The Bread Box

I really like bread boxes. I do. Everytime I see a cute one, I snatch it up. I just got this one at Target.  They pretty much are the cutest thing in the kitchen. Okay, next to the the microwave, mixer and salt n’ pepper shakers! Anyways my point? I love bread boxes. Imagine my surprise the other day when I open it up to make toast for the boys and there’s no bread?  Yes, David, after all these years, has decided bread is best kept in the fridge. Hmm..I guess I had better go buy a cute fridge. What a great excuse.

We rushed around yesterday to get to the hockey game at Miami of Ohio on time only to drive 2 hours and turn around. That dang snow. But hey, today is a new day and we’ll give it another try. I love, love the snow, maybe even a bit more than breadboxes!!

My pal, Ali, has he best blog. I love living through her. She is way too cool, I wanna be that cool but for now I’m happy with a cool friend! Okay, speaking of blogs, I read too many. These are my staples:

  1. Dirty Picasso Ride
  2. Untamed Heart
  3. Point of View Lens
  4. Paperlili
  5. The Chronicles of Windy Ridge

There’s several more but Gabe will not stop asking to go outside and if I have to say “Just in a minute” one more time,I’m gonna freak. I hate that phrase and use it way too often.

And.. now that I’m back in Canada, my kids were making me nuts being cooped up and all.. two days ago we put up a trampoline in our basement. Either I’m nuts..or I win best mother of the year award! Currently we are the most popular neighbors. Request a picture and I shall send. lol

#5 is a staple here too, LOVE Jen, she just rocks so much!

We only have one bread box and it is a constant struggle to keep Aiden from using it as a garage, ehehehe.

BTW, you need to put Samm’s blog link back up! I miss that cutie!

Oh the snow! Isn’t it pretty? Especially when it is sunny outside too and it just radiates! The bummer when it melts and I see my yucky brown yard that looks so sad. Then when the tulips pop back up. SPRING! Have a wonderful day:)

Hey! I grew up in Oxford, OH! Home of Miami University in Ohio. When I was born we lived in a house across the street from the high school. Very small town to grow up in but very unique and it was great. My parents still live there and so I am back there a few times per year. It is one of those places where you can’t go anywhere without running into someone you know. I kind of like that. It’s one of those towns where there was a big revolt when the idea of tearing down the water tower in the middle of “uptown” was first mentioned, and everyone was saddened when Bruno’s Pizza burned down. Have a great time if you make it. I just talked to my parents and they have 8 inches and more coming! Diapolos is a good local restaurant. Oh, and I love the color of your bread box!

OOo I love bread boxes too – but mine the generic wooden one…I’ll have to go to Tar -jay and pick one up like that!
Have fun with Joe in the snow and stay warm!

After all of the disappointment with the whole picture debacle thingy, I thought of experiences some of my close friends are enduring and that brought some important things to light-things that really matter, like -the pain and devastation in Haiti, people who cannot afford to pay their oil bill and have it turned off in the dead of winter, those who are out of work and worry how to provide for their family, those who have sick littles, and the news that my oldest son ,20, is heading to Afghanistan (he is detaching from me and hasn’t called me in weeks :().

I patiently wait for the pictures of the next new line knowing it will bring me a tinge of euphoria and happiness.

We are all human and all make mistakes-especially when we suffer from mommy brain and work nonstop to bring others joy. 🙂

Now I’ll get off my soapbox and let you know that I think YOU”RE cool Denise 🙂

Sorry you didn’t make it last night, but I love the picture!! It isn’t your usual quality though… 😉
A new frig? Wait a few weeks…
We’re off to the mother/daughter event at school, we’re painting pottery. Guess what the girl has in mind?
Have a good day in the snow, Joe is probably thrilled to get to snowboard. It’s still sunny here. It’s probably holding off until Friday so we will have to cancel our trip north.
Take care.
