At Last!

IT’S HERE!!!! The weekend we’ve been counting down to, blogging about, and ironing our fingers off for has finally arrived. This is my third 435 Art Fair, and for some reason this year just feels different to me. But it is a good different. Maybe it’s the fact that I will know so many more people from talking to all of our Platinum customers over the past year- even if I don’t recognize a face, I guarantee you I’ll know you by your name! Maybe it’s the fact that we have been prepping for Art Fair 2012 since the Monday after Art Fair 2011 was over, and I have been dying for everyone to see all of the beyond gorgeous items that have been coming back for the last year. Or maybe it is just me, soaking up every last second that we have here in the cozy little brick warehouse we call home.

The festivities officially began for me yesterday when Carrie and I had the honor of picking up Bridgette of MJC LookBooks Fame. We had both emailed and spoken on the phone with her before, but you never know exactly what to expect when meeting a person for the first time. So we were a little nervous while we were waiting at the gate. But as soon as we saw her waving like crazy on the way down the escalator (and maybe heard her scream too), we were sure we would absolutely love this lady! Not only is she hilarious and one of my favorite people I’ve ever met, but she knows EVERYTHING about Matilda Jane. If I wasn’t nervous before about our contest tonight, I definitely am now!

But really, I think this is going to be the best Art Fair EVER! I’ve already met so many amazing people and gotten to spend time with some of my favorite people that Art Fair brings around each year- and it can only get better from here! There’s still a lot to do, and the day is still young, so I will talk more with you tonight at the party!!
