Shop my Stuff

Wow, have I been slacking or what? I told David the first thing I am doing this morning is blogging. I lied. I shoveled the side walk (love that snow), shoveled part of the driveway of the new place, took so much dang garbage to 435 (good thing they have a dumpster) and set up Shop My Stuff. And now here I am.

Deedee came down and is helping us pack all this junk up. I started tossing stuff out when she suggested Shop My Stuff. She’s pretty dang smart. So I packed up all the cute stuff that I really like but just have had stored away forever and brought it to 435. I should’ve taken a pic this morning, I’ll take one for round 2. It’s pretty simple.  The rules for the 435 gals are: It’s all cute, it’s all free. Take turns, be fair and share. So it’s like a mini Gsale on the cutting table but it’s all cute and it’s all free!

We are so fortunate, one to get the house we’ve been trying for for just under a year, and two to know the past owner/builder. I love them, adore them and think nothing but the world of them. I remember long ago when Joe was just a few weeks old and I was so afraid to cut his finger nails. You know how thin they are and I didn’t want to cut him. So I called Linda up and Scott ran over and cut his nails for me. Love them.

And the other day he gave me some pics of the house being built. The one above is the backside. For real, pinch me, cuz this is so dang surreal.

Thank you to Skye for the most fabulous pic above. Okay, go to her blog cuz whatever that song she is playing literally gave me goosebumps..and then her post about Saylor…come on Skye, it’s Saturday morning, I don’t want to cry!! It is beautiful.

SIDENOTE: I used to paint shoes, and just found quite a few pairs of white and pink little canvas mary janes. They are all assorted and what not. If you know anyone who paints shoes leave me a note. First come first serve. IMPORTANT: All 3 boxes ( about 50 pairs) will go to one home, and I can’t divide them up, nor sort through..but are perfect for an shoe painting artist.

When I read your blog this morning I took it that you found a bunch of old MJ clothes and was having the garage sale for them. You’ll see I’m such a dork! I guess that I should read without the girls climbing on me, and think before I write. Don’t you love the mommy brain.

I have actually been trying to find a place to buy canvas shoes so I could paint them I have done a few for friends, but they keep asking to me to do more. I would love them or if you could tell me where to buy them bulk? Walmart does not always carry them.
I glad you got the house!! Goodluck – which I was closer. I need stuff for my new home in WI.

Michelle - February 27, 2010 - 5:33 pm

Ok posted this below under room keys. Oops. I just wanted to say I love her boys long hair. My Jase has the same hair and people call him a girl a lot. But he won’t let us cut it. He’s 3. I love that he knows what he wants…

Have a great weekend to everyone…unfortunately I am in the bed with the flu and dislocated knee…not good….hopefully next week will be better for me 🙂

Karen S. - February 27, 2010 - 12:39 pm

i wish i was at 435 to be part of this gsale!!! i love the gsale idea!!! it’s a great recycle idea! re-use, don’t put in some landfill.. when i was growing up, people had enough kids to wear out their clothes.. this is not the case so much now.. i wish i was there to root through all your loot! it’s like a treasure hunt for me! enjoy the new home.. make some memories for those cute boys!

Courtney - February 27, 2010 - 11:52 am

Day to the Oh - February 27, 2010 - 10:30 am

OMGoodness, shoot me now! Why can’t I delete comments? lol It’s GRACIE’s laugh, not Saylor’s. Gracie is the big sis she’s talking about. I can’t leave false info, so there ya go! Now I’m done!!!!!!!!!! Sweet mother of curls hahaha

Day to the Oh - February 27, 2010 - 10:26 am

One more thing, I promise!!! lol You have to click on the link on Skye’s blog to Saylor laughing. It is the cutest laugh I’ve ever heard!!! (I would have just erased my last comments and did one, but I can’t –sorry! ) hee-hee

Jeanne Mulligan - February 27, 2010 - 10:19 am

I would love the shoes. I have a friend that does incredible painted shoes. I was thinking it’d be nice to do with my daughter as well. She’s a budding artist.

Day to the Oh - February 27, 2010 - 10:08 am

Just a thought, if you don’t get a shoe painter on here, I bet the little girls in and orphanage in Haiti would be giddy over a box full of mary janes showing up. Just a thought. 😉

JodiR - February 27, 2010 - 9:41 am

Denise: Would love the shoes. My friend Kelly knows just what to do with them.

What a nice house. I love love love all the windows. Is there going to be an online sale anytime soon. I had seen several weeks ago that the prices got discounted off the gypsy blue collection, but then several days later went back to normal price. I have several items that I am interested in. Have a nice weekend!
