I feel like I haven’t blogged in weeks. Or maybe its just because, time sure does fly when you are having fun.
I just arrived back from China last Thursday. I got straight off the plane, freshened up and headed to an event called ” Mom’s Night out.” It is hosted by the Fort Wayne Newspaper and we were asked to coordinate a fashion show. Thank goodness for Alicia who took over when I left for China. Don’t know what I would do with out that girl. I think it was a success, seeing all the kids light up when they arrived to get dressed was precious, not to mention we have some of the cutest moms here in Fort Wayne. Thanks to all of your who participated we had a blast. I’ll share pics when we get them.
That’s not all the news I have this time, normally, I think and think of something worth talking about and trust me it takes a few days to prepare. Rehearsing topics and pics in my head over and over. However, this time around it was pretty much all planned out two weeks ago when I left for China. While I was there we tried to capture pics worth blogging about and I think we did a good job.
One of the cutest memories was captured right after the pic below was taken. I showed Iris and Lida the pic and told them how much I love it, and that I was going to post it on the blog when I arrived home. Iris’s (last person to the right) response was not what I expected but was so sweet and sincere, she sweetly said “I would be honored.” So here it is Iris, just for you.
I have been lucky enough to have been to China 3 times. Each time has been SO different and I love that. My first time I went alone and met Carla in China. My second time Cindy and Lynette joined me and we met Carla there again. That trip will go down in top 10 trips of all time. For those of you who have not met Cindy, you need to. She is one of the funniest people I know and every moment with her is enjoyable.
Then I have the latest trip with Lauren and Yama. It was awesome to spend time with each of them. Yama has been away at school for the last 4 years so it was nice catching up and Lauren works in a different department so I dont see her often even though we are under the same roof. I learned a lot about each of them and so glad I had that chance.
Wanna see more pics from our trip? Here is a highlight of my favorite ones.
Well these are our adventures of Shanghai and some other cities I can’t spell. They capture anywhere from working at the factories on patterns to our long shopping trips in the market, and everything in between. Soon we will be able to post the pics of Kenya…. Can I just say I am OVER the moon. Thanks Denise for sharing this expereience. Have a good night everyone, I have some other work to do…… Sweet dreams
