I really have no clue, and from the sounds of it neither do you. You had some pretty good ideas though. And I think Mimi’s husband came as close to Chris’s earthquake idea when he said a bird may have flown into it.

Today is flying by and the list is growing.ย  My house is trashed and I am so not cleaning it, thought I am thinking of running to the store to buy some more candles so it at least smells good.

Oh, Oh, Oh, Friday, June 25, 435 Art Fair “The CoverGirls” party is coming full swing. This year we are gonna do a Cover Girl theme, seeing we will have our Fall 2010 Cover Girl there. We thought it’d be great fun to do a “glamour shot” type party for all.ย  Ya, hair, make up, face painting and a photographer to shoot your and your little ones glamour shot.ย  Oh, you so gotta tell if you very had one done. Or you can all feel free to ask Kayla all about it seeing she’s starting doing them at the young age of 13! Love her. Oh, and we so need a huge fan for the wind effect…it’s gonna be good.

And a little more details to follow real soon.

Okay…I am a little behind of responding to the blogs but I had Glamour Shots taken when I was 18!!! Going and picking out clothes with sequins! I actually did my own hair because the girls they had couldn’t do it the way I wanted!!! That would be funny for those of us that had them taken to bring them with us to the Friday night party!!!

Sara - May 11, 2010 - 12:47 pm

Kate, I’d like to know as well…anyone?

Rhiana Halverson - May 7, 2010 - 8:26 am

Thanks so much Denise for inlcluding my girlie on the blog! So fun to see her little pigtails up there…Thanks again, Rhiana

WhitleyKate's mom - May 7, 2010 - 6:20 am

Glamour shots! LOL My husband and I had them done (at the request of his parents) one year at the Moose Lodge. My son found one of the pics of his dad about 2 weeks ago. He laughed so stinkin’ hard I thought he’d never recover. It was QUITE the picture of him on a motorcycle, complete with makeup (which was required). I refuse to let the kids EVER see the ones they did of me! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Head over Heels for Hammond Bay - May 6, 2010 - 7:16 pm

So FUN!!! That is going to be such a huge hit with all the little girls! That little blonde is sooo adorable!

Christine - May 6, 2010 - 4:46 pm

Oh, I forgot all about Glamour Shots! Yes, big hair! VERY big hair. Aqua net and Rave the best glue on earth. ๐Ÿ™‚

tree*head - May 6, 2010 - 2:18 pm

OMG Glamour Shots! My friend and I did it one year- back in the early 90’s and my naturally curly hair was so poufy and I had bright MAGENTA lipstick on-it was a mess -but so fun (and funny when I look back at the pics)!!

Kate Adcock - May 6, 2010 - 1:45 pm

Does anyone know how you send Denise a photograph? I’d love to send some great shots my hub got of our daughter in her MJ. Thanks in advance!

Beautifulclothing - May 6, 2010 - 1:25 pm

I must order the little cher dress Mimi. I wanted it, but I did not know that it did that in the back. Gotta get it.

mimi - May 6, 2010 - 1:15 pm

Oh my goodness, we received our Cher dress today, and Hammond Bay tee, from the fundraiser! If you don’t have that dress for your little one, buy it! It buttons down the back, with little pink loops, all the way to the waist. Just amazing. Thanks Denise.

Beautifulclothing - May 6, 2010 - 1:14 pm

Um. House cleaning….what is that? Never heard of it. lol Very exciting about the cover girl contest. I hope my little girl wins. She sure is a pretty little thing. Well, we will have to see. Good luck with the whole bird, earthquake or whatever it is thing.

Holly's Mama - May 6, 2010 - 1:07 pm

I just came on here to tell you how much we LOVE, LOVE the Stephanie Big Ruffles!!! Holly is wearing them today. They are adorable and comfortable – a great combo. Anyway, I read your recent blog entry and the Cover Girl party sounds like soooo much fun. I wish I could go to the party and the 435 art fair. I live so far away and it would be too expensive. Maybe we’ll get lucky and win one of your two contests! A girl can hope, right?

mimi - May 6, 2010 - 11:38 am

We’re having a small problem with a little blue bird sitting on the screen, and constantly hitting the bathroom window, cute, but a little scary at 6:00 in the morning. Have a good day, no house cleaning here in Tennessee, today either.

Your Guess is as Good as Mine

You can decide what happened, cuz for some reason no one here has a clue. the only thing we, well Joe, knows for sure is that Sam could not have done it.

But I will tell you on our run tonite, I told Chris about it and she said I should check the news cuz maybe we had a small earthquake. And yes, I do believe she was not joking. But no, we did not have an earthquake. Good try.

Kellie - May 8, 2010 - 8:56 pm

only you could make that bad accident look oh so good.

soorry that happened! I broke our glass table outside and we still have glass slivers in the mulch

Sarah - May 7, 2010 - 9:40 am

Ha! That is so funny–not the shower door being shattered, but the story. ๐Ÿ™‚ My husband has three brothers and his mom says that “not me” was responsible for all wrong doings in her house.

Christine - May 7, 2010 - 6:49 am

haha this is GREAT. Those boys are soooo guilty

Courtney - May 6, 2010 - 9:14 pm

I don’t know what happened…..but CAAUUTE rug. I need that.

Marci - May 6, 2010 - 6:18 pm

I bet it was the same “ghost” who lives in my house and leaves wrappers and clothes and messes. Noone seems to know in my house how that stuff goes wrong…our answer now is “it must be that darn ghost again!”

Michele Joy Williams - May 6, 2010 - 5:16 pm

My guess is that it was tempered glass. When tempered glass breaks it is deisgned to break into tiny pieces instead of having huge chunks which could cause more bodily harm. Tempered glass is made under tension. A tiny break causes it to shatter over time. It could have even been from installation a while back. That is just my guess…..not an expert on this:)

Paula M - May 6, 2010 - 3:43 pm

In our house when something goes terribly wrong the kids say the invisible man did it…..Maybe he visited your house as well?

WhitleyKate's mom - May 6, 2010 - 1:19 pm

A game of hide-and-seek gone wrong? My sisters and I used to hide in my grandma’s shower when we were little. Your picture looks a lot like my brand new storm door last summer. DH decided to edge the pavers leading to the flagpole in front of the house. One little piece of paver came flying off, and bye-bye storm door! ๐Ÿ™‚

tree*head - May 6, 2010 - 10:37 am

Denise-believe it or not – the SAME thing happened at my parent’s house a few years ago. We were all gathered in the family room after dinner and heard a crash…the littles were all with us so we knew it wasn’t any of them…it was just a freak thing that happened!

Ashley - May 6, 2010 - 10:11 am

thank goodness there were no injuries…broken glass is so much easier to replace!

Mom2six - May 6, 2010 - 9:47 am

Hmmm.. The same thing happened to our shower a few years back, and our son, the only home at the time, SWORE he hadn’t even been in our bathroom.. So, maybe…. We never did figure out what happened but decided to chalk it up to the house settling because a seventeen year old wouldn’t lie to stay out of trouble, would he?! ๐Ÿ˜‰

byetheways - May 6, 2010 - 6:33 am

I think my son Irie would find a kindred spirit in Gabe! If those two ever managed to meet they may create their own earthquake!

Michelle - May 6, 2010 - 6:24 am

SOMEONE slammed that door shut. Hehehe Boys!
I am so sorry! Your new house!

drama's mama - May 6, 2010 - 5:14 am

Im guessing a good old game of hide and seek. Someone picked the perfect hiding spot–the shower and slammed the door (by accident, of course) and it shattered??? NOT fun having THAT replaced that glass is EXPENSIVE!!!!! UGGGHHHH!!!!
Good luck!

Peyton's Mom - May 6, 2010 - 4:51 am

I think it was those trolls you disturbed during your move.

Lisa M - May 6, 2010 - 4:17 am

Oh nooooo! I am with a previous poster and am going to say that someone was slaying a hideous buggie! For what it is worth, I recently knocked out the entire window in my Florida Room whilst attempting to slay a fly…. sigh.

gran - May 6, 2010 - 3:48 am

Happy that no one is hurt.

AnaA - May 6, 2010 - 3:25 am

Oh dear….that looks so familiar. Perhaps – and I’m not admitting to anything – there were some little people practicing their sword/light saber/baton twirling skills and needed to see the reflection. And these said little people did not fully grasp the concept of big objects in little spaces and what may happen. I don’t believe anyone in my home knew what happened either – maybe it is a roaming band of gnomes who travel the country breaking shower doors?

TKJT - May 5, 2010 - 10:46 pm

LOL I meant mop handle but could have been the broom…now even I’m forgetting lol…

TKJT - May 5, 2010 - 10:44 pm

BWWWAAAAAHAHAHA!! The looks on their faces…priceless!

I KNOW what happened but don’t tell them I told ya! ๐Ÿ˜‰ The boys wanted to clean the bathroom as an early Mother’s Day gift and got the mop out and *boom* that darn broom handle hit the glass and it shattered. Poor boys…broken hearted just wanting to do something nice for their Mama lol

mimi - May 5, 2010 - 9:41 pm

My husband said that maybe a bird flew into it. Humm… Yes, we had 2 boys, and he was worse than either of them, he slammed ours, and broke it. Cheap glass.

Katie M - May 5, 2010 - 9:38 pm

ohhhh….noooo……..! Well- be glad it is tempered glass so that it didnt shatter over whoever caused it to break (did you cheak their hair- since the glass that did fall was from the top- I wonder if they have glass in their scalp?!?) and hey- an earthquake could happen out there I suppose lol

Mikki - May 5, 2010 - 9:17 pm

Well atleast you got some really good pictures of it. When my daughter put white paint on our green couch, my one regret was not grabbing my camera. Good Job, your boys are way too cute!!! Do you believe in arranged marriages, because I have 2 darling little girls!

mimi - May 5, 2010 - 9:10 pm

I’m guessing that you didn’t have that big nice shower at your old house, boys have to try out new things. Maybe some little person was holding the door, keeping some “other” little person, out??? “Can’t get me in here.”

Joann E - May 5, 2010 - 9:03 pm

Oh Yeah and my boy really loves rocks. I’m just sayinn ๐Ÿ˜‰

Monika - May 5, 2010 - 9:02 pm

Ok, here’s what E & G think: Joe knows who did it and how it happened, because he has a guilty-ish look on his face… like he’s hiding a secret. And they are pretty sure that Gabe did it, but he didn’t mean to.

Joann E - May 5, 2010 - 9:01 pm

WOW!!!!! UMMM I’m thinking that someone was stuck in the shower and pounding to get out or maybe they saw a spider and wanted to kill it LOL ๐Ÿ˜‰ Sorry Denise I probably would have had a heart attack.

J.Diddy - May 5, 2010 - 8:45 pm

ok, that is BAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDD! bad boy(s)!!! eeek!

JackieF - May 5, 2010 - 8:36 pm

Hmmm….I’m wondering if they were trying to see who could slam the door the hardest??

Holly's Mama - May 5, 2010 - 7:52 pm

I say either it was some sort of ball or maybe it was just a “freak” accident and the glass just fell.

Karen - May 5, 2010 - 7:42 pm

Is my son visiting your house? This looks like something he could do. It would involve some sort of train, truck or tractor and being outraged by his older sister.

Nicole Korensky - May 5, 2010 - 7:35 pm

Oh No! Hmmmmm, maybe the cat saw a fly on the glass and leaped at it! My cats do that all the time-jump up into space reaching for a fly they’ll never catch! ๐Ÿ™‚
Nicole K.

Rhonda - May 5, 2010 - 7:35 pm

I love Chris for trying to shift it to a natural disaster. But I agree, the boys did not do it. The Star Wars characters came to life to celebrate May the Fourth and things got out of hand. That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it.

Rebekah Hubley - May 5, 2010 - 7:32 pm

Maybe Luca was at your house today??? I bet Luca and Gabe could do ‘unbelievable’ things if left alone together… lol… Ryan asked Luca the other day why he was doing naughty things, and this was his reply, “I a toddla daddy…” So, there you have it… straight from Luca’s mouth…

Emily - May 5, 2010 - 7:24 pm

Gabe looks WAY too innocent…no way that sweet thing could cause ANY trouble :)! I think it was David…

Farah - May 5, 2010 - 7:20 pm

OMG, I hope everyone is ok!!!What could have broken the glass like that? it can’t be a bar of soap!! maybe a toy(car or truck)!!
My baby Adam 10m old, couple days ago broke a very expensive piece of art that was given to me from my dearest friends!! And I couldn’t do a thing!except my body’s temperature was really up!!!

Michelle - May 5, 2010 - 6:50 pm

I’ve got money that Gabe had something to do with it. My own sweet little boy gets that look daily. And he loves to send things flying through the air and then act like he has no idea what happened when something falls off a shelf. I tell him every day he’s very lucky he can be so sweet and is so cute.

A few CUTE Friends

Ya, just when I thought I had the cutest babe..I get all these adorable pics in my email….okay, so Gabe is the best cute singer!! Does that make sense?

Love her strawberry blonde hair..love it.

And now I bid farewell to you all as I go to bed at a decent time tonite….finally.

gran - May 5, 2010 - 11:15 am

Just received the package from the fund raiser order. Thank you so much to Becky who helped me with the order. I was out of town and did not have computer access and had left my order info at home. Decided to call and describe the items and that worked just fine.

All very beautiful pics of gorgeous girls! I wish I was that good of a photographer as these other very talented people.

Emma's*Mommy - May 4, 2010 - 8:40 pm

skye knot got a lot of play there…guess that is why it is pretty much sold out.

Just curious, but can anyone send in pictures to possibly grace your blog or just “for real” photographers? And if so, how?

Michelle - May 4, 2010 - 8:28 pm

OH how I heart that Skye knot. So gorgeous.
