Do you remember when you first discovered Matilda Jane? Oh, we flew pretty low on the radar. I kinda feel like we still do. Ya, I’m a low flier. I always feel weird announcing stuff, or drawing a lot of attention to myself. Ha, especially right now cuz we are walking around the airport and I am bald, no eyelashes and even better…no eyebrows. WEIRD.
Anyhow, so back to flying under the radar…I remember when we decided we needed to hang a sign outside 435 so when you all came to Art Fair you knew you were in the right place. It was quite the discussion cuz I really didn’t want anyone to know who we were. I was so good at just saying “Oh, I make kids clothes” and if I said Matilda Jane, they were clueless. I like that. Like it was my own little secret.
BUT….we couldn’t have all you gals lost so the sign got hung and we became official. And at that moment we all got giddy. It was quite the exciting day.
So who can tell me:
1.What was the date the sign got hung?
2.What is the difference between the sign today and the sign then?
3. And to shake it up a bit…what 3 boys wore hats for HAT DAY at Matilda Jane way back when?
If your comment doesn’t show up right away, it is me. I have to manually approve so it takes a bit of time when we do contests. Oh, plus I’ll be flying to Tokyo (pinch me!). How about we’ll pick 3 random correct winners (all 3 questions must be right) to receive a $100 Matilda Jane Gift Card.
And before you go off searching let’s hear it for the winners from yesterday.
These 2 fella’s have no clue what they are in for…keep a close eye on them… Just a hint for the big sha bang.
I love the contests where you ask questions to which the answers are buried deep in your blog (re: nicknames for your sons, penny necklaces from your grandfather, etc.). Even when I don’t know the answer, it lets us in on more of the story behind MJC, and I think the personal touches of this company (handwritten notes in Platinum orders, etc.) are what make it the very best!
Looking forward to a fun week of contests!
I remember a contest one time to answer a math question when you and David were traveling and everyone trying to figure it out. That was fun
I have 2 favorite contests that I can recall (hope that’s ok).
The first is when you ask to post pics of yourself at trunk shows. I love seeing them. For the longest time, I did not live by a local TK, so I loved seeing real shows through pics. Not to mention, all the details some add.
Secondly, I recall the GMTA post. I seriously LOL’d when I read that bc my MIL, SIL, & I ALWAYS abbreviate words. We just say the abbreviation, and we always know what we are talking about. )
Christina, Amanda and Tiffany- If you could email Lauren at email@example.com with your name, address, size and a note on which contest you won, that would be great. Obviously, Spring doesn’t launch until February so you can email her then with your 3 favorite pieces and we will send as soon as we can!
And cuz I know you all too well, I am fairly certain you’d like to be looking at…
Stay tuned for the best trunk shows on earth!! I’m certain you will love what you see come February.
