November 2020 Collection Inspiration

With the arrival of November, we can’t help but be over-the-moon excited for the upcoming holidays. Although we love fall, we’re eager to pack away the pumpkins and transition to festive holiday décor. November ushers in feelings of nostalgia and the love for all things warm and cozy. With several upcoming holidays, family photos and intimate gatherings, the last weeks of the year are always filled with holiday fun — and plenty of opportunities to dress up! We are so excited to share our latest collection, filled with festive and cozy styles fit for the season. We chatted with Design Director, Meagan, to hear all about this exciting upcoming release!

MJC: What inspired you for the November release?

Meagan Miller: “The November release was inspired by a throwback to the happy, holiday décor used in homes in the 40s and 50s. I remember celebrating the holidays at my grandmother’s house and her tree was always filled with the most beautiful, vibrant ornaments. We wanted to use fun colors with a vintage spin, while still using traditional reds and greens, along with icy blues, pale pinks and rich jewel tones.”

MJC: Tell us about the prints!

MM: “Maggie created a beautiful poinsettia print, perfect for holiday dresses that I just love. Of course you will also find dots, stripes and gingerbread houses. Some of my favorite color pairings are featured in holiday like pink and red — don’t those colors just make you so happy?!”

MJC: What can we expect from November that may be different from previous releases?

MM: “We focused on all the special moments that happen during this time of year — lots of parties, gatherings, traveling and celebrating the New Year. We wanted to make sure there was something for everyone — dressed up, comfortable and effortless. Lots of memories are made during this time, so why not have the most perfect outfit for the occasion?”

MJC: Which girls’ style is your favorite from this release?

MM: “It’s really hard to choose for this collection. I’m loving the Party In Blue Velour Dress, which features a rib velour that is super soft and sweet for girls of any age! Pair it with fancy mary janes or fun sparkle sneakers. I also love The One That I Want Dress — it’s happy, whimsical and great for any time of the year, not just the holidays.”

MJC: Lastly, which November women’s style are you most excited to wear?

MM: “I love the Enjoy The Party Tee. It’s so flattering, super soft, and with a touch of gold, she offers a bit of magic. You can definitely dress this top up for any party, or pair it with Big Ruffles or jeans to run errands and drop the kids off at school, all while feeling comfortable.”
