Fight Like a Girl

Where does one start, when the subject itself is still so sensitive yet we all have so much “Hope”.

Come to think of it, “Hope” is sometimes all you need….. well that and strength.

Chelsa is the epitome of both of those. I will never understand what she is going through, or how she stays strong from day to day, but I do know that if I held half the strength she did, I would have super human powers.

There are some people you meet in life who teach you life lessons you will always hold dear, lessons you share with others, and lessons you later pass down to your children. This is what she has done for me and I know I am not alone.

The past few weeks have been filled with events where we can not only support Chelsa, but also support great causes such  as the Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Foundation and Bust a Move which supports Cancer Services.

Not too mention… Who doesn’t want a reason to get all dressed up with a bunch of your girls for a night out.

Support is the most wonderful thing, and I couldn’t be more happy for Chelsa that she has all of you (Customers & Trunk Keepers) too.

I know if she could hug each of you that have sent “Wishes” or “Thinking of Yous” she would do it in a heart beat.

So in honor of someone you love, support a local cause.

Which brings me to share with you, in honor of Chelsa we have started a tradition we call “Wig Wednesday” and today marks our first day.

Pretty cute right?

Each of you are free to join us and send in pictures… or if you cant wear a wig, wear pink.

So I will end with my favorite quote, never did I realize it would mean what it does today.

“Strong women, may we know them, may we raise them, may we BE them”

I remember when Denise first mentioned Chelsa on a MJC blog many moons ago. I sobbed for her, now I’m inspired by her! She seems amazing!
On a side note, I think a pink Charlie and a pink MJC logo shirt would be an awesome idea to give money to breast cancer charities.

You’re in my heart & thoughts, Chelsa :-). And, you girls look -in all seriousness!- so cute! Actually thinking about going wig-shopping with my daughter this weekend … how fun would that be :-)! She and I will be watching your film together first, though, Chelsa!

Oh Kayla, you are so right…I wish I could hug everyone that has sent me well wishes. There is no possible way for me to personally thank everyone enough for lifting me up.
Love you!!!
