Today was the day to tackle the garage. You have no clue how exciting it is to have a garage.Β  Wow. yes, we have a driveway, a garage and an ice maker on the fridge. Boy, this is great! I’ll tell you the full story soon.Β  Everyday I seriously pinch myself that we are able to live here. I love everything about this place. The family who lived here prior was as amazing as it gets and has given us such a blessing. I just can’t get over it.

But I’ll stop cuz I need to tell you what happened when I was cleaning the garage. And no, no gross bug or dead birds or stashes of money, just WISDOM. So I am cleaning and I need to run out to theΒ  end of the driveway (yes, I said driveway, MY driveway) to check on Gabe. He was playing with a sweet neighbor boy named Joe. I tell Joe I’m real tired of cleaning the garage. He looks at me with those eyes of a 6 yr old and says, “Mrs. DeMarchis, don’t waste your time doing something you don’t like waste your time doing something you like.” Yes, he’s 6.

I have so many things to post, you still need to meet Sam. I love that cat. We love that cat. You need to see the house and my new cute chair. Oh, and my new painting, The Smoker. I lucked out and traded Anne a painting for my trailer we used for art fairs! Always love a good trade.

And how about 2 Hammond Bay numbers. Wait 3…..4410, 56 and 50.Β  Now how about who ever can tell me what these represent we’ll get you a little surprise. First one in takes the cake.

Lil - March 15, 2010 - 2:08 am

4/4/10 is easter and you are planning to have an easter egg hunt with 56 hidden eggs and 50 tulips planted after the kids tromp all over the yard! I love your little mystery games.

Chelle Belle / Alchemist - March 12, 2010 - 5:50 pm

4410 is your old house number and 56 is the age in years of the old house. 50 is the age of your new house? I wore my mossy willow today and it is so great! MJC rocks!

Jessica Johnson - March 12, 2010 - 3:34 pm

Love my stuff! Just got Ava’s Wendy Tiered dress today and she put it on right out of the box and ran straight to our neighbor’s house to tell her best friend ” I just got my NEW matilda Jane dress today don’t you love it?”

Beautifulclothing - March 12, 2010 - 1:24 pm

Oh my goodness. The new clothing is adorable. I just came from my open house and bought a couple items. I would have bought it all if I had the funds. Are you enjoying cleaning your new garage at 5650? lol

ForMy2MJGirls - March 12, 2010 - 12:45 pm

I have no idea, but my wife says to guess 4410 is your old address and 5650 is your new address.

katie - March 11, 2010 - 8:20 pm

fruit punch tulip - March 11, 2010 - 5:32 pm

If you spend at least an hour with someone under the age of six, you can’t help but walk away with some wisdom – or at the very least a big smile on your face. They really do live a simple / stress free life. Can’t wait to see the house, the chair & Sam.

gran - March 11, 2010 - 5:21 pm

The numbers must be the address numbers which have been guessed many times over but the other whimsical answers have brought smiles as they were read. Your neighbor Joe is certainly a wise boy. I know you will record that comment and it is one that all of us would do well to remember.
Happy for the DeMarchis Family and all the new memories that will be a part of this home. Looking forward to pictures.

Stephanie Lake - March 11, 2010 - 2:00 pm

It is my measurements…had a baby 8 months ago. It is either that or close to the amount of money I spent on MJ recently (still looking forward to my order – gosh, when will it get here)??????

Brandie - March 11, 2010 - 12:55 pm

4-4-10 Easter Sunday and 5650 is the square ft. in your new home????:-) Please tell me part of my guesses are right…LOL hehe

Lil - March 11, 2010 - 12:53 pm

4410 Pembroke Ln the old home of yours and where the starting of Matilda Jane…

5650 being the home # of the Scott and Linda Miller old home,
Now the new home of the Mr & Mrs. David DeMarchis

Sounds as if Gabe has a very smart and polite friend, cuz i love what 6 year old Joe had to say, the words of wisdom from a small little man….

Most mostly I am happy for you and your NEW DREAM home and and the fact that you finally got THAT painting “The Smoker” from Anne, you have been wanting it as long as I can re-call being a MJ fan.
Your going to have a great year.. Enjoy your blessings <3

Brandie - March 11, 2010 - 12:45 pm

4-4-10 is Easter Sunday, and 5650 is your new addy????

Brandie - March 11, 2010 - 12:32 pm

Or…it’s the 1 year anniversary at the new building and your new addy????

Brandie - March 11, 2010 - 12:31 pm

Is it…4410 orders made for Hammond Bay 2010….the number of employees and the number of trunk keepers????

Beautifulclothing - March 11, 2010 - 11:18 am

I am not guessing anymore b/c I am right with the 4410 being your old address on Pembroke Ln. and 5650 being your new address. Enjoy cleaning your garage.

Beautifulclothing - March 11, 2010 - 11:07 am

5650 is your new address now. 4410 is your previous address on Pembroke Lane.

Beautifulclothing - March 11, 2010 - 10:53 am

4410 previous address. 56 days till Art Fair and 50 new cookie tanks coming out in April.

Beautifulclothing - March 11, 2010 - 10:45 am

I know that 4410 is your address previously! Now if I could figure out the 56 and the 50. I am thinking that it could be your address now! 5650 must be your address now. Unless it is 56 dreams that you have and 50 dreams that have already come true!

Beautifulclothing - March 11, 2010 - 10:33 am

I have been pondering all morning long Denise…….On April 4th 2010 you will have 56 cookie tank tops ready to be sold and 50 Raven skirts. Lol

BeccaBoo - March 11, 2010 - 10:30 am

The first is your new house #. 56 is the # of Coke’s you will need before HB2 comes out, and 50 is the # of kisses you gave your kids today! ;0)

Laura - March 11, 2010 - 10:24 am

Hmmmm… I think 4410 is the number of McDonalds Diet Cokes you drank last year, 56 is the number of Wizards of Waverly Place episodes you have watched, and 50 is the number of fingernail clippings you have. πŸ™‚

mimi - March 11, 2010 - 9:35 am

April 10, 2010, 1 year in your new building, 56, and 50, number of pieces in Hammond Bay, and what’s still left, tempting me. I was born in 1956, wish I was 50??? Love these contests.

Allie - March 11, 2010 - 9:18 am

Is 4410 the amount of minutes we have to wait for HB2 to launch?

Allie - March 11, 2010 - 9:17 am

It’s my favorite little model, Haley! Just love her πŸ™‚

mama2a~n~i - March 11, 2010 - 7:59 am

So I think the 56 is the # of boxes that came in this week with the back ordered stuff in them from peru… 50 boxes of BO items that went out yesterday… 4410? the # of emails you have in your inbox since you started the move and HB was launched. Love HB and looking forward to seeing more from HB2/HB3.

Beautifulclothing - March 11, 2010 - 7:50 am

4410 and 5650 could be the next numbers that you are going to announce to be the winners!!

Joy - March 11, 2010 - 7:27 am

My guess is that 4410 was your room number at Hammond Bay. The 56 and 50 are the number of kids and adults? Just a shot in the dark:)

Beautifulclothing - March 11, 2010 - 7:23 am

OK so I am thinking that 4410 is either your house number or the date of April, 4th 2010. The number 56 is how many boxes that you have in your WONDERFUL garage to unpack still and 50 is the number of boxes that you have left inside the house or the other way around. If 4410 is the date of April, 4th 2010 then I think that is your goal day to be done with all of the packing. After that you can spend all of your time to enjoy your wonderful beautiful house and spend some time relaxing and enjoying your time in your new chair.

Deb - March 11, 2010 - 6:27 am

Will HB2 be uploaded soon? I received an email it would be on the website on the 10th. Don’t want to waste time checking throughout the day today if it will not be up for another few days.

kristin m. - March 11, 2010 - 5:32 am

i guess i need to check back more often to be the first one in on a guess….i would have to say (as a LOT of others have guessed) that they are the address numbers of the old and new houses. congrats on the new home!

Head over Heels for Hammond Bay - March 11, 2010 - 5:08 am

Are they the keytags of the only 3 people that had orders under $300.00???!!!! That would have made my husband happy!

christine - March 11, 2010 - 4:31 am

We’ll have to see some pictures soon! Not even going to guess because I think it was answered:)

My Little Carolina Girl - March 11, 2010 - 4:03 am

I haven’t read all the post so I don’t know if someone has already said this.. “4 4 10” represents April 4, 2010 a special day for you and it takes 56 steps to get to your house from the end of the driveway and another 50 to get to your bedroom. Congrats on the house.

Katie M. - March 11, 2010 - 2:15 am

I’ll go with 4410 miles it would take to drive round trip from you to me, 56 days till your birthday and 50 till art fair
Isnt it exciting to be almost all done- I love getting things put away and having it look great (until the kids come in and wreck it anyhow LOL)

Holly's Mama - March 11, 2010 - 2:15 am

Hi Annette! πŸ™‚

Holly's Mama - March 11, 2010 - 2:13 am

I was so busy today and didn’t have time to look at the blog until now. My guess is the numbers have to do with your new and old address but not sure which numbers are the old address and which are the new ones. I guess some other people already guessed my answer though. πŸ™ Oh, well. I get to go on a week long cruise to Mexico in about one week. That will make up for not winning on the blog. Of course Holly will be wearing some MJ on the cruise! Goodnight Denise. I so need to go to bed!

Annette M - March 11, 2010 - 12:20 am

Knot*Addicted - March 10, 2010 - 9:12 pm

56- Number of outfits that you sent out from all the nominations

Please let this be right πŸ™‚

a lovell - March 10, 2010 - 9:09 pm

Well, I really think that they are house numbers 4410 old house and 5650 new house…or vice-versa. But since that has already been guessed I will say something that I hope is actually not the case….4410 old fingernails (I’m sorry, but that is a little gross that this could in fact be a possibilty), 56 prized trolls, and 50 old barbie dolls or somthing like that.

I don’t know, like I’ve said before, I really suck at this stuff. Why can’t you ever put easy questions on here for the less-insightfull like myself :o)?

*Twinkle*Toes* - March 10, 2010 - 9:09 pm

the 4410 is your Address #. 56 pieces in Hammond bay 1 and 50 in Hammond bay 2 and 3…..?

Erin (Ava, Lily & Claire's mom) - March 10, 2010 - 9:06 pm

First thing that popped into my mind for 4410 was “the last four digits of your social security number,” but that would be silly. Ha! So, I am going to guess that is the 4410 is the number of minutes since you last posted on your blog, 56 is the number of diet cokes you had to consume to unpack all of those boxes and 50 is the number of things that are in Hammond Bay’s second collection (okay, wishful thinking…)

Shelley - March 10, 2010 - 9:03 pm

I think it’s your new and old house numbers!

JackieF - March 10, 2010 - 8:53 pm

Congrats on finally finding a place for your beloved painting!

Kendall Lilly's Mama - March 10, 2010 - 8:48 pm

4410 – # of Hammond Bay keys given out to the “Addicts,”

50 – # of prized Troll dolls in your collection:)

Kari D - March 10, 2010 - 8:46 pm

4410- address of the new house, 50 and 56 are the ages of the previous owners

Mitra - March 10, 2010 - 8:43 pm

Or how about.. 4410 is the old digs and 5056 or 5650 is the new digs? thats a good one! I can see you being sneaky like that!

tree*head - March 10, 2010 - 8:42 pm

Out of the mouth of babes – its amazing how much wisdom littles possess without even knowing it!

I am guessing new house number and old house number(s)?

Mitra - March 10, 2010 - 8:41 pm

4410 a house number you lived at on pembroke lane… 50 and 6 houses up, making it 56 is where you’re living now…and where I am GUESSING you have 2 mortages because I am not thinking you’ve sold your old house yet or you would be OVER THE MOON excited for yourself!

dot+3 - March 10, 2010 - 8:39 pm

Aaaah, the wisdom of a 6-year-old… My guess–your new house number, the total number of boxes moved, and the number of boxes you have unpacked respectively

mom2four - March 10, 2010 - 8:38 pm

Hmmm…4410 might be your OLD house number and 56 and 50 (5650)might be your NEW house number (because the numbers don’t go that high on the key tags).

I think 4410 was listed first because of how much the old house also means to you with all of the memories you have made there. πŸ™‚

Sara - March 10, 2010 - 8:35 pm

Your new house address and favorite numbers

*TKJT* - March 10, 2010 - 8:35 pm

oh shoot those were already guessed how about…
4410 house number, 56 boxes unpacked, 50 boxes remain lol

4410 house number, 56 things on your to do list and 50 seconds you had to yourself lol

Mary R. - March 10, 2010 - 8:32 pm

Your new house addy and your parents’ ages? Just a guess, obviously! LOL
Sounds like you have a very smart little neighbor. :o)

Summer - March 10, 2010 - 8:27 pm

Let’s see, your new house number, the amount of coke bottles you collected, and the number of boxes you have to unpack

*TKJT* - March 10, 2010 - 8:27 pm

Your new house number and your past house number

Laura Ann - March 10, 2010 - 8:25 pm

Hmmmm…I think they represent room key numbers from the Hammond Bay Collection. I also think they represent one happy girl whose dream of living in the perfect house has finally come true for the perfect family with the perfect boys and the perfect cat.

Sweetp6373 - March 10, 2010 - 8:21 pm

your current and past house numbers.

Melody in Arizona - March 10, 2010 - 8:16 pm

4410 is your new address

56 is the number of boxes/packages you have unpacked

50 is the number of things you have on a list in your mind that need to be done!

Wendy - March 10, 2010 - 8:16 pm

How about where you live and have lived and worked.

Tanya - March 10, 2010 - 8:14 pm

4410-the number of total orders the first day of Hammond Bay 2.
56-the number of keys given out (Boo.)
50-the minutes it took to sell out the Raven skirt.

Merri Thomas - March 10, 2010 - 8:14 pm

Oh yes and congrats on your new house…it sounds amazing!

Mississippi Gal - March 10, 2010 - 8:14 pm

Can’t wait to see pic of the house and of Sam. My cat’s name is Sammie, he is the most awesome cat ever. Everyday when I walk out in my garage I either step on a dead mole, dead rat or dead bird! He had a baby snake in his mouth yesterday!

I think the numbers represent the amount you are selling your old house for??? Or an old combination lock code……

Merri Thomas - March 10, 2010 - 8:13 pm

Your new house number, a lucky number, and how many pieces of clothing you sold at your first art fair πŸ™‚

Ella's Mom - March 10, 2010 - 8:12 pm

Well, I might be the first one in, but I’m not sure I’m takin’ the cake! Congrats on your new digs and much good luck! I’m thinking those are house numbers…old house number, new house number and….sheesh…old apartment number?! Ha! Worth a try πŸ™‚

Aurora Arceo - March 10, 2010 - 8:11 pm

room key numbers from the hammond bay line.( I’m in the band)

mommy dearest - March 10, 2010 - 8:09 pm

your past and current house numbers?

Aurora Arceo - March 10, 2010 - 8:08 pm

Hammond BAY room. #’s.from the viewing of hammond bay.

The furniture is in, the Star Wars is unpacked, the food is in the cupboards, towels and sheets are folded neatly, Sam is happy, Joe’s bedroom is almost put together as is mine, Gabe is on the floor till his new bed gets here (hopefully ASAP), painting is complete and now paintings are being hung and now to find the camera and her components. Hopefully tomorrow when we put the office together. Then I’ll show you some pics. This house is truely unbelievable for us. I’m telling you,we are like kids in a candy store. We lived on Pembroke Lane for 12 years…..good house….but now we have a driveway and an attached garage. You would think we won the lotto. Heck, we even have an ice machine that works!!

And now I must stop playing and get some real work done. Poor 435 girls haven’t seen me in a week. Okay, in truth, they may be rejoicing. I am a bit annoying!

Denise - March 10, 2010 - 8:00 pm

that is hilarious…OMG I’m dying….

Skye Johansen - March 10, 2010 - 4:55 pm

Well you DID win the lotto! That house is absolutely amazing and your family deserves it. I’m glad to hear your getting settled, moving is exciting but it’s also way too much work. Wish I was there to help you, it would be so much fun.

tree*head - March 10, 2010 - 12:51 pm

Congrats on the new home Denise-you waited such a long time!
Of course you know we will all want to see pics soon πŸ™‚

Leia - March 8, 2010 - 8:35 pm

Yeah for dreams come true!!

Renee - March 8, 2010 - 3:19 pm

There’s NOTHING like an attached garage in a snowy climate. I was so sad to move away from my walkingdistancetothematildajaneboothatplymouthartinthepark house, but having an attached garage this winter ROCKED, and was a pretty great trade-off! Congratulations on your move πŸ™‚

Jennifer - March 8, 2010 - 11:38 am

I have to share the funniest story….my husband was pacing around with a pout on his face. I asked him what was wrong, he told me he found a room key tag on my dresser and he wanted to know where it came from. OMG….are you kidding me, I seriously spit milk out my nose!!!! I told him to read it and that room keys (generally have keys on them) and they don’t have cute pink ribbon attached. This was seriously one for the books….made me laugh over and over…I’m still laughing! Heck, I got a room key from a BAND member honey, LOL…Thanks for the great times Denise!!!!

Brandie - March 8, 2010 - 10:52 am

Enjoy the fruits of your hard work and Congrats! Too fun! Absolutely can’t wait to see pics!

Mary R. - March 8, 2010 - 7:59 am

Congrats on the new house! May it bring you many years of joy and happiness within its walls. :o)

Cynthia - March 8, 2010 - 4:58 am

Congratulations! I can’t wait to see the pix.

christine - March 8, 2010 - 4:27 am

Congrats! Wow exciting to finally move into your new home and create new memories. Can’t wait to see pictures!

Rebekah Hubley - March 7, 2010 - 11:14 pm

Wow Denise… I can’t believe all that has been done since I was there on Wednesday. You must have an amazing crew. I am getting so excited!!! Can’t wait for the 19th!!!

Kate S. - March 7, 2010 - 9:03 pm

We moved last July and I still have boxes to unpack, the curse of having a garage! The best little thing, a window that opens above the kitchen sink. Never knew I could be so happy doing dishes with a view and a breeze. Best Wishes on the little joys in your new home, Denise! πŸ™‚

Melanie H. - March 7, 2010 - 8:48 pm

I’m so, so, SO very happy for you guys! Enjoy your new home & I wish you all years & years of warm memories & life there! Sounds like you have been a busy bee…we still have LOTS of boxes & stuff to unpack & put away, but we have made strides this weekend…my current motto: Every box is progress!
Oh, my girls wore the Pearl dress & stew ruffles to church today & I tell ya, they were like little spring breezes walking around! SO cute, thanks!

Isabella's Mom - March 7, 2010 - 8:45 pm

Can’t wait to see your pictures! And glad you have ice, that’s always a good thing. Poor little Gabe, but boys call that adventure sleeping. He’ll want to that after his bed comes too.
Glad you are getting settled!
Take care.

Kate - March 7, 2010 - 8:31 pm

Oh my goodness…that picture of the three little girls is
A-DORABLE!!!! Almost makes me want to have another baby…almost.

*Twinkle*Toes* - March 7, 2010 - 7:43 pm

Looking forward to seeing your home style…. Don’t work too hard!

Annette M - March 7, 2010 - 7:32 pm

Sounds exciting. Isn’t it surprising that the little things are the best things. A drive way, an attached garage and such. I can’t wait for my own home. And what I want most of all, is a washer, and if I’m really lucky, a dryer also.

Room No. 4750 and 383

We are all sleeping together now. Yup, me, Joe, Gabe and David. Everything is moved but my bed. Everything is moved and nothing is put away.

I take that back. Today my friend Anne and I dusted David’s Star Wars stuff and put it up. And we organized books.Β  Guess what was packed in the Star Wars stuff? Strawberry Shortcake and she was complete with the Purple PieMan and about 6 other pals, including my faves Orange Blossom and Lemon Meringue.

Skye just sent me over these gorgeous shots. Love em….thank you!

And if you are room no. 4750 or 383 shoot Sam an email. She will need a pic of the tag somewhere that represents you, your town or a happy place. She will also need your address.Β Please put ROOM NO. in your subject line in your email to samm@matildajaneclothing.com

gran - March 7, 2010 - 5:42 am

Reading the comment about Halloween reminded me of the Strawberry Shortcake costume that I made for my daughter. She also got a strawberry shortcake house that year for Christmas. So glad she still has happy memories of playing with it.

Tina M - March 6, 2010 - 9:52 am

Aww! Lemon Meringue was MY fave growing up!!! I dressed up as her for Halloween one year & I have been wanting to have my girls be Strawberry Shorcake & Lemon Merigue but can’t find a cute costume for Lemon Meringue! :0(

Mary Beth - March 5, 2010 - 12:22 pm

OMG 4750! That’s me! This is so exciting!

My4IrishCuties - March 5, 2010 - 8:14 am

I had to literally LOL after reading your post. I was just telling my son last week about how when I was a little girl they had a Strawberry Shortcake contest to win a room filled with Strawberry Shortcake accessories. I told him how every day I would pray and wish that I would win!! That entry form with the photo of the room was so worn after a few months from looking at it everyday. Unfortunately I did not win, but I’m sure I wasn’t the only little girl wishing upon that star!! AHH-hh childhood memories!! Thank you to whoever brought up the smurfs another real favorite. My little ones enjoy watching the cartoon.(me too) I hope you make your new home a really WARM SPACE!!

How about Cherry Merry Muffins??? I had those and I think I still have the complete set. It had all the girls that smelled like cupcakes and they all came with a recipe card. Their home was a kitchen. LOVE all the flash backs! Man toys were awesome “Back in the day” as my daughter calls it. LOL I am barely ordering on the 15th and wish on a lucky star I get a room key. πŸ™‚ Love the pics. Denise, your clothes have a need for the spotlight! They are totally camera ready!

Ali - March 4, 2010 - 2:54 pm

luci - March 3, 2010 - 5:50 pm

I still have all my strawberry shortcake stuff. I got them for Christmas one year – ALL OF THEM. The room that the presents were in SMELLED. My sisters kept trying to put them in the closet, but I would cry and mom made them leave them under the tree. I must say – all of the flavors together was not that plesant. HA!!

Michelle - March 3, 2010 - 5:10 pm

I’m so jealous you found your Strawberry Shortcakes. I know mine are packed away in a Clinique makeup bag somewhere in my grandmas atttic. I want to find them so bad. I just bought my daughter her first one. She would love my old collection. I bet they still smell. I used to love to smell them…

christine - March 3, 2010 - 4:10 pm

Emily M - March 3, 2010 - 2:49 pm

Chelle Belle / Alchemist - March 3, 2010 - 2:17 pm

Got my order yesterday and I absolutely love it. As expected, my daughter is twirling and reveling in her new pretties. I got the mossy willow for me and love love love it. Where are those dark blue ruffles Sam is wearing in the picture? Coming soon I hope.

RE the room keys: Is it safe to say that all of us MJC addicts are in a metaphorical hotel together? I’m excited I actually got a key!

Denise, when the whole family is sleeping in the same bed (usually with the big dog, too) we call it “Packing Out” as in a wolf pack.

Day to the Oh - March 3, 2010 - 1:56 pm

Skye’s pix are GORGE!!! Can I tell you that it makes me feel SO good that Skye and I have the same taste? That last outfit is EXACTLY how I put it together at my trunk show. Everyone thought I was so smart, but obviously not the only one! πŸ˜‰ Can’t wait to get my order! Hurry up Man in brown!!!

My Little Carolina Girl - March 3, 2010 - 1:54 pm

Strawberry shortcake collection of dolls was great. Their smell reminds me of Strach n Sniff stickers my teachers would give me in grade school. Oh, to be young again. What a simple life when little things meant so much. Thanks for the glimpse back to the past. MJC rocks!

Deb - March 3, 2010 - 10:25 am

Received my Hammond bay order on Monday! Let me tell you my daughter LOVED everything! She HAD to put on the Raven skirt and dance Yourself Silly tank right then and there, even though there is snow outside, she wore it the rest of the night and gave me grief when it was time to get into her PJ’s. She always loves all her MJ, but this time she was Over the Moon with Excitement! Thank you! It makes mornings so much easier.

On a Strawberry Shortcake note, my daughter has the new ones and cannot stop playing with them. Retro is in. Rainbow Brite is making a comeback too.

Mary R. - March 3, 2010 - 8:53 am

Such a fun ‘contest’. :o) Love the pix, too!

Erin "pancake makers mom" Spencer - March 3, 2010 - 8:46 am

I wonder if this means all the keys were given out on the first day???? I ordered in the first week but probably not soon enough…. well still fun, let the games begin!!!

On the retro front…my daughter is huge into the smurfs right now..made the mistake of getting her season 1 on dvd this christmas now she wants a smurfs bday party. I have searched the web from A-Z and no smurf party stuff. Lots of crazy people with websites showing their collectable smurf stuff…who are these people?? Its 1 thing to save childhood memories but to devote a website to your smurfs is another thing!! So im getting the creative jucies flowing so i can put on a smurfs bday party for my baby girl!!!

vanessa diel - March 3, 2010 - 8:45 am

Love all of these. Just soo precious. Can’t wait to receive my spring clothing.

Jackie F. - March 3, 2010 - 8:00 am

I can’t wait for my order to arrive to see if I’m a winner!
I wished that my mom saved my huge Strawberry Shortcake collection!
I loved it so much! I even had Strawberry Shortcake wallpaper in my room growing up. I love smelling the dolls. Do yours still have their yummy smell???

a lovell - March 3, 2010 - 7:36 am

My mom still has all of our Strawberry Shortcake dolls in an old Strawberry Shortcake metal lunch box. They are all missing at least one shoe and/or accessory but the the box still has a nice aroma when you open it. I don’t like the new SS style…I love the classic. The grandkids seem to prefer the classic as well, over the new style.

workingnine2five - March 3, 2010 - 7:15 am

All this talk about Strawberry Shortcake dolls brings me back to kindergarten. So I was that kid that had them in a shadow box hanging on her wall just above the bed. Apparently I was missing one and a girl on my bus had just the one I needed to complete my collection. So knowing that I had to pay for things that I wanted I went into my Dad’s secret money jar in his underwear drawer and pulled out a green bill to buy my very own Orange Blossom. The very next day the girl’s mom called my mom and said she could not accept $50.00 for this little figurine….hey I thought it was an even trade. Needless to say my Dad gave me a strong (yet gentle for a kindergartner) talkn to. Those were the days πŸ™‚

byetheways - March 3, 2010 - 6:26 am

The new Strawberry Shortcake has traded her spearmint tights for jeans…she and Apple Dumplin need a room key so they can switch back to the old school style! Otherwise, it’s Sour Grapes!!!!!

Lauri - March 3, 2010 - 5:58 am

The question is did they still smell good?

Lisa M - March 3, 2010 - 5:40 am

Oh how funny! I used to have all of the Strawberry Shortcake characters… they were my favorites growing up!

April W. - March 3, 2010 - 5:05 am

Mmm! Did the Strawberry Shortcake dolls still have their berry good smell? I LOVE the photos! I bought all those pieces and can’t WAIT to layer them like that on my Emmy! πŸ˜€

Amanda Keeys - March 3, 2010 - 3:01 am

How gorgeous are Skye’s photos <3 Orange Blossom was always my favourite. Have you seen the "modernised" versions? Soooo not as cute.

Kate S. - March 2, 2010 - 11:04 pm

I seem to remember liking little Apple Dumpling the best. I really have this urge to go dig them out of my mom’s basement so I…err…Anna can play with them. πŸ™‚

Linda - March 2, 2010 - 9:58 pm

Yeah! Let the games begin! How exciting. Congrats to the winners. And I love the outfit pictured – thrilled because I have all three pieces and they look so cute together.
