Spread the LOVE

We all got home yesterday afternoon and my mind is so full of ideas that I swear my body is shaking from head to toe.  It’s so hard to process it all and get my brain organized so I can make a difference. So we can make a difference. I cannot thank Charlotte enough for the quick email or FB post  a couple years ago asking for dresses for the orphanage.  It has changed my life and many others.

But today, I need to put that aside and focus on another one of my favorite things, Spread the Love. Yup, it is time to nominate your friend, teacher, neighbor or whomever you want to say “Thank you, you made me smile”.

I think I have been asked at least 5 times this weekend what I want for Christmas. And all 5 times I responded, “Really, nothing.”  I have so much, so much. But that is a story for another day. Today is the day we talk about Spread The Love, our favorite event of the year at Matilda Jane Clothing.

There is nothing I love more than sending out surprise packages. I love it and would do it all day long if I could.  Seriously, what is better than putting a smile on someone’s face?  I’m totally smiling thinking about it.  Now your job is to shoot us an email with who you think we should surprise with a nice MJC package. It could be a teacher, a friend,  your mom or pretty much anyone that you want to put a smile on their face. We will need a complete address and sizes to be considered.  Please note due to the volume of requests we get we will not be able to reply to all of them therefore  you MUST include the above information to be considered.  We’ll keep this running for as long as we can get it to them in time for the holidays.  And if you saw my Pink Tree, I am so dying to send a little girl a tree with little presents. So cute and she would totally be in love! I can see it now..and I am in love with what I see.  And this year we stocked up on sparkly trees.  The girls in the warehouse took turns over the past few weeks shopping and getting all ready to send some pretty amazing boxes.

And now is the time to put your thinking cap on.  Do you drive by a certain house on the way to school and see kids playing in the yard that you think would love a huge surprise box on their door? Do you know a group of little girls, or maybe even a crew of teachers at school, or maybe it could be a nice lady you see at the store everyday checking out your groceries. Or it could be a friend who is down on her luck or a friend that makes you smile everyday and you want to return that smile.

Oh, so many  things to think about. But one thing for sure…you MUST BE COMPLETE when sending us your information. We need Full Shipping Address, name(s) or if you do not know please state UNKNOWN, and we will need ages and sizes and if you know something they really would love, let us know that also..  Once you have all this information please email us at lovetogive@matildajaneclothing.com. But please put all information in one single email.

We’ll start sending packages at the end of this week.

I am in awe. I nominated someone yet I got a package today. I am absolutely honored to think that someone thought I deserved this. I can say thank you but not sure that it means really what I feel. I was sent 2 identical items in the same size and I can’t wait to pass it on. I am also so thankful to you for all you do.

I hope the best for you and your family this holiday season.

Sister-In-Law Love!!! I would totally nominate my SIL to receive something fun for the holidays. My SIL is one of those moms that never does anything for herself. She works a full-time job and them some and goes home and doesn’t stop until she goes to bed. She is an amazing friend and mother and a MJC package would totally brighten up her day!

I think that is is so wonderful that you chose to give the way that you do. May your heart alway be humble. I have several little girls in mind. Many who live in poverty. There is a small public school here in my community and everyday that I drop off my little girl, there are always several others that I want to bring home with us. The scool is called Westside and its located in Macon County Tennessee. I would love to see many of the children there wearing Matilda Jane, if there was any way you were able to accomadate them. I know it’s asking alot, but I do also know that many of these children are in need of clothing and many of them will only be getting christmas because of what other are able to provide. Thank you for of concern.
