Meet Our TK: Samantha Lantrip

When I think about Matilda Jane, I realize that it’s in every part of my life. I bought my first pair of big ruffles over three years ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since! Fast forward three years; I’ve gone from being a Jane multiple times to becoming a Trunk Keeper in the fall of 2013 to taking a HUGE leap of faith and leaving my teaching career to grow my business. I’m now in my fourth season, and have a career that allows me to be at home with my babies.

Speaking of babies, I have the two sweetest girls in the world! They have completely stolen my heart. They make me laugh and cry and wonder and dream for them and pray harder for their precious little selves than I ever have for anything else. Their daddy is pretty sweet too…they make my world go round, and our world is usually going around in Matilda Jane!

When I look back to the first ruffle leggings and “no-knot” top I bought for Ava during the You&Me collection (items that are now being worn by our sweet baby Lola!), I can remember all the special pieces of Matilda Jane along the way. Matilda Jane quickly filled our closets and hearts! It’s been there on our trips to the park, dancing at weddings, eating ice cream, playing with cousins, enjoying vacations, and Sunday mornings. Matilda Jane has been there on our first day of pre-school, learning to crawl, taking first steps, and more; it’s beautiful and playful, it’s a trip down this mommy’s memory lane! Each piece is special and truly tells a story. I love that it will keep Ava and Lola dressed as little girls were meant to be!

Matilda Jane is not just a job and not just clothes for me, but it is truly a passion and an opportunity that I am beyond thankful for. I love the friendships formed with fellow trunk keepers, and countless new relationships with women who are much more than just customers! Matilda Jane is a blessing to our family…and piled high in the laundry baskets, but I wouldn’t want it any other way!

Samantha and I sat at the same table for dress rehearsal in Dallas. She is so sweet and kind. A wonderful person and affectionate mom. I loved seeing her photos on the blog today.

I absolutely love the picture of your daughter with the pouty face. I snap one of my daughter as often as possible and am so glad I’m not the only one! Your family is beautiful!

I teach preschool and would love to continue part time. I was wondering if I could make this a part time job. How did you get started?

Hi, I am a grandmother of two precious little girls, 2 and 3 year olds. I just discovered MJ last April. I was hooked with my first purchase. Their closet now has lots of MJ in it. I will continue to dress them in MJ as long as they will wear it.
