What is PHOTO LOVE?
Photo Love is a contest started years ago by Denise, MJC’s founder, as a fun way to showcase the amazing talents of the photographers in our Matilda Jane family.
Round ONE, Initiation — March 4 through March 30
Matilda Jane has an amazing new Tween line, 435 by MJC, and we would love to see how you are styling and photographing it. We will accept photographer submissions now through March 30. To enter, send one photo size 520×640 (520 is the width) to firstname.lastname@example.org. The subject line must include your state and the name you do business under, for example, Indiana PhotoMagic. Your email must also include your full mailing address and the size of the 435 outfit you would like if you are selected for Round Two. This is the only qualification necessary for Round ONE. If any of the above is missing, your submission will not be accepted. If you are selected to be in Round TWO, we do require that you link to 435 by MJC on your blog or website.
Round TWO, Photo Love — April 1 through April 13
Matilda Jane will choose 20 photographers. We will send you an outfit to photograph in any manner you choose. (The outfit sent will be in the size stated in your original email.) You will have until April 13 to photograph the outfit, and post it to Instagram using the hashtags #435byMJC and #photolove.
MJC will then narrow the field down to 10 photographers. Our decision will be based on styling and execution as well as the ability to capture the spirit of 435 — It’s What’s On The Inside That Counts. The top 10 finalists will all receive a $250 Matilda Jane Clothing gift card.
Round THREE, The Final Three — Mid-through-late April
We will post our Top 10 choices (link to be announced) for the public to vote. The top three will be chosen by the public, and Matilda Jane will choose the top prize winner.
This very talented gal or guy will receive an all expense paid trip for two (2) to our Fall 2015 photo shoot this summer, where you’ll get to meet the team and see what goes on behind-the-scenes. You will also have your 435 work featured in an upcoming Mix & Match book.
