Q: Hey there, you know the drill. Tell us your basic info.
A: My name is Tracie Ramsey. I am 31 years old. I am an only child. I received my undergraduate and graduate degree in education from Appalachian State University. I have been teaching for 9 years. I am currently teaching kindergarten. I have been married for six years.
Q: I always love to hear how people met and fell in love with their spouse. Do share.
A: I moved from Spruce Pine, NC to Marion, NC for a teaching position. The secretary there begged me to attend her church. After several months, I decided to go one Sunday morning. Immediately following the service, she introduced me to her son’s best friend (now my husband). I was dating another fellow at the time but knew he wasn’t the one for me. I continued to date him for a couple weeks while I was dating my future husband…awful, I know. I finally broke it off with the guy and my husband and I were inseparable after that.
Q: How many kiddos do you have? Give us a little glimpse into who they are.
A: I am currently pregnant with my first child. I do not know the gender yet. :/
Q: How long have you been with Matilda Jane and when did you know you wanted to be a Trunk Keeper?
A: This is my first season as a Trunk Keeper. I have thought about becoming a Trunk Keeper for about a year.
Q: What do you think is the greatest invention of all time?
A: Not really sure…I am grateful for a washer and dryer because I am NOT washing clothes in a river. My husband and I went without heat and air condition for a couple of years when we first got married so I am certainly grateful for heat and air.

Q: What special talent do you wish you possessed?
A: I would love to have a beautiful singing voice.
Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
A: Probably my grandmother. She raised my father by herself while working in a hot dry cleaner. She survived breast cancer along with other surgeries. She had a hard life yet she remained a strong woman and a Christian woman.
Q: If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would that be and where would you go?
A: This is a difficult question. If she was still alive I would love to eat with Jackie Kennedy to discuss her fashion. I would also love to have dined with Princess Diana, but I guess Kate Middleton will do. I have never been to Paris so I would love to dine on wine and chocolate with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
Q: What is your favorite time of day and why?
A: My favorite time is of the evening when my husband and I are able to sit on the couch, relax and enjoy our time together.

Q: What is your favorite family tradition?
A: Thanksgiving is probably my favorite tradition. My mother and I watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade every year. We work on the meal and pig out with friends and family. My mother always has the house decorated perfectly.
Q: Which TV family is most like your own?
A: I am from a very small, quiet family so there’s not really a television family that is like my family.
Q: Are you a country mouse or city mouse?
A: When I was younger I thought I was a city mouse. As I have grown up, I realize that I am more of a country mouse. I like the peace and quiet of the country instead of the hustle and bustle of the city.
Q: Good Hart is such a special place to Denise. What town holds a special place in your heart?
A: Sedona, Arizona is probably my favorite city. I have visited there several times. Each time I am in awe of the beauty of the views. My husband and I also spent our honeymoon there.
