Randomness and Good Things

I have been sitting at this computer since about 7 this am. You’d think I’d be done with whatever it is I am doing but ya, that is so not the case. I do have 1/2 the list checked off so that is a good thing and as soon as I get this post done I am taking Joe for a hot fudge sundae for the A+ he got in math.

Now to the GOOD STUFF. You see that sweet tank up above, the one that is perfectly layered over the tee from You and Me? Well, we listened to all you Jane’s out there and made a couple of items for Jane only. The best part, they start February One and go till they last for all Jane’s who have a qualifying show (see your TK for that info).  Seriously, this line is beautiful. I’m a little nervous that I can’t top it. Just a little but I guess that is a good thing, keeps me on my toes!

Goodness, David is upstairs on the elliptical and I can hear it right through the ceiling. It is driving me crazy: One because it is so loud and annoying, Two because he is working out and I am still sitting in this chair! Ha, my punctuation is hilarious. I’ve almost thrown my hat in! Luckily and thankfully to you for being patient and reading past all my grammatical errors.

So this is a crazy week coming up. It is weird to be packing a sale and editing a new line at the same time.  We are also working on a few big projects, getting details finalized for the Choose the Charity and Art Fair.  And Sam is finalizing Fall details.  Sometimes I feel like I am in 3 different months at the same time. Almost all the Spring 2011 shipment is here and 435 is busting at the seams and that is not an exaggeration. How the heck did all that happen? I remember getting 2 pallets of shipments and thinking that was HUGE, now we get 8-10 40 foot semi trucks. That is just weird. The craziest thing, which is also the best thing, is we all still do it like we always have. Every single one of us still do 20 jobs at once and help where it’s needed. It’s one of the coolest things about working at MJC, I think. Everyone has their responsibilities but  when shipments come, inventory starts, the season begins we all do the same thing..help each other. Though I will confess, I have been a little slacking on helping out with the shipments. I’m just gonna blame that on my brain. The winter months always play with my brain and I so become a hermit. I seriously could stay in the house for months.

Alrighty, now I must get back to work. I got a feeling it is going to be another super late night and real early morning. My plate is like a Thanksgiving Dinner for the entire family. I have know idea how I am going to clear it but I will cuz it is all good!

I don’t know how you do it all! All I can say is that you are super talented. I couldnt imagine managing all the small details that go into this type of business. Im sure you have help. Picking the right people that are dedicated to the work, thats a talent that stands alone. Then to manage your family and somehow fjnd a balance, it’s no wonder why MJC is successful! The dedication to your clothing line exudes the very essence of what hard work and motivation will get you. I think it’s because of your interpersonal connection through the blog, fb, and twitter, that people remain so intrigued by your brand. At least, I know, that’s why I do. It is wonderful to buy a brand in which you can connect with the creator. I hope to share this story with my daughter one day. To be clearer, I hope to explain to my daughter why I was such a fan of this line amd why her closet is full of Mj. You ladies are not only an inspiration but such an example of what women now a days are and can become. Keep up the great work! <3 Alex

I totally do the Hermit thing too. Just got off the phone with a friend who called me on it. She said “you do that every winter”. LOL I love friends who know you better than yourself.
