I guess I’ll summarize what it was about in list form, because my heart is broken and I know I won’t write it as well the second time. (Am I being dramatic or what?)

1. I’m supposed to blog on Mondays, you know, to keep us MJC girls on schedule. Oops! Here’s a sneak peek to forgive me!

2. I finished the 3rd book of Hunger Games last night. Man, it did not end how I thought it would. Or at least not in the EPIC manner I imagined. I probably need to stop comparing it to Harry Potter. Because nothing is better than that. But really…are you guys Peeta fans or Gale fans? My heart was with Peeta until I saw the first 15 minutes of the movie. Gale is so much cuter in it!!! Don’t you think? Regardless I wasn’t digging the movie the first time around, so I turned it off. Maybe I’ll try to watch it again soon…

3. Yesterday was a great day because Jennifer Roberts, our new Creative Marketing Director joined our team. She comes with boatloads of knowledge and a great personality that will certainly help us with our branding and so much more! I’m excited to see all the fabulous tools and ideas she has for us!

4. In my original post I went on a tangent about how I can’t call you guys customers without including the word friends too. To me, a customer is a person with a face I don’t remember and a name I never knew, but you guys are so much more. I see your daughters and, sometimes yourselves too, on the facebook everyday, and there’s no way you could just be a customer to me. To any of us at Matilda Jane, actually. Ahh, this has me thinking about Art Fair. I can’t wait to get the opportunity to chat with you all again! Even though you all know I’ll be a sweaty nervous mess

5. And last but not least, I want to know what you think of the weekly newsletter I’ve been sending out. I want to make sure it’s full of good stuff you want to read each week and not something you put in your Spam folder! So if you guys have any ideas for me, I would love to hear them. This newsletter is FOR YOU after all. It should be content you want to hear about.

Well since today is the last day of the year, it’s time for a little reflection, don’t you think? Here are a few words to live by and things to think about for the new year…

This is something I think ALL OF US WOMEN can work on. I think we can all be a little too hard on ourselves sometime. And in 2013, I’m going to start being my own best friend.

I must remember that I am my own person and I literally can be WHO EVER I WANT! And I can do ANYTHING. It’s a pretty great gift we all have, the ability to be ourselves, why not scream it from the roof tops in new year?

And this is for me because I love clutter, but I’m happiest when I can see my FAVORITE objects/nick nacks removed from the mess. So here’s to a cleaner, happier home in 2013!

And last but not least, it’s always the right time to help someone, and Spreading the Love should be all year round! Not just during the Holidays. So let’s make a point to be really, super duper nice this year! Shall we?!

We have been busy little bees at Matilda Jane lately, in a lot of different ways. For instance, all the WONDERFUL events for Breast Cancer Awareness that our office girls have been lucky enough to attend. Oh, and the PhotoLove contest is back!! AND how about getting Africa items in and finally placing our eyes on that awesome bag, the neato jewelry case, and the reversible apron?! Yep, I called the jewelry case neato because it just happens to be my favorite of all the items. I’m not really a purse gal, isn’t that strange?! At least it feels that way when you see how much our MJC team loves hobos, joeys, and messenger bags!

Anywho, let’s get bacon on track again…(Yep I typed bacon naturally so I left it, it’s early and I’m starving!) Things never seem to stop moving here. Not for one second. We are hiring and rehiring, we are even having BABIES!!!!!!! Not me HA, but Vivian from Platinum had her baby this week! Jenabelle is a 7lbs 4oz, perfectly healthy, baby girl.

See, I feel like I can’t stay on the same page this morning… FURTHERMORE, I want to tell you that we will be having two guests arrive today too! During the Amber Rousell auction, we donated a trip to MJC to hang with us, and to kinda see what goes on behind the scenes here. Well today is the day that Amanda and her mother Elizabeth will be flying in! I’m beyond nervous. Denise put me in charge of this and to be honest, I wanted to ask her WHY ME?!!?!? Not because I don’t love all you guys and definitely not because I don’t want to meet these two seemingly fabulous women, but I’m sooo not the social butterfly at MJC. Speaking of social butterfly, I asked Kayla to help me out with this (she is the queen of charm and entertainment, trust me) and then she decides to leave me for Nashville this weekend. What’s up with that?! Oh Amanda, don’t worry!! I am working my hardest to ensure you have a memorable time here with us, and Denise and I are looking forward to picking you up from the airport tonight. Wooooo! Speaking of Woo, do you remember the old Empress Woo dress? I do. It was new when I started and now it’s just a little piece of Matilda Jane history. My how time flies…

I told you I can’t stay on track today!! Hopefully the rest of my day goes more smoothly than this blog ha!

Ps. You’re probably wondering who that gorgeous gal is in the photos NOT sporting MJC? Last weekend I took Mark’s (THE BOYFRIEND) sister Sara’s Senior Photos! Talk about nervosa. Good thing she was the perfect model for an amateur like myself. Isn’t she gorgeous?
