJC blog…what do you think? Too much? Too little? We are always thinking about new ways to reach out to you and include you in our family. Hopefully you have enjoyed some of the new ideas! As you know, we are an unpredictable clothing company, with creativity, uniqueness, and love in our DNA. Please leave a comment below with your thoughts on social media, and a few of you will receive some MJC goodies. Have an amazing weekend!

Ciao for now,

Alicia - July 17, 2015 - 9:20 pm

I first found out about MJC because of the children’s clothing first, but since have fallen truly in love with the women’s clothing line. I appreciate a prescience on FB and Pinterest when I’m putting ideas for my wardrobe together. Thank you for your inspiring designs that make a mom feel fashionable again;)

Caroline - July 15, 2015 - 11:34 am

I love Matilda Jane. Period. So, more posts about anything is great for me and for maybe someone who hasn’t yet experienced MJ before! I think it is also a great way to keep the legacy of Denise and what she and Matilda Jane has done for thousands of little girls and moms across the world. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for everything!!!

Jenelle R - July 15, 2015 - 5:16 am

I love all the facebook posts. Facebook is how I stay connected to my other MJ mom friends and it’s great to easily see what’s going on at MJ through your facebook page. I also love the blog for a more in-depth look at the MJC world. I will say that I would love more surprise Plat loads. Not more loads in general, just would love if the loads were more of a surprise instead of being announced beforehand.

SC - July 14, 2015 - 4:34 pm

no other clothing company even comes close to how connected MJC is in social media to their customers. Y’all do an amazing job making us each feel like we are somehow apart of the magic that goes Into creating the beautiful works of art we call clothes. I always look forward to reading the blog and seeing any sneak peeks of what is yet to come. I’m always left wanting to see more but the anticipation is part of the excitement on release days and platinum load days.

Natalie Griswold - July 14, 2015 - 1:15 am

I love the social media outreach that you do! I love when you do your own sneaks like you did for the vault! It helps in adding to the excitement of MJ! It’s not just clothes, it’s a way to make you and your daughter feel like a princess everyday! 🙂

Linda Swart - July 13, 2015 - 11:24 pm

I love all the ways you reach out to your MJ customers through social media. If keeps us in the loop of the “happenings” how we as customers are important to the MJ family. I love keeping up with posts!

Jennifer Timmons - July 13, 2015 - 11:17 pm

I love the Facebook and pinterest connections! I’ll see an outfit posted and I just got to have it for my daughter. Matilda Jane clothing is so feminine and classy with a touch of whimsy. Perfect for a little girl or a woman. Wearing something beautiful just puts a smile on your face. It’s so versatile that a dress from last fall can be a top next spring, and still be in style. Keep it up Matilda Jane.

Terri Waite - July 13, 2015 - 10:21 pm

I think your social media is just the perfect blend – not too heavy that its overdone, but rather just the right amount. Suspense to release day is always the fun part! We fell in love with MJ about 3 years ago – we started with just one “special outfit” – well, that theory didn’t last long! lol! Both my daughters and myself have a closet full of MJ – wearing it almost everyday! We love the versatility of layering, patterns, mixing and matching and everything from dressy to super comfy! And because its so unique we get compliments every day and most important….MJC allows every girl (young or old) to look and feel special 🙂

Rebecca Pirkey - July 13, 2015 - 10:00 pm

Love seeing MJ posts with cute outfit combinations! Always looking forward to seeing the new ideas

Bethany - July 13, 2015 - 9:40 pm

We love MJC! Mostly follow via Facebook…but love how you attempt to reach all outlets! We can’t wait for the fall release!!!

Jennie Marmol - July 13, 2015 - 9:24 pm

I love seeing outfit combo ideas as well as sneaks! I always end up spending more when there are more sneaks! I also love the blog posts that tell the story behind the designs.

Jennifer Ostrenga - July 13, 2015 - 5:53 pm

Love the Instagram and FB sneaks! They get us so excited about what’s coming up (and how much $$ we are about to spend haha). I also love to see info about Mighty Acorn and Changing the Face of Beauty. I love that your company does so much to give back

Cortney keene - July 13, 2015 - 4:43 pm

Your balance of posts is almost perfect. Not too much, not too little. Just would enjoy more sneaks! Keep up the good work.

Andrea - July 13, 2015 - 12:49 pm

I love combo ideas that mix the old lines with new lines. I think your social media involvement is perfect. I love giveaways and the interaction you provide! I can wait for Fall Sneaks!

Kate - July 13, 2015 - 10:08 am

I have yet to take the dip into IG but MJ might just might give me the motivation. I love seeing other’s ideas about combos and shoes. I find pininterest not as helpful because I want to know line names and where to purchase 🙂 But I still tag things on there lol.

Dana Summerville - July 13, 2015 - 9:03 am

I love the social media connections MJC uses. I love the blogging..more personal connection and draws me in! Love what you are doing!

Florence Taylor - July 13, 2015 - 8:46 am

I love it, the brand recognition. Garnering creative mix & match or combo options. I love advocating little girls/young women in a positive, tasteful & fun light. I love it all.

Christina - July 13, 2015 - 7:59 am

I think your social media posts are key in this ever-changing world. I especially appreciate your blog and Instagram posts, as I am one of those last few who is NOT on Facebook. Between my 3 young kids and my teaching career, I want to be sure I have enough time for them without always being plugged in to the computer or my phone. However, I am a photo fanatic and Instagram is the perfect outlet for me to share my little munchkins with my friends and family. Keep the sneaks coming and keep up your positive spirit and spunk that makes Matilda Jane what it is!

Pamela - July 13, 2015 - 3:29 am

I think you guys do an excellent job with your social media. My suggestion would be to release a few more sneaks before releases and a little more in advance. Everyone gets excited for the next release within a week of the last release (if not right after the latest release). Also, posting sneaks a little earlier before a new line release as that first release of the line is the most exciting! I absolutely love the outfit possibility posts. I also love seeing the behind the scenes pictures!

Becky Bain - July 13, 2015 - 2:39 am

I love all of the social media. I honestly see more posts on Facebook since it’s the main social media outlet I use. Tge sneaks are my favorite!

I would rather Plat be unannounced. It keeps the excitement going. I do love the limit on Plat. 😉

Heather Scott - July 12, 2015 - 11:03 pm

I appreciate how MJC interacts with all of the customers on various social media outlets. The sneak peeks are my personal favorite. So excited to see what the newest line will have in store for myself and my MJ loving girls 🙂

Taylor Phillips - July 12, 2015 - 9:02 pm

I think you’re perfect!! I love that there are teases with sneaks and building the suspense to a release. It creates the perfect unpredictable moment here. And the blog always seems to have the perfect thing to say at the perfect time in my life, I wouldn’t mind a few more “heartfelt” blogs more often. Platinum is incredible, I don’t think it should be announced, there are already too many who use it to make funds rather than to just love the product. It needs to stay as secretive as possible or it will lose its value. Thanks for listening!!

Heather McGlennon - July 12, 2015 - 7:04 pm

We are fairly new to MJ within the last year and just love all the fun styles, colors, and innocence of the clothes. I have a 2 year old and love to dress her girly when she lets me 🙂 Love to see all the posts on IG and FB of all the pretties. Makes me want them all! Keep up the great work and can’t wait to see the new fall line.

Ilona Shelest - July 12, 2015 - 6:42 pm

Love Instagram! Specifically the sneaks, name the dress, always the platinum reminders

Colleen - July 12, 2015 - 6:25 pm

I love the social media accounts and don’t think you overpost. I think the interactive posts are a lot of fun. “Name the dress” for platinum or photo contests allow customers to have more contact and ownership. Sneaks are always appreciated! Maybe add some “hints” for fall so customers can start shopping for coordinating shoes or other accessories.

Stacey Carey - July 12, 2015 - 3:29 pm

Definitely not too much!!! I’ve done a lot of social media research for our business consulting gig, and I think you could definitely post more frequently (especially to Instagram)… And fun giveaways and such are always such a fun big hit… the cardigan giveaway was tons of fun! I think there could be some great ways to incorporate giveaways to Instagram as well… =) Love you guys! <3

sue goecker - July 12, 2015 - 2:43 pm

Please add my name to your blog post and newsletter. Keep up his wonderful job for such a cause. W Lafayette IN

Raegan - July 12, 2015 - 2:20 pm

I love seeing pairing ideas..new mixed with old lines. There are so many options for different outfits we would never think of without social media!

Amanda - July 12, 2015 - 1:54 pm

LOVE the social media!! The only thing I miss is the “Outfit of the Day” posts you did for PBN–LOVED those!!!!

Dana Stigall - July 12, 2015 - 1:22 pm

I love the love you spread with social media! Combo ideas and sneaks give me goose bumps! The pics are artistic, creative, and just plain fun! Keep it up!

Christine S - July 12, 2015 - 12:40 pm

I love all the social media! Great way to keep up to date on happenings, outfit ideas, sneaks! I also really like when you ask our suggestions (name the dress for example) Such a fun way to be involved with the company!

Argentina Oler - July 12, 2015 - 12:27 pm

love MJ my girls have been wearing it for 3 years now. I follow you on Facebook and love all your post

Meghan May - July 12, 2015 - 11:33 am

I love being able to follow MJC! Personally only use Facebook and occasionally check out Instagram. I think you guys do a fabulous job on keeping us all in the loop and intrigued by what’s going on there. I think it may be cool to do a customer piece… Meaning holding some sort of contest where one winner is able to be apart of designing one of the pieces for either a platinum load or a collection piece… I know some of the longtime MJ buyers have some amazing ideas for pieces they would love to see and fabrics they would use. Hope you all are getting some time to enjoy the summer as well!

Amanda mcguire - July 12, 2015 - 9:00 am

When I read this blog, I decided to take a look at your fb page. I think the frequency of posts are good. The give aways are awesome. However, I noticed that I’ve only seen about 20% of them on my newfeed. I’m not sure why I haven’t seen the others. Since there are those awesome giveaways, I’m going to be looking at it more often

Karen Colley - July 12, 2015 - 7:25 am

would love to see more sneaks of new lines posted! Love ya!

kate EdwArds - July 12, 2015 - 2:08 am

I LOVE all of the social media posts! I would love to see more sneak peaks of upcoming lines! Also I would love to see more posts showing different combos to give more ideas! Can’t wait to see what the Fall brings!!

Kendra - July 12, 2015 - 1:35 am

I love it when you post outfit ideas, especially when you feature several options (Wear It Wednesday). I love the sneaks and blog posts, too. Keep it coming. 🙂

Autumn Hooper - July 12, 2015 - 12:24 am

i love the fact of social media in connecting with MJ. You can see updates and all the new post anytime at your convince. I would like more ideas outfits and mixing and matching different pieces. But love the clothes and the quality!!

Jaymie DiSaia - July 12, 2015 - 12:08 am

My daughter has been wearing MJ for a few years and I def see an increase in the frequency of social media posts and activity. It’s nice to be let in on the secrets, but I also miss the “mystery” and exclusivity. I loved when “name the dress” was a regular blog post on Thursdays and I think those kind of customer creativity driven contests are a a blast! It’s so fun to feel like you’re part of the process and I think really special things like that are what set companies apart from the mainstream/mall brands. Name that dress, photo contests, mix n match contests are all cool. I also saw where someone mentioned wanting to see more line mixing. I love mixing it up and I think that would be a very cool contest. MJ current fan base and market does always rely on the past as well. I look forward to seeing the new collection!

Jeri Ann McBride - July 12, 2015 - 12:02 am

I think MJ posts are perfect! Just like the clothes! 🙂 MJ rocks!

Lauri - July 11, 2015 - 11:54 pm

I think you are doing a fabulous job with your social media! How could anyone ever see too much MJ??

Lindsey - July 11, 2015 - 11:46 pm

We were just introduced to MJ this spring. My daughter wore the most adorable MJ to her first birthday party. I began flowing MJ on Facebook and I look forward to seeing pictures with the clothing and ideas on different ways to wear the clothing. I’m always looking for “unique” pieces and MJ brings that to the table!

Jayme - July 11, 2015 - 11:08 pm

I think more posts would be good, and also outfit ideas would be helpful, especially mixing new line with older lines. It seems like everything is so top secret so it would be nice to be in the loop more. I typically don’t know what time carting is for releases and have to stalk my TK for that, so even announcing those things would be nice.

Heather Doncaster - July 11, 2015 - 10:42 pm

You’re doing wonderfully on the social media front! I personally keep up with MJC through Facebook. I’m practically geriatric in my tech finesse and don’t tweet or use Instagram. I love Pinterest but don’t think to go there for much more than recipes and crafting. I can’t wait to see what new colors and styles the fall collection brings! I’ll continue to check in with MJC via Facebook. 🙂

Ati K - July 11, 2015 - 10:07 pm

I think it is just right! I love that it feels personal (like Denise wanted), it’s not too much, and all of the sneaks and contests! I also think it’s great when the blogs spotlight designers or others inside MJC. ❤️

Sarah - July 11, 2015 - 9:59 pm

I loved the Instagram teasers for the vault- that was so fun! It would be neat if you guys did a monthly hashtag contest “#mjcbacktoschoolootd ” etc… Instagram is such a great visual platform and way to connect.

Eve Mock - July 11, 2015 - 9:39 pm

I’m happy to see you are using Instagram more for those of use who don’t have Facebook. I’m always up for more sneaks! I really liked the outfit of the day posts you did with, I believe, Paint by Numbers and would love to see that again with Forever Friends! ❤️

Krista Gongwer - July 11, 2015 - 9:35 pm

I love the photo contests, the preview pics of the new releases and the share the love around the holidays. My daughter is the average size of an 11 or 12 yr old at 8 yrs old and I love that I can dress her in MJ as an 8 yr old should look. Love ruffles and flowers. Love MJ!

Pam wirges - July 11, 2015 - 9:34 pm

Im fairly new to M.J. And enjoy seeing your post on Facebook. and I’am so impressed with your customer service,( quick responses, went over and above my expectations), generosity, and how much your company sincerely cares about their costumers. I enjoy all that you do,

June mercer - July 11, 2015 - 9:28 pm

I follow u on Facebook, your blog and Pinterest. A grandmother buying for her grandkids is not always up on latest internet sites but use these occasionally. Like getting a heads up on platinum uploads and have ordered every season since I found you on regular collections as well as many times on platinum. Am amazed at creativity and love seeing fabric selections and accessories.

Christie Padgett - July 11, 2015 - 9:17 pm

I think it creates a more personal ” down to earth” experience with your customers by being active on social media! I love it! Keep it up!

Kelly - July 11, 2015 - 8:49 pm

I really only have time to periodically check my facebook and do not get on other forms of social media except for the rare occasion, so I appreciate the updates that I do see! I like the outfit ideas and the photography. I would love to see more sneak peeks!

Roxanna - July 11, 2015 - 8:41 pm

I love following you on Facebook and the blog. I appreciate how responsive you are to comments posted on Facebook. Also, although not related to social media, I appreciate the email feature added as even if I do not get to Facebook on a particular date…the email is another way to keep up to date on what is going on at MJ. Thanks.

Jenny Thompson - July 11, 2015 - 8:12 pm

I think you do a great job with your social media right now! I love that you are so accessible to your customers. I’ve seen several times when you’ve asked a customer to get in touch with you over a comment on social media. It shows that you truly are trying your best to find what your customers are looking for. Keep up the great work!

Amanda - July 11, 2015 - 8:08 pm

I love all the social media posts! The previews are the most fun! There is just never enough. 😉

julida - July 11, 2015 - 8:05 pm

I personally like less is more, unpredictable 🙂 the public media is great and sneaks are just as good but leaving some things to surprise is the exciting part! However I love reading the blogs and updates!

Robin - July 11, 2015 - 7:45 pm

We love all things Matilda Jane! I would love to see more outfit combos! Maybe post a piece and ask for outfit combos with that piece using current and past lines with a special hashtag. I always love when I stumble upon something from a new line that is an adorable match to something from a past line. To me that is a huge part of the appeal of Matilda Jane. We have a growing closet of unique and adorable clothes that mix and match instead of a generic revolving closet.

Sarah - July 11, 2015 - 7:19 pm

Love they way you can connect with all of us on social media!! Love previews!

Jennifer Frere - July 11, 2015 - 7:16 pm

I’m newer to MJC, buy love everything I’ve seen from you so far! Keep up the great work!

Janeen - July 11, 2015 - 6:49 pm

I spend most of my social media time on pinterest. I love looking for new outfit ideas there. I recently purchased some MJ for myself so my daughter and I could have some matching outfits. The quality is just phenomenal.

Lily Collins - July 11, 2015 - 6:33 pm

I would love to see more posts about how individual items are running with perhaps different models wearing the same size or different sizes. Everyone is a different shape and it really helps to see maybe some larger sized ladies in the adult MJ.

Nikki DeSantis - July 11, 2015 - 6:26 pm

I LOVE all the social media posts!! I enjoy seeing all the beautiful little girls, sneaks and so much more!! Keep it coming!! ❤️❤️❤️

Jenn Hall - July 11, 2015 - 6:25 pm

You can never have too much MJ! Keep the posts coming!

Elisha Goosie - July 11, 2015 - 6:21 pm

I love to see stuff when you guys post stuff. Usually brightens my day. I love to the beautiful girls you guys feat it in your clothes. I live to see the work you do outside of MJC also. Sharing joy around the world and in the community is so special. It might be stalker of me but I have my setting to let me know when MJ posts something. Lol. Good Job girls. Love everything you do and of course would love to see more. ❤️

Adrienne Gresh - July 11, 2015 - 6:06 pm

we are all suckers for a good sneak peek to keep the excitement growing!!! I love to follow you on Facebook and Instagram to see what goes on behind the scenes as well as to get updates on all of the wonderful organizations you are involved with!

Lauren Rogers - July 11, 2015 - 5:58 pm

I absolutely love all of the social media posts! It’s an easy way to keep up with MJC happenings! I am absolutely in love with the women’s line! I just can’t get enough in my closet! It is all so beautiful hanging in there too! LOVE LOVE LOVE MJC!

Lauren Rogers - July 11, 2015 - 5:56 pm

I absolutely love all of the social media posts! It’s an easy way to keep up with MJC happenings! I have fallen in love with the MJC women’s line! I love the children’s too, but don’t have any little ones of my own yet to buy for! Will definitely when that time comes! LOVE LOVE LOVE MJC!!!

Jamie Morris - July 11, 2015 - 5:48 pm

Love having a little inside access to new MJ through social media. We get so excited to see a sneak of new fabrics and ideas! My dd loves to make memories in her MJ! Can’t wait for the next platinum release and super excited about Friends Forever!!

Nancy - July 11, 2015 - 5:48 pm

I have absolutely loved seeing the wonderful pictures of the vibrant patterns on social media! I have fallen in love with this clothing line for myself and also my toddler. I love the tween line wish that had been around when my oldest was a tween, she’s 16 now.

Michelle M - July 11, 2015 - 5:08 pm

I fell in love with MJ when my daughter was born in 2012 & have literally joined Instagram & Facebook only to keep up with your amazing company! Obsessed much?!?! I love the posts, sneaks, and outfit ideas…thanks for all you do! xo

Laurabeth Barnett - July 11, 2015 - 4:46 pm

Social media definitely keeps me in the loop & I love seeing sneak peeks there (so keep those coming ). It also makes it easy to share with friends & family to see what all the fuss is about. I would definitely love even more sneaks/contests/polls take down about ideas for pieces via Instagram. Even having pieces that are “designed by you” where we could choose between choices of fabrics & vote would be lots of fun & would give a different type of sneak peek into what is on the way

Jenn Terry - July 11, 2015 - 4:36 pm

I love following along with the blog and the fb page and Instagram are fun. My little girl loves to wear her MJ all the time and I would love to see more real girls pics featured. I loved the change the face of beauty campaign and would love to see more like it.

Erica Tate - July 11, 2015 - 4:29 pm

I love All the photos and updates. I’ve only just tuned into the blog, but I’ve followed you on Facebook for for a while now. I discovered MJC during the end of Good Hart and I’ve been a fan since 🙂

Jill - July 11, 2015 - 4:22 pm

I love all the social media posts. My favorites are when you post fabrics and the drawings you create with your designs. I love the sneak peaks too…but that just usually makes me spend more o release day!

Lindsey - July 11, 2015 - 3:45 pm

Love the social media posts!! Keeps me in the loop with MJC! Instagram is my favorite. I also like the “hints” for Platinum so I can keep an eye on the site!!

Nicole - July 11, 2015 - 3:02 pm

We love all things Matilda Jane and would love to see MORE posts to social media. I think outfit of the day would be fun! Have parents send in their little ones in current MJ or even mix and match with old lines! Maybe even a monthly idea for back to school, thanksgiving, Valentine’s, etc.

Laura Wagener - July 11, 2015 - 2:42 pm

I think you have a great amount of social media presence. I am not bombarded with posts all day long, but I love that MJC feels like a community, and things like the blog posts help with that. Excited to see Fall sneaks!

Dawn Hudson - July 11, 2015 - 2:41 pm

I love all the social media you do. Though I think most of us love all the behind the scenes pictures. We love to invision what it would be like to actually be a part of MJ…..because let’s face it we can live vicariously through all the photos. I also think it would be awesome to take your next line on the road. Do a casting call in a few cities of real MJ girls wearing your new line, girls that have grown up wearing MJ. Bailey has been wearing MJ since she was an infant. Since she was born in October her first full release was Serendipity. We have been a part of every release since then. Find girls like Bailey that literally wear it every day, their friends and siblings. Those are the girls that I want to see modeling Matilda Jane the girls that I have watched grow up on Facebook and Instagram. The “Real Girls” of MJ!!!!

Missy Jungling - July 11, 2015 - 2:28 pm

I get so excited with the anticipation of a new release! I love to see blog posts…I feel like I get a glimpse inside the creative minds of employees….and helps me FEEL more connected to the “family”. One of the qualities of Denise, that hooked me right in to MJC, was her everyday thoughts and feelings she shared through blogs. An extraordinary wife, mom, designer with a big heart and willing to share her fleeting thoughts with us ordinary followers! Keep blogging!

JaneAnne Moss - July 11, 2015 - 2:19 pm

I read Facebook the most. I would love a few more post and sneak peaks. Usually I see a sneak from others before you all send it out. My family loves MJ and all you do for others. Thanks for all your positivity to others.

Kaitlin Petersen - July 11, 2015 - 2:18 pm

It was really exciting to see my TK’s daughter on Instagram. I love it when you guys repost pics of our kiddos. It is like they are famous for a day! ; )

Allison - July 11, 2015 - 2:18 pm

My daughter is 17 months old & she’s been wearing MJ for about 7 months now. I’m just discovering all the different social media Matilda Jane posts. Love it all! I can’t get enough of the entire company. The clothes are so fabulous and all the good vibes that the company sends out through all the good you do through so many different outlets is amazing! Thank you for being such a conscious company! ❤️❤️❤️

Jessamyn Neely - July 11, 2015 - 2:11 pm

I love all the social media posts! I use Instagram and Facebook the most. I’d love to see more pictures of the design process and sneaks of fabrics and colors ahead of time. I also think more contests showing our combos would be fun! I always love seeing how everyone mixes and matches different collections or even from the same collection! It’s fun to see them styled differently and be inspired with new ideas!

Jennifer Kennedy - July 11, 2015 - 1:59 pm

I love your Facebook posts, especially when you ask us to share pictures of our daughters in MJC or our input on designs, etc! It feels like we are all part of a special, welcoming and lovely family.

Chrissy Dool - July 11, 2015 - 1:55 pm

I love all the different social media outlets you use. Facebook is how I eventually found MJ after admiring some little girls wearing your outfits at my daughters school. I of course love the contest like everyone else. Facebook is putting so many restrictions on what post I actually see, so I love that I can jump on Instagram and see updates to MJ even if I missed it on Facebook! We love our MJ!

Jamie Stuart - July 11, 2015 - 1:20 pm

Love all the social media interactions. It’s the only way to stay connected. And it gives us new ideas on how to style the clothes.

courtney chafin - July 11, 2015 - 1:12 pm

I absolutely love all the social media, as a new buyer of Matilda Jane, thats what sucked me in! Im now in love with MJC and everything its about! Keep doing the things your doing!

Kristina Ray - July 11, 2015 - 1:06 pm

I love that you use different forms of social media and think that you are doing the right amount! Love the contests and of course everyone always wants more sneaks! I always love being able to look and find combo ideas when I am drawing a blank! Thanks for all that you do!

Sarah Lynn - July 11, 2015 - 1:05 pm

I love seeing how others have styled their MJC and the different combos people come up with! Sometimes you feature those photos on Facebook or the Blog…I would love to see more of that!!!

Melissa - July 11, 2015 - 1:02 pm

I would like to see more posts on Instagram. It gave this mama a little thrill when a pic of my girls on Facebook was used (with permission) on the MJC FB page and blog. 🙂

Jennifer - July 11, 2015 - 12:54 pm

Sorry, I am mobile in the mountains and it’s unpredictable! I love when you tell us about the inspiration behind the designs. I love all the pretty details about MJ.

Jennifer - July 11, 2015 - 12:52 pm

I love your Facebook posts and the blog. Keep it detailed and personal. Surprises are great, little contests are so fun, love name the dress and the little room key like tags that were included with orders once. I love when you preview. Release telling

Carrie Thomas - July 11, 2015 - 12:50 pm

I started buying Matilda Jane for my daughter about 3 years ago,
and every day I would head to your facebook page for inspiration and ideas on how to pair different dresses with different ruffle pants. MJ used to post tons of photos, they were usually a collage of three different client photos, not models, just everyday clients and the outfits they chose for their daughters. I used to get a lot of ideas, and spent a lot of money trying to copy what I saw. It also gave me inspiration for my daughter’s photo shoots. I would like to see more collages of photos, I think a lot of moms would like to see you post photos of their daughters wearing their Matilda Jane outfits. Also I would like to see more flutter style tops and dresses like the Birdi dress, in tween sizes, I think they are more flattering. Lately I’ve been purchasing only the ruffle pants, and having my mom sew my daughter look-a-like flutter style tops, because your tops and dresses only go to a size 8-10. Lastly, I want to thank you for helping me keep my little girl “little” what a blessing your clothing line has been!

Amber k - July 11, 2015 - 12:49 pm

I love staying updated on social media I’m not on Facebook but I do look at the blog I wish it could be updated more currently like the last post was July 1! For those of us addicted to mj we want more!!! I also love seeing how the designers would piece together outfits

Amy - July 11, 2015 - 12:30 pm

Definitely more sneaks! I think it gets everyone so excited. I love the flipagrams on Instagram and FB. I also think it would be great to feature more girls wearing MJ in real life I love what you ladies do!

Lisa Lynch - July 11, 2015 - 12:28 pm

I love the blog posts and how you recognize your customers by commenting on pictures of our children. Of course, the contests and things like name the dress are great ways to get interaction from your customers. I can tell you personally, once Denise commented from her personal page on how spunky my daughter looked in her MJ and cowgirl boots….that made my week!
Keep up the good work!

Maria - July 11, 2015 - 12:25 pm

I absolutely love all the posts. It is definitely the right amount. I would love to see more pictures with ideas on which pieces to pair together as I am totally clueless when it comes to being creative. I truly do enjoy the behind the scenes pictures. They make you more “real”

mona - July 11, 2015 - 12:17 pm

I’m not much into social media, but your company really makes me want to be more! The thing I love the most is that you take time to personally comment on photos and make people feel special, just like the clothing makes us and our girls feel when we wear it.

Beth Jacobs - July 11, 2015 - 12:16 pm

Love your use of social media. Would love to see more outfit combos and definitely more sneaks!! Maybe a 5 min warning for plat loads every once in a while? Great job ladies! 🙂

Patricia Buckaloo - July 11, 2015 - 12:07 pm

I feel in love with the clothes about 3 yrs ago but as time went on I feel in love with the company. Actually didn’t take me long. I love the fact MJ listens to their customers and the fact that customers have an input. They make gorgeous fun loving pretties that the moms love and are little dolls love wearing. The updates on social media is great. It keeps us all connect as a family. Through social media I meet some of the most amazing woman that one have 2 major things in common, the love of r precious Angels and the love of MJ!!! The blogs are my favorite reading about someone’s thoughts, feeling and seeing the creativity come to life. Keep it up!! Yall are all so amazing. God Bless

Nicole Favorito - July 11, 2015 - 12:02 pm

one of my favorite things about MJ is the anticipation of the new lines! A few more sneeks would be awesome! I also love the blog posts about what inspired the lines. MJ is so much more than just pretty clothes!!

Heather - July 11, 2015 - 12:01 pm

I absolutely adore Matilda Janes

Carrie D. - July 11, 2015 - 12:00 pm

I have become more confident in my mixing and matching because of MJ! I love how past pieces coordinate with current collections. It would be great to see more outfit combos and inspiration posted online. I would also love to see more “real” people in MJ, in all shapes and sizes. I have two girls with two very different body types, and I don’t always feel they are both reflected in the images you present. I was impressed by your participation in the Changing the Face of Beauty campaign, and would love to see you take that a step further. Positive body image is so important.
Thank you for this opportunity to share. I love how open you are, with your own lives and to feedback. Beyond social media campaigns and adorable clothes, it is the heart of MJ which endears you to the community, and that is what sets you apart.

Angela - July 11, 2015 - 12:00 pm

I love all the use of social media but it can be hard to keep up. Also, what would be very useful is on release days to have a feed on instagram photos of the products as styled by the trunk keepers. The more combinations the better.

Laura G - July 11, 2015 - 11:54 am

I think you post the right amount and we love following along on FB, Instagram, blog etc. we love wearing MJ for family photos so I would love to see post about styling an outfit and suggestions (color combinations) on what the family should wear.

Lisa Sheehan - July 11, 2015 - 11:49 am

Love social media! Love being able to see all the little girls in their pretty Mj! And I always love a contest!!! Nothing better than seeing a bunch of cuties in Matilda jane

Michelle - July 11, 2015 - 11:46 am

I love that you are on social media! It keeps me updated on releases, sales & of course I love the sneaks! It also helps me with outfit combinations! Mommy & Daughter LOVE our Matilda Jane! We are the only ones in our small town who wear it, would love to see more out this way!!

Katie - July 11, 2015 - 11:42 am

I’d love more posts showing different combinations of pieces, including accessories and posts showing how to transition pieces from one season to the next (so, show how the Pretty Pattern Sara can be worn while it’s still cooler as it was when it was released and can transition to summer).

Ashley York - July 11, 2015 - 11:41 am

There is no such thing as “too much” Matilda Jane! My kids are small so I don’t have a lot of extra time for hobbies….so I consider dressing my kids as my hobby! I love seeing pictures of outfits posted, especially different combos of pieces that work well together. Thanks for making clothes that both me and my daughter love!!!

Jules - July 11, 2015 - 11:40 am

I think your social media is great with just the right amount of posts. What I’d like to see is you share on Instagram a real life customer that loves and buys your clothes when they hashtag or tag your outfits on Instagram that’s not one of your real models for hire. Lots of little girls modeling your clothes and it would make more of a real connection with your buyers. I like it when other designers take them time out to “like” or comment on our pictures or even share. For example, joyfolie shoes as big as they’ve gotten always leaves sweet comments and acknowledges that we often wear their shoes by “liking” our pics. Lots of little girls out there promote MJC because they sincerely love it and want to spread mj love and have true connections with other moms and their kids through their love of MJ. Why not take the time connect with your customers this way? Many true MJ addicts spend so much on your clothes. Just a small token of appreciation I think!I remember Denise leaving a couple of comments on posts in the past. It was really sweet. May she rest in peace. Thanks so much for listening and look forward to the fall!

Augusta - July 11, 2015 - 11:39 am

I think the social media outlets are great for keeping us up to date. It’s the way the world works these days!

Ashley - July 11, 2015 - 11:39 am

Keep up the good work–would love to see more on Instagram!! Hoping that all the fabulous spread the love campaigns that Denise began will still continue–just love to see the passion the company grew behind of giving hope and smiles

Stephanie G - July 11, 2015 - 11:31 am

Maybe since it’s about friends forever do sneaks about friendship or even nice tributes to Denise would be nice! Maybe send some new release items to customers randomly and have them post pictures with a hashtag #friendsforever. Sorry I had to post 4 times, I guess my 33 year old self can’t figure out how not to hit post accidentally each time!

Nina - July 11, 2015 - 11:31 am

Love everything!!..love how Matilda Jane makes my daughter feel..some so comfy she wants to sleep in it and others make her twirl until she is dizzy…it is the sweet innocence that I love the most ..thank you for keeping my little one, little!!

Whitney Goodson - July 11, 2015 - 11:28 am

You’ve got it just right where social media is concerned. I love following your Instagram, I never miss a sale and I like that you’ve dropped hints about platinum loads. Perfection! ❤️

Andrea Sharpe - July 11, 2015 - 11:26 am

Facebook and Instagram are my favorite ways to connect with MJC! I follow your Instagram and love the fun way you post sneaks there! Keep the sneaks coming! I love that my tK can connect with us on fb with a personal page Too! I think the blog is awesome a such a personal touch! I’m fairly new to MJC, buying for the first time spring 2014; I was able to read back through the blog and really see the who MJC is! I think the giveaways on Pinterest pushed people to jump on and pin. I loved it and pinned several old styles! It’s fun to keep of log of ‘looks’!

Amanda F - July 11, 2015 - 11:26 am

I think you are doing a great job with social media! My girls are getting older so we love the new 435 line too!! Just got back from vacation where 95% of all 3 girls wardrobe we took was MJ!!

Stephanie G - July 11, 2015 - 11:25 am

Maybe because I am on my phone, but am I getting punked? Ok, in all seriousness I love all things Matilda Jane! Maybe do some sneaks for the new line since its about forever friends

Stephanie G - July 11, 2015 - 11:23 am

Hello, it’s me again! The post decided to post before I was done sorry! I am loving the sneaks of the promo release backpack! I think it’s great you’re doing a promo for the first release! I can’t ever remember you doing a promo on the first release! I have been buying from Mjc for 4 years and

Stephanie G - July 11, 2015 - 11:19 am

I follow you on Instagram and Facebook! oil have always loved sneaks! With hello lovely I felt there were a bit more, which I liked! I am always anxious to see colors and patterns you are using in the lines. I liked the puzzle idea on Instagram! I think it was a fun way to release a sneak or promo! I am loving the release of the backpack

Nicole - July 11, 2015 - 11:15 am

i love all the post of what’s new what is the hashtag for Instagram for MJC that we can tag all of our cuties with? I would love o share all my cute Pictures with you. We love MJC keep us informed and send me anythig you want! We could model that backpack for you!

Kaitlin Hilger - July 11, 2015 - 11:13 am

I love how you guys keep up on social media! I really enjoy logging into Facebook and seeing my Matilda Jane Clothing notifications. I also love the plat sneaks on Instagram. I am a huge fan of “name the dress” and hope to be creative enough someday to win it! Keep up the good work!! <3

Meg M. - July 11, 2015 - 11:09 am

The great state of Virginia has been behind the curve in getting into MJ clothing. But, since my introduction this spring, I’ve become addicted to checking the Facebook page, and the 3 sale locations – the regular page, the platinum page and the good luck trunk. I haven’t joined the Instagram, Twitter and SnapChat bandwagons so I feel like I miss out on some info/announcements…maybe you could put corresponding posts on all of those media platforms. All I know is that if I have to join Instagram to find out more about MJ, I guess I’ll figure out how it works. Love Matilda Jane!

Sara - July 11, 2015 - 11:08 am

I only use Facebook and love to see all that you post! My favorite is name the dress, and reading the blogs 🙂

Mary Nichols - July 11, 2015 - 11:06 am

I love it! I feel that you post just enough.

Christy hantzis - July 11, 2015 - 11:04 am

I love all the social media posts! And the giveaway posts keep it fun and spontaneous and give everyone an equal shot at winning

Nicole M - July 11, 2015 - 11:02 am

I think it’s just right! I love the behind the scenes posts. One thing I love about MJC is feeling like I’m part of a great big family. I’ve met some amazing women through MJC social media and all the little “insight” posts connect us

Stephanie - July 11, 2015 - 11:00 am

I would love to see more on Facebook. I dont use twitter or other social media platforms. I am in love with MJC products and love any chance to see and interact with yall! ♡

Amy Huggins - July 11, 2015 - 11:00 am

Keep doing what you’re doing! It’s magical!

Laurie S - July 11, 2015 - 10:57 am

love the IG platform and the FB updates! I like the puzzle pieces on IG. Perhaps a game where people can guess the outfit as each piece is revealed and win it? If more than 1 correct answer, a random draw of the correct guesses.
P.s.- need more sneaks from the new line!!

Rachel Lacap - July 11, 2015 - 10:55 am

We are new to MJ! Just started buying this time last year, but it’s my two little girls’ favorites! I get so much of my news from Facebook and Instagram that I appreciate the quick updates I get when scrolling through my newsfeed. I also looove the preview days for the new releases. It gives the indecisive side of me time to make decisions!

Sarah - July 11, 2015 - 10:54 am

I only use fb and the blog. I love the blog. It’s so fun!

Denise January - July 11, 2015 - 10:51 am

Social media js a great tool for me to find out about releases and see outfit ideas. My trunk keeper is very kind but can be hard to get ahold of… I can’t rely on her to give me advance notice, etc. I would really like to see more outfit ideas for mixing & matching pieces.

Robyn Morgan - July 11, 2015 - 10:49 am

I love seeing MJC on my Facebook and Instagram! But what I love more is being surprised. I might be going against the grain here but I’d love to see more about what goes on “behind the seams” but less sneak peeks. I want to be surprised and have a reaction that is mine, instead of hearing and seeing what others have to say before it’s released or “loaded.”

Shannon King - July 11, 2015 - 10:48 am

I would love to see more sneaks as the new lines get ready to release on facebook.

Joann e - July 11, 2015 - 10:48 am

I think it’s just the right amount on fb , twitter , and Pinterest. I would love to see more on the blog. I enjoyed reading the blog every few days to see what was going on in the mj world. Keep up the beautiful work!!!

Meghan wise - July 11, 2015 - 10:47 am

I think you guys do a fair amount of social media. Love it! But wouldn’t mind seeing a bit more. Even some more customer involvement

Stacie Petta - July 11, 2015 - 10:47 am

I love the interacting on Pinterest! It’s fun and easy to use! I’m not active on Instagram so I find that harder.

Katy - July 11, 2015 - 10:47 am

I love the social media posts, but I watch out for the blogs. I love mjc for the personal connection with designers it has always put out <3

Cynthia - July 11, 2015 - 10:45 am

I think MJ does a good job getting customers excited about releases on all the social media sites. I would love to see more sneaks because it seems to get people more excited about an upcoming line.

Chrissy - July 11, 2015 - 10:40 am

My favorite social media outlets have always been Facebook and the blog. Sometimes it’s fun to receive different updates from different sources, but other times, it’s a lot to try and keep up with.

I know many of us miss the more frequent, personal (sometimes rambling, but always endearing) blog posts from Denise and Sam. BUT – after seeing the attacks made on ya’ll during the release of Hello Lovely, I wouldn’t blame you if everyone decided to work in complete anonymity from here on out. Maybe the blog has run its course?

The challenges of running a large company trying to feel like a small one are quite complex (which is silly to even say to you, because you are living this reality every day!). I think Instagram/Facebook are your best new strategies, since they allow you to harness the “strength in numbers” of a larger community.

(What was that I said earlier about rambling??) 🙂

Lena Clements - July 11, 2015 - 10:36 am

I love seeing everything that goes on at home office from Facebook. I live in a small town so it’s a treat for me to go to a Trunk Show. Thank you for keeping my daughter and me always looking our best.

Joann - July 11, 2015 - 10:33 am

Keep the creative inspiration coming!

Lindsey - July 11, 2015 - 10:31 am

i love reading the blog posts but as a mom of 4 under 6 I rarely have a minute in my day and often only get to Facebook at the end of the night- posts gets hidden. I wish you could offer an email option for the blog postings or even send a weekly digest of Instagram posts.

Tina - July 11, 2015 - 10:29 am

I love seeing the sneaks on social media! And the contests and posts to let us know what’s going on! Thanks so much!

Chrystal Patrick - July 11, 2015 - 10:27 am

I love it! I think it keeps everyone informed & excited We ❤️ MJC!

Brandi - July 11, 2015 - 10:27 am

I love all of your posts and especially outfits of the day!! Maybe have some people send in for a week what their favorite new/old line combos are and then post your guys favorites on social media! It’s fun to see what others can come up with!! We love seeing all the MJ posts

Cheri - July 11, 2015 - 10:25 am

I love seeing your social media posts. Blog updates are always fun (especially name the dress!) And of course we all LOVE sneak previews of new releases. 🙂 Keep it up!!!

Leah Pendley - July 11, 2015 - 10:24 am

I love all the previews and sneaks on Instagram! The puzzle sneak from HL was so cute! I think posting IRL’s of our cute little ones would make any moms day! Maybe a weekly or monthly “who wore this outfit or combo?” Would get tons of participation! As a MJ mom, I love actually seeing the clothes on kids, not just hanging in a closet! #itsnotjustclothes

Dorothy Robak-Iacch - July 11, 2015 - 10:23 am

Happy to be giving birth in the next few weeks to my first girl, so that I can finally have a solid reason to continue buying MATILDA Jane!

Laurel Plunkett - July 11, 2015 - 10:21 am

I follow on Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook and I think the usage is just right. I am always looking and checking for updates or new sneak peaks, and it still has some sort of surprise factor since it’s not happening all the time!

Michelle Lamothe - July 11, 2015 - 10:20 am

So excited for the new line! Survey us on Facebook to get more feedback on all our must haves!

Ana Fisher - July 11, 2015 - 10:18 am

I love to hear updates!

Kory Fields - July 11, 2015 - 10:16 am

I think you all do a fabulous job showcasing your products through social media! Your posts whether on fb, Instagram, or here on the blog always stir a flurry of excitement as they are shared and shown to others. I love the suspense of it all! I think it is truly part of what makes you all “an unpredictable clothing company” and keeps everyone wanting more! Can’t wait to see the Friends Forever collection debut this fall!

Ashley Hamrick - July 11, 2015 - 10:15 am

I would really love it if you would bring back the VIMEO video sneaks! It was so fun to see everyone & try to spot new pieces they were wearing!

Wendy - July 11, 2015 - 10:10 am

I love when you share customer photos! I like seeing how other moms are using MJ in their special photo shoots of their kids.

Stephanie - July 11, 2015 - 10:08 am

I joined Facebook a few years ago just to get involved in the Matilda Jane world. Yours was the very first page I “liked.” I love hearing about behind the scenes stuff, what goes into the line, the people who make Matilda Jane, and of course sneaks and styling. It makes me feel more involved and attached to the brand. 🙂

Ginger James - July 11, 2015 - 10:07 am

Keep up with the sneaks! Love seeing what’s coming!

Kayla - July 11, 2015 - 10:03 am

I love all of the social media pages! Between outfit combo ideas, platinum sneaks, little bits of encouragement, the blog, EVERYTHING. It not only keeps us informed about what to expect from the company, it makes the company more personable because we feel like we are part of it, a little share in the magic 🙂 I especially love plat sneaks because it reminds us WHERE our clothes are being made and WHO is making them. So fun to be a part of each step of production. But I agree, more fall sneaks!
PS. We love the name of the upcoming collection!

Heather Capps - July 11, 2015 - 10:00 am

I think that your social media outreach is just right! I’m not flooded with seeing MJC constantly, I do see it often though (which I love!!). I love your Instagram posts! We could definitely use a few Fall preview photos right now though!!

Tom - July 11, 2015 - 10:00 am

I’m going out on a limb here as a man posting this, but I chose to follow MJ for my wife (as a teacher, she refuses to do social media), who has become obsessed with your clothes. I love getting the updates because when I tell my wife, she looks like she loves me even more! So, keep up the posts on your various platforms. Our daughter’s closet is packed with MJ, but now that you have a boy’s line, we’d love to see more about that for our son. She’d love to see more for women posted, too, I’m sure!

Ashley Neece - July 11, 2015 - 9:59 am

I love the MJ line. The interaction on Facebook is great! I am however new to MJ line. I would love to know when Platinum is going to launch. I have yet to get to be a part of one and I’m dying for a chance. Can you maybe announce on Facebook when a launch is coming? Or let me know where I need to stalk in order to find out please!!!!!

Kelly C. - July 11, 2015 - 9:57 am

My girls (8 and 6) and I love to see sneak peeks (or anything else Matilda Jane) pop up on Facebook. You can never have too many sneaks! We have been in love with the clothes since I discovered MJ nearly 4 years ago. We’re so excited for the fall line!

Nicole Herbst - July 11, 2015 - 9:55 am

Just recently discovered your line- I’m in love with the fabric- do you ever sell old material?? I wish I could quilt with it lol

Becky - July 11, 2015 - 9:54 am

The MJC FB pg is my first look everyday. I love to see what the Company has posted, as well as what sweet pics other moms have posted. We are definitely at an age where social media is the norm for advertising and sharing info. I say embrace it and look for ways to be an encourager in this heavily technology era through your posts.

Kristen Martin - July 11, 2015 - 9:51 am

I love seeing posts from MJC pop up in my Facebook news feed & on Instagram! We especially love the Platinum sneaks but would love to see a few more from the upcoming Fall line! Can’t wait!

Teresa P - July 11, 2015 - 9:48 am

i love the idea of using social media for sneak peeks, contests, irl pics. etc. MJ rocks!!

Sarah - July 11, 2015 - 9:48 am

i love how you use social media to become accessible to your customers. You respond back to comments! I love when you repost customer photos.

Kris - July 11, 2015 - 9:48 am

I don’t think you can post too much! For instance, I don’t use instagram as much as I use FB or Pinterest, so it’s a good idea to post on all platforms. I am looking forward to sneaks and the fall line! Keep up the good work MJC!

Kerri - July 11, 2015 - 9:47 am

I love the Instagram posts and personally would love to see more! My favorites are the behind the scene posts previewing the platinum maps new fabrics coming. I also love the positivity that you exude in each of your posts. I would love to see more posts about the mighty acorn foundation, outfit combinations and of course contests to win your beautiful pieces. We love Matilda Jane and love sharing it with all our friends that have girls but now that I have a little boy as well more posts about the boys line The Good Ones would be awesome as well!!!

Katie Jo Mckenna - July 11, 2015 - 9:47 am

I think the social media is great. I would love to see more sneaks a few weeks prior to releases. I LOVED when you did the Instagram sneak puzzle game! Where you loaded a picture of the puzzle every few hours! It was so fun and kept everyone guessing 🙂 I can’t wait to see all of the beauties you have in store for us this Fall ❤️

Elaine Armstrong - July 11, 2015 - 9:47 am

I personally only use facebook and read the blog. 🙂

April Nix - July 11, 2015 - 9:46 am

I love the updates and excitement building that you already do on social media! The only thing I would suggest is doing is maybe getting public opinion on things from time to time. Like for instance you could ask “would moms/daughters prefer these tops like this? Or that? Or do you prefer sizing tts or roomy on these ruffles? Etc. maybe a little public opinion will make moms feel more invested in pieces that we helped to create 🙂 I’m still new to all this after 3 boys and we are still building our collection but it has been a bonding experience for my daughter and I and we love it! So keep up the much appreciated good work that you all do

Amy Hanshew - July 11, 2015 - 9:46 am

I really like Instagram. I see every one of your posts, but with Facebook, I only see a handful because of the way FB works.

Heather I. - July 11, 2015 - 9:45 am

Love all the posts, I think you are doing a great job!! Love seeing how MJ gives back in so many ways, makes me love your clothing even more!! Love all your clothes, and the 435 line is amazing!!

Natalie Johnson - July 11, 2015 - 9:42 am

I love all the social media posts! I like seeing “in real life” pics of the line. Makes me happy to see my feed filled every day with beautiful colors & patterns of MJC!

Jessica H - July 11, 2015 - 9:42 am

I love seeing your social media posts, and who doesn’t love a giveaway?! I’d love to see more outfit combination ideas and less announcements about plat loads. 🙂 My girls love the “name the dress” posts so it would be exciting to see those more regularly as well. Keep up the excellent work! We love MJC!!

Hollie - July 11, 2015 - 9:41 am

I love to see MJC pop up when I look on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest! I love the outfit ideas, sneaks and the charities and causes you support and work with. I also love seeing you repost customer “real life” pictures of outfits for inspiration. I would love to see more outfit ideas from the women’s line. Thanks for all you do!

Whitney - July 11, 2015 - 9:41 am

I am grateful for the MJ Facebook page to keep me informed and I like reading the blog. I don’t have Instagram but may have to get it just to look at MJ pictures!

Jill - July 11, 2015 - 9:41 am

Instagram is my favorite MJ social media account! I love platinum sneaks, but am not a fan of announced loads. It takes the element of surprise out of it for me. (ps….I’m really hoping for a new lulu next spring/summer!!). ❤️

Mary Gabbard - July 11, 2015 - 9:40 am

Love your social media! I sometime wish there were more feeds about how to style some of the clothing. It also would be awesome to see some of the MJC employees talking about their beautiful designs and what inspires them to come up with these fun-loving designs. Keep posting and inspiring us! The passion and love you have is an inspiration for all.

Michelle - July 11, 2015 - 9:40 am

I think the amount of Matilda Jane that shows up in my feed is just right. The posts feel genuine and personal not like advertisements. I love to see the beautiful photos and sneak peeks and I always click through to read the new blog posts.

Lesley L - July 11, 2015 - 9:40 am

The more the merrier.. We love random thoughts, the good, the bad and the ugly about MJC! We are all human and love to see what is going on with MJC.. Keep it all coming..:)

Janelle - July 11, 2015 - 9:39 am

I love all of the social media! I would love to see more outfit combo ideas both old and new line. Real life pictures from your customers would be awesome! Maybe they thought of cute combos you didn’t anticipate!

Jenna - July 11, 2015 - 9:38 am

I love seeing matilda jane pop up in my news feed and on my IG. I would love to see more sneaks for the upcoming releases. Sneaks are what make people get excited for the upcoming releases. As a Jane, I am able to pull people in when they see the cute sneaks and keep my existing customers excited. Thanks for all you do!!

Darby N - July 11, 2015 - 9:37 am

Social media is a great way to get info out and reach a lot of fans. I look forward to sneak peeks of the upcoming releases and the behind the scenes posts. (Hint…hint…fall sneaks?!?) however, i think we could do without advertising when Plat will load. Keep it unpredictable! And keep my little girl twirling!

Janelle - July 11, 2015 - 9:37 am

(Ahhhh-got cut off! There is negative to all this technology at times too! haha!) anyway, the company seems more accessible & customer-driven when they use social media. We appreciate what MJC stands for & if it’s helping to bridge the company/customer gap then we are all for it!!

Kristi - July 11, 2015 - 9:37 am

I just made a purchase because of a recent Facebook post! I hadn’t made one in a very long time. I would love to see more outfit inspiration photos! I’m heading to Pinterest now to follow you!

Leigh Ann Morgan - July 11, 2015 - 9:35 am

I love MJC social media, and look forward to seeing your daily posts! I love seeing what’s next in platinum, cute outfit combos, and sweet pics of little ones wearing their MJ. ❤

Evelyn Grove - July 11, 2015 - 9:35 am

I recently discovered MJ and have made already made a few purchases. I love social media. I would like to see a few previews of the upcoming collection before it goes live.

Wendy J - July 11, 2015 - 9:34 am

I love seeing pictures of your clothes on all the social media platforms. I especially love seeing them modeled on girls. More posts would be great!

Janelle - July 11, 2015 - 9:34 am

I am loving IG posts! The sneaks of fabrics & designs feels like an added indulgence! A perk of social media is how it breaks barriers between company & customer. We can feel more “in the loop” glimpsing behind-the-scenes & you van seem

ANGIE - July 11, 2015 - 9:32 am

Would LOVE to see more posts asking for opinions and advice about the designs.. like the recent platinum post asking what type of item to make with the adorable cat fabric.. maybe a sneak of a fabric for an upcoming line that is currently being designed and asking opinions on what yo do with it? Would definitely build up to excitement for future lines!! 🙂 and we would all love more sneaks!

Katelyn - July 11, 2015 - 9:32 am

I don’t have any social media besides Facebook, but I have followed the blog for some time. I love the blog because it seems unedited and real…and isn’t that what all MJ girls are? I love to see how MJ helps give back with the organizations they are involved in, so I would love to see and learn more about that aspect behind the seams.❤️ I also loved the 435 photo contest. You can see the “real-ness” in that picture. No editing. Just beautiful people in beautiful clothes, feeling beautiful!

Allison - July 11, 2015 - 9:32 am

I think there is currently a great mix of posts on various social media. I do prefer Instagram since it is quick and doesn’t get missed like it can on FB. I would love more sneaks of new releases!

Laura - July 11, 2015 - 9:30 am

I am always excited for sneaks on FB, Instagram, and the blog. It is also nice to see photos from Brown Town. Name That Dress is always fun on the blog, and I enjoy reading about the inspiration behind the designs there as well. The 435 photo love contest wasn’t that exciting to me, because I have neither a child old enough for the line nor the photography skill to have a chance of winning.
Can’t wait to see what’s coming for fall! More sneaks please!

Kristy - July 11, 2015 - 9:29 am

I love the Instagram account. The sneaks and outfit parings are so great to get ready for releases! Keeps me on the lookout for coordinating pieces as I visit our favorite stores.

Michelle Sweetser - July 11, 2015 - 9:29 am

I love seeing MJC in my feed. It keeps me updated. I’m hoping there will be some cute holiday stuff for girls in a 14 as it seems that’s hard to find. My daughter is a true 10/12 and in MJC she mostly has to size to a 14, but she’s only 8. She’d love some of the knots with aprons, etc; but you only make them in small sizes. Thanks for valuing our input! We love our MJC.

Kimberly m - July 11, 2015 - 9:27 am

I love the posts on Instagram the BEST! I would love to see more posts. With a busy life with 3 girls, Instagram is the easiest for me to keep up:) I can’t wait until the fall release I love the bookbag!!!!

Kristin Z - July 11, 2015 - 9:27 am

I think your use of social media to reach an audience is very effective, but I would like to see it used more for positive changes. When an item previews and reviews on it aren’t what you expect, use that information for future releases, future design choices, etc. This online world could be used as such a great resource for this company, and I’d love to see Matilda Jane take advantage of it.

Blerina boci - July 11, 2015 - 9:26 am

I am a recent Matilda Jane fan so i love following you guys to see all the beautiful clothes for my little girl. So far i don’t think you post too much and everything is helpful in showcasing all your pretty designs.

Elizabeth Jones - July 11, 2015 - 9:25 am

I love the contests- name that dress, choose a style for a fabric, photo contests! I also love seeing popular MJ bst moms and their styling (BrownTown). And I was happy to see the sweet post about Denise. Thanks!

Lindsey - July 11, 2015 - 9:25 am

I love MJC and having three little girl to dress means my MJC gets a lot of use!! I love seeing Instagram posts and like the puzzles and sneak peaks. I’d also love to see more outfit suggestions and accessories! Love MJC!

Angie D. - July 11, 2015 - 9:23 am

I really love it when I see MJC in my news Feed. I think more sneak peeks would be great. Also love that you’re getting our opinions on ways to improve on ways to connect. I think it would be great if you would allow the customers to vote between the colors that certain items are released in and that way we feel like we are a little more part of the process:) well thanks for listening:) have a lovely day. ☀️

Erin A - July 11, 2015 - 9:23 am

Keep posting to Instagram! It’s a quick, easy way to make sure your customers are in the loop. FB and Pinterest are too unreliable and I don’t want to miss a thing! Please keep the sneaks coming. All your competitors are already available for pre-order so a gentle reminder Aug 3 is just a wee bit away keeps your loyal customers engaged and any frustrations at bay.

Jessica Barilla-Thorsen - July 11, 2015 - 9:22 am

I think MJ is doing a fantastic job with social media, it’s just the right amount. Too much can make the company feel needy and I feel you guys don’t do that. My favorite social media platform to follow MJC on is Instagram. I can’t wait to see more of what MJ has in store for us this fall!!!

Laura B. - July 11, 2015 - 9:22 am

I love that you have an instagram account. I don’t use facebook so I stay in the know through instagram. We love your clothes!! Keep ’em coming 🙂

steffanie - July 11, 2015 - 9:21 am

Love social media! It’s a great way for me to stay connected and know whats going on! I don’t follow Pinterest as much as I do Facebook and instagram. I love seeing the cute little sneaks you guys post too!

Natalie Mitchell - July 11, 2015 - 9:21 am

I would love to see more Instagram posts! I prefer Instagram over Facebook! And after all these years of being a MJ fan, I have never purchased Plat on the site. I don’t understand how to know when it loads, or perhaps it is all random…but I don’t check often enough. Oh, and I LOVE how you actually comment on the pictures posted by your fans on Facebook!

Jessica - July 11, 2015 - 9:19 am

I prefer an email message, text message or facebook post.

Rose - July 11, 2015 - 9:18 am

I don’t mean to be the downer on a positive blog post, but I think you’re relying heavily on too much social Media (clearly I am the minority). You use FB, IG, blogs, twitter and email. As a result, I scramble everywhere in order to make sure that I have kept up with the latest. With three kids, that’s hard to do sometimes. Also, I don’t like the platinum heads up. It takes the unpredictability out of it. It becomes less spontaneous and exciting and more planned and less fun. Sometimes doing things the “old way” is the better way. With that said, I love seeing your name on blogs and fb updates, Lucia ☺ <3

Ashley Denney - July 11, 2015 - 9:18 am

I like the amount of social media. I don’t have Instagram or Pinterest. I feel like there is a good amount of posts on Facebook, and I like that you respond to customers. I don’t always read the blog, but the Facebook page links to new posts, so that helps me remember to check it out.

Ashley Bartz - July 11, 2015 - 9:17 am

I love it. It would be fun to get accessory/shoes suggestions for outfits. There are lots of ways that MJC reaches out and listens to customers. That is a sign of a company who truly values their clients!

Jenny Hendricks - July 11, 2015 - 9:16 am

I love your use of the word seam instead of scene in the above blog! Again, showing off just how creative you are!
I really love the instagram, FB, and Pintrest posts.
It’s easy to “like” and ” share” on my pages so that people can see why i love dressing my daughter in MJC!
I would like to see more posts about the charities and children you support. Shopping for a purpose is a wonderful thing and I’d like to share more about that to my family and friends.
Thanks so much for all that y’all do!

Audrey M - July 11, 2015 - 9:15 am

I’ve only been really following MJC since around last fall, and I have fallen in love. Not only with the clothes for my little girl, but the mom clothes as well! My only request would be to see more mommy/daughter matching outfits. Until we have another baby, my girl needs somebody to match with (ME)! 🙂

Tara Henderson - July 11, 2015 - 9:15 am

Also reposting pics of little ones dressed in MJ would make any Moms day! Maybe have a special hashtag for MJ in real life.

Melissa - July 11, 2015 - 9:15 am

I think you do a great job with your social media accounts! I loved the “puzzle” sneak peak in hello lovely. So fun sneak peaks are always wanted and I love to see you share some more customer images.

Heather w - July 11, 2015 - 9:13 am

i love that social media gives me a way to stay up to date in the lives of family all over the country. I love sharing advice and opinions with friends. Most of all I love the HUGE community of fellow moms that share my love of kids’ fashion ! I’ve made lifelong friends through social media and all it offers. It may not be for everyone, but it’s definitely for me!!! I’m grateful for it.

Amy Geibel - July 11, 2015 - 9:13 am

I love seeing all your pretties pop up on my newsfeed on Facebook. Perfect amount or could be more ;-). So excited for August for the new collection and that awesome backpack 🙂

kamarlowete - July 11, 2015 - 9:13 am

There’s no such thing as too much MJC. Pinterest wardrobes boards rock socks, sneaks on IG and FB make my day, nut more than that, they will keep our beloved Denise with us in spirit. And, as my comment history shows, haha, I love me some blogging… Twitter, too, yes? Also, Tara, outstanding job!

Erika Fouch - July 11, 2015 - 9:13 am

Love social media! Perfect way to connect with people! Also love Instagram! ❤❤❤

Christine F. - July 11, 2015 - 9:13 am

Social media is a great way to get the word out there (FB, Instagram, Pinterest – love the FB and IG sneaks!) – but please keep up this blog – it’s a great way to read all about behind the scenes – like we are a part of what goes on there – it’s very special. Thanks for always including your customers input in your choices. Hugs during this tough time. <3

Tara Henderson - July 11, 2015 - 9:13 am

I follow you guys on social media and always look forward to your posts. I would say more sneaks of upcoming releases are always welcome 😉 and more pics of combo ideas would be good too! I am a little obsessed with MJC so the more posts the better 🙂 I’m so excited for Fall!

Jacqueline Probst - July 11, 2015 - 9:11 am

I love the platinum fabric sneak peeks – it makes me fall in love with items that I then must have! I also like the idea of a head’s up when platinum will load!

Onnalee fore - July 11, 2015 - 9:11 am

I love it. You post just enough. My favorites are outfit combination ideas. Thanks!!

Tressa - July 11, 2015 - 9:10 am

I love absolutely ALL of the photos. With all of the variety Us Mothers can get a “new” idea of what to match with if they haven’t done that combination yet. Such a great forum always to see what’s going on and what foundation yall are participating in and as well knowing a company I trust in and believe in supports such amazing foundations .

Ashley Williams - July 11, 2015 - 9:09 am

Great job on social media! The giveaways are such a fun addition. The only suggestion I have is maybe give us a couple more sneaks of fall release! We always LOVE those. 😉 lol

Lyndsey Kiebel - July 11, 2015 - 9:09 am

Sometimes social media can be a bad thing. However, Matilda Jane is always so upbeat and positive. My 3yr Dd seems to catch me on here and asks mommy are you looking at Tilda Jane again. She loves her MJ. Keep it up!:)

Jordan - July 11, 2015 - 9:08 am

The idea of platinum is so exciting, and I love the fact that it is locally made. It would be amazing if occasional loads were announced on Facebook!

Lindsay - July 11, 2015 - 9:07 am

I think the amount is just right. I personally love the behind the scenes posts. It’s fun too see that part of everyone involved in the line. I remember once there was a scavenger hunt the girls were doing and it was fun to “watch”. I’ll buy the clothes irregardless of the social media as I love them, but it does make me feel more attached when I feel as if I know a little something into the community creating them 🙂

Kristy Kilian - July 11, 2015 - 9:07 am

I love how you are reaching out through social media outlets. It gives me more opportunities to have an insight as to what goes on there! And the sneaks are great as well!

Carla Hurley - July 11, 2015 - 9:05 am

Love the Instagram page and would love to see more outfit ideas and cute combos along with sneaks!!!!

Samantha Nichole - July 11, 2015 - 9:05 am

I love all of the social media posts and that you take time to respond to your customers. The only thing I would change would be to add a few previews of the fall line ASAP! Lol
