Boys, boys, boys…I love boys

I am certain you are quick to pick up, all of us girls, (Lynette, Anne, Renee, my Mom, Sara Brown, Kylee x 2 and Maggie) were all working on our tans and the boys kept busy on the beach. I am proud to say this year I did not get burned. Okay, just along my hairline. It’s cuz I was trying to look cute with one of those french braid deals across my forehead. It did look cute but so no cute when my forehead started pealing.  We had the same great gang from last Spring Break plus the kids brought a few new friends and David’s brother Dan and his little boy Michael joined us. I think the best part of Spring Break is the limited cell phone signal. It’s the one week where my cell is not glued to my hand. And it is one full week of time with the folks I adore the most.

We left a day early. Yes, I got a cell phone signal and I started to get in work mode. No fun for anyone. Seriously, I think I irritate everyone when I am constantly emailing and checking text. It really is the hardest thing to do…set work aside. I think cuz I do really love it and it is such a huge part of my life. Okay, it is almost my life.

I signed up Joe tonite for the CHASA Retreat in July and I went to check out their chat room only to find the MIA Jayne’s Yahoo Group. I was a Jayne when I sold on Ebay long ago, okay only 5-6 years ago. I remember at the time I was crazy doing art fairs and decided to put some stuff on my website to sell. Ya, it sat their for weeks so I put a few things on ebay and got introduced to the whole custom boutique groups. I had the computer in my bedroom at the time and many times David would look up at 2am to see the blue glare of the screen. I think I was addicted to chatting. So dang fun. So addicting. I miss that.

Alrighty, so excited to be home but even more so to go into 435 tomorrow and see what fabrics the UPS man has brought. I can hardly wait to start cutting….

Glad you guys have fun! You need a break! It gives your juices time to get juicier! ha! I’m about to enjoy our spring break in a week and I can’t wait! Can’t wait to see what you start cutting and creating with your new fabrics!!! AH! Hope you don’t release all the new goodies when I’m on spring break!!

Believe it or not, eBay is where I remember you from the most. Every time I say that’s where I discovered you it’s ALWAYS followed with “I didn’t know she sold on eBay.”. It was way back when I first started selling “custom boutique” myself. Oh, those were the days…

Wow. I can so relate. I run a swim school, sports camp in the summer, non profit to fight childhood obesity, plus a free Bootcamp at my house 6 mornings a week. I’m always on my phone emailing, calling or texting. It is so hard not to. I’m a mom of 5 as well. I have 2 girls who love MJ. We need to find a vacation spot with no cell service- lol.
I’m glad someone can relate.

Glad to hear that you got some rest at the beach! Now you will be more inspired for Ar Fair! I got sunburned one time on my scalp, it was horrible. When it peeled I looked like I had dandruff. :(
