Announcing Spring 2015!

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful holiday season filled with family, friends, and lots of yummy food and wine! I know I did. But after all of the decadence of the holidays, I always welcome January. It’s a fresh start, a new beginning. Resolutions are in place, and although I love a good snow day, my mind is already starting to wander to spring. Well, if your mind is starting to wander, too, you’re in luck. In just a few short weeks we will be launching the Spring 2015 Collection, Hello, Lovely!

This is super exciting for me because it’s my first season with MJC. Remembering back to my first few weeks seems like so long ago. Even before that I can remember meeting with Denise and Sam. I came by Denise’s house on one of my first trips to Fort Wayne. She and Sam had just come back from Tokyo. Laid before them on the kitchen table were piles and piles of the most gorgeous buttons, ribbons, fabrics, and zippers. Yes, even the zippers were adorable! You’ll see our interpretation of these gems in the Hello, Lovely! collection. Along with these delicious little details, Hello, Lovely! is overflowing with florals in every color, size, and shape; and not just for girls. You’ll also see these details in women’s and, of course, our new tween line.

Tweens! We are so excited to offer a new collection just for sizes 8-14. The little ladies who have grown up with us will still be able to wear Matilda Jane with a new collection designed just for her. With all of the charm and personality of the original MJC collection, 435 has a decidedly more grown up feel. But not too grown…. girls should be girls, of course, no matter their age!

Just thinking of spring, I can feel the air getting a little bit warmer, and the trees turning a little greener, and see the flower buds begin to appear. Hello, Lovely! is kind of a beckoning to Mother Nature. Hello, Lovely! We’re ready for you. We’ve been waiting for your sweet smelling flowers, and even your spring showers. The optimism of this new life is what was inspiring for spring, and I hope you feel it when you see the new collections.

Super excited for the Spring line! I too wish the regular line went to size 10 and tweens to 16, hopes for the future. I recently located a.local MJC Trunk Keeper who was thankfully having a sample sale, I was amazed at the pricing and $300 later started my 6 year old with a great statt to her new MJC wardrobe. Since then I have become familiar with the Good Luck Trunk Sales and was astonished to have been able to buy Bennys for $8 and Big Ruffles for $10! In the last couole months I have placed 6 orders, lol! This is my new addiction. Not only have I created a new wardrobe for her, I too wear MJC now with the Finn pants being my favorite!!! I only wish I knew of MJC years ago but thankful I know now. Planning my first trunk show for Feb but would like to know when the Spring line will be released. Thank you MJC for your beautiful designs and quality clothing!!!

I would love for the tween line to go to 16. My daughter loves Matilda Jane. I have told my trunk keeper Robyn Shirley many times.

Love love love this! Love that I can still dress both of my girls in MJC (2&8). My 8 year old is really excited about the tween line!

Erica S - January 5, 2015 - 10:27 pm

Excited about the tween line and the Spring Collection. I’m glad to see all of the moms pulling for larger sizes. My 4 year old is also really tall (90th percentile, just tall) and in at least an 8 now. So love to see the younger clothes continue to be available in bigger sizes! The tween age is such a crucial time for developing self-confidence so I’m pulling for the larger sizes there for all of the tweens, too!

Crystal Saffell - January 5, 2015 - 10:01 pm

Love these clothes!

I’m excited! I found MJ about a year again and love most everything. I have a petite 4 dd, but my niece loves it and the 14 might be too small- perhaps it will be generous!

Timmi - January 5, 2015 - 7:14 pm

Add me to the list of moms who hope that the regular line still goes to at least 10. My DD is 5 but wears an 8 because she is so tall. Loving all the sneaks!

Gina - January 5, 2015 - 6:56 pm

I am so excited for the new releases! The tween line is exactly what we need!

Brittney Bell - January 5, 2015 - 6:53 pm

Thank you for sharing the first sneaks, I’m excited to see what knits are in store for spring. My daughter lives in knits!!

Andrea - January 5, 2015 - 6:51 pm

Well it’s my hope the regular line still goes to a 10-12 my daughter is only 4 but they made shorties so small last season I had to buy a 12, she is very tall for her age and MJ is about the only cute age appropriate 8-10 I can find. We love MJ here. I’m sure 435 will be fabulous!

Amanda L - January 5, 2015 - 6:45 pm

Yay! So excited to see fresh designs & the name of the line…ahhhhmazing!

Michelle Gresham - January 5, 2015 - 6:16 pm

Bridgette Lott - January 5, 2015 - 6:11 pm

My 11 year old is so excited about this line!!

Marcy Schneider Hoffman - January 5, 2015 - 6:07 pm

I agree with Chrissa’s mom! I REALLY wish the tween line went up to size 16 at LEAST! My daughter is in a 14 emerging into 16 so I’m not sure if any of the pieces will fit. 🙁 We LOVE MJC and was really looking forward to the tween line.

Genevieve - January 5, 2015 - 6:06 pm

I also wish the tween sizes would go up to 16 for the bigger (thicker) and taller girls.

Renee Parrott - January 5, 2015 - 5:54 pm

Love this clothing line ….children and adults!!!

Loretta C. - January 5, 2015 - 5:53 pm

Welcome Madeline! Love the collection name and all the beautiful and whimsy imagery that comes to mind when you say it!

As a mom to a tween (8), I am so excited to see the first 435 Collection and know that I can keep my daughter in MJC for many, many years to come. I think you said it best when you said, ” ..decidedly more grown up feel. But not too grown…. girls should be girls, of course, no matter their age!” Preach!!!

Chrissa's mom - January 5, 2015 - 5:11 pm

I wish the tween collection went up to at least size 16.
