Catwalk

Before I go go into all things Matilda Jane, I just have to confess that I am distracted by some of my favorite shows….any guesses?????

“My Secret Obsession” and “Life of a Hoarder”.

I probably shouldn’t have admitted that, but I am so distracted this will take me twice as long to blog.

I am such a clean freak so maybe that is why I enjoy these shows, who knows.

I  don’t really collect anything either, well………….. unless shoes count. Do they?

Speaking of shoes, I might have to sell them all.

I was up SUPER late one night googling “houses for sale” in Fort Wayne, and came across my dream home.

I just moved into my house 2.5 years ago so never anticipated to fall in love with anything.

Oh man, I was so wrong!!!!!!!!

For those that know me, I am the type of person who loves a challenge and can not easily put thoughts aside once I fall in love.

I have only seen the house from the outside, but tomorrow Alicia’s husband Josh will take me for a walk through.

I am so nervous yet so excited.

Okay enough of my personal life, I am so boring compared to the “all things Matilda Jane” I mentioned before.

This past Saturday was the Habitat for Humanity Tea that we have sponsored for the 3rd year now.

Mindy did such a great job organizing all of the decor and Matilda Jane fashion show.

She even brought her fiance Jay to photograph the  fashion show.

THANK YOU JAY AND MINDY!

How cute are all of these girls?

I hope you recognize the face above, this is Sara Spitler’s (a Matilda Jane Trunk Keeper) niece Jaidyn,

who was in a horrific car accident last year with her sister Neilah and Sara’s daughter Audrey and sister in law.

It was heart warming to see her walk down the cat walk with a big smile on her face.

What was equally amazing was knowing her sister Neilah was in the audience to cheer her on.

This is a strong family who have been through so much, and I enjoyed seeing them come together, even for something as simple as a fashion show.

(Audrey Spitler)

I also want to thank my friend Rachel over at Wayne TV for showing the event some love on the news.

We love Habitat for Humanity and love seeing that so many others feel the same way.

I am going to end it with this pic, because like I thought, this blog has taken me too long.

One last thing, and you have to promise you will not forget!

The online Habitat Auction is coming up next week.

All you have to do it go to the Hyena Cart website on May 1st at 12:30 pm and start your bidding.

I have a goal of $10,000 and there is no doubt in my mind we will hit it.

You ladies always amaze me with your support and I hope this time is no different.

Trust me though, you will not want to miss it. There are not only Matilda Jane goodies of all kinds,

but we have gotten some great items from Paperlili, Snazzie Drawers, Melamoose, and even a wedding package from the

LOVELY Michelle from Untamed Heart Photography. Love that girl!!!!

And did I mention that is all goes to a GREAT cause!!!!!

GOODNIGHT Y’ALL

XOXO

Kayla

OMG! You are going to really see the house! That is wicked cool! If you are going to dream … Dream BIG!! Is it empty? Just sitting there waiting for you? So different from your house now… You gotta update!

Well it wasn’t. Simple as that. McLaren had maybe the 4th or 5th fastest car today. Not worthy of a podium.
