Three things

1. I strongly encourage you all to get a bike this weekend. There is nothing better than a friend calling in the middle of the day to meet up and ride to the local ice cream shop. No kids, just you and a friend in the middel of the day. You’ll feel like you are 14. It is a must! You can thank me later.

2. Lots of big things happening. The fundraiser for Joe and Christy is this weekend. And for those of you who would like to call in an order we’ll take orders in the office tomorrow (Friday) ONLY. A lot of you have asked if it applies to all collections and yup, it sure does.

Also, be sure to get your Mom’s Day nominations in this weekend. Just send it over to Sam, samm@matildajaneclothing.com.

3. You can keep guessing away cuz no one has guessed it!!! Oh, but man,I love reading the comments much better than a novel any day!

And that’s about it. Joe has a baseball game today and I must say, he’s getting pretty decent.  He’s hitting the ball and actually catching. He plays catcher usually half the game. It’s so cool to watch how he is so blind to the idea that…can’t think of the word.  But he kneels down, never backs away from the ball or bat and just does a great job. He has totally mastered catching with his left hand, quickly taking off his glove to throw the ball back with his left hand. It’s pretty cool to watch. I always forget that many of you don’t know all the wonders of Joe, so here’s a link to my Brave One.  He’s pretty cool. OH, and he has finally mastered his bike. Okay, I am exaggerating a bit, but he’s, I’d say, 90% there and that to me is totally 110%.
Oh and even super cooler we saw Julie, his old OT, the other day on the way to his baseball game. I was telling her how I signed him up to get CMIT In Birmingham.. So excited about that..anyways she asked him what he would like to do that he can’t. His reply ” Give a handshake”.  Love it, and yes, he can shake hands but everyone goes for the right hand it  screws it up for him…

15 minutes later..WOW…I really need to take some pics of Joe. I don’t have  single  GREAT one…good one but not GREAT!! FYI he is not sad in this pics, just super bored. Most likely cuz we wouldn’t let him watch TV or play the Wii.

I am really looking forward to the newsletter release and the exciting new post you are talking about Denise. I just am going crazy trying to figure out what only 8 or 9 people know about. You would think if you were coming out with new clothing that more would know about it or even if you were expecting. Gosh, I can’t wait to find out. Little girl curtains would be adorable. I already said bathing suits. PJ’s would be cute too.

Love that Joe is coming to Birmingham. Magnificient doctors there. World reknown! Carson goes there for everything she has recieved since birth. UAB and Children’s Hospitals are top notch! Ok…here is my guess…you are re-creating the original ballerina in HB fabrics. That has been my one wish/hope since HB came out. There are some really beautiful prints to put in one! :)

Are you having a reduction of inventory to make room for new MJC? That is a new word… reduction! Anyway, we can all wish. RIGHT? I still think you are designing MJ breadbox’s! Maybe, you are just sending everyone a bulletin issued regularly to MJ addicts containing news and a calendar of upcoming events, etc. Not a newsletter, but a bulletin, The Matilda Jane Monthly! Oh, I forgot to tell you that I ride my husband’s bike when he is at work and my daughter is at school. It is the greatest feeling like being 14 or even younger. I really wish I thought about having a friend ride with me to the ice cream shop without kids! That’s a great idea… I really wish I knew what the surprise is but sadly I do not. I vote for an Art Fair for West Coast moms though.

Thanks for posting my little guy’s picture. He was so fascinated with his buggy his sister gave him. And then sure enough, it started to fly away. Joe has some big guts in there. That’s a tough thing to be a catcher and it’s awesome that he is already mastering it. My guess is you will be going organic. I don’t know it was fitting for Earth day.

Oh Denise, it made my day to get on your site tonight, and see Mimi’s girls washing dishes in their MJ aprons. What fun we have together in Mimi’s kitchen. My mother always made my sister and me aprons to match hers, that’s why I had to have these. Brought back a sweet memory for me.
