Free Shipping Starts NOW!

Before I go into why I love this little chick above I must tell you Free Shipping is Nov 19-21. Actually we are an hour early to start it due to…don’t ask. Computers are so crazy at times.  But yup, enjoy Free Shipping to the Lower 48 and $5 flat to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. This includes Platinum also!

But I must tell you when I opened the email to see this little miss and her grinning face it brought me back a good 4 years to a friend Shannon.  She is a spitting image of Shannon’s daughter Hannah.  A few of you may know Shannon, she was with me in the very beginning. If you know her you will know she embodies the Matilda Jane Spirit to the core.  She owns the word amazing.  It has been ages since we last spoke, and someday I will tell you our story with a happy ending till then you’ll just have to wait. Cuz I know there will be a happy ending!

Who can resist this little picture.  I cannot begin to tell you how flattered stuff like this makes me.  I am not sure what it is this week but I’m really feeling the Matilda Jane spirit. I can’t explain it and maybe it is that I have been running non stop since the end of August that I am just starting to realize all the important things I have not paid enough attention to. I sometimes get so caught up in what I am doing that I forget why I am doing it and who I am doing it for. that is quite simple, my family, you and me. It just seems I have barely brought me head up form all these fabrics to see any of it. It is kinda sad.

But I vow that the month of December is just time to relax a bit. Don’t worry 435 is still running full swing but I am not. Nope. I am gonna get this new house turned into a home for the holiday season. And maybe even make dinner once a week. Don’t ask!  We do not operate like a normal family here. We should, I so want to, I just need to make it happen and a little more time.

and a little more cuteness before I sign off!

How Elizabeth got so big so fast I will never know.  When we first started MJC her mom, Mary Anne would call in her orders. I think you were like the 3rd or 4th person to place an order with us. Oh, loved working at Fairfield Manor. Yup, it was back then I could answer phones and actually be knowledgeable. Now, that computer system is too hi-tech for me.  I’m so afraid I will screw something up. Ha, seeing Kayla and Lynette are gone and Becky is in the hospital having the baby maybe I will try to answer the phone for a bit.  Hmmm…let’s see

It’s easy to lose sight of important things when the day to day gets in the way. From the time I got to chit chat with you last weekend in FL it is obvious you work hard every day to keep a balance. I admire your drive…and the million and one things you do. Keep up the good work lady! 🙂

Holly's Mama - November 18, 2010 - 11:14 pm

I understand how you feel about being busy! lol I have been so busy since the end of August too but was forced to slow down this week because Holly has been sick with a high fever all week 🙁 She will most likely miss the Thanksgiving feast at school tomorrow. About the dinners – when you make something make a lot and freeze half of it so you can just thaw it out. That makes it easier to do meals when things get hectic. That’s what I usually do.

Big Hugs… you are amazing! I know that your head must be spinning from everything you have going on – just don’t forget to enjoy it all too!!

Denise, you are awesome! Just thought you’d like to know.

Hmm, if you try to operate “normal”, then you probably wouldn’t be you. My kids love it when I do things different. Breakfast for dinner is “normal” for us!Pizza or sandwiches for breakfast big hit! That’s our normal.

Thanks so much for using the picture of my daughter Isabelle. We love Matilda Jane clothes!!! Let me know if you ever need another MJ model, she loves having her picture made!

Tracy - November 19, 2010 - 12:20 pm

Normal? That’s funny! We stopped using that word at least six years ago, and I’m pretty sure that my kids think that all food “beeps” thanks to the microwavinator! However, our home, like your home, is full of LOVE. And, we owe some of that to YOU because MJC is just a part of our every day!
