Yesterday, October 11, 2012 was the United Nations' first International Day of the Girl. Out of concern for human rights issues for girls and women around the world, their first report on the State of the World's Girls 2012 describes baby Nargis, the seven billionth human to be born. She came into the world in 2011, in a poor part of rural India where girls have few opportunities in life. The report states that its aims and hopes for Baby Nargis are foremost to have the opportunity to get an educaiton, which is the key to a full life for girls the world over. I propose the dress be named BABY NARGIS, in honour of the world's 7 billionth human and the UN's first International Day of the Girl, which took place on October 11, 2012.
