I don’t know who really believes the words “Big Girls Don’t Cry” because I’m a 22 year old woman and I cry with the best of them. I cried this morning, I cried last night, and I’ve cried countless times throughout the You&Me journey. I have never looked at crying as a weakness, I guess. Plus my mom is the best at it; she will call me up and I’ll ask her how her day is going and she’ll say “Oh, it’s going well…I had a good cry today”. And it almost makes me laugh at her, but I DO totally get it.
And that brings me to today, the launch of the super anticipated Fall 2011 You&Me Collection. Wow, can you say nervosa? Denise and I have been working on this line since August 2010 and I think we’ve had this nervosa-ness in us for a year! And today, well, today was the perfect time for a “good cry” as my mom would put it. I think when you put so much of yourself into something, when you put so much of your time, energy, and heart into something. it’s the scariest feeling to release it to the masses. Like, it’s not just our secret baby anymore. And yes, it’s true, when we design we try to keep everything as quiet as possible. It’s hard to be sure of yourself and the decisions you want to make when you have opinions from 10 other people, ya know? I guess it all boils down to confidence. I’m gonna figure out that confidence thing sooner or later, I promise.

One thing I AM confident of is what a great experience You&Me has been for me; from start to finish. For Denise too I think. The photo shoot with all of our favorite pals was simply perfect. I emphasize the SIMPLE part. Loved that about it. The visits to China were insane, incredible, amazing, unforgettable, seriously rewarding… I can’t say enough good stuff about our ladies there. One thing I need to tell you about them, they are TOTAL huggers. Would you think that?? I remember when I first met my Iris (she is Pan’s sister-in-law!). She picked us up at our hotel and she hugged Lynette and Denise, but when it came to me (me being the most awkward American ever, plus we never met before!) we fumbled over this half hug/half handshake/weird patting each other on the back motion. It was hilarious, and if you know me or even MET me, you can imagine how it went down. I’m smiling just thinking about it. Oh! And bringing Carla on to perfect sizing and quality? What a stunning decision on Denise’s part. We needed that beautiful Peruvian.

435 has never, ever been so full of inventory. Like more than we’ve ever had. We have every room packed with You&Me which means lucky you, right? Crossing my fingers. Toes too. And now, Denise and I wait. We wait to hear it from the office, we wait to read it on our Facebook, we wait to hear it directly from you.
In the meantime, why don’t we distract ourselves with a contest? Leave a comment with your full name, your best friends name, and what makes you two, together, a force to be reckoned with!
LOVE, SAM

My sister, Jenny is my best friend. We make the perfect pair because we compliment each other so well. I am the peanut butter and she is the jelly. I’m the sensitive one and she is the stong one. We’re always there for each other and always will be! <3
I’m Jayme Lim and my best friend is my sister Danielle. Let’s just say that we got married 3 months apart it was the craziest planning ever…fast forward 9 years and we put the same gusto into our children’s wardrobes and birthday parties! There is no one else who understands phone calls with our Mom or why it’s so important to RSVP!!
My best friend Melanie and I are a force to be reckoned with because no matter what, we’ve got each other’s back. If it’s to listen, to cry with, to hug it out, to dish, to shop … no matter … we always are there for each other and having something you can count on like that, well, it’s absolutely priceless.
Kimbo & Bridgette When we are together, no one or nothing else matters.
I am Abby Baldwin and my best friend is my mom, Lani Bonaldi. We are so close, talk daily and I always know she has my back. She knows when to tell me to chill out and laughs with me or cries with me regularly!! I cherish every conversation, good or bad!!
Cassie Spencer and Dannielle Wright. We have been the best girlfriends for going on 10 plus years and we can turn any boring dull moment into instant fun! Shopping together is the best we are fashion superheros!
Hello, my name is Sarah….
My Best Friend EVA is named Misty!
We are a force to be reckoned with because we are thick (like close..not like fluffy:)! And, we are FUN, we have great kids that we center our lives around!
Tara Bernier is my bestie. Everyone refers to her as my other half. We truly are opposites but she really is my right wing. She is my other half!
amy graber / paula yoder / we are just 2 of a kind that love to have a good time!
My name is Litsa Taylor and my best friend is Amy Taylor. We both married men with no relationship to each other and now we share the same last name. Crazy! We’re a force to reckoned with because she’s always there for me. To listen, to help with my children (just had a baby girl), and to help with fashion. She’s also loves the Lord and that’s why I love her!
Me: Alison Jackson
My BFF: Kim Montoya
We are so much alike on so many levels, yet SO opposite on a few, too. We’ve NEVER lived in the same city, and yet I know she will be my very best friend forever. When we talk on the phone, it’s like we’re sitting together having a cup of coffee. And when we’re together?! Our strengths and weaknesses perfectly balance each other out, creating a force of friendship only few will know. We could easily conquer the world!
My name is Lindsey Jordan and my best friends name is Courtney! She and I have been best friends for 15 years, she is my rock, my sounding bored, my gossip partner, by everything. She is the one I can call and tell her that my kids are driving me insane and she won’t judge me, or that I think a divorce is in order, but know that I am just exaggerating
I love her and my world wouldn’t be the same without her!! Sadly, for the last 7 years, we have lived thousands of miles a part, and are lucky to see other once a year. I miss her, and love her and know that no matter the miles, we are always there for each other!
I am more in love with the mom pieces in this line than in any other. I seriously wanted to spend more money on myself this time. I NEVER do that! I always decide what works best for my kids and take the leftovers. This release made me want almost ALL of the pieces!! You outdid yourselves! I am in LOVE!!!! I may actually look better than my kids for the first time ever!
My name is Amelia my BFF is Lindsay and I am 27 and had 4 kids in 4 years and she is about to have her 4th! I teach dance fitness classes and stay at home and she does too! together we have a whole brood! We pride ourselves on always being in style and having fabulously fixed up kids and taking on any task at hand! thats why were a force to be reckoned with! thanks!!pick me!
It’s me and Nicole Stone. We’re an unlikely combination of ying and yang, conservative and liberal, yet we’re crazy enough for each other to keep our long distance friendship strong with daily phone calls on my way to and from work and lots of text messages and IM’s during the day. Now that we’re both momma’s it’s a new chapter with the littles.
I LOVE the new You&Me collection. You guys should be nothing but confident! My BF, Carrie, and I are a perfect match because she is cool, calm, collected, always in control…me, on the other hand, Type A across the board…amped up, firery, stubborn and ready to hit things straight on. Together…we are a perfect balance!
My best friend and I have been through everything together!! Marriages, kids, all of the big things and all of the little things too! Together we laugh and cry-A LOT! We laugh so hard sometimes we cry! LOL She is like a sister to me! She always says “It’s you and me girl!”
Love that!! Love that the new line is named YOU AND ME! Wendy Hutchison. Kristina is my friend. Thanks Sam loved your post!
My name is Shannon Mercer-Diemont and bestie is Erica Thompson. From the first time we met, I just KNEW that I was going to make her my friend. It was a feeling, like seeing someone you haven’t seen in awhile, but better. She fit a spot in my life that was missing, like the last puzzle piece. I love this gal. She makes me smile until it hurts, laugh until I cry, and always there when I need her. She is my soul sister. I can go on and on about her. Our kids are best friends too. She is moving in only a few short weeks which breaks my heart, but I know that we will always be friends, through thick and thin. People that are put into your life like that can never be forgotten or replaced.
LOVE this new line…. stunning, amazing! My name is Kristi Mangan… my BFF is Mindy Copenhaver. We call ourselves “Trixie and Dixie” and whenever we are together we have the best, hands-down, pee-your-pants-laughing-so-hard good time! We are a force to be reckoned with when we team-teach 2nd grade together (our students are the bomb diggity and we have so much fun teaching them)… We laugh, we love, we listen… I don’t know where I’d be without my best friend Mindy! <3
Melissa Scamuffa and Michelle Young are the best of friends because we totally get each other. It’s like we are sisters. We always come out friends no matter what and nothing ever gets in the way of our friendship.
Tara Bernier is my bestie. Everyone refers to her as my other half. We however are complete opposites but she is definitely my right wing. She truly is my other half.
amanda richards and bff meghan russo <3 She has been my shoulder to cry on for years and vice versa. Even though we are states apart I love her more and more everyday. Together we have accomplished many things. Like her infertility and my "Big Move" just having each other to talk to has made us stronger.
My best friend is Kelly Reeves, I have been friends with her for 18 years. We can finish each others sentence, we can listen to each other without judgement and we just get each other. If I need anything ever she is my girl and vise versa!
My best friend of 17 years (! gah! am I really old enough to have a friend for that long?) is Bethany. Even though we have been separated by a thousand miles for the last 12 years we still make it a priority to see each other at least twice a year. And when we do- watch out! We are expert shoppers and relaxers, but the best is that we can be totally honest with each other and we never fail to laugh at ourselves!
My name is Gena and my bff’s name is Rachel. We have been best friends since high school and now 20 years later we know just what each other is thinking and when the other one needs a little lifting up or settling down. I could go months without seeing each other but that is ok because when we are together its like we never skipped a beat!
Sarah Johnson and Erin Oconnel; She always lets me be me (and we are both good shoppers which helps:)
My very bestest friend is Susan K. I love her because she doesn’t judge. She hugs, she backs me up, she loves me, she even lectures me…but she always has my back. You just can’t buy that kind of friendship. I told my teenage girls that someday they will have that kind of friendship, and when they do…cherish it. I know I do.
My name is Sarah Bowen Lewis and my MJ BFF is Becca Atkins Stumbo. I am a conservative preppy type in my 40′s with two teens and a 6 year old and she is a young, gorgeous, liberal self proclaimed hippie in her 30′s with a 6 year old daughter.
We both share the unfortunate role of being single moms trying to hold our lives together with interlocking paperclips… it seems to be working since every time we get together, we spend the time laughing until we pee at our nutty girls becoming friends and then wrestling them to bed for some grown up girls time! We have different tastes in clothes, men and politics but it never matters… our bond is measured less in what makes us different and more in what makes us smile! We also share the common bond of our little girls coming into our lives by way of adoption… truly a miracle! Our girls nights never happen enough as we live in different cities…
We both LOVE Matilda Jane clothes on our girls and love contests!!!
Michelle Clark is my name and my best friend is my younger sister, Lanah. We are certainly a force to be reckoned with because we have so much fun together! We work on projects together, cry together, play together and fight together. There is so much energy when we are in the same room. We are constantly striving to foster a culture of SOCIAL CHANGE, not just in talk, but in action. We’ve got big plans…. we, in the words of Madonna (or was it Lady Gaga?), are going to conquer the world – in a good way!
BTW, the line is just perfect. Bold and beautiful. Your skill and creativity amazes me. I bought way too much! Thanks!
My name is Melissa Allesi and my best friend is my sister Lisa Terrell, we have always been thick as thieves! We are only a year and a half apart so we were always in things together.
We are a force to be reckoned with for a lot of reasons but one is that we can always finish each others thoughts so going up against us, whether it be in a game or a “discussion” is never an easy task! We feed off of each other in a good way!
I couldn’t imagine my life without my little sister!!
My name is Anna Lynch and my friend’s is Crystal. We are a lot alike, but yet so different. I guess that is why we get along so well! We are both extremely competitive, so watch out if we both set our mind to the same thing! I am so thankful for her!
Oh, this is easy… my best friend is my 4 year old daughter, Mackenzie. She always keeps me in check and she gives me such joy. That girl has a sense of humor!! She has an opinion on everything and doesn’t miss a beat. I don’t neccesarily think I have much to do with it, but she alone, is something else. I have no doubt that she will accomplish great things in her future and I hope to be by her side every step of the way.
**I also want to add, I’m a “crier” too and I appreciate that you said that it’s not a sign of weakness. I firmly hold that belief as well.
My name is Carrie Miranda, my BFF since elementry school is Brittnie Stalie, ‘partners in crime’ is what we used to call ourselves while belting out Crazy by Aerosmith, driving around with the windows down music up, ready to take on the world. Now both married with kids(she just had her first girl so we finally get to share the MJ love!), we never could have dreamed our lives would have so much meaning. I couldn’t imagine life’s journey with out her!
Hmmm what makes me and my best friend,a force. My name is Gidget Gayle Fenwick,I would have to say that my best friend was and always will be my sister Christy Lynn Caraway. But she is gone to be with the Lord since 8/6/07. So now I give that best friend honor to my beloved husband…Terry Shane Fenwick. We are a solid rock of love, friendship, laughte, memories and looking forward to more. What makes us a force…the love and seeing eye to eye about what LIFE is all about. Thanks for a chance.:)
My name is Sarah Cartwright. My best friend is McKenna Anne Cartwright. She is my 4 year old, full of spunk and personality. Together we are unstoppable. We can conquer any problem big or small. We can rule the world together!
Girl Power!
My name is Debbie. My friend’s name is Bethann. We’ve been friends for 20 years, when I had her second oldest in kindergarten. We each tend to get distracted from our intended path, alone. Together, We keep each other honest and headed in the right direction. We used to see each other every day, but 7 yrs. ago I moved. Keeping each other on track is a bit more difficult now, but w/facebook and an occassional phone call, we’re still together. We actually get to see each other once a year for a really good hug. I’m so thankful for my friend, who is actually a lot like a sister could be…I don’t happen to have one of those.
You and Me is beautiful!!!
My name is Stacy Hill, my best friend is Heather. We have known each other since sophmore year in high school. We are a force to be reckoned with because we are both strong willed, independent successful women who have had each others backs for more then a decade. Through boyfriends, college, living in different states, babies etc.. Some days we are there to cry it out, others we are their to vent it out. Good times, rough times, we are there together.
Can’t wait to check it all out! My best friend since 2nd grade is Courtney. We’ve been through it all from elementary school through h.s. and even college. Boyfriends, breakups, makeups, weddings, babies, and we love every minute(almost every minute) of it. Now we lead two very different lives-I’m a stay at home mom and she’s a physician’s assistant-doesn’t get much different than that but its nice to always know there’s someone there for you. And when we get together its like we’ve never been apart!
My best friend, Lily, and I met in college, and have that bond of sharing every day with one another, the way you can’t replicate with anyone you meet after that point in your life. We live on opposite ends of the country now, and apart, we both have our insecurities (that we share with eachother over the phone), but whenever we are in the same place, we come together to form this magnetic force of confidence, attacting everyone we meet to interact with our duo.
My bff and I have been bff’s for 20 years now… meeting in college. We can go 6 months without talking (not that we ever would) and when we talk feels like yesterday. I could go on and on, but I would start crying and since I’m in the dentist office right now, I probably shouldn’t. I love her, I miss her, and people hate being next to us after we’ve had a couple drinks!
Isn’t that what a true bff is for? At least WE think we’re funny…. and unhateable!
I am Kayla, I am outspoken, clumsy, and I don’t have a shy bone in my body. My best friend Ren, is the total opposite. She is shy, elegant, and so very graceful. I think we complement each other perfectly and together we can almost always come up with the perfect solution to any issue that might come our way because she has what I lack and vice versa. Also we have this amazing type of friendship…the kind where we are always in sync whether we were just together last night or last year. It is amazing.
My best friend’s name is Elaine. We have known each other all my life, because she is my big sister. We look alike, think alike, and are pasionate about the same things. Of course, we didn’t always get along so fabulously when we were younger.. haha!! But now, we are certainly a force to be reckoned with!
Wendy Riley
ps I think the new fall release is wonderful!! I love the colors and styles. You girls should be very proud of yourselves!! I think you will be pleased with the reaction of the masses
pss I am a “free cryer” also! haha
My friend, Rebecca Ramanand and I are a force to be reckoned with at our elementary school because she is the organized one and I’m the creative one. I’m the serious one and she is wild and crazy. I’m the spender and she is the coupon queen, thrify one. We are opposites but we go together like ice and diet coke or cake and ice cream. When we work together, our personalities complement each other and make the experience for both the kids and us more rewarding. We both have 6 year old daughters who are opposite as their mothers but who are the best of friends.
We have one thing that is the same– our love for Matilda Jane and how it makes our daughters looked loved, unique and so dang on cute!
Thank you for the beautiful You and Me line! You did a great job!
Sincerely,
Amy Dawson
My best friend Katy and I live down the street from eachother and it is so awesome! We support eachother in our weight loss endeavors, but also splurge together!
On our weekly Project Runway nights, I walk down to her house after the kids are in bed (& my hubby stays home with mine) and we have yummy beverages & snacks and we just soak up our time together. We get eachother out of the house on our many bike rides… sometimes with no makeup and our sweats…. we can just be US. No explanations, no excuses. Just REAL. Love it.
Oh and you know what else I love about Katy? No drama! Love.
my best friend’s name is Sarah. She lives 1300 miles away from me and hates to fly, so in the seven years we’ve been friends, we’ve burned out telephone batteries and filled email inboxes with our pretty-much constant chatter. We make most of our decisions together and when we are together, we are pretty well dangerous with a Betsey Johnson shop and a credit card. We might not be an unstoppable force, but we are so totally mentally synced, that we could probably outtalk and outsmart anyone who tried to come between us.
my full name – amanda lynn clark
my best friends name – rachel weaver
what makes us a force to be reckoned with – we bring out the best in each other… we totally GET each other… we balance each other out. together we can take anything in stride. isn’t that what best friends do?
Oh, girlies you have outdone yourself!! I have been clicking refresh since this morning to see the woman’s line. Not that my daughter doesn’t look cute in her MJC, but I LOVE it for myself. Now that I have declared that I am done with the baby thing (4 babes in less than 6 years), it is time for an update to the wardrobe. The MJC colors this season are my colors!!! You know how you have certain colors you gravitate to when you go to the store, yup, these are it for me.
My bestie (Jill) she is having #4 early this fall. She lives clear on the other side of the USA, but when we get together it is like no time has passed. We can go 6 months without being able to talk with each other (time zones and 4 small kids making phone convos tricky) and when I hear her voice I feel instant comfort and understanding. Our conversations always include lots of laughter and talk about our kids!
Kudos to your girls for another great season of MJC!
Ooops..my smart phone isn’t so smart! My name is Kristi Schmidt and my bff is Lisa Clucas!
Hopefully this one can get sent!
Ana Rosa Esteves-Amaro…my best friend is truely my mother Fernanda Fatima Esteves. I would have to say us two together is def. a force to be reckened with in many ways. She has taught me to be strong…what I want to be in a mother and yet a best friend to my own daughter. She is amazing, she came from a country across the ocean (Portugal) not knowing any English with my two sisters to meet my father who worked 2 jobs for a year to get them here. She taught herself english by watching television and has worked in a very rough factory for over 30 years. While pregnant with me her water broke at 5 months and started bleeding. She was told to abort me but refused. She continued working hard and had me 2 months later. She said she always knew I was something special and would never let me go. I cam in at 2 pounds and was in the hospital for the first year of my life…but that did not stop my mother or father to take all 5 kids every weekend on the long journey to see me. My mother says God gave her a miricale and a best friend who she loves very much. My mom is truely an amazing mother but also my best friend who I owe more then words can decribe. I call her every day just to say hi because I know I am blessed treuly with the best friend a girl can ask for. And what is that you just said about crying…now I am crying! Not sad tears but tears of happiness for the decision my mother made to keep me even though they said I there was no hope for me. She gave me life and allowed me to be a mother the best gift a mother could ask for. I want to be just like my best friend! I love you mommy always and forever. Thank you MJC for allowing me to get that all out…never have dine that before.
You girls at MJC are truely amazing and I love that we get to express ourselves on your blogs!
Jaimee Merino+ Maegan Mallory= Mixed Load of Laundry
We are complete opposites in every way from parenting, careers, to marital issues. With that being said we never have a dull moment. Maegan and I can have the best day even if we never leave the house! A BEST friend that I can always count on even if we don’t always see eye to eye!!
My best friend is Dena Thompson. We talk about everything together; from the good to the bad. We work together and we play together. Our kids love eachother too. They were born two weeks apart and live two states apart but love to be together. I tell her everything and we accept the quirks we each have. I try to talk to her somehow everyday because she is my grounding force.
I have to say my husband, Mark, is my best friend. We have been through a lot together raising a daughter with many serious health problems. But by sticking together and working as a team, we have pushed through with confidence and never faltered. I could not have gotten through these years without him and without his strength to lean on. He is my rock. He makes me laugh and we can finish each others’ sentences. We’re a match made in heaven!
Me – Hope Boyce
BFF – Michael Boyce
I know it’s a cliché, but my husband is my best friend! He has my back – always! I have his back – always! My first husband dumped me for his secretary when I was feeling the angst of turning … 30 = cliché x2 (turning 30 and getting dumped for your younger husband’s secretary)! I came with a lot of baggage … and two kids … he came with a lot of baggage … and 2 kids …we merged all the baggage … and the 4 kids … and we had 1 more kid! Now we have 5 grown kids … 4 grown in-law kids … 11 granddkids (2 yrs to 10 yrs) … a dog … and Roxy (his Harley). Together we have reared an incredible family, traveled the world, and gotten rid of all that baggage!! Best Friends Forever!
My name is Laura Davidson and my best friend’s name is Carrie-Nell Jessop. Our husbands are best friends (long before we knew each other), so it seemed fated from the beginning that we should be pals. When our friendship started over 8 years ago, we lived states away, and eventually we lived across an ocean for each other. We learned how to have a beautiful friendship through emails and photos, and when we would get to see each other (2 or 3 times a year at most) we would laugh because we would unknowingly wear the same sweater or pair of earrings. We are so similar in taste, even from so far away.
Thankfully, she has since moved back to the states, and we now live only an hour and half from each other, in the same state even! Even though we both have babies to keep us busy, we make time to spend together, play dates and mommy time, and I am so blessed to know her. She encourages me and challenges me!
My cousin, Paige, and I are best friends despite the 9 year difference in our ages. She is my favorite person to share new things with, my favorite person to have a good laugh with, and a person that I want my children to know and love as well! With two kids, I don’t get wild like I once did, but I can re-live everything with Paige.
My best friend is my husband, Jeremy. We are a force to be reckoned with because we don’t let anything, or anyone take priority over our relationship….well, except for the occasional demands of those cute kids of ours
Jaclyn Underwood
my name is corrie owens. my bff’s name is elizabeth mcgarity. we are in the exact same phase of life with 9 children between the 2 of us! we have each other to lean on at any time, for any issue, with no judgement. sounding boards and support for one another, always! everyone needs a friend like that…without each other, i am sure we would go crazy
I’m Amie Lillie and my best friend, Bonnie, and I have been BFFs since we were 5. We’re 30 now, so this is a hardcore friendship that has stood the test of time. We have grown apart and come back together again a number of times, kind of like the tide coming in and out, but what makes us a force to be reckoned with is how we always come back to eachother with the same trust and heart as always. Oh, and not only do we have the exact same smile (it’s kind of creepy, actually) and we’re the only people I’ve ever known who will laugh and cry at the same time and not know why. Man, thanks Sam for giving me the opportunity to remind myself how much I love that girl!
My name is Ashley Harris and my bestie is denise jibben. We have known each other since the fourth grade- so 14 years worth of friendship, bickering like sisters, marriage, divorce, and births of children all wrapped into memories I will never forget but always cherish. She has a 3 yr old little boy and 9month old little girl and I have a 2 yr old little girl. I’m so thankful to have her in my life and I sure hope the same for our children. We are pb&j, salt & pepper, Matilda & Jane… We just go together. Couldn’t imagine a day without her.
My full name is elizabeth Anne Reagan but have gone by Betsy since I was five. My bffs name is Ann pereira. Between the two of us we have 8 almost 9 kids, with that alone we are force to be reckoned with… We hangout together with our kids, with our husbands, but our best times together is once a week holding each other accountable in life and in our relationship with God… She encourages, listens, and spurs me on to love Christ more.
My name is Jennifer. My best friend is Vicky. We are a perfect pair because we can talk every day about nothing or go weeks without chatting and pick up where we left off. It is never a contest. There is never blame. Just companionship and grace.
Hi, My name is Amy Hilley and my best friend is Carrie Fowler. We have been friends since the awkward preteen years. We have been through a lot together. It used to be break-ups and parties, now it’s marriage, kids, adoption, infertility, you name it. Recently I was going to be a surrogate for her, but God had other plans. Insurance denied it and she got pregnant of her 5th IVF attempt! I just love her and we love dressing our 4 girls (soon to be 5!!) in Matilda Jane.
Katie Richardville and my best friend is Michelle Standard. We have been BFF since college, and we have been through so much together. Her mom passing away, getting married, Michelle’s struggles with infertility followed by her diagnosis of breast cancer, and me having kids while she is dealing with her losses. And despite everything, she is always happy for me. We live a state away, but burn the phone lines constantly. And my two little ones have the best “aunt” ever. Love her! She is such a true friend.
My BFF and I share so many strong interests! We’ve been through a lot together, had babies at practically the same time! She is the best person I know to go to for advice!
I LOVE her dearly!!!!
Nicole Marie Poest
my bff is Leigha
My name is Kelly Agnew and my best friend is Dawn Holder. Our daughters are best friends and we share a love of fashion and humor.
Laura L. Angelly and Misty M. Harness … WE are a force to be reckoned with because we each know that the other is simply there. Maybe not in the same room or even the same city, but just knowing that you have such a true and wonderful person out there that loves you no matter what and builds you up to be better than you ever thought you could be. That “force” cannot be bought. That “force” is an incredible blessing from God that has been cultivated for over 36 years. That “force” grows every day whether or not we even get to talk… it makes us stronger and makes us step a little lighter and smile a little brighter in good times and bad. I love you, Misty!!!
One of my besties, beside my husband, is my friend, Michelle. We have known each other for over 15 years. We have the kind of friendship that is always the same no matter how much time has passed. If we go long breaks because life gets in the way, it does not matter. When we get together, it’s always like we’re right back in the dorm room…we just don’t make grilled cheese in a sandwich maker anymore. But we do dream about it! She’s so much my best friend that I ended up marrying a man just like her. They’re like twins, separated at birth! We share so many points of views that we never have to explain ourselves and neither of us takes crap from anyone! I love our dynamic!
My name is Stacey & my bff is my sister Shelley. She is older & wiser of course, but we know eachother through & through. I am the younger will do anything kind of girl. We totally balance eachother out. We secretly can’t wait til we are really old & we can live together again – 2 senile sisters. (we don’t plan on offing our kids or hubbys – women in our family seem to last the longest hee hee)
My best friend is Tiffany Bilbe. Between us we have 9 kids (I have 4 and she has 5!) All between the ages of 8 and 1. We do lots of outings with all the kids- from swimming pools, parks and restaurants to Sea World and the rodeo! If that doesn’t make us a force then I don’t know what would! You should see the look on peoples faces when we arrive someplace together! We love eachother and thankfully our kids and husbands feel the same. She’s the best mom and friend in the world! Love her and seriously we have so much fun together!
My best friend’s name is Sarah Miller, you haven’t “met” her yet because she is waiting on her beautiful daugher to arrive. From Korea. She should be getting the call any day now and she is thrilled to give her little boy, from Korea also, a sister! We roomed together 3 years in college, not including freshman year but we lived down the hall then. We are a forced to be reckoned with, well because we are more like sisters! That’s right, born less than 2 hours apart, in different parts of the US. We wear the same size, have the same values, have close to the same taste and took the “sister” maid of honor/matron of honor roll in each others weddings. Best of all, even though we don’t see each other much any more, I know that we can pick up exactly where we left off. She is just a precious, beautiful person with such a big heart!
My name is Jamie Scott and I would have to say my best friend is Rachel Watts. Wow…weird but I never realized she was my best friend until you ask the question. Shes not just a friend, she is family. She is my sister n law and she is amazing. We are like “substitute moms” to each others families when one of us can’t be available. She is a 2nd mom to my children and sometimes I think they would prefer her over me
We know it will always be ok when life throws a curve our way, because the other one is always ready, willing, and available to do whatever we need to turn the curve ball into a home run pitch!!! Between the 2 of us and our 7 children, we just make things work. From car pools and hectic schedules to clothing our kids and fitting dinner into a ridiculously busy day, together we manage to make it happen. Love her!!
My name is Dorien, my best friend is Amy. She became my best friend when her dad died suddenly and I kept calling her to make sure she was OK. She said I was the only person to keep checking on her. I let her cry and cry. She got to repay the favor when my dad died this spring. Love is the binding glue of our friendship. Well, that and a few tears. Both happy and sad.
My twin sister, Allie Schellhammer, and I, Ashley Culbertson, are sisters, but more than that, we are the best of friends. We’ve been inseparable since birth and I can’t imagine life without her. We used to fight about silly things and then before we knew it we’d be laughing and giggling because there is just no staying mad at each other!! We’ve done everything together–every grade in school, college, sorority, sports–everything. We got married nine months apart and now live in the same city. We each have two girls (the four cousins are only a few months apart in age) and we are both expecting babies and are experiencing pregnancy together once more. I would say we are a “force to be reckoned with” because we know each other so very well that we often know what the other is thinking or about to say and that can frighten some of our other friends!!
My BFF is Kris and we have been a force to be reckoned with for 25+ years! (Oh my! I. Am. Old.) We met in jr. high and became fast friends. We had tons of fun together in HS and college and even got into a little mischief along the way. Our later college years brought a hiatus in our friendship as being roommates with your BFF brought a whole slew of opportunities to grow in different directions. A few years after graduation we re-connected and have been joined happily at the hip ever since. It is so wonderful to have my BFF in my life to share our famlies, our dreams, and our days!!
My best friend is Nancy and we have been best friends for probably 35 years! We go waaayyy back. We have been best friends for so long because we can say anything to each other in safety and confidence. We may not always agree or approve of what the other does, but are always there for each other to support each other no matter what. She is a treasure to me and I could not do life without her.
My mom, Cindy is my best friend. She is my other half. We are a force to be recokned with because we are both very strong willed women. We balance each other out where she has her strengths I have my weakness & vice versa. We can finish each other thoughts. Their is indescriable bond between a mother & daughter.I heard a lyric in a song & it says it perfectly,” Always remember, there is nothing worth sharing like the love that let us share our name.” I am in love with the fall line. Way to go Sam & Denise. You are obviously the perfect mix.
My name is Tleshia Adams Farrar, my BFF is Missy Grimes. We started our friendship by the ways of jealousy over my Hello Kitty “stuff” way back in the third grade!!!! We have been non-blood sisters ever since. We lived with each other in college, supported and stood at maid (or maid-tron) of honor in each others weddings, spend a week at each others houses after the birth of each baby, take annual weekend scrapbook getaways just the two of us, and still talk on the phone every week. Just last night she met me for dinner and listened to me cry about not my husband and I not being able to find jobs, having to live with my parents, and just about how “stinky” stuff is right now. She listened and cried along with me. (SO I KNOW ALL ABOUT A GOOD CRY) Then we wiped the tears away and went to Target to by her baby a pack of diapers, TRUE BEST FRIEND stuff! It is so fun to see our girls who are a year apart from each other playing and wanting to “stay a little longer”!!! I totally imagine us gray headed and attending our children and by God’s Grace, their children’s weddings together. What a true blessing from God to have her on my side!!!
I would have to say my husband is my best friend. He is the ying to my yang. I guess it is good for the worry wort to marry the eternal optimist. I have friends but I can truly be myself with him. Angie Bass and Jimmy Bass
My best friend’s name is Becky. We get each other and can totally be ourselves around each other. What more could you ask for?
Aimee Socha & Perry Barry – We finish each other’s sentences. We know what each other are thinking even before we can finish saying it! When are husbands are deployed, we eat at each other’s houses (easy when you live next door) and our kiddos play so well together. I don’t know what I’ll do without her as the air force just moved her to DC!
My name is Amy and my BFF is Allison. We live miles apart but have been BFF for almost 17 years since we met and dropped out of our sorority together 16 years ago
We are total opposites-me the free spirit, spacey one…and her the organized, planned anal one but together we make an amazing team. Even though we are miles apart, we got married at the same time, kids the same ages, etc. etc (i know cheesy) There is nothing we wouldn’t do for each other and I am so lucky to have her in my life!!!
My BF is my sister Sharon. It’s pretty simple – it’s the two of us against six brothers. How could we not be friends?
My best friend would have to be my sister, Abby Petzoldt. In so many was we are complete opposites and that is what makes us so strong. She has always been there and is always my support she is the first person I think to call when good or bad happens. She makes me see different perspectives and I would trust her with anything! Plus she is the one that introduced me to Matilda Jane
Now we are enjoying getting matching stuff for our girls
And I meant to say ” getting dumped for your husband’s younger secretary …”
My name is Erin Lemish. My best friend is Brenna. She is the sister I needed when I didn’t have my own sister. I am the sister she never had. We love each other’s kids and get mad at each other’s husbands. She’s alot my complete opposite but mostly the one who brings out my best stuff. I can’t imagine doing this life without her!
My name is Allison H. and my best friend is my mother Mariette. We live two blocks apart and do everything together- traveling, dining, shopping (especially for MJ!). I now have a two year old daughter and it is amazing how by having a child you start to understand how much your mother loves you. Our friendship has grown even deeper than I ever imagined since her birth. I know my daughter and I will have the same kind of relationship because of the time the three of us spend together. When I was young I wanted to move a long ways from home. Moving back home two blocks away from my childhood home was one of the best decisions I ever made. It is a wonderful thing in life when your friends become your family, and your family becomes your friends!! Love you Mom!!!
My BFF is Mary Jane. We teach together, learn together and grow together. She makes my awkwardness funny and I make her procrastination irrelevant. We have been side by side for a decade empowering every student to reach their creative potential! I am excited about starting the next decade of awesomeness in a week!
My name is Becky Mathis and my best friends name is Mary Nelson. We have known each other forever, but we became the best of friends in college. Late nights, cute boys, dorm rooms, more cute boys; there is just something about us together that makes life better! We made our own music video to “GOodbye, Earl.” We have been side by side since, and her craziness and my common sense make us a force to be reckoned with! <3
My Bff is Cindi. I love her to pieces & think we’re a force to be reckoned w/ b/c together we bring out best versions of ourselves. She inspires me to be a better woman, wife, Mama, sister, & friend.
And we both sure love us some MJ!
My name is Charlotte Eccles and my best friend would hands down be my sweet mom, Linda Cooper (with my two girls a close tie for second
) We are a force to be reckoned with because the two of us together have so much love to share and give to others. She has taught me compassion, loyalty, committment, companionship, and tenacity.. I learned all those things from her – we both possess them – and we shine and give others that light
My name is Jessica Reilly and my best friend’s name is Amanda Malone. Between the two of us we have 6 kids so when we are together we are a party of 10 and we are wonderful chaos. She lives in Tennessee and I live in Alabama and though distance is hard and we all stay crazy busy with our families and their schedules, we always pick up right where we left off, as do our children. We’ve shared joy, sadness, births, loss, disappointment, excitement, and craziness! Together, there is nothing we can’t handle without the other..
I’m margaret. My best friend was my mom. She passed away this May. I am iso a best friend, bargain shopper and shoulder to cry on every so often. My husband is not so good at the bargain shopping and trips to the mall.
My name is Jen Wagner, and my best friend is Donna Minzer. We first met in 7th grade, when we were in the same “section” in middle school, and thank goodness it’s been a long-lasting friendship. Through different friendships in high school, different paths in college, and living in different cities now, we can still pick up *exactly* where we left off. I probably shouldn’t write this stuff, but hey kids can be kids………this is the girl who would help me cheat on science tests in 7th grade, helped me put an anonymous note with “edible underwear” from Spencer’s into Tony Lynch’s locker, and vacationed with me every summer at the beach. Most importantly, though, it is thanks to her that I met my husband—the greatest gift anyone could ever give to a person. I feel quite lucky to have met Donna and to have her in my life!
Though I am still relatively new to Matilda Jane, I will say that I can see the heart and soul that went into this release. It seems to be a line that you will either love or hate with little feeling in between. I’m so excited to be a part of the ‘love’ category and to see the beauty in person.
My best friend, as cliche as it sounds, is my ‘little’ sister, Megan. She and I are complete opposites. While I am firmly set in reality with my feet on the ground, she is a dreamer up in clouds. We balance each other out perfectly. She’s been there for me as my bit of hope more times than I can count. And just as often, she’s made me crazy with concern. She’s very much my partner in crime and the other half of my ‘you & me.’
Amy Tippins….my best friend is Jill Johnson. We are a force to be reckoned with because we can laugh together, pray together, cry together, and stick together through it all. even better, not only is she my best friend, she’s my mom!
I’m Carrie Webb and my best friend is Mindy, we have been friends since our parents plopped us down together as infants. I don’t have a biological sister, but if I did, she would be it! We are inseparable, even though we live 10 hours apart now. We grew up going to church together, sewing projects in 4-H, talking on the phone for hours (we still do!), and even were roommates in college. Our latest adventure? We decided to run a Half Marathon together in October, “training” together from 10 hours away and running it together and crossing the finish line, hand in hand! I can’t think of anyone else I would want to do that with. I’m not sure what I would do with out her in my life!
Katie Hall and my best friend is Mandy Cauley. We are 30somethings that can still find joy in life everyday. Pair us together and we act like young teenagers being silly and carefree. WE laugh so hard that the tears run down our leg!!! And it’s a good thing that our daughters are ‘mini-me’s” to keep our spirits alive!
My name is Angie Chastain and my best friend’s name is Kirstie. She has been my best friend since the day she was born, seeing as she is my little sister. We are completely 100% opposites. I over think everything, have a plan for everything, am on time for everything. I never make a decisison without thinking about it forever. She has no plan for anything, is late to everything, and thinks about nothing before doing it. She knows me better than anyone else. I can tell you what she thinking as she can when it comes to me. We don’t always agree on things, but will always forgive each other. Good thing too cause she is not happy with me right now. However, I know that tomorrow things will be good. She is the best!
My BF, Nora, just moved 800 miles away. It was fate when she moved across the street from me 6 years ago and we were pregnant and due one month apart. Our big girls (also BFF’s) were 1 years old too! Although she is far away we still call everyday and we LOVE to share everything. We fell in love with kids clothes (I know, right!) and our bond grew form there! We used to just “be” together all the time. I cold go on, but our lives our so much better having met! I can’t imagine not having her in my life.
My best friend Keali and I began our friendship with breakups. We both had one at the same time. We spent that first summer driving around constantly listening to sappy songs, angry songs, chewing mass quantities of icebreakers gum, and laughing. A lot. We are now both working moms with two kids apiece who never find enough chances to steal a dinner out, but our friendship has not changed much in 15 years. That’s why I am blessed!
My older sister Dara has always been my very best friend. It’s true that you don’t choose your sister, but I’m so very glad that we chose to be best friends. She is the perfectionist and I am the “get it done” girl, so between us we always have the best time! She is there for my kids and the favorite auntie and her girls could be mine. Love them!
Lois Owen and friend Jan Rakickas.Because I am older than most of the people who write on the blog, I have had more years to make and maintain friendships. My mother showed me the value of friends during her life. She has been gone l6 years. For many of those years whenever I visited back “home” I would see people who would tell me how much they still missed my mama and what a wonderful friend she was to them. I feel so fortunate and blessed to have many friends in my life. Friends are treasures that are worth more than gold or silver. They multiply joys and divide the sorrows as we all travel on this journey. Since I need to name one person, it would be Jan. We met on the first day of college (44 years ago). We had the same last names and our backgrounds were similar. After college graduation we never lived close (she in Germany, Texas, Georgia, and now Colorado) but we have stayed in touch and shared our lives with each other. Though I am really a poor technology person I am thankful for the internet and the role that it plays in helping maintain friendships.
Sam, I have already told you but will say again what a great job you did and you go ahead and cry those tears of joy. You “birthed” your first MJC line and it is fantastic!!
My name: Julie Evans
My best friend: My Mother, Linda Eggiman
We may not always see eye-to-eye, but we appreciate and respect the differences we share. She has been there, through the best of times, worst of times, and all the “good cries” in between, for 33 years. Though we are separated by thousands of miles, our hearts couldn’t possibly be any closer. I gave birth to my third baby 4 weeks ago, and she hopped on an airplane to help me with the birth, recovery (from a c-section) and transition … leaving her “home” for 7 weeks. I can’t think of a more selfless individual, woman, mother and friend. I love her to pieces and count my blessings to call her both “Mother” and “best friend.”
Hi! I am Tiffany Page and my best friend is Heather. You know the friend that always knows what you’re thinking? The one that even if you don’t talk for a week or so, you can pick up right where you left off…never once skipping a beat? Well, she’s the one. Just love her!
My name is Brandi Samm and my BFF is Nicole Wright. Together we have been through her husbands deployment to Iraq, the birth of my dd, and recently the birth of our sons, born 1 month to the day apart!! She would drop anything, at anytime, to help anyone ad that is why I love her so! We may go weeks without talking but when we touch base again, it’s as if we’d been together everyday for weeks!
I’m Emily Austin, and my best friend is my mom, Becky Dausman. She is the one who can be completely honest with me and I with her. She is the one I gave part of her name to both of my daughters. She encourages me when I need it and tells me to work harder and do better even when I don’t want to hear it. It pushes me to be my best and for that, I am forever grateful!
Wendy Johnson and Marla Call. We have been Besties since Junior High. Our Birthdays are two days apart. She really is the Sister I never had. People always tell us we look like sisters, talk the same, and have the same mannerisms. I think she is beautiful inside and out.
I am Korena, Hi!:) A best very dear friend of mine is Randi. Between us we have 5 little girls! I love her because we help each other make it through each day by meeting at 6 a.m. for a run…before the hubbies are off to work and the kids are up! We run and laugh and cry and get it all out before most people are even up!:) She is my soul-sister!
I’ve had my bestie since the 4th grade… and we are now 37. We are so different and alike at the same time. We joke that she is Oprah and I am Gayle (that is if Oprah were a tiny petite blonde from Tennessee). Karen has no kids, so she loves mine like her own. Since she has no kiddos, she wasn’t truly aware of MJC until more recently. She came along to 435 with me for support and now she is in love. She is just as excited for today as me and I LOVE that!! You & Me, Me & Karen… it is just joyful.
Jacci Mullican (and Karen Yeager)
My name is Theresa Jenkins and my best friend her name is Bobbie Jo Witherspoon. We are framily….what is framily….friends so close we are family. She is the sister i never had. She is there for me through fire and back (like this past year when i have needed her support as my son endured a year of chemo). I couldnt imagine my life without her as a part of it.
my best friend is without a doubt my husband, craig. he knows me better than anyone in this world. the good, the bad and the i-haven’t-showered-in-three-days ugly. we’ve been an item since the 9th grade and we don’t regret a single moment. i love this man!
My name is Angel Eagen and my best friend is Amy Ordahl. As friends first, and business partners second we have complete trust and confidence in each other. There is no one else I would allow to see my house at it’s worst and know that she won’t judge me. And there is no one else she would cheer up by showing off her old danceline/cheerleader moves for. Complete trust!
My name is Amanda Koonce and my bff is Katherine Knearem, even though we dont get to hang out as much anymore due to jobs and my lil girl, we pick up right where we left off which is totally awesome!
My name is Karly and my best friend is Jennifer Williams. We work amazing together. Everything I lack, she has and vice-versa. We are almost total opposites. I’m the tall reserved bean-pole, and she is a short vivacious woman. She usually has all the ideas where I’m the motivation and talent. We decided that since there are soooo many projects we would want to do, we can’t have it get in the way of everyday life, so generally whenever we get it in our minds to do something we are juggling it with taking care of 8 children (we each have 4), still keeping up with laundry, preparing meals, doing dishes, and still trying to make it so our hubbies don’t feel neglected. So far, I can’t recall anything standing in our way when we get it in our minds to do something. I do think we’re a force to be reckoned with, and I’m positive our husbands agree!
My best friend is Jennifer. We havent been bf forever, but it feels like we have, I swear we can complete each others thoughts, sentences, i would totally trust her to take over for me in any area of my life and not second guess any decision she made. I can totally be myself – good or bad day – with her and she gets it….she has my back no matter what, love this girl!
Jamie Hicks and my dearest pal Michelle Frenstad!!! We’ve never met in person but talk daily, kids have had playdates on skype, I love her to bits! We are a force to be reckoned with because with all our trials and tribulations the other one always has the strength and the exact little word(s) to make it through each day. She is one of the strongest people I have ever come across and We’ll be friends until we’re buying MJ for our grandchildren and beyond!
My name is Carrie Smith, my BFF’s name is Amy Le…..we are almost the same person….almost. We walk alike, we talk alike…you get the picture, right? Same sense of humor, same sense of style, same taste in just about everything. And where we are different, we compliment each other. Areas where she is strong, I am weak and vice versa. The best thing though, is when we go out to eat, we can always order two things we want to try and SPLIT it – and she is ALWAYS up for dessert! XO
)
Hi, my name is Jenna Wright. My best friends name is Kerri Schenk. We are a force to be reckoned with because we stick to our beliefs and our foundation no matter what. We don’t always have the same opinions or religious views, or views on raising our kids, but we always pray for each other and want the best for one another no matter how much we may see things differently. She had to move to Cincinnati Ohio three months ago to help in a family crisis. She has a 9 month old, her first. I miss her terribly but we talk every day and we visit each other at least once a month. She is the sweetest person I know, and I’m so glad she’s my best friend. I miss her so much! We truly are a force because you can’t sway us off what we believe or what we want to do, so together we can’t be torn apart and we could do lots of great things together if we had the time right now, helping in family problems and having little ones puts a stop to some things sometimes, only for a season though! We are currently doing a bible study together over the phone and email, so that for now is what is keeping up close in heart when we can’t get to each other!
Jenna Wright
Erin Holt/Angie: I have been best friends with this girl since I was 15. We are in our thirties now and I have a husband and two kids and she is still single. We don’t get to see each other much anymore BUT the beautiful thing about us is we can go weeks/months or even years without seeing each other and we never question the friendship and we jump right in to it like we are 15 again! She never makes me feel guilty that I spend all my time at home with my family and only make room for her a couple times a year but she still loves me. She has proven her loyalty to me over and over and that is a true friend. Someone who will always be there no matter what.
My bff is Sara and I would say four things make us a force to be reckoned with: our shared history (memories create strength), our senses of humor (laughter is the best medecine after all), our ability to hang with many types of people other than just each (acceptance), and our creativity–making fun out of ordinary situations!
I’m blessed with three best friends (aka the “Fly Moms”). And, isn’t any group of friends worthy of a nickname (given by others back in junior high when “fly” was cool) a force to be reckoned with. We’ve been together since 1st grade. That’s 25 years of girl-goodness. And seriously, they are the women I can be most honest with. Even though we’re all independently busy with family, work, and other friends, the simple notes and checkins and occasional nights out are times I cherish. I leave with grateful tears. Knowing these girls know my maiden name (even my pre-adoption name), why some of my scars are there, struggles I’ve had for years and things I have gratitude for now…these are the reasons I love my fly-moms. It’s simple, sweet love. And because our 25 years have given us relationships beginning and ending, births and loss of children, jobs and staying-at-home, I know that we’ll be blessed with another 25 years (or more!) ahead of us.
Let me tell you about my dear friend Wendy. We became friends quickly after going into the same profession and working a lot of shifts together at the same hospital. How I loved when we were scheduled to work together because she always had my back, and sometimes you need that! Fast forward 13 years, both of us now married, each have 3 little girls, living our crazy, hectic lives. Although no longer coworkers, we don’t get to see each other as much, but when we do, it’s the best of times. She’s always been there for me, can’t imagine her ever not being a part of my life.
My name is Lisa Urbaczewski and I have many very close friends but I would definitely say my mom, Dee Peluso is my best friend. I can remember being not so well behaved during my teen years and having horrific fights with her and thinking she knew nothing about life. But now I am 36 and everyday I discover another life lesson that she was right about. It is fantastic to now have two children who love their grandmother as much as I love her!!! PS – the fall line is breathtaking and I cannot wait to see it all in person at the trunk show I am attending tomorrow!!! Thanks bunches!!!!
My best friend is my Mom, Kathleen. I would have never said that 10 years ago because I just thought of her as my Mom. Once I got married, I realized how much she taught me and how I want to emulate her in my own life. There isn’t anything we can’t accomplish when we are together- that’s a best friend.
My best friend and sister Shannon and I are a force to be reckoned with because no matter what, where, how…we are there for each other and our six kids combined…it’s a strong wall no one can topple. We don’t live close to each other anymore and its tough, but she’s one of the best parts of my life and a force of love I cannot live without.
My name is Mindy, and my best friends name is Monica, who happens to also be my mom:) My mom has always been my best friend, even during the akward teenage years. She was the perfect mix of mom/friend, and continues to be that way today. We are a force to be recockoned with because NOTHING can come between us. We ave been through family fueds, sickness and death together, and stood beside each other all the way. I just pray one day my daughters are writing this same type of thing about me!
My name is Tracie and my best friend is Katrina. We have been best friends since the 3rd grade (25 years). We have been there for each other thru EVERYTHING, good times and bad. We have drifted apart for a little bit but always manage to find our way back to each other like no time has passed. Oh and did I mention we really know how to have a good time and laugh ALOT together.
My name is Grizellie and my best friend’s name is Lacie. We have been best friends for three years. What makes us a force to be reckoned with? Well, we are military wives. We have conquered overseas living and have spent more time together then with our husbands. We have taken four kids (all mine) on train trips, beach trips and to other countries. We have ran up phone bills talking to each other, explained to each other’s husbands why we needed that outfit or piece of furniture. We have cried together, laughed together, screamed together and been each other’s rock. You can find friends everywhere but a best friend is like Platinum, they come in small quantities:)
My name is Sarah Dennis and my best friend is Stacey Huftalen. We have been besties since the 9th grade when we met in Mr. Hojanowski’s science class! We’ve been through high school, going off to college, marriages (and divorce), her pregnancy and my husband and I being unable concieve, my children’s adoption and so so much more. I never had a sister and she is the closest I will ever get to that (and I’m bawling like a baby writing this! Guess I needed a good cry today too!). We live 4 hrs apart and don’t see each other as much as we would like to but when we do, it’s like no time has passed. Love ya Stace and can’t wait to see what the next 16 years holds for us!
My name is Arlene and my BFF is Cristina! We are only 5 years appart so I truly consider her my little sister! Always there for me….always with both ears open and willing to listen….always supportive and encouraging. Always pointing out in the kindest way how I can become a better me and a better person. Funny thing is Cristina is actually my beloved niece!
My sister is my best friend. She is ALWAYS there. Can’t say that about anybody else, except my dog
That pretty much sums it up and I couldn’t ask for more!
Tracy Jackson-Wilson my best friend is my niece, Witney Drummond. I am 33 and she is 19-big age difference, I know! I call her my “first born”. It has been such an amazing experience growing up WITH her, and I am seriously so proud of her like she was my own. Now that she’s in college, we still talk daily and skype at least twice a week. We both have fabulous senses of humor and are big movie buffs. We quote funny lines to each other all the time. SO…I guess if we were on a game show about movies, we would DEFINITELY be a force to be reckoned with! ; )
My name is Kirsten Noel Hany and my best friend is Roxanne Renee Barr. We have been best friends since we were 5 (and are now 30), we have been through so much together, we have lived in different states, we have had babies together, and we have lost her beloved daddy, we have cried, and we have laughed. She is simply the most amazing person I know and am honored that after 25 years we still have each other.
My best friend was my mom. She lived to be 48 years old. Pretty much taught me everything I know, especially about buying cute clothes. I always thought I was a tomboy and would never dress my daughter up like my mom did me. That is until I had my little girl. Now she is always clothed in MJ with a big huge bow to match. Guess she taught me right huh? I know she is looking down proud of me and my baby girl and I bet she especially loves our outfits
My name is Susan Gress, and my best friend is my husband, Sterling Gress. I don’t mean to sound cliche, but he really is my best friend. Together we can tackle just about any feat. We make all of our decisions as a team, although sometimes it takes longer to reach one
He’s the researcher, I’m the one who takes care of business. He adopted my son when he was fifteen when people wondered why when he’s so old, just so he’d feel like a complete part of the family. He’s a fantastic person and a great best friend. We have our moments, but I have no doubt we’ll be best friends when we’re old and grey!
I know everyone has a “female” BFF. My BFF is REALLY my husband Jason. We have been through it all and back.
No one can understand me MORE than my husband. I’ve cried on his shoulder (I don’t even know how many times). We ALWAYS have the BEST conversations. If I’m having a “Bad Day” he ALWAYS manages to turn it around for me. We’ve been through A LOT a month before our wedding (October, 2006) my daughter and I LOST all our belongs to a fire in our apartment. He helped us pick up the pieces to what we had lost…. July 20th of this year we had a tornado go through our yard destroying everything in its path. My husband lost his 2 year old shop and some farm equipment. THANKFULLY our house is still here and we are all ok. Jason helped me…. get through that. The scary part is I saw (what I thought was a grain bin coming within a foot away from hitting our window as I’m looking out it). We finally found out it was the roof of his shop. I know without Jason I’d be lost he’s my Best Friend & will ALWAYS be!!!!
My name is Kelly and my best friend is Casey. We have been BFF since childhood (even though I am in TN and she is now in CT). I love that no matter how much time goes by between visits, we go right back in stride together like no time has passed. We can gossip, laugh about old memories, and sing along to old school N*Sync like we are at the concert all over again. I love that girl!
My name is Sara and my best friend is named Haley. We have know each other for 18 years. I have two children and she is a mommy to three beautiful children. We have always been each others sounding boards. She was the one and only that I could talk with about the 5 years of infertility and 4 surgery’s to hopefully be able to get pregnant. I do not have a sister that I could ever talk with and she is the best “sister” that I could have. We both have very busy lives but we can always catch up with everything with a cup of coffee or tea (sorry Denise no diet coke). She is the absolute best and everyone should have a friend like Haley.
My name is Crystal Yoder and my best friend for life is Sara Adams Centeno…how do you sum up 25 years of friendship (yes, since kindergarten!) working out so well? I’m the reasonable, laid back, down to earth one and she’s the bubbly, over-the-top, center of attention one and together we manage to encourage each other in those areas! Wow, tears to my eyes just thinking about her and our life-long friendship! From little girls to college roomies to having babies of our own…just amazing! There is just nothing we can’t get through TOGETHER. LOVE!
My friend Ashleigh and I are quite the pair. We met when we joined our children’s school 2 years ago, we didnt realize we had same age children, same gender and 2 baby girls in our tummies at the same time. Now, our daughters and yes, even baby girls are besties…it is soo much fun to be together and have our children love to be together too. Ashleigh actually introduced me to MJC…we always take her family to the beach for a week in the summer with us, and as an enormous thank you, she bought my girls almost the whole line of Hammond Bay, I was overwhelmed by her generosity! So, we started going to MJC shows together and coordinating our girl’s outfits together (just to make sure they didnt have the same thing…its kind of a no no in a 7 year old girl’s world
Last Christmas, she knew I was eyeing the Myrtles, and lo and behold, they show up under my tree from my dear friend. I am not as financially fortunate as my friend is, but she is so gracious and generous to me and she loves to give from her heart to my family….I would love to be able to have the opportunity to give her a gift like those she has given me, and what a perfect opportunity!!! Thank you for this chance to show her some MJC love from me (and ya’ll of course
My sister-in-law is my best friend! I was so blessed to have her come into my life over a decade ago…my first sister…I grew up with one older brother and always wanted someone who just got me. This girl gets me; we laugh constantly. In fact, if things don’t work out with our husbands, I think I will propose! haha
My name is Jessica and my best friend is Debra Bonson. We met our freshman year in college. We were inseperable in college until a silly boy came between us. After a year and a half apart (we call it our divorce) we both woke up and swallowed our pride and “got back together”. We both learned so much about ourselves in our time apart and most importantly we learned how much we loved and needed one another in our lives. Now ten years later, we haven’t skipped a beat! She has been right by my side for my wedding, the birth of my two kids, and everyday life!! Love her to pieces – so know the true me, knows all my flaws and loves me anyway!
Loved the You&Me at the premier party this afternoon!!!! My name is Sarah Massey and my best friend is Kelli – she is a wonderful mother of 2 boys – and even though she doesn’t totally get all the “girl stuff” – she totally gets me – and although we have our differences – we are 100% their for eachother for a shoulder to cry on, an ear to gab to, or a hug to cheer eachother up!
My best friend, Yolanda, is like my sister. She was my locker partner in high school, the first friendly face I met in the ninth-grade at a Detroit Public School. I had been raised in the suburbs all of my life and all of a sudden I found myself without a schedule on the first day of classes in a steamy cafeteria across from a smiling girl with an infectious laugh who had gone to private school all of her life and was just as nervous, out of place and excited as I was. We instantly clicked. We then went on to college together and became roommates and really got to know each other
We laughed, cried, argued, partied, and rode home together. We were inseperable. We are both only children and feel like we have been blessed in our lives to find an unbreakable bond and sisterhood together. When my “Granny” died in 2005, she broke down like a baby while reading her eulogy, because she was like her grandmother too. Our frendship is now almost 26 years strong (I will be 40 soon. Speaking of crying, tears are running down my face currently as I think of what she means to me. Even if I don’t win a thing, thank you for reminding me of how truly blessed I am to have a sister in this life that I love and can count on. I am about to get off the net and call her now, so she knows how I feel. Thank you for the “reality check”.
My name is Tracy Davidson and my best friend is Stacey Coates. I’ve been lucky enough to have my best friend literally by my side my entire life. We were even wombmates! When growing up we were always called double trouble because what one of us couldn’t come up with the other did. Sisterhood is a religion built on the foundations of survival of the fittest, trouble, and, most of all, friendship. Through elementary school, summers at grandma’s, high school, college, marriage and now parenting; together we make each other BEST! There is more power in being “children of the same family, the same blood, with the same first associations and habits, which no subsequent connections can supply.” Patricia Volk explained my twin sister and I when she said “I know some sisters who only see each other on Mother’s Day and some who will never speak again. But most are like my sister and me… Linked by volatile love, best friends who make other best friends ever so slightly less best.” God has blessed me by giving her to me!
I can’t imagine how nervous you all must be with a new release! I do, however, feel it is important to tell you all how GORGEOUS the new Platinum pieces have been!! Thank you!
My answer is lame…my BFF is my husband, Andy.
I always joke that if we were ever divorced we would still hang out all the time. We compliment each other so well. After 17 years of marriage we are still very much in love with each other, and the passion we have for one another is so much stronger than it was in the beginning. We are like a good wine…get better with age!
My name is Robin and my best friends name is Kim. We have the sort of friendship that I am SURE was destined. Ha! Seriously, we can not talk for years and pick up exactly where we left off. No jealousy, no sadness when one’s life is too busy for the other… Just a solid, genuine “I love you, you love me, I’ve got your back… no matter what” kind of friendship.
My bff and I are like twin sisters. When we are together, it is ok to not talk the whole time – there are no awkward silences with us. We can also communicate without saying a word! We don’t do drama and we rock!
My best friend inspired my dream of becoming a nurse. When she was 31 weeks pregant, she went into labor – she was so afraid! I was there from the beginning of her pregnancy – when she took the test – when she thought she was having a miscarriage, when her water broke at 31 weeks – I followed her ambulance to the hospital. I held her hand, I fed her, she didn’t even care if her husband was there – she just wanted me with her! Her sweet two year old – Lily Grace is like my child!
Did I mention that my best friend had cancer, only has 1/2 a lung, and no colon! She is a miracle! She inspires me!
In the last year, I have moved 11 hours away from her. But, our bond is just as strong! I love her!
My name is Angela Murr and my BFF is Mandy Pratt!
My name is Roberta, and my BFF is Meghan. We have known each other since Kindergarten…24 years!!! WOW, that’s a loooong time. =) We went to the same school all the way through 10th grade. I remember being so sad when she went away to college, I choose to go to the local community college. I had my second baby, when she had her first (both babies were due 4 days apart, and were born 4 days apart). We still keep in close contact and we even live in different states now. We try to see each other a couple times a year. In fact, our families will be spending a week together on vacay in 6 weeks!!! Counting down until we see each other. =)
I am Chandra Rang and my best friend is my sister, Carrie Johnson. I know it sounds so boring…my best friend is my sister…we’ve known each other since birth…blah, blah, blah. For me, though, there is no other. Nobody. Nohow. Nowhere. Never. Together, we are completely and utterly genuine…even when it is ugly. And that is beautiful.
My BFF is Kara. Never did I think I could meet someone who is more like me than her. I think we finish each others thoughts without even speaking sometimes! Since we became friends, we have both had 2 children and sharing that has made us even closer. She lives in Germany now and I am sad that I can’t see her all the time (thank goodness for cheap Internet phone and Facebook), but we still share that special bond and still finish each others sentences when she does come back a few times a year. And our kids pick up and play together like they have known each other forever and just saw each other the day before-it’s like they know too!
My Bff is my mom…all day and night! She is soft spoken, smart, hard working and super loving. I am all of those things plus the things that no one ever thought her to be….outspoken and strong. When you put the two of us together we are like one big mama bear. We can love till the sun goes down but don’t mess with us cause well we will eat you!
Love the new collection and can’t wait to have it here for my daughter to wear. Thanks ladies!
My best friend is Nisa. We met our freshman year of college ( almost 20 years ago!) and I know that my life would not have been the same without her. She is the sister I never had and who knows what I am thinking and feeling. I never had to explain my actions to her as she understands my true self just as I understand her. We can just be ourselves and trust one another with our whole hearts. Even though we live in different states and time zones, whenever we talk or get together, it’s like we have never been apart.
Jessica Miller & Heidi Cooper…she’s the calmest, most genuine person ever…a great mom to 2 sweet girls this side of heaven and one beautiful angel up above. She’s my thrifting & antiquing partner in crime, the godmother to my littles, and my business sounding board/cheerleader/…and cop! HA!
My best friend is Jennifer H. We have been friends since our Freshman year in college…about twenty-five years now. We have been through thick and thin. She is a remarkable person and that helps to bring out the best in our friendship. She makes me a better person and I know she would come right back and say that about me. What makes me admire her the most is that she kept it together for a few years while her husband made some wrong choices and had to spend some time in federal prison. I am sure many of you reading this post would think OMG, but really and truly she has come out on the other side being a stronger person raising her children, teaching in an innercity highschool in CT, and being respected by her professional peers. Through all of this she still has time to ask me how I am doing and what she can do for me…As for me, since she lives out East and I live in MI all I really want from the friendship is to hear how she is doing and tell me funny stories to make me laugh. You see she only thinks of others and what she can do for people. Yet, when we see each other we can shop till we drop, laugh til we cry, and live like there is not a tomorrow. So, Jennifer H. she is my best friend and I wouldn’t judge her otherwise.
I’m Michelle Clouse, my best friend is Danie. We’ve been friends since high school. We’ve been through boyfriends, long road trips singing along to the Grease soundtrack, a spring break trip where we ate cold spaghetti just to save money. Although we don’t see each other as often as I’d like, we seem to always be able to pick up right where we left off. Our little ones are the same way. After months of not getting to see each other, you’d think they were long lost souls sharing their every secret. This is how you truly know you have a great friend.
My BF is Allison. Perhaps we’re besties because we are total opposites. Like she comes 2 hours late to the party and I come 2 hours early. I stress out if my pants aren’t fitting perfectly and she cuts the feet out and makes cute leggings when they are too small. Allison is laid back and artsy and I am uptight and bookish. When we have babies, we come stay with the other for 4-5 days. She cooks for me and takes pictures. I organize her tupperware drawer and do laundry. We need each other like Tom and Jerry and Lucy and Ethel.
I’m Christine Wellner and my BFF is Cindy McKendall. We were college roommates freshman year and if you saw the 2 of us together, you would say, “wow, now that *was* a random match!” But in short order, we became the yin to each others yang and with tons of self-effacing good humor and plenty of pizza delivery, we forged a bond like no-other. And now we’ve “grown up” together through finishing school, getting those first post-college jobs, dating, marriages, homes, raising kids and other family dramas…and even though we don’t see each other nearly enough, she’s a person i’m so proud to call friend. And watch out because we’re going to continue to be bold, phenomenal women for the next 20 years (and way beyond) together!!
Jobie Lee and Jenny Movel. Sometimes you just know when you’ve met someone like no other…genuine, funny, confident…. Although, we met just shy of a year ago…I KNOW we will be best friends forever. I feel very blessed to have her in my life. We clicked immediately and I have Matilda Jane Clothing Company to thank for giving me this opportunity!
Best friend- Nicole Myers
Me- Tracie Schaefer
Nicole and I were destined to be best friends, we moved to the same city at the same time, have 2 sets of daughter’s the exact same age who are all super close, we have very similar backgrounds in life, but the biggest reason is that I can talk to her about anything, and when I say anything I mean ANYTHING, I just love that girl!!
You know that girl that would do anything for you? Even when you moved to Atlanta with your husband and baby girl, and she is in Texas with her husband and baby boy? (You know that good cry you were talking about?! Enter: waterworks!) That is my best friend, Andrea Hall Leggett. I am Jessica Johnson Adams, and I met my best friend, Andrea, when we were in 6th grade… We are 30 now. A girl that knew you in those awkward pre-teen years and still loves you almost 20 years later, now that’s a keeper! I love my Andrea, and miss her everyday now that I live across the country. Two better friends you will never meet!
My sister Rhiannon and I are the best of friends! Even though we are 12+hours away from each other, we call each other at least 5 times a day, just to say hi, or how the day is going, or with big “problems” we might be facing that day. Its always nice to know that you have a “best” friend to talk to, even if it is over the phone!!!!!:)
My name is Kate and my best friend is Carrie. What makes us a force to be reckoned with is laughter. We got through college together, dating, first jobs, and now marriage and kids. I live in Kentucky and she lives in Los Angeles, but no matter the distance we have a bond and a giggle that can’t be denied!!
My name is Megan and my best friend is Shannon. Being 32 years old and reflecting on the past 27 YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP is hard to put into words and is so emotional! I can look in my baby book and see my mom’s writing answering the prompt for Kindergarten, “Who is your best friend?” and Shannon’s name is right beside it. Yes, it’s amazing for me to say that Shannon and I have been BEST FRIENDS SINCE WE WERE 5 YEARS OLD. And in these 27 years, we have experienced so much. I love her like a sister and I’m the sister she never had! You usually didn’t see one of us somewhere without the other! We stood up for (and to, at times) eachother and supported eachother with anything and everything. Through elementary, high school, sports, and even college roomies, we’ve done it all! Shannon is one of the most amazing people that I know and we always just pick up where we left off. There are so many wonderful memories, inside jokes, and “remember whens?!” between us that I feel so fortunate to have someone like her in my life. We’ve been there for eachother during the most important and happiest times (sleepovers, school, graduation, boyfriends, engagement-marriage-births,etc.) and we’ve been there to help eachother through the difficult and hardest times (her parents divorce, break-ups, and the death of my brother to cancer). Like we always say…”I’m here for you whenever…wherever.” And what we have; our friendship, loyalty, and love is a force to be reckoned with
I would have to say the my BFF is my hubby….I know too mussy. So, since that isn’t as fun I am going to go with the friend I talk to the most often. My friend, Jessica (whom I have yet to meet) and I just “get” each other. It doesn’t matter what I send her way…she gets it and I love her for that!! Now onto meeting her someday soon!!!! Love the new line! Wish the budget would allow me to buy MJ….one day right….when it is all sold out
My name is Bunny Denton and my bestie is Emily Smartt. We are a shopping force to be reckoned with! We are constantly on the phone or in the stores or at our TKs house at the booty crack of dawn! Our husbands always want to know why we are on the phone when we will be seeing each other the next day! She found out about 6 weeks sooner than me that she was pregnant with her second so she knew the sex 6 weeks sooner too! We both have 5 year old little boys that are bfs and 6 weeks apart and when she found out that she was pregnant with her second and that it was a little girl I cried… I wanted one so bad!! My prayers were answered and my checkbook has suffered ever since!! We shop like we breathe… constantly!! We always call to make sure our little darling girls aren’t wearing the same mj! We love the individuality of it and we love the compliments we get!! Thanks for making such cute clothes and for giving us such a fun unique shopping experience with trunk shows and the best trunk keeper Lisa!! As our husbands say… we are responsible for stimulating the economy and we take our responsibility seriously!!
My BFF is my twin, Lindsay Pace. We dream and then together we make it come true! And did I mention we have lots of fun along the way? We bring out the child in each other!
My name is Jodi and my best friend’s name is Michelle (Mimi for short). She is the sister I never had and we always take care of each other through good and bad times! She makes me laugh, cry and dance all the time.
My sister, Christina and I are a force to be reckoned with! We are only 3 years apart in age (which age you ask??.. we are not sharing that info!!)
We finish each others sentences and even though we live states away.. we still talk daily… She has my back.. and I have hers… through EVERYTHING! This is why we are a dynamic duo…
My best friend lives far far away from me.I’m in texas and she is In Colombia South America. We may not talk for weeks, months…but when we see each other it is as if we never missed a thing. Its the best feeling ever to know that distance wont break us apart, but brings us closer together.a bond we have shared since babies <3
My BF, Beth, and I are a force to be reckoned with because we motivate and inspire each other. Last school year we started what we call “project Fridays”. Each week, as soon as we drop the kids off at school we get together for the entire day. We alternate weeks, and the host decides what the project of the day will be. Whether it be cleaning out closets, baking, decorating, shopping, or ???, we have so much fun getting it done together! And, today just happens to be her birthday, Happy Birthday Beth!
My best friend, Marcia, and I have been attached at the hip since birth (literally- since we are one month apart). We have always done everything together, from going to the restroom together in kindergarten (because I was too shy to raise my hand and ask the teacher) to being college roomies (we also worked together in college!) to “giving each other away” at our weddings. After nearly 34 years of friendship, we still to this day talk to each other on a daily basis.
I love to look back in our scrapbooks to see our “matching” outfits. Oh, talk about fashion trends! Now, we have fun shopping together to dress our own daughters like little dolls.
One of the saddest days of my life was the day I helped her move 4 hours away. We were supposed to always be together; that went against our plan! And after 11 years of living with those miles between us, absolutely nothing has changed. I still miss her face, but I know that we are never really apart…because she and I share the same soul.
My name is Caryn Sachar, and my best friend is Genevieve. We were both new in town & quickly bonded at Kindergarten orientation. Now we commiserate how hard our husbands work, how moody our 6 year olds are acting
, and how we hate to cook! I turned her on to Matilda Jane and coupon shopping – now THAT’S a force to be reckoned with – coupon moms!
My name is Jennifer and my best friend is my husband because he is my rock in raising our four kids and helping me to keep my sanity. But I am a force to be reckoned with my good friend Kimberly. She has four kids like me and we are constantly talking to one another everday about our crazy lives but we are also there to lean on one another when the day is not going so well. I can be transparent with her with no judging each other…just being ourselves!
My name is Abigail Kathrine Jones and best friend’s name is Melissa Marie Sorg. She makes me laugh so hard, we both end up bawling. We cry together too, she gets me through the worst and I do the same for her. She makes me feel so good about myself and who I am. We are totally honest to each other which makes our friendship even stronger. Trust me. We have been through the THICKEST and the THINNEST. I love her like a sister and she loves me like a sister. We talk together about anything and everything. We have been together forever and trust each other more than anyone else. We are basically the same person just we look different!! We borrow clothes from each other, mostly MJC.
We understand each other so well. We are so sincere to each other and she means the world to me. She feels the same way. We are practically sisters.
Its also kind of funny because One of our favorite things to is sing the song “You and Me” by The Dave Matthews Band. It had been our favorite song for the longest time. We sing it on the top of our lungs and don’t even have one care in the world about who’s listening. The collection was kind of meant to be for us I guess!! Our friendship is one of the strongest chains that no one could ever break. It is truly one of a kind.
my name is carole elizabeth yeck and my very best friend is Stacey Ekdahl. Not only does she always help me back to my happy place when ive lost it….she just simply is my happy place whenever we r together. We bring out the best in one another…stand by and stand for each other through everything good and bad. we see each other thru the hardest of times and are at each others sides during the most joyful of lifes moments…..from sharing our new babies to carefree giggles on an ordinary afternoon. I hope for everyone that they have a friend in thier lives as beautiful a person and true as can be as my Stacey!!!!!
My name is Lisa and my BFF of 5 yrs is Stephanie. I always thought that you met best friends at a younger age in life, and made friends as you got older. Not true:) I met my best friend 5 yrs ago, and our husbands now refer to us as Thelma & Louise. There is no telling what will happen when we are together. I’ll never forget the day when Stephanie and I were sitting in her kitchen drinking a cup of coffee, and chatting about random stuff. I can’t tell you how that conversation went from being random chatter into tearing down a wall in her kitchen, but it did. In about 30 minutes we had a plan and a Dr. Pepper in hand, and we were good to go. We tore that wall down, and the look on her husbands face when he walked in was priceless. There is just no telling what will happen the two of us are together. She is my you, and I am her me.
My best friend is my younger sister, TuUyen. We are complete opposites…I am the stronger personality, she is the laid back, free spirited, spontaneous personality. The fact that we are so different gives us a good balance. We are always there for one another and that’s how it will always be – a relationship that I hope for my 2 little girls too.
My name is Nickie Cardozo and my best friend is the beautiful Maryann Wiggs. She is a fan of MJC, but only from afar as she is mommy to two beautiful boys. Just you wait until she has a little girl tho
She and I are such a perfect pair together! Embarrassingly REAL with each other, ridiculously silly with each other and fiercely loyal to each other. You will never see any fussing from either of us when we go off to hang out with this friend or that, because we both know beyond a shadow of a doubt that our friendship is special. Maryann would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need and I love her oh so dearly.
Hi,My name is Sheridan Bunch and my best friend is my cousin Jessica Argumaniz. We have been great friends since we were born. Our friendship could never be broken up because we made it through the good times and the hard times. Plus we always have memories of us as kids singing sugar pie honey bunch, sharing one pair of quad skates.
She is the one that always the one to tell it like it is and I am the one to sugar coat everything. lol I love her dearly.
Oh man, a good best friend can totally call you out when your jeans DO make your butt look fat or when you can see straight through that new shiny top that came from H&M. But the phone also rings BEFORE you need them, because they just know that you’re home crying a river over relationships, or kids, or jobs. The best parts are those one or two word texts that only you two “get” and they’re so funny that your Diet Coke shoots through your nose in the middle of the License Branch and you just smile to yourself because your best friend just shared a really good one with you randomly in the middle of the day! I’m Tracy V and my BFF is Dee A and I’m smiling right now just thinking about her~
I would honestly say my sister, Angie, is my best friend. I wouldn’t have always said that…but it is fun when you grow up and can truly appreciate the friendship! Love her and don’t know what I would do without her!!!
My best friend is Summer Davis. We met through a mutual friend. I had my first child five months prior to Summer having hers. After looking for a day-care and not liking any she called me to see if I would be her childcare provider. We haven’t looked back since! Our daughters are like sisters and we are often asked if they are twins. Summer and I are so much alike and so different at the same time. I consider her my sister now because that is what she has turned into. We talked constantly and do everything together, as well as our daughters! Now with two new babies to add to the mix it is getting that much more exciting! One girl and one boy, so maybe they will get married one day! We have laughed lots and cried as well. My best friend, sister, second mommy to my kids she is all these things rolled up into one and I love her to death!! Shawna Lucas
My BFF is Lisa Gavin. We have been friends since middle school, went to college together and now share motherhood together. When I got my driver’s license, she was the first place I drove to…and I picked her up to go get ice cream.
I like to call her the call to my storm. I can get a little overwhelmed with life sometimes and all of the things that go through my brain at the same time. But she keeps me grounded…helps me see the light at the end of the tunnel…and brings me back to reality when I need it.
She is the planner, I am the last minute decision maker.
She is organized, I am scattered
She is the reader, I am the artist.
And she is the other half of me and I wish I could be more of.
I can’t imagine life without her.
My best friend, Vicki and I have been best friends since we were 5. Now, 30 years later; we still laugh at each other’s jokes, cry at the same movies, love the same clothes, and share ideas of how to raise our children. We have each other’s backs no matter what, share our secrets, and drive our husbands crazy that we still can stay up till 3 am talking!!!
My name is Jenn and my best friend is my husband. Sounds silly but at the end of the day, he really is my everything. He was beside me, holding my hand the moment we brought both our babies into this world. A moment him and I will share nearest to our heart forever. He supports me, understands me, and has always been my “best friend” I love him and our life together. He also loves Matilda Jane and loves to see our daughter light up when she wears a beautiful Matilda Jane outfit! Now that is AWESOME!!
My name is Kandice and my bestfriend is definitely my Daughter Harper. I get teary eyed just thinking about the years and times I had with my own mother. The things I put her through growing up and now after three years of infertility I was blessed with a sweet baby girl who will be 1 in September. A Best friend thats one? is crazy i’m sure some will say but my days consist of her, talking to her and playing with her. I know for sure at the end of the day she will always be there and I can always count on her to make me smile. She is the best shopping buddy and her sweet giggles make me melt. I can’t wait until the days ahead of girls days, cries and laughs!
where does my post always go?
My best friend is Rachel Dawsey. We lived together for four years in college and we’ve been like family ever since. We’ve been known to organize a mean game of Ultimate Frisbee, plan luau wedding showers and surprise birthday parties, teach our kids about the environment, and convince our friends to play silly board games on New Year’s Eve. We’ve been through swamp-wading adventures, weddings, miscarriages, pregnancies, camping trips, and moving woes together. Although we live miles apart, we know we can count on each other for anything. And we know that whenever we get together, something fun will happen!
My name is Michelle – My best friend is Meghan, we have been best friends for over a decade. Believing everything happens for a reason, it was dating the same confusing man that brought our paths to cross. Thanks to him, our friendship is one I wish everyone in the world would have – though few ever find.
She’s the city girl, shoes, fashion, beautiful blond hair with style, modern. I’m the country girl, crafts, plain, if it isn’t comfortable don’t waste your money, old fashioned, and brunette pony tail all the way.
Through the years we have remained solid in our morals, values, beliefs, even if they are different. We can talk with months between having nothing changed in our closeness or understanding of the other. See each other after years and feel like a day hasn’t passed. Through all the rough, tough, and at times brutal changes, our friendship has been solid as a rock. We are each other’s “laotong”, together there is no situation we cannot conquer or endure knowing the other is there. Even if we are not always physically there, we know without question the other will be when we need them the most!!!
My name is Jennifer and my best friend’s name Beth. We have known each other since third grade when we would carry laundry baskets full of dolls through the subdivision. The thing I love best about our friendship is that we never need time to reconnect. I live in Michigan now and she is still in Missouri and with 7 kids between us, we don’t get to talk or see each other very often. However, we never need time to get back in the swing of our friendship. It is just natural and EASY!!! We both just celebrated our 40th birthdays this summer….time flies!
My best friend is Anna. Anna Banana, as my family calls her, and me Caity Bug. We have been a ridiculous pair for around 23 years! We are now 28 and still cannot for the life of us behave and not giggle like we are 6 year olds again! She is a rock, a hug, a tearful belly laugh, and my other piece. Other than my husband, helps make life just fun! I am better and more balanced with her in my life, but the best part is the silly! We all could do with (a whole lot) more silly in our lives!……I am totally going to remind her of all these things today, thanks for the reminder!
Anna Chance by the way….
My name is Kristin Taron. My bestfriend is my sister Kera. She is awesome! As the years have gone, we continue to get closer and closer, which I love. She is outgoing, confident, and a go getter- all of the traits I wish I had more of. What makes us a force to be reckoned with is that we have fun just being..just being with each other no matter the situation!:)Love that girl!!
My bestie is Misty we have a strong faith in God and know that our words can move any mountain! We r there 4 each other in anything.
Love this post, Sam. The line is amazing and beautiful, just like you and Denise. I love the vibrant colors and cohesiveness of the pieces. It’s a wonderful collaboration! Congrats!!! Also, one of my besties is April. I’d do just about anything for her. She’s an incredible woman and friend (…and soon to be mom. Celeste, her baby girl, is due at the end of this week. Yipee! I can’t wait to meet the new addition. She’ll be amazing, just like her momma!)
My name is Rachel and my best friends name is Becky. We have been friends since the 3rd grade when she pantsed me on top of the slide ladder on the playground. Today our friendship remains as strong as ever. I think it is our sense of humor about life and strong willed nature that makes us unstoppable. We are strong as individuals buy when we get together there’s nothing we can’t handle. She’s my go to girl for whatever I need!!
Julia Anderson…My best friend Allison and I clicked when she volunteered to babysit, free, for my autistic son. I thought “who would tae that on?” She has blessed my life with so much and I would drop anything to help her!
my best friend-wow. would have to be my daughter, madelyn. she’s five—i waited 31 years for her and from her first breath i knew that we were one….one force perhaps…but definitely one heart. and i have a good cry-at least one tear that swells up inside me-from my heart-and its there at least one time a day. like this morning (she slept w/ me last night) her first words were, “good morning mommy-you’re the best gal I ever had.” gotta love five-old-isms. i said, “sweetie, you’re definitely the best gal I ever had, too.” i read once, on a plaque, “a daughter is your child that grows up to be your best friend.” well, i can say this, i didn’t have to wait for her to grow up to be my bff—she was on the day of her birth, when i had a ‘good cry’, myself. i imagine, years from now, she’ll phone me up-probably at the very moment i go missing her crazily-will have just had a good cry-and she may giggle at me….but if i know her, maybe she will say, “yeah, me, too.” oh how i adore her.
congrats on the new line-it is fantabulous! cheers, sam & denise! love it! xo
Me: Angie Dewey
My BFF: Elisha Wintch
We’re like 2 magnetic forces. We were attracted to each immediately the day we met in Kindergarten, 25 years ago! She said to me: “Hey, your brown like me. Lets be friends.”
And we have been ever since, even though we have only lived in the same state for 3 years. Our friendship has survived through cancers, marriages, babies, moving and much more. Our friendship is something that I will have til the day I die…. either that or we will end up moving in with each other when we’re old and gray and we’ll adopt a few dozen cats :0)
You & Me rocks! I’ve enjoyed looking at all of the pieces today. I can’t wait for my order to arrive!
My name is Holly, and my sister Dawn and I are the very best of friends. We’ve been close all of our lives despite the 5 year difference in our ages. However, the older we get, the closer we become. Dawn is the oldest and has always been the person that I look up to. . . she is amazing. Creative. Funny. Smart. Talented. The two of us together laugh more than any duo ever should. We have so much in common and many accuse us of being joined at the hip! We even look a lot alike which causes confusion daily. Dawn works for a bank and was recently featured on an area billboard. I get, “I like your new billboard” all of the time.
I don’t mind. I love my sister and enjoy being confused for her. When I was engaged, my husband and my sister received a gift. Yes, the tag read, “Congratulations Stephen & Dawn.” I didn’t mind that either. She’s the best auntie ever to my little girl. I couldn’t ask for more. We’re the perfect pair!
I’m Tonya Butterfield and my best friend is Margo Smith. We know the best and the worst of each other and love each other all the more for it!
My name is Rachel Watts and my best-friend is Jamie Scott. She is my sister-in-law and between us we have seven children- ages 10,8,7,2,2,2,&7mo! (yes- FOUR of them are two and under:) We are a dynamite mommy-team always helping each other out and giving the other an occasional needed break. I honestly don’t know what I would do without her two miles down the street! We also share our love for MJC so our kiddos are ALWAYS dressed CUTE
I am so blessed that my brother married such a wonderful gal!
My full name is Melissa Locklear (although my father is the only person to call me that, it’s Missy to the rest of the world). And my best friend is my husband Jake Locklear. I’ve had close girlfriends throughout my life but none stick out to me to be better than the rest. My husband can read me in 1 split second, we’re (usually) on the same page and I never get tired of him. About the only thing we don’t see eye to eye on is clothes for our girls, but we’re working on him! (hey we out number him 3-to-1!)
My best friend is my sister in law. It is amazing how we can be so similar…..but different in the places where it counts. I always laugh and say I was the triplet who was left behind at the hospital…see, my SIL is a twin. Not mine…but sometimes I wonder!
My name is Lisa and my BFF is Tammy! Tammy is always there for me(and I so hope she feels the same about me)! The one to cry with, struggle with, hope with, dream with, smile with, have fun with…I could go on and on. She really is one of the most amazing people I have ever known and I know there are so many people that think the same about her-she is just a great person!!!! I know we will be true friends forever!!!
My name is Misty and my best friend is Jenny because I can trust her with the 2 most valuable things I have my hubby and my kids and she can see the real Me and still love me and because we can happy cry and ugly cry together and she makes me want to be a better mom and wife and friend and I can trust her to make me look good no matter who’s around or what they may be saying and because I know she wont trade me in for a newer model hahaha and if somebody messes with HER im gonna be sure they are going DOWWWWNNNN lol!!!
My best friend Prentiss and I are a dynamic duo b/c we know each other completely. There are no surprises. We are totally comfortable with each other, able to be entirely honest. Never afraid to hurt each other’s feelings. It is so nice to have someone like that, and I am so thankful…..
My name is Sarah Mosunic and my best friend is Karen Gibson. We’ve been best buds for 32 wonderful years. We sometimes go months or even a year without seeing each other but each time we do, we pick up right where we left off. We are peas and carrots! Love her so much!
My best friend is Michelle. She knows me maybe better than I know myself. We have been BFF for 34 years…literally been through it all! Although we live 800 miles away from each other now and don’t talk nearly as often as we would like, when we do talk, its like not a moment passed! Together or apart, we are beyond a force to be reckoned with! We are nothing alike, yet completely the same. Two peas in a pod. For 34 years and counting.
LOVE LOVE LOVE what you two have created together!!! I know that it’s strange to say, but my bff is my hubby, Dave Finnegan! Like Dave Mathews says “You and me together can to ANYTHING, baby!” Together we are stronger than any force on earth!
Me – Christine Adam My best friend – Tracy Goddard Tracy and I grew up going to the same church but it wasn’t until we were in our 20′s that we truly became friends. We are Senior Consultants for Thirty-One Gifts (I got into it because of her!) and just recently attended the National Conference together – I haven’t had so much fun or slept in the same bed as another girl since middle school! We support each other daily in our marriages, with our kids and in our spiritual lives. Tracy knows about Matilda Jane and sees it on several girls (and me!) at our church but she would never spend the money on herself or her girls…she can’t afford to. My paychecks from Thirty-One go toward my student loan and fun stuff while hers go toward making ends meet as well as the other 2 paychecks she collects from other jobs. I know how your contests work and if you choose my story I just ask that you let Tracy have whatever my portion would be for her girls. Thanks MJC for letting me realize how much I love that woman!
Jackie Fornetti and Tammie Piacenti.
And even though we are miles apart, she will always be my bestie.
We moved into our homes at the same time, had our babies at the same time, made a life together as a family, at the same time.
I miss her everyday, but think of her everyday. Her hubby got a job away, but the miles may separate us, but a phone call or text message makes her right here.
Hey there! My name is Jackie Huhn and my best friend is, and always will be, my little sister, Jenn Harris. She and I balance eachother in the best and worst ways. I grew up the quiet one always wanting to “play” with my younger sister and her friends. She was always more outgoing with tons of friends and big personality. She is the person I can call, any time of day or night, just to talk about everything and nothing at the same time. Who else can you just ring up while waiting in the doctors office or at the DMV just to kill time and ALWAYS have enough to say to fill the space. Even though I live in IL and she in NY, we have never been closer! Even though we are in two completely different professions, she is a beautiful and talented actress and I am a mother and nurse, we are eachothers BIGGEST FANS!
Ohhh my GOODNESS….be so proud this line !! It is AMAZING…I love it..just hoping I get all that I want
…you girls are AWESOME!!!
My best friend is Wil. He is the best husband, soldier, father and best friend I’ve ever had. He’s been gone for two and a half years now but there is not a day that goes by I don’t think about him, miss him and tell him about our wonderful family. Even though he’s gone…..he is still the other half of my heart.
I’m Jen and I cry too, even when Im typing this.
I am Rachel Hess and my best friend is my older sister Jackie Williams. I have always felt so blessed that life made my sister into my best friend…the best of both worlds I guess. We have been there for each other through our Husbands going to war and coming home “different” than the men we married. We clung to each other when we each lost a child. We protected each other through countless trials and tribulations, all the while laughing at all the wrong times and smiling through our tears. We make each other better people. I love her so much it hurts. And now, Sam, I have had a “good cry”. Thanks for giving me the chance to tell about our friendship. Other than my children, it is what I cherish most in this life.
My best friend is Beverly Ann Bennett!! We have been best friends every since I can remember. We were having sleepovers when we were 2 and 3…well they always started out as sleepovers but most of the time one of us always seemed to be going home early for some reason. The first sleepover gone bad that I remember was a fight over her wanting to sleep in my favorite little rocking chair… I would not give in and so she insisted that she go home early!LOL All of my best memories are with her. No matter what we do we have fun together she always makes me laugh!! The best thing about her is when no one else understands what I am saying she does and she can always finish my sentences for me!! Can’t imagine my life without her
My best friend’s name is Kristine and I have known her for the last 18 years. She and I are like Yin and Yang. We’re so different, but also so balanced. While I am a bit on the conservative side, reserved, polite and always respectful as to never ruffle any feathers, she is boastful, outspoken, and wildly stylish. Over the years, those qualities were sometimes hard to tolerate and I often wondered if I would continue a friendship. But as I’ve grown and “grown up” over the last few years, I’ve discovered that behind that pistol-like outer shell, is a kind, quiet, vulnerable and utterly loyal soul that I’ve come to enjoy and cherish. And with my milder demeanor, I find myself fighting and defending anyone to the bone that ever has anything disrespectful to say about her or her children. It’s so important to look beyond what you see on the outside as you never know how that person will help you later on in life.
My BFF is Jennifer Guriel. We have been BFF since 6th grade. We are the opposite and the same all in one. We have been there for each other in good and bad times. She was there for me in college when my mom passed away. I was there for her when she lost a child. We stick up for each other too…so don’t mess! Love you Jenn!
My Best Bud is my Sil Megan. We are like 2 peas in a pod
Although we live miles apart from each other we talk on the phone everyday. We laugh together and support one another and are always there for each other like sisters. She is a great mom and a true friend. She has my back and I have hers! Thanks for the great contest!!!!!!
Hi…My name is Staci and my best friend’s name is Humberto and he just happens to be my husband too. We started out as friends in high school and the relationship blossomed from there…(dated nine years and celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in April). He is truly the greatest friend, husband, and the love of my life. There is nothing that either of us wouldn’t do for the other…and these days that is very hard to find.
P.S. The new line is absolutely fabulous and I can’t wait for my show tomorrow to see the pieces in person. I have been a customer since fall 2009 and I must say I think this is the best collection by far. You all way outdid yourself this time. Thanks for keeping me and my daughter so stylish!!
My name is Michelle Budlong and my very very best friend is Kate Singleton. We first met as new moms at a mommy/ baby support group. When we introduced ourselves to each other and learned that we had named our sons the same uncommon name, it was an instant connection. It wasnt long long before we realized that we were soul mates. Our lives have paralleled in so many beautiful ways, with the birth of our second babies, (both boys, 3 mos. apart) and then the birth of our “surprise” little girl blessings with in a year of each other. She is my shelter from the storm. As life throws me challenges that I sometime think will ruin me, she is there to pick me up and carry me to safety and comfort. Just as I am coming out of a storm, she sometimes is entering her own, ready for me to pick her up and carry her through. We have also had to battle major life changing storms at the same time, and still find the courage and strength to keep each other living. There truly is a reason some people meet in life, it would just be too hard with out them. Together we are a force to be reckoned with and we have yet to have found a situation that we can not overcome because we have each other. We can sure be a force when it comes to dressing our daughters in M.J. You should see us at a trunk show, wanting it all but then “sharing” the line as we coordinate which pieces our daughters will have so as to keep them individual within each other. We both love the unique style that gives our daughters confidence in her individuality that keeps her looking great no matter what comes her way. Thank you for all the hard work, This is the best line yet!! LOVE!
I’m Abby Petzoldt, and my best friend is my sister Hannah. We are definitely a force together. We can fight with the best of them…but even in disagreement, the fierce loyalty and truly unconditional love we share keeps us both centered in life. Our other bestie, called mom, is to credit (or blame, as our hubbies might say) for the strong women we have become together.
My best friend is my husband. I read once where being in love is when you can see the miracle in someone that others can’t see. That is how I feel about my husband and I and that is why we are best friends.
My mother Bonita Gillis is my absolute best friend! I have come to realize through the years that family will always be there for you, and the bond between and mother and daughter is forever. She believes in me in whatever I do and is always there to support me, and i am her biggest cheerleader. We have one another to lean on, laugh with, cry with and celebrate life with, and I am so thankful and blessed to have her as my best friend.
My name is Shannon Willcutt, and my best friend is Sonya Cockerham. Sonya and I met in college…we graduated together, same major and everything. She and I were very close throughout school…worked on projects together, studied together, shopped together, ate together…we had some great times. After college, we stayed close and in touch, but we both had jobs, were working on families, and life in general just crept in the way. We kept up through Christmas cards and occasional phone calls. However…I will never forget…I posted on my blog about my online Matilda Jane show that I was having (back in the Hammond Bay days!). Sonya called me to order some things for her little girl and for herself…and we have been inseperable ever since! She is the most encouraging, sweetest friend I could ever imagine having. I can call her on my worst of days and on my best of days…she is a one of a kind friend…she cries with me, laughs with me, builds me up, encourages me, and is always cheering me on. I love her so dearly!
My best friend was Margi Sheedy, I say was because she died today 10 years ago today! She was the best thing to ever ever happen to me. When we met I was pregnant with my first child and I was poor and single. She took me in, fed me loved me and never left my side. She was the kindest soul I will ever know. I would call her for every decision. What should I wear, who should I date, even if I farted in the car & it made a funny sound!! The day she died I lost my whole world, I stood in the middle of the street and broke down screaming! I have never felt so lost in my life! How was I going to live without my best friend? Five years after her death my 2nd daughter was born and now instead of mourning today, I celebrate my BFF and my 5 years daughter! I will never be able to replace that friendship and I carry her in my heart every day!
Shelley Wilmer and my best friend from high school Betsy Fauerbach. We may be miles apart but we never miss a beat when we talk or get together. When we are together we laugh like we were never apart, we share our thoughts like it hasn’t been 15+ years since we have been in the same town and we raise the roof on every place we step into like we are not 30+ years old
We have shared special moments in our lives and now, out of complete surprise, my dear friend is going to be a mom. I can’t wait for her to experience that magic and hear all about it.
My name is Erica Poindexter, and I must say that throughout the years I have come to realize that my very best friend is my mom, Nancy Adkisson. She is such a blessing, so very thoughtful, loving, caring… so very selfless. She is a silent teacher with a contagious smile, and the values that she has taught me over the years are the things that truly matter in life. While we may not always understand each other or totally agree on everything, our love and support for each other remain strong. With God at the center of our friendship, then all we have to do is stand still; we are a force to be reckoned with.
It is hard to pick just one ‘best’ friend. My husband is always there for me and is my everything. But, my mom, Karen, and I are like sisters! Sure I was a true teenage girl that was hard on my mom, but she loved me through all of it and is my go to girl. She is always there to help me take care of the kids & the dogs, cook and/or clean when I’m sick and listen to me when I need to complain or share a funny store. We talk every day even it’s just to check in and say hi. On top of always helping me, she is also the first person I call when I get a break from the kids and just want to go for a walk, grab a starbucks or go shopping. I really hope that my relationship with my daughters is as strong as the one I have with my mom!
My name is Shannon Willcutt, and my best friend is Sonya Cockerham. We met in college…we instantley became friends…we were the same major and everything. We studied together, worked on projects together, and found time for fun, too…usually shopping and eating! After graduating college, we remained close, but we both found jobs, were both working on families, and life in general just crept in. We exchanged Christmas cards and an occasional phone call. However…years after our college days…Matilda Jane got us back together…seriously!! I posted on my blog about an online show I was having (back in the Hammond Bay days!!)…Sonya called me, placed an order for herself and her little girl, and we have been inseperable every since!!!! She is the most wonderful friend I could ever imagine…she is my cheerleader…she is my encourager…she is my advice giver…she is my best friend. I can call her on my worst of days and my best of days, and she is right there for me. I love her dearly!!
I am such a goober! I just realized I posted twice…I was looking at the bottom of the posts to find mine, and didn’t see it…I retyped everything, reposted, then saw that BOTH of my comments were at the TOP! Oh well!! *Ü*
Ok, it’s dorky but my best friend is my mom. She’s an amazing woman who raised me practically by herself. She taught me to be independent, self-secure, and how to stand up for myself and to always be a free thinker. “Don’t go with the flow” is her motto and I love her for it. So, dorky or not, my best friend is definitely my mother Lana Doncaster. Together we are two strong, stubborn, and beautiful women.
My mom is my best friend. (cheesy?) We are crazy crafters. We love planning parties, sewing anything, and spending time with family. We have a blast together!
My BFF is actually my two sisters Angela and Tami! The three of us together can get anything done! We all live within 5 miles of each other. They have ALWAYS been there for me. Through the hard times of losing a child to the best of times (actually in the delivery room) when I delivered each of my kids!! They are truly my BFFS and I look up to them so much!!!
My name is Chaney Gipson and my best friend is Erin Richards. We met three years ago when we were new to town in Tyler Texas. Our husbands were in the same residency program and E and I became attached at the hip. You can ask the other wives, it was very rare to see one without the other. Three years went by so fast and now both of our families have relocated. Meaning there have been lots of tears shed. We have been each others rock and now only get to talk on the phone or leave each other messages on Facebook. It is amazing how close you can be with another person even though they live five hours away. I miss her so much, but know that we both think about each other every day even though we may not pick up the phone to talk. So many times friends don’t have to say anything just be there in your heart. Love you Erin (and you girls at 435, thanks for all your hard work)
Chaney Gipson
My name is Pamela Arnett and my BFF is actually my two sisters Angela Martin and Tami Johnson! The three of us together can accomplish anything! We all live within 5 miles of each other. They have ALWAYS been there for me. Through the hard times of losing a child to the best of times (actually in the delivery room) when I delivered each of my kids!! They are truly my BFFS and I look up to them so much!!! I do not know where I would be today without them!!! People may come and go in your life, but sisters are FOREVER!!!!
My best friend is Katherine Huff…we have made it though some crazy stuff…becoming adults, our families, our kids accidents, but most of all our crazy trip to art fair this past year…at 2 am we hit a raccoon, a bat hit the windshield and we got lost 3 times..and through the whole time we laughed and sang “Footloose”
)) We laugh great together!
My name is Stacie Petta and my best friend is Jennifer Scovronski! We have been friends since 6th grade and are now both 32….20 years! Our continued bond (with a 2 hour trip separating us) is our force to be reckoned with! Our friendship continues to grow even with miles between us! That’s true friendship! : )
my name is jill scripps.
my bff is kelly johnson.
we met a few years ago walking our kiddos in the park.
it was perfect.
i needed a friend so bad at that moment.
and i knew we would be friends forever because after our 3 mile walk we ate doritos and chocolate cake. soul mates i tell you
and now that we’ve moved away from each other (2 hours away!)
even if we go a month without talking on the phone (she stinks at answering her phone) WE JUST GET EACH OTHER. simple.
i don’t have to sugar coat anything.
i can cry. and laugh. and tell her i’m mad at her.
and then we get over it.
oy…friendship is an amazing gift. we are lucky if we go our life having found one “true” friend. one that will always be there for you, who knows what you are thinking…before you even mutter a single word. she knows when you just need a hug or simply someone to listen when you need to vent. i have been thinking about my friendships over the years (i am going to be 33 on august 18th)and i realized that i have had a plethora of friends over the years. sometimes you make new friends with a new job or with a new “phase” in your life. kind of like whatever your common interests are, and there isn’t anything wrong with that….but there’s always your goto girl. the one that has been there for you through thick and thin, knows your story better than you do. (sometimes with new friends they don’t really get you…because they have no idea where you come from or what you have been through that makes you who you are in the present) i am so blessed to have two gals that i think of as my best friends. christin pinkert (my oldest friend that i have known since my first day of kindergarten) and my bff letha west. i met letha through work 11 years ago. both of these girls have been there for me to laugh and cry with over the years. they are my goto girls. i love them dearly and can’t imagine my life without either one!
Becky Norton and Erin MacLane. We’ve been best friends since I can remember. We have letters saved that we wrote each other as little girls. We never lived in the same town until we were 18. We have been through a lot together and remained best friends through the ugly and the pretty things. We often call each other “Shine” and I think it fits us perfectly!
My best friend’s name is Louise Porter. I have known her since birth. I have had several best friends come and go though out my life but when it comes down to it, my mom has always been there for me.
She actually introduced me to Matilda Jane. She found a pair of polka dot ruffles at Good Will and brought them home to me. She said “I think these are something.” I looked them up online and have been in love ever since!
When it comes to being a force, that would have to be at garage saling! I’ve been going with her since I can remember and still do every Thursday and Friday. We are the first to get there and we almost always get the best stuff!
She knows me better than anyone and I love her.
My mother Connie Gale Bernier is my bestie….the two of us together make a perfect woman.
Where I lack she excels and vice versa. And she taught me long ago that a good cry is perfectly fine and healthy and necessary….so I have passed that on to my daughter…whom I hope can say the same about me some day. Lots o love, Teoma Court
My namme is Cindy olsen, my best friend is my sister in law, Kathy. She has been my BFF ever since college, then we became sister in law. not only do we tend to think alike but pretty much think alike.
We call each other everyday, we shop for each other kids & we switch off every Sunday at each other house for dinner, trying to make it a tradition for the kids.I am blessed to have her as my BFF.
My best friend is my husband Shea. What makes us a force to be reckoned with is our love for laughter, close friends, great tasting foods and wine, mini adventures around town or big ones across the country, but most of all…making each day count!
My sister Melissa is my best friend and will always be. Growing up we didn’t have a lot of money so we shared a room and came up with our own ways to entertain ourselves. Because of this we created a very strong bond. Though out life we’ve looked out for each other and have taking on all of life’s ups and downs together. We never get in fights or get mad at each other. It’s like we respect and care about each other way too much to care about petty things in life. I never worry about being in a situation that I won’t be able to handle because I know she will always be there by my side and together we can conquer of accomplish anything.
My best friend is my little sister, Madison. She is 8 years younger than me and I would not have said we were best friends when I was in high school and she was always in my room messing with my stuff or bothering my friends and me. But now I am older and I realize how important family is- we share all our memories, family vacations…we live miles apart and always start cracking up and acting giddy on the phone when we know we will see each other soon. We laugh at the same things that no one else thinks is funny. I fed her bottles when she was a baby and just recently saw her graduate college- she is the best sister and best friend!
I’ll never forget the day I met my Andi Bockley. I had just graduated from college and moved to Minneapolis from my small town in Wisconsin, sooooooo excited to be living in a big city for the first time. Andi worked with my new roommate, and had stopped by our apartment to meet the new girl in town. I was utterly stunned by this amazing 6 foot beauty standing in my living room. She had the warmest, sweetest smile and turned out to be the most genuinely kindhearted person I would ever meet. We were instant best friends, inseparable through our 20′s and early 30′s. Together we held each other up during her divorce and the death of her father, the death of my brother and the loss of my baby. We celebrated new loves, marriages, and the birth of our children. We were roommates, then neighbors, and now we live 5 hours away from each other. I miss her every day, but I know that some day we will live in the same city again, maybe when we are little old ladies dressed in crazy outfits, sitting on our front porch reminiscing about how blessed our lives have been. Wendy Schmidt
Rachael Simmons, BFF Shana W. We have been friends since we were 1 years old!! We started out in daycare, and we have been peas and carrots every since. Once we moved on to Elementary, we didnt see each other often, in third grade we moved into a new house and guess who was moving in next to me, U got it my BFF. We spent hours of play together. We even once started a band!!! Lets just say, neither one of us is in the music business!!! As we grow older, not old, just older, we dont get to spend as much time together like we use to! I moved from FL to OK so distance seperates us! I look back at my childhood and there are not many memories that she is not there in them!! But when we get a chance to talk on the phone, or the rare occasions we actually get to see each other, its like time nor distance exisits! We go into this world where its just me and her or (you and ME)and life stops for just a few. We pick up right where we left off. We usually talk till our phones die, or untill we have to say goodbye, but over the years I could not of asked for a better friend!! She will forever be my BFF
Patty and I have each others backs. It is hard to describe. However, when we go somewhere with each and our kids were are always counting (making sure all 6 of them are in toe), anticipating the others next moves, being that second set of hands that you never need to ask for…the ones that just know exactly what you need!! Just one of many reasons…..
My name is Maritza and my best friend is Denise.. We have known each other 34 years (most of our lives). We meet in CCD, I will never forget. I sat next to her in a pew (nervous not knowing anyone or what to expect) and how lucky was I that I sat next to her. She turned towards me and said Hi, I am Denise. And to make a long story short that was the beginning of our friendship.. We are a force because we get each other, it doesn’t matter how long its been since we’ve talked we catch up like we talked yesterday and for some odd reason, when one of us has something going on in our live that is unsettling the other seems to call at that time to catch up..
My best friend is Chandra. She was the one that made me believe in myself and dream big dreams. We’ve cried, laughed, raced and learned together. She is truly a wonderful woman and I’m happy to call her my best friend!
I’m Jacqueline & my best friend is Emily
Friends since we bonded over the math class for kids that didnt get math (we got it we were just lazy) We have been best friends for 17 yrs (more than half our lives!) we have been through so much together that we are more sisters than friends. After each of us had a miscarriage and years of trying we each had beautiful baby girls! 6 weeks apart! So our best friendship made a new best friendship! And at 4 they are a force to be reckoned with also let me tell you <3
I am Rebel Judge and my best friend is – well, actually, it is a 3 way tie between my mom, my husband, and my daughter that leaves for college in exactly 2 weeks – boooo hooo! My mom and I are a pair to be reckoned with as we call ourselves “Cagney and Lacey” – remember that old cop drama??? No one gets anything past the two of us when we are together! My husband – we are a perfect pair as he is the head and I am the heart! And… my daughter- let me just say that I really think they modeled the show “Gilmore Girls” after my Holly and I – but not really as she was yet a small one when the show made it’s debut!
What can I say – family is EVERYTHING!!! : )
My name is Rachel Kee (obviously). My bestest friend is Nikki Wilson. I met her in 1995 in college. She is Australian and amazing. She looks like a short Nicole Kidman. We compliment each other in every way. In college she couldn’t work so I worked my butt off to pay bills and she cleaned and cooked. I helped her with her homework and she read and reviewed my essays for me. Now that we are older we are a force to be reckoned with because we are totally and completely honest…WITH EVERYONE. While I tend to tell things a little bit more politely she gets in there and tells you how it really is. We keep it real always. We got each other’s backs and there will never be ANYTHING that stops us.
My bfFOREVER is Ali Sprigg and you do NOT want to mess with either of us if we have “the belt”.
This will sound totally corny…but it’s my husband Nick. I waited and married a bit later in life so I knew once I did…it was going to have to be to my best friend. If you listen to the Dave Matthews Band song “You and Me” that is TOTALLY us. I’m blessed beyond belief and our love is what makes us a force to be reckoned with. Yeah, yeah…corny…I know.
My name is Dawn and my bestest friends name is Jami! We have known eachother since we were around 10 years old and have stayed friends for over 20 years. Sometimes we go months and months without talking to each other b/c life is so busy, but when we do talk it does not seem like it has been that long since we had spoken. We just pick right up and talk! That is what best friends do. Friends stay friends even though life gets busy!
my best friend is my husband
next year will be 20 years that we married
I still can’t believe it
I don’t need to say anything he understands me, look is enough
I think we are so lucky !
It’simple really. My best friend is Heidi. I moved to a different state from Heidi when I was in 8th grade, but we have remained close for 31 years now. Our friendship is solid…we can go weeks without talking,a year between visits, but when we talk we pick up right where we left off. She helped me through the hardest time of my life from halfway across the USA…I guess our friendship can be summed up on 2 words…SIMPLE AND BEAUTIFUL.
Pam, aka LaLa, is my honest, inredibly hilarious, and sweetheart of a best friend. Our husbands are identical twins so she has become the sister I never had. We both really do know what the other means when we gripe about our loving husband’s quirks and antics
Guilty pleasure? Getting away with not hearing the hubbies. Though my hearing loss is greater than hers, we both sit together after the kids are in bed to giggle together with our wine & make fun of our adorable husbands. We pretend they can’t hear us, but seeing their identical grins across the room, it’s hard to deny.
I’m Annethra and my best friend Michelle are quite the pair, when one don’t think of it the other one does. We are both the type that tells it like it is and don’t beat around the bush so to say..It’s so funny that the other day at work we both got told we couldn’t go to lunch or breaks together cause people were getting jealous that I was favoring her more..I’m a team leader at work that’s why..I was so upset and it felt like a part of me was being taken away..I told her don’t worry we can go to lunch, but drive differant cars that is..LOL I love that girl…=)
I’m Debbie Burke and my best friend is my husband, James. I know you probably wanted us to tell you about our best girl friends, but he really is my best friend and I hav to give him a shout out so to speak. James and I started out as friends for a couple years and eventually fell in love. Got married at 19 and had our first child at 22. The two of us are unstoppable together. It been almost eleven years since we were married and we’ve been through so much together. You name it, we’ve experienced it and moved right through it, most recently the stillbirth of our fourth child Gracelynn. He is an amazing man and I know that his patience, dedication and love for me and our kiddos is what makes us as unstoppable together as we are. Thanks MJC. I never win anything, but I neeed to put it down somewhere just how great my best friend is.
My name is Natisha Heitkamp and my Best Friend is Stacey Schrock. My sister. My hero. My mom. My mentor. My strength (besides God). I have grown with her and together we have both been through so many struggles, from having a mother who is alcoholic, a father who was in a terrible accident when I was 3, leaving him “mentally Retarded”, through both becoming moms at 16, failed marriages, graduating college, long laughs and long cry’s on the phone and the presence of each other. I have NEVER known a stronger woman and have never been more proud to see someone over come all obsticals life may bring and become this amazing parent, wife and sister. you can’t possibly have the life we have without being a force to reckon with!!
However being the most giving and loving people at the same time. God has blessed me with her and I could have never made it without her. We have grown to have strong shoulers with soft loving hands at the same time.
I am Anna Newman and my best friend is Aubrey Farmer. We are a force to be reckoned with because we are 2 strong, booty kickin mommas!!!! We work out together almost every day and no one wants to mess with us. We are named the Fly Girls at our gym
My bff is my sissy Laura. I once sent her a card with the message, “do you ever feel like life is a party and our invitation got lost in the mail?”. It captures us. We have been through it all together, laughing til we cried and crying until we could only laugh. She is my “person” no matter what and forever.
–Carrie Johnson
The line is AMAZING!! I think it might be my favorite of all time!!! Purple is my favorite color….along with Aqua….These colors are beautiful! You did great on this collection!!
Kati Purmort and Kerri Fama… best friends and SISTERS, what could be better! She is there for me and I always have her back. Just sad we live thousands of miles apart. Life stinks like that but always a good excuse for a vacation!!!
My best friend is my sister, Andrea “freakin awesome” Sarapin. We are like a multi vortex torando0, twister sisters live and in person. Together we have conquered U2s inner circle, a 1/2 marathon, backpacking across Great Britain, COLLEGE, near death experiences (ovarian contortion, staph, PPHN, cancer). These days we are just trying to conquer nap time and laundry. We are known singularly as the “RUTLAND GIRLS”. Andrea Sarapin is my left foot, my voice twin, my grip on reality, my filter when complaining, my go to for all things pop culture, my artistc counter balance, my bestfriend. She truly is amazing, and I always pray she learns to own it!!
I adore this new line. LOVE it!! My name is Katie Hundertmark, my best friend Lindsay Ludwig. We went to high school together, roomed together in college, and now we each have 2 girls. We are a force to be reckoned with because we just get each other, we adore our girls more than anything, and we are always there for one another.
My best friend’s name is Stacy, and she is like my co-worker, husband, sister, mom, etc. all in one. I’m a new mom and she’s already “been there, done that” which has made her even a better friend. She listens, takes care of me, and gives me the attention only she would know I needed. She would do anything for me, and I would walk across the world for her
One of my best friends Kelly is so special to me bc growing up in the military I moved a lot to say the least. Kelly also an Army brat was always such a loyal and wonderful friend to me. Even when I moved away we still kept in touch and when we saw each other it was like time never passed. Kelly was one of my bridesmaids and one of my oldest and dearest friends. Kelly died 2 years ago very suddenly and I regret that I never got to tell her goodbye. I hope I was as good of a friend to her as you were to me.
My best friend is my mom, Francisca Morales. We are closer than ever. I think I’m her favorite daughter, but she says she loves all her children dearly but we just happen to get along best( I have best).
We are brutally honest with each other and always bounce off of one another. We have fun and throw caution to the wind. Together we get the job done-whether its grocery shopping, planning dinners, painting rooms, eluding those dang telemarketers ….its like an unspoken system we have-we just get each other. I am honored and blessed to be her daughter-I only hope to be a fraction of what my mommy is.
Maria Tew
ok this should read like this-oops
My best friend is my mom, Francisca Morales. We are closer than ever. I think I’m her favorite daughter,…( have 2 sisters).
Well, I think you hit it out of the park…it is a gorgeous line and I wish I could afford every piece!! Laurie Shaw and my best friend is Crystal DeGroat who was my college roommate many years ago. After a surprise 6th baby (15 years after my youngest) she was my support, the one who made me laugh at the hand of God in the situation and let me cry, sleep, and throw fits without judgement till I found the beauty in my daughter. Gracious beyond words even though she will never have her own children. The perfect godmother and friend. Love her more than words.
The story of our friendship has it all. There are very few life experiences that aren’t included in the journal of our lives. Marriage, job loss, death of a parent, births of children, celebrations, failures, laughing so hard we pee our pants, crying so hard the tears won’t come anymore. Our friendship is definitely rich in experiences. But those things just enhanced an already thriving bond between soul sisters. The reason we are a force to be reckoned with is her sense of style and my biting wit. Her ablilty to always remain polite and my untamed need to tell it like it is. The way she always thinks of me and the way I always think of her. We are a force to be reckoned with because you can’t get one of us without the other. I know what her faces mean from across the room and she knows when to step in and take care of business. Kathleen and I share more than the typical bond of friendship. Our hearts feel each other. If you are fortunate enough to have a friend like her, you are fortunate enough.
If you asked my 4yr old daughter Charlotte she’d say “my mommy is my best friend”. She tells me this several times a day. If I really think about we spend more time together than anyone else, we shop together like girlfriends and make each other laugh. I couldn’t ask for a sweeter child and I am honored to be her best friend:)
Oh Sam, what an AWESOME post and what an AMAZING line! You must be SO proud of what you’ve accomplished – y’all have truly outdone yourselves with this launch!
My sister, Wendy, is my BFF ~ we laugh, cry, get annoyed, chirp at eachother, and still at the end of the day, don’t even have to say a word. She gets me. Genuinely gets me – which, in all honesty, is kind of amazing all on it’s own because *I* don’t even get me half the time!!

Keep doing what you’re doing, and thanks so much for pouring your heart and soul into what you do – it shows!!!
Jamey
My BFF from 3rd grade was Tracy. I moved away a few years later and we stayed good friends but then fell out of touch through high school, college, and beyond. I missed her though. A couple of years ago we found each other again and it was like we just picked up where we left off. Her husband was asking her why she could be so friendly with me after not seeing each other for almost 20 years, she told him that the time didn’t mean anything. I think that is what a BFF is, someone who you can just pick up with no matter how long you’ve been apart.
My best friend in the whole wild world is Heather Martin. We have been BFFs since the high school days not quite 20 yrs ago. We have been there for each other for all the major stuff! She makes me laugh, cry, and just be myself! We both LOVE LOVE LOVE This You and Me line! It’s the best yet!
My Mother is my BFF in the whole entire world. It’s so cheesy but she really is. I was diagnosed with a deadly staph infection a few years back and she was at my bedside every minute of every day taking care of me. Luckily, I survived to tell about it and I am the mother I am today because of her. Oh and we are also serious cry babies too
We never go a day without talking and not just one time either. She is my rock and my hero
Love you MJC girls! Teddi Linkous and my mother is Patti Frazier
Hello my name is Emily Ceo and my best friend is my college room mate, Marcia Oviedo. We can answer each others questions before we even ask. She came to my Matilda Jane Trunk show tonight and she doesn’t even have children but she still loves the adult clothes! She’s my confidence, I can tell her anything and she never judges me. I’m lucky to have her as my best friend. You & Me we’re a great pair.
I know, I know, but my best friend is seriously my Mom. It wasn’t always this way but I’ve really grown to respect her and not only think of her as my Mom but also as Doris, my friend. We were never that close growing up which is something that I missed and resented her for but it took a lot of hard work to forgive her for not being there for me. Now I couldn’t imagine my life without our special bond and cherish all the moments we share as we don’t see each other that much now. So that’s that, my name is Joanne and I have the best mom and friend in the world. Thanks for letting me share my story.
My full name is Rebekah Dawn Hubley and my best friend is Jennifer Ridgway. We have been friends since college, which is getting to be a long time ago..
We worked together in NYC at a inner city kids camp during the summer throughout college. She was in my wedding and I photographed her wedding in Colorado Springs. We have vacationed together in Florida as pregnant as beasts… We will always and forever be friends!!! She is that friend that you can go months without talking to because life has gotten in the way, and when you talk, you reconnect as if it were just minutes from your last conversation. She is a rule follower, I am a rule breaker!!! We still know each others thoughts after all of these years and our miles apart. We just visited my grandma in PA last week and Jennifer’s house is 1/2 way there and right off the interstate. She is that friend that I can call and say we are heading through, and my kids think it is the best rest stop ever. Last week we did this… She had her kids at the pool, but when she knew I was coming, she came to her house, got out her slushie maker, and we had slushies on her front porch… We left for the rest of our trip back to IN and they went back to the pool. She is just that amazing friend that you don’t find often and when you do, you want to cherish it for ever because you know how lucky you are! I love Jennifer and I can always count on her when I need her!!! Our simple yet amazing friendship is a force to be reckoned with because it is tried and true and has lasted beyond the test of time and distance.
My BFF is my twin sister Pam (aka Sister). Even our friends refer to the other of us as “Sister”. We have to talk on the phone at least 10 times a day. I even find myself “needing” to call and tell her something and then realize it’s too late at night and she’s asleep or one of us is out town and can’t get phone reception. People ask me what it’s like being a twin and it’s hard to explain because I wouldn’t know what it was like without one. But I just try to tell them it’s like having someone you can do anything with, call and talk to about anything, and be around each other and NEVER get tired of one another.
My name is Kylie Lee and my best friend Megan Rosier, well Megan Woodall now have been best friends since childhood. We know each others secrets, likes, dislikes, and how to make each other smile. Megan has been there for me through many hard times in my life, she was there through my parents divorce, through all the highschool drama (you know girls always come with drama, and the birth of my daughter Camdyn who is now four. Megan is one of those friends I can always call on when times get rough or just when I need a good laugh, I talk to her everyday. Everyone says that when me and megan are together no one can get a word in edge-wise, we talk fast, and often interrupt each other, and at times finish each others sentences! It doesnt matter to us if no one else can understand us, we understand each other and thats all that matters! A good friend is a great thing to have.
Today is my wedding anniversary and I’m celebrating with my dear husband, who is also my best friend. Growing up I admired my grandparents and the wonderful friendship they shared. So, my husband and I chose their wedding date to be our wedding date. Marriage isn’t all blue skies and rainbows, but we made a commitment to make it work and that’s what we do each day. I hope some day our children and grandchildren recognize the special friendship my husband and I share. I also hope they find the same kind of fulfillment in their own lives.
I am Jeana and my best friend is Sherry. We have known each other for 29 years and I love her dearly. Even though she is now on the West Coast and I am on the East Coast – we have super crazy busy lives – as soon as we get together (which is never often enough) we pick right up like no time has passed. She understands me like no other… I think I need to call her right now
My best friend is Carol Ann. We understand eachother and have a mutual respect. She gets me and I get her. That is the most simple way to express our friendship. She is one of the most caring, generous people I know. She would give you the shirt off her back, if she knew it would make you happy. Our husbands are best friends, too, so put us four together and it is non stop laughter.
Before commenting on contest I have to say I am soooooo impressed with the “You & Me” collection, it truly is beautiful… you girls make a great team
).
My name = Lesleigh Chollet
Okay this is a hard one. I have many close friends and people I love so dearly. When it comes down to it I truly have 3 best friends (I’m so lucky!). My mom, Bonnie, is such a wonderful and caring person. We are always there for one another and can talk about anything, do anything, and enjoy just being in eachothers’ company. I’ve been best friends with her a super long time (my entire life) so we are for sure a force to be reckoned with ;o). My husband, Steve, is my best friend because our love is strong and we have so much fun together and have a way of laughing about the smallest things. Together we make life a very fun adventure! Lastly my daughter, Keeleigh, is for sure one of my best friends. She is only 3 years old but the love and friendship we have is beyond any words or description I could give. She is truly so much sunshine and love in my life! Ahhhh I love them all so much!!!
Hi, I’m Brandie Cockerham, and I can’t just name one Best Friend, just can’t. My BESTIES are Lindsey Owen and Sara Brown. Both in different states, but they are my sisters!!! When I am with either one, there is NOTHING we can’t do that isn’t fun. When one is weak the other is strong. We know how to scrape each other off the ground, motivate and inspire each other. My two girls are in different states than I, but time has no part in distance, we always pick up where we left off. They are always a lil’ piece of home for me.
My name is Deanna Napolitano. My bestest best friend is Jenine Grzywinski. She is my solid rock…the only one that I can tell my deepest most personal secrets to. We can go months without talking to each other and when we finally do talk…it’s like the months never passed. She was the only one who kept my chin up while struggling through infertility and the absolute first to cheer me on when bringing home my first daughter from China. I am glad you had this contest. It made me realize I need to call her and tell her how much I love her and thank her for being…well for just being her. You and me….me and you…my best friend whom I could never live without.
My Best Friend is Jamie Kirtley and has been for some 20 years. We met as unlikely friends in 6th grade. She was the jock, I sat on the sidelines. But somewhere in that 6th grade art class where we sat next to each other simply because our names were in alphabetical order…we became the best of friends. Countless hours on the phone, boyfriends, high school, college, husbands, babies…we’ve done it all together! She’s my sounding board and I’m hers. We give each other the confidence to do what we were unsure if we could do on our own. For that, I am so thankful. My family and I are heading to see her family this weekend and I couldn’t be happier! Now, we not only have our unbelievable friendship…one where you can share anything…but our husbands and kids are friends too. Simply amazing.
My BFF is Danielle, and we’ve known each other since grade school. We were college roomies, and I think what makes us a force to be reckoned with is the fact that we can make anything a good time. Lounging around in PJs on a Saturday morning? Best time ever together; I have a lot of memories of college but those are my favorites. We both have little boys who are recent big brothers to baby sisters. She’s not much for shopping, but I am – I gave her two boxes of clothing last month and I’m sure in the years to come there will be some MJC in those boxes for her daughter from mine!
my name is beth richey and i would have to say my best friend is emily d. – a girl i met at work five years ago, who was my biggest competition (healthy, good competition) and who helped me become a better person both personally and professionally. it’s rare you find someone who truly wants to help you be the best you can (in a corporate work environmnet) and it was a welcomed change to find a true, genuine friendship in our environment. we are about the same age, but at different stages in our lives, however we share this unique bond and understanding of each other. we are the yin and yang, we balance each other out and i had never even met her in person until this past february and we both had big major meetings at 8AM the next morning but we were so giddy to finally meet each other we spent all night talking (until like 4AM) and ran on starbucks the next day. i absolutely adore her she is such a neat person! we talk every day – she is my rock. she has no children, however is cute as a button and will make darling kiddos one day.
My name is Courtney Voss and my BFF is Amy Klomp. We have been so for more than half our lives (16, to be exact-since the 6th grade:). We bonded over tragedy. My father passed away suddenly that fall, and hers was having kidney failure, going thru the steps of having a transplant. Thankfully, her father had a successful transplant that spring and is still doing well. A best friend is one who goes through both the fantastic times of life, and (for lack of a better word) shitty, seems as though life would never-gonna-end times as well. You can make eachother laugh and cry; be truthful and tell the little white lies as needed, and most importantly, talk for hours, whether you last spoke 6 minutes ago, or six months ago. Oh, and on another note-the new line is AMAZING!
Hi
my name is Josiane Allain and my best friend’s name is Elissa. We’ve been friends since kindergarten but inseperable since the 7th grade. She’s the one who made me realize what the meaning of BFF was. We’ve been there through it all for each other, lots of ups and downs, including her moving away and having to get through high school without her but she’s the only person in the world that even after not speaking for months, we go right back to the same old
I was at an Eminem concert and when he started singing “Without Me” I got sad that Elissa wasn’t there with me because we spent our entire summer after graduating driving around in my mom’s car desperately trying to learn the lyrics. I can still sing the entire song by heart and we still burst out in high school girl giggles and sing it at the top of our lungs everytime we hear it <3
Now I'm teary eyed because I miss her! lol Thanks for reminding me I gotta call her and catch up <3
My best friend is my sister. Sounds cheesy I know, but honestly for the first 30 years we could hardly stand each other and fought about everything. We were mean and awful to each other
The year I turned 30 I found myself pregnant with my first child. I don’t know if it was the hormones or what but all of a sudden we were getting along. “Your different now, I like you better this way” she told me. She was in the hospital room with me “holding a leg” (as she calls it) while my husband held my hand and my daughter entered this world. She’s now my daughter’s Godmother, we talk all the time, she and my daughter share the same dimples and they are a constant reminder to me of how far my sister and I have come.
I am Courtney Carmichael and my best friend is Kary Pickard. Kary and I met three years ago in Children’s Hospital, when I started my current job. We are RNs in the neonatal intensive care unit. We were quite the unlikely pair at first, as we handly the stresses of our job, and life in general, in nearly opposite manners. As Kary and I became friends through our work, we suddenly found ourselves begining the journey of motherhood together. Now our children are best friends and the two of us are inseparable. Our differences compliment each other perfectly. There isn’t a situation that we can’t handle together….parenting, caring for patients, or even saving lives and mourning those that we couldn’t. I do have a very high stress job, but I know as long as Kary is by my side there isn’t anything we can’t make it through with a smile. We are a force to be reckoned with
My name is Stephanie Reid and my best friend’s name is Kristin Stuppy. We met 3 years ago at a La Leche League Picnic, shortly after our sons were born. We both had huge babies. We were both amazed at how big our babies were. Anyway, we quickly became friends and both of us were first-time mothers. It was and still is reassuring to talk, text, email or visit with her to support each other in our journey through motherhood and life. We are both kinda granola moms, and try to keep abreast of research, articles and books to learn more about health and wellness for ourseleves and our families. We started cloth-diapering together when our sons were about almost 2 years old. Kristin then went into the cloth-diaper business, at the same time I looked into becoming a Trunk Keeper. We both try to support each other’s efforts in our new business ventures and are happy to help each other out. Our sons turn 3 this week and I’m so glad to have Kristin in my life<3
All I can say is thank God for Best Friends. My BFF, Karen Gage, has been there for me since 7th grade and we have had the time of our lives growing up together. She married her high school sweetheart, and when I broke up with mine, she introduced me to the man I ended up marrying. I’m the crazy one and she’s the level headed one so we compliment each other well. We laugh about how much trouble we will be in when our daughters are teenagers. Luckily we’ll know all the tricks. Been there, done that.
For now, we’re enjoying raising our daughters as friends and dressing them all in the cutest clothes ever. Thanks MJC.
My name is Brandy Wade. My best friend is Becki. She is the cream in my coffee. The kind of girl who doesn’t try to be funny, but does random honest hilarious things. We couldn’t be more different, but we can go 6 months without seeing each other and pick up right where we left off. We have been kicked out of many places for laughing too loud…thats not a bad thing, right?
I’m the proud best friend of an awesome chickie named Maggie – or Mags, but only I’m allowed to call her that! We’ve been BFF’s for 18 years – long before husbands, kids, real jobs… She’s the one that just understands things, without me explaining it. The one that loves my children like they were hers and tells me when I’m full of crap. After all we went through together, we were thrilled to both have boys. These boys both turned out to be sensitive, sweet little things but ironically, both faced similar challenges. And the later, without planning it, we both got pregnant with little girls – that are 2 weeks apart. (Hers however is sweet and somehow I got the wild one and she doesn’t want to trade HA!). To say I adore her is an understatement – she is my best friend, my confidant, my support system, my cheerleader. Just writing this makes me teary – I am so grateful and so lucky to have my Mags as my best friend!
My name is Amanda Hood. My bestie is Jessie Dewey. We are kindred…true soul mates. We are now 33, and have been best friends since high school. She is a Republican. I am a Democrat. She is a Christian. I am an Agnostic. She is 5’3. I am 5’8. We are an amazing, unstoppable Scrabble, Euchre, Scattergories and Taboo team! We are crazy coupon clipping, crossword playing scrapbookers. We love each other for who we have become since our junior year in high school. With four girls between us (and seven children total), we enjoy teaching our daughters about the joys of diversity and the strength of female friendship. With our coffee cups held high, we are forever inseparable.
My name is Maranda and my bff since high school is named Leslie. Through separate colleges several hours apart, marriage, children, new homes, new jobs… All of lifes major events, we’ve stayed close. She is such a fun, confident, easy going person. We can always find something in every situation to laugh about. We are definitely forever friends!
My best friend is my “cousin” Sue–we are coworkers, and she knew me well enough to introduce me to her first cousin, who is now my husband, and because of her, we have our beautiful daughter Tess. So though we just started out as friends…we’re now related! Seeing her at every holiday makes it that much more special.
Hi wonderful MJC crew! My name is Joy Williams. My best friend other than family is Stephanie Fisher. We act like family. We get each other. We would do anything for each other. In fact, when I was in the hospital and needed blood I asked Steph if she would give blood for me. She is deathly afraid of needles and didn’t blink. When the tornadoes touched down in my area earlier this year I was away. I didn’t even asked to ask her to travel 30 miles to check on my house after the storm. She just did it and took a picture with her phone and sent me a text with the info. On her birthday I am the one to show up with a homemade cake. We take random road trips to places that our kids love just because. We are unpredictable but loving every minute of it!
My bff is actually my mother.. Strange as that sounds, she is always there for me. We always take up for each other and do what we can to help each other out.. I just hope my 2 daughters one day feel the same way
My best friend is my hubby Jason. Through long term illness battles, remodeling a dilapidated old house (which still isn’t done!), raising three children (in this crazy, amazing old house!), and the many ways we look to improve the welfare of our home town & the people around us, we are in it together. And we can talk about anything. Anything. Who has that anymore?? My name is Nissi Dolan and I swear I have the best friend a girl could dream of.
Well, my name is Amy and I want to tell you about my absolute best friend. We often say we’ve been friends since we were in the womb.. And I guess that’s true.
our families went to the same church and our mothers had us a month apart. I’m pretty sure they layed us in the nursery side by side and the rest was history!
and so.. Nearly 27 years later I have never once had to change my answer. Lauren has always been and always will be my best friend.. I’d walk through fire for her and her family and I know without a doubt she’d do the same for me.
We have been through some really amazing times and some really heartbreaking times. We have been through it all.. We’ve been so blessed to be together for all the good times but have also watched each other make some pretty terrible decisions. But here’s the deal, our friendship never wavered. That’s the thing about love.. When you love someone you may not always like what they’re doing (and you don’t have to) but you’re gonna love ‘em!
My sweet friend Kasey and I went to high school together and stayed in touch over the years. But it wasn’t until we both found out we were pregnant together that we became super super close. Although she lives across the country she somehow knows just when to call, just what to say and when to just listen. I know she won’t judge me for my sticky floors and imperfections. And when I need to vent she understands. Always. We just get each other. and what’s even funnier is that we kind of read each others minds… It’s like all those miles of separation doesn’t stop her from knowing she needs to call! My name is Marissa and my best friend is Kasey
I have to say I have been blessed to have soooo many wonderful people in my life and my best friend…Courtney, we’ve been friends for over 25 years! We don’t live really close and we might not be able to talk or see each other as much as we would like…but if we call one another and hear silence on the other end of the line, we know to stop everything and jump in the car. We are always there for each other. We know each others secrets…each others history. We laugh, we cry and from time to time we disagree…but NOTHING will ever break us apart…and that is such a comfort.
Cara Tullio and my best friend by far is my Fiancee Mike De Guire … corny YES …. but 100% totally TRUE
and to be even more corny ….. he completes me …. I am happier then I have ever been …. he can make me laugh with a look, make me smile with a whisper …. Gosh I love him …. and our 7 (seven) yes 7 kids we have between us …. I love our life together!!
I’m Dayle and my best friend is my sister-in-law Ashley. Put us together and we are definitely a force to be reckoned with. We honestly love all of the same things. God, our family, living and loving life. We love a bargain! We just enjoy taking the old and making it new and fabulous! We definitely find pleasure in the small things in life.
Hi, my sister, Erin, is my best friend. She’s 7 years younger than me, but she was the one thing I always wanted(well her and a mini van haha- yes I got it!), and one day I finally got her! We are two totally different people but watching her grow up and listen to her and see how similiar, yet wildly different, she is from me is wonderful. She’s the person I’m the closest to, who I laugh the most with over things only she and I understand, and who loves to do the same things I love with me. And as long as she’s around, no matter what I do, I always have a good time; she always brightens up the room. We might fight and scream at each other sometimes (who doesn’t?!) but I love her and think she is the greatest thing in the world; and even though she’s young, she just gets it and is mature beyond her years, and is just an amazing person. I hope everyone else has someone like that in their lives…. I should probably tell her all this, too.
My name is Amy and my best friend is Kim. Kim and I (AKA “Double Trouble”) have taught the fourth grade, next door to each other, for the past 15 years. While our teaching styles are similar, our personalities are quite different. She is the renegade, always speaking her mind and going against the grain, and I am more easy going, always seeking a way to keep us out of trouble. We balance each other, and without her, I would be off-kilter!
I’m in the military and its really hard when you move around so much (every few years) to maintain friendships. I have lots of friends…but right now I have a BFF Rebecca (at my new base that is SOO far from home)that gets me through life. She understands me, and is also in the military and has kids and is so much FUN!
Me: JoAnne Johnson
Her: Rebecca Dudley
Im Shannon Campbell and my best friend is my sister in law Jen Campbell. We married brothers and for the past 12 years have had each others back no matter what! we have survived so many “mother in law” battles together and we know we could never have been through it without each other! We have been pregnant a total 0f 7 times between the 2 of us and all 7 pregnancies were GIRLS!! we each have 2 living daughters who are all best friends as well!! I knew we would be friends forever when at her bachelorette party she looked at me and said you have to marry scott! you cant leave me in this crazy family alone! I still laugh about that!!
I don’t have one best friend, I have four. We’ve been friends forever… A love for music brought us together, being true to each other keeps us together. But most of all, we love each other not for who we were, but who we’ve become.
My best friend is Molly Karmazin and she just happens to be my sister! What makes us a force to be reckoned with – we are fiercely loyal. I never doubt that no matter what I do – my sister will always have my back and be supportive of me and my decisions! What is even better about my sister is that she is such a MJC type of girl, she is sophisticated (she is a dentist), but has this light-hearted, unpredictable funny side to her that just cracks me up and never fails to lift my spirits! On top of that she is the person who looks for the best in people and always finds it!
Holly is my best friend. She is also my sister. Which makes her the best kind of best friend. We live many miles apart, but we are always there for each other. We take care of each other. Together in the best and worst times. No matter what changes in life we are always true to each other.
Jenn Khurshid
For 30 years my younger sister Sydney (Montei Pineda) & I have been a force to be reckoned with! When I stood up to the female bus bully that was 2 years older for pulling my kindergarten sister’s braids, she knew I’d always have her back. (Although, I’m pretty sure that was the last time I fought any of her battles. She’s often kicked MY butt since then.) She is the only one that gets & understands my neuroses. I will try to be the physical & mental support she needs after welcoming twin girls into the world this holiday season (even though Lake Michigan separates us). These 2 new blessings will make 3 litle girls under the age of 15 months for her & her husband. She’s the calm one about the situation, while I’m freaking out for her. She’s the bubble bath to my whirlpool and I couldn’t wish for a better best friend to balance & challenge me!
Gretchen and dana! We are two peas in a pod! We hit it off in the beginning and we haven’t slowed down since! We both have girls that are 5 and 2, and boy do we have our work cut out for us! There is never a dull moment around us so beware! I couldn’t ask for a more loyal friend! Everyone should have a “Dana n Gretchen ” friendship !
Lindsay and I are now officially 30 years old, which means we have been best friends for 30 years. We met in the nursery at church and have been here for each other ever since no matter where life leads. She is the sister my parents didn’t have, my sleepover buddy, my candy sneaking friend, my kindergarten lunch pal, my undefeated 3 legged race co-champion, my middle school therapist, my maid of honor, and now, my fellow mommy. Between us, we have 3 little princesses, and a precious little boy. I truly hope we will show our little ones what friendship is all about.
I’d have to say my best friend is Amy Suloff. How we became the most perfect friends through an Ebay discussion board about American Girl and Disney vacations is beyond me. That was 5 years ago. We’ve met once in person (last October at Disney World of course) but when we get on the phone, we talk for hours. Our girls were mailing clothes for each other to borrow for years now and when her daughter saw us at Disney (she had no idea we’d be there) she hugged my daughter (2 years younger than she) like they were long lost sister. Tears in all of our eyes. We are just invincible together-silly and strong and understanding. We quote the same silly movies (fat man in a little coat), love the same foods and cherish our daughters to the end of the earth. We can vent to each other when our husbands work too much. She’s probably the only person who “gets” my obsession with clothes because she shares the same obsession. She inspires me to be a healthier, happier person. We are exactly alike in more ways than i can tell you here. Just describing her to someone puts a smile on my face.
i’m lindey magee and my bestie is my mom diane hughes. we are a force to be reckoned with because we are the most vastly different, yet exactly the same personalities imaginable. we’re either on the same page or clashing terribly, but are able to respect the other through it all. she has taught me to that i might not always be right, even though i happen to be most of the time ;o)
on another note…you girls outdid yourselves with y&m. it’s fabulous…be proud!
My best friend is my sister, Heather. We are a force to be reckoned with because when we believe in something we stand strong together. I have her back, always. And she has my back, always. Don’t mess with the Mamma bears- especially when their four daughters are all decked out in their MJ!
Sorry, forgot- my full name is Michelle Pomfrey:).
My best friend is Jeff. We have been friends for over 35 years!! We met in middle school but really knew we were best friends in high school. We loved each other too much to ever date because losing the friendship was what meant the most to us. His sister and my sister were best friends too! We live 1000 miles apart but rarely go a day without talking and always wish we lived down the street from each other so we could share our daily lives more and raise our girls together…..he and his wife will have twin girls very soon…..can’t wait to introduce MJ to them!! Without a twinkle of a doubt we are there for each other, and always have been…….through the good and the bad, tears and laughs, NEVER judging, just loving each other as best friends do…..that is what makes us a force to be reckoned with……there for each other always….unconditional love!
I know this has been said many many times, but my best friend FOREVER, is my sister, Jennifer Goulet. We have been through a lot of great times, and many tough times together, and the one thing that always rings true, is that we are here for each other! We have had our fights, our days without speaking to each other, our name calling, not so nice times over the years, but when push comes to shove, she has my back and I have hers and this past fall, when we gave birth to our baby girls just days apart from each other, it was the most wonderful feeling, knowing and hoping, that our little girls, could grow up to be as close as her and i are!!!!!!!
I am so blessed to say that I can’t pick just one best friend…I have 3 of them…and all 3 of them unique and perfect for who they are and what they bring to my life. Jen–for her love of God and the spiritual influence she has in my life (I did not know Him before I met her 5 years ago). Tracy–for knowing EVERYTHING about me and still loving me just the same. Jennifer–for being my fun, crazy, sweet partner in crime. All 3 live in different cities, give me fun places to visit, promise lovely phone coversations, and ground me in so many different ways. They each represent a part of who I was, who I am, and the kind of person I want to be. So completely and totally inspiring.
My name is Susie Sommers and my best friend(s) would have to be my two older sisters, Jenny and Letha. They are always there for me through good and bad. We live all over the US and don’t see each other often enough but any time that we get together is treasured time.
My name is Denise Jibben and my BFF is Ashely Harris. We have been firends for 14 years now. She is like the sister I always wanted, but never had. We have been through everything together (school, jobs, dating, loss of loved ones, our children). No matter how mad or upset we get with each other, we always work it out. Now my son is 3 and says he is going to marry her daughter. Hopefully they will be best friends just like us. I don’t know where I would be without her.
My husband truly is my best friend–oh the stuff he puts up with (especially around an exciting MJ Release) in a house FULL of little women… But, right now, I’m absolutely engrossed in getting ready for my new school year with my brand new class of Firsties… Oh, that is exciting… My best school friend is Megan–she and I are unstoppable when it comes to planning for and teaching our little friends!
P.S. Sam, you and Denise did too good of a job–My order is RIDICULOUS, and it’s really pared down…
My name is Danna Miller. Gabby Kerr is not only my neighbor but my bff! I am very quiet, mellow and easy going. She is the opposite. She is crazy, loud and fun. When I am down I just walk next door and she knows exactly how to cheer me up. When she wants to relax she comes to my house. We always have fun and even if we don’t see each other for weeks we pick up right where we left off. She is the best!!
My best friend is my hubby John. He is truly amazing – as a father, son, firefighter and best friend. He is the calm before the storm (me!). Together, with our 3 girls – we are a force to be reckoned with because we can do anything together and we do everything together. We are the hometeam…the Farah 5!!
Ooh…Sorry Sam…my full name is Courtney Puhl and by the way…you should have all the confidence in the world. You are a so beautiful and crazy talented…you know that don’t you??
Oh Sammmm…first, You & Me is aMAzing and girl, you done us all proud. Just sayin. THis might be my favorite line so far. I just love love love the warm colors, the mix of the brick red and brown with the awesome summer-to-fall blue. Swoon.
On besties…you made me cry, all over again. I think it’s more the timing than anything.
My best friend was, IS Roger Earl Engle. He was an amazing young man who taught me to always look up, to trust yourself even when noone else does, to live every day as fully and appreciatively as possible and to always “drive fast and take chances.”
Roger passed away in a skydiving accident shortly after we turned 22.
http://airwolf.lmtonline.com/news/archive/0801/pagea9.pdf
The crash was about 2 weeks after his bday, actually, but the gifts he gives me live on and on. It has been 12 years and a few ago he brought his amazing family back into my life when I most needed it, not long after losing my own little brother and they have enveloped me as their own. His dad fills the role of the one I never had and his own little brother calls me big sister and vice versa. I see a spirit much like Roger’s in my youngest daughter Evelyn and I have to wonder about how that all works, you know?
It’s ironic to me that you posted this the day you did. Roger’s accident, the day he joined his maker doing the very thing he loved most in this whole world, was the night you sat anticipating the release of your baby, July 31st (1999.)
Anyway….this comment is too long already but AWESOME job, sister!! TRUST YOURSELF, you are amazing, we all love you, and even when you’re nervous, drive fast and take chances, because the only things we regret are the things we never try.
xxoo

P.S. My name is Jen Kraydich, which was probably obvious. lol
Me and my bestie Karen Yeager…
Y – young friends…met in elementary school
O- outrageous adventures over the last 29 years!
U- understanding… forever and always no questions asked!
&
M- meaningful… period.
E- exceptional friends forever and always.
xoxo
My name is Amy and my best friend is Julie. We met in third grade when I colored her LONG beautiful hair with a crayola marker because I was envious of it. We’ve been best friends for almost 30 year!!! We have seen each other through everything, including most recently adoption of a foster daughter with special needs. I love her and I can’t imagine life without her by my side. friendship like this is so rare and I never take a moment of it for granted.
You should have all the confidence in the world. What an accomplishment this line was. The element of surprise just makes I that more exciting (and nerve wracking I am sure)! Thanks for keeping our girls and mamas looking and feeling beautiful. How many times my 6yo said “it’s sooo soft!” yesterday was ridiculous! Kudos to all at 435.
My name is Carla and my best friend is Jessie. WE are a forced to be reckoned with as we fight her breast cancer together. She was diagnosed the same week that I had my newborn, and she was there for me and hid her own fears to support me when my son was born. Now, it is her turn to have her surgery and win this battle, and we are going to win it together. There have been tears, and some laughter as we joke about the perfect reconstruction she can have done now, but there is no doubt in my mind that my friend of 20 years will beat this, and I will do anything I can to help her.
My name is Megan Prasal my BFF is Joann Esparza. The thing that makes us unstopable is that we are not only BFFs but we are sister in laws, the moment we first met (me as her brothers wife) we just clicked and we have been best friends ever since. She is the sister and bestfriend I always dreamed of. We are always there for each other. <3 Love her.
My name is Julie Ruster and my best friend is definitely my husband, Matt Ruster!! He is my rock…my everything!! My life would not be complete without him. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and best friend!!!
My name is Amy Wamsley and my best friend is Ashley Freeman…we are a force for sure! We grew up in Asheville, NC together and became best friends in high school. Have you heard the saying cut from the same cloth? That’s us, we have southern roots, love college football, a little Hank Jr., a good shot of Jim Beam and then can turn around and be the most charming girls at a Junior League meeting you have ever met. We are so good together because we are both confident girls, we walk into a room believing we are the cutest girls in town (whether we are or not we never really worry about). We have grown up together, gone through college together, gotten married together and had babies together. We are those girls that can go 6 months without talking and pick up like we have been together everyday…there is nothing better than a best friend!!
i’m lovelyn palm & my best friend is my sister, krystal hudspith. she is 13 months older than me and i cannot imagine doing life without her. we’ve had so many fun memories, but this stage of life is super fun. between us, we have 9 children under the age of 9 and soon we will add 2 more to that. she has been our biggest cheerleader as we have waited for our 2 children to come home from uganda, africa. i love having her to share life with.
My best friend is my husband eli. What makes us a force o be reckoned with is we have each others back no matter what it is even if we don’t understand the cause. While I am at work my husband will be a refreshing platinum fool-he doesn’t get it but he does it because it s important to me. I will sit with him while he throws a line in the water-not because I like fishing I hate it but because he loves it ( I am also there to make sure no fish are actually caught).
One of my best friends Molly and I are a forced to be reckoned with. You know you have a friend when you can share everything together. The good the bad the ugly and of course the funny!
I used to call her out of the blue and just sing silly songs I just made up just for her. (wedding day and all) My way of bringing laughter to her day. We can call each other with days or weeks we have been apart and just pick up and laugh. The laughs we just have so many silly stories and can just crack each other up.
We feed on each others quirks and we just go with it. Big hugs to my girl Beguuuula! aka (Molly Begala Haworth)
My husband, Steve is my BEST FRIEND!!! I met him when I was 16 years old and he has been my best friend, husband and father of my son! Going on 12 years together we are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to life in general though….moving, jobs, health, families and faith!
My best friend is Lisa. We have been friends since I was in 10th grade and she was in 9th. We are now both 34, so it’s been awhile. While that alone makes us a force to be reckoned with, what really does is our ability to pick-up where we left off no matter how often (or not) we get to see each other. I live in NY and she is in MA. We both have full-time jobs and kids. We talk on the phone weekly and online daily, but see each other far less than we would like. When we do get together (it isn’t as easy as it used to, but try to make it happen at least once or twice a year) it’s like we saw each other yesterday. Back in the “good old days” of spending days on end at each others houses watching bad horror movies (you know the ones on the bottom shelf in the giant boxes that NO ONE rents?), working together at the local ice arena, and “watching tv” together while on the phone (something our husbands yet to understand). We know each other inside and out. It’s amazing to be so lucky to have such a great best friend. We hope to be a force to be reckoned with at 435 in 2012!!
I have 2 best friends, my 2 sisters. We are a force to be reckoned with because we stick together and have each others backs. We all live in the same neighborhood and the three of us were all pregnant at the same time. (our kids are 7 weeks apart!).
Andrea and BFF Natalie. What makes us friends is similar to everyone else…. just lots of similarities. (Like a knack to not only pick out identical clothes for ourselves, not on purpose, but dress our daughters in the same thing too… once again, not on purpose). However, we became friends because of you… MJC. We both fell in love with MJC clothes at a trunk show when it wasn’t even called MJC, but Cleo and Dot… and we’ve been friends ever since. So, thank you for bringing us together!!!
My BFF’s name is Rose. We are there for each other through it all, the ups and downs. Both of her parents passed away when she was younger, and my family has stepped in to make her feel more like a sister to me. I was there for the birth of her first baby girl 2 years ago, and she was there when I had both of mine. We laugh and have fun, and really just make memories with the time we do have…. she knows all to well about life being cut short. Love her!!!!
My name is Julie Lollar and my best friend is my little sister Jenny Bell. We are complete opposites! I’m the creative, artsy daydreamer and shes the brainy, organized and grounded one. Therefore we balance each other nicely. We love each other and our girls fiercely. I have 3 girls and she has 1 one so far. I love her little girl like I love my own and vice versa. She knows me better than anyone and I don’t know what I’d do without her!
My daughter is currently my best friend, because even at 6 she is an amazing person to be with every day. Together we are full of energy and positive feelings that we can accomplish anything!!!! [note: she has other best friends thankfully...]
My BFF is Kara. Seriously, you need to meet her! She has the best sense of humor and isn’t afraid to “tell me like it is…” and trust me, most of the time i don’t want to hear it! We have often joked about submitting a letter to Oprah about our friendship, because we have been thru so much together… Or maybe Jerry springer?!? Either way, we would have everyone filled with laughter with the trials and tribulations of our life. Our friendship has remained constant since we were both in 7 th grade. As our lives have shaped and moulded over the years, we know we can always count on each other to be there. After all a best friend is FOREVER… Right?
My BFF is Kara Nimis. You girls would fall in love with her too if you met her! We have been friends since grade school. The reason our friendship is so strong is because of all we have been thru together in life. Seriously, it would be a fitting story for Oprah…. Or maybe Jerry springer! Lol! Through the many hills and valleys life has given us, she has held my hand for the entire journey….and that is why she is my BFF.
My name is Ana and my best friend in this world is my 18 y/o daughter, Natalia. She is not only my eldest daughter, but she has also being part of my development as a parent. Together, we have laughed, cried and enjoyed life. I can’t imagine my life without that girl! For that reason, I can publicly say that she is one of the best gifts that God has given me! God Bless you, my little one!
My name is Shannon Stamps and my best friends are my two daughters Kayden and Kaylee, I certainly thought I knew all there was to know about life until they were born, they have humbled me and they teach me something new everyday, seeing life through their eyes amazes me and keeps my creativity flowing. Discovery and imagination, thats why we are best friends, we are growing up together, they are leading the way. Its an amazing journey with my two best friends!
I didn’t leave my full name…or my besties…oops. My full name is Kari Bennett & my besties is Susan Keough…here is my earlier post…
Kari – August 1, 2011 – 11:19 am
My very bestest friend is Susan K. I love her because she doesn’t judge. She hugs, she backs me up, she loves me, she even lectures me…but she always has my back. You just can’t buy that kind of friendship. I told my teenage girls that someday they will have that kind of friendship, and when they do…cherish it. I know I do.
My best friend is Jennifer Ashburn. She & I roomed together at a conference in Vegas nearly 8 years ago, and let’s just say we can’t NOT be friends. We both know too much.
We are always there for one another – I was 8.5 months pregnant while I was with her and her husband in the delivery room as she delivered her first little girl. (I missed her second delivery by minutes! She was a quick one!) And she is there for me whenever I need her, even though we now live 3hrs apart. We share meals & wine over the phone, our children don’t miss each other’s birthdays, we talk daily. I cannot imagine my life without her in it!
I’m Diane Hornquist; my bestie is my mommy, Gail Barlow. For those of you who know how it works, you just know. Love conquers all, and it’s a beautiful thing. My Ellie and I will be extra best friends too someday, I just know it!
) Hugs!
My name is Chapel & my best friend is Lauren. We are the best of friends although we have not lived in the same city since I was 14 but 18 years later & we’re still soul sisters! We go years (unfortunately) without seeing each other but, when we do get together- it’s as if not a moment has passed! I know that if I ever needed anything, no matter how big or small- she would be there without blinking or thinking twice & vice versa!!
My best friend is Kelly Romeo. If you are on the outside looking in at our friendship, none of it makes sense, but that is what I love about it!!! I am 32 and she is 44. My kiddos are little toddlers, and she has 2 beautiful high school girls. I love fashion, shopping, and decorating and she could care less about these things, loving nature, camping and sports. All this being said, she is my soul sister……and I mean I love this girl with all my heart and soul.
We are both fortunate enough to have sisters that we care deeply about, but there is a connection we share that is undescribable. One of my favorite things that she does is she texts people whenever she is thinking of them
She lost her mom when she was in her late 20′s, and when we talk about life, she always tells me that I fill a void for her that she has from not having a mom to talk to. And I think this is the craziest things I have ever heard because she is one of MY best role models for being a parent! She is raising the most caring teenage girls that I have ever met, and I pray to God that I can raise my kids to be as good and loving as hers.
I have just realized that even if I don’t win this fun little contest (which I would love to win…..don’t get me wrong) I have already won because Kelly is my best friend. Here’s to YOU AND ME (to Kelly and Kristy), and the best friend a girl could ask for. XOXO
My best friend?? My mother of course!! I have had many friendships in my lifetime of 26years and the best by far is the forever lasting un-breakable friendship between my mother and I! I will tell you a little about us, We have babies 8mths apart, YES babies! She is 46, re-married and new mommy of a 2yr old son, and I have a 18mth old daughter! You can imagine how much closer we have become just because of this! We work together, our children go to the same learning center and every waking moment we have free-time we are together!
She has taught me many things in life just as I have taught her! We truly enjoy each others company and are ALWAYS there for one another! Many people say to be a parent first and a friend second, and I have to disagree. My mother has always been my true friend I could always count on! And I want to be the same for my daughter! I want her to come to me for any and everything, and have that same trusting friendship I have with my mother! We truly are a force to be reckoned with, And move out of our way when it comes to shopping
My best friend is Claire. We have been best friends since we first met in preschool at age 3. Through the years, we have always been close. When my daughter was born five years ago, she was there for me every step of the way. She even slept on a hospital floor with me when my daughter was suddenly hospitalized for a week at 6 months old so I wouldn’t have to be alone at the hospital. Only a true friend shows up at the emergency room at midnight and refuses to go home until your husband can get back from his business trip! I think I will always be so grateful to her for being there for me as I navigated being a first time mom. This year is especially wonderful as she just had her first baby girl. It is so touching to see her little girl in some hand-me-downs from my big girl!
My name is Dawn and after I thought about it, my best friend is my daughter. Yes I said Jami, but I did not realize that I could say Family!
Hi there…my best friend is Kris. We have seen each other thru way too many tough times yet we always there for each other to listen to and cry with. She’s the one I call when I do that embarrassing thing that I need to share and laugh with. Its a long distance relationship that somehow we manage to make work. We are a force to be reckoned with as we are both teaching future generations and you don’t want to mess with that!!! Love the new line… thanks
carolyn bennett and bff kris fernandez
I posted earlier but now it has vanished? Is it because there was a link in it? It was just to an article from the skydiving accident?
Katelyn McDermott- My best friend is my sister Erin. We absolutely love being silly together and we always have each other’s back. We are two such distinct personalities but we balance each other out to be the perfect pair. I cannot wait to have her at Iowa State University with me next year:)
My best friend is my older sister Jenni, growing up we protected each other and our younger siblings. I am not sure we are a force to be reckoned with, I just know that in this world today it is hard to make real friends with people who would never judge you and in my sister I have that person who doesn’t judge me, who only loves me. When I am feeling alone (even with my 3 rowdy kids;) ) I know I am never really alone because I have my sister and best friend who even now still protects me whether she fully realizes it or not!
My best friend and I are a force to be reckoned with because we have been friends since we were 3 years old. Yes that is now 33 years. No matter how far away we have been from each other it is just like the last time we talked when we get on the phone. We went to college in separate states and have lived in separate states for many years. We always plan at least once a year to get together. We have been through think & thin together. Jane is like a sister to me. I never had a sister but I am truly grateful for our friendship. I would not be the person I am today without her. BFF’s.
Full Name: Nicole Rose Myers…Best friend’s name Tracie -doesn’t have a middle name- Scheaffer. We are a force to be reckoned with because although we have only been friends for 3ish years, there is this bond that feels like we are sisters from another mister…ya know!?! We have this connection, and loyalty that is hard to describe. I would do anything for her, and she would do the same…no questions asked…Every gal needs a best girlfriend, and I thank my lucky stars she is mine. She couldn’t attend Art Fair with me, and when my ticket was pulled, and I felt like fireworks and unicorns were bursting from my heart (hence looking like a contestant on Price is Right) part of me wanted to cry because she wasn’t there for that moment…I’m sure others thought I was crazy, but when I told her the story, she expected no other reaction than that…the girl just gets me,and I get her
Ok, so I was reading through the comments, and just read my best friend participated yesterday! I had no idea, and she said I was her best friend, phew! UMmm, yep, I misspelled her name Tracie Schaefer…Ooooops! Really we are best friends, pinkie swear!
My name is Kelsey Bendixen and I have to say my best friend is Vanessa Bair. We live 350 miles apart but you’d never know it. Even if we haven’t talked in a while we never skip a beat. We have been friends since fourth grade and we always have an amazing time together. We see each other a few times a year and its always a good time. I often say to her, as I have for years, you and me are like peas and carrots. haha!
I’ve already spoken about my bestie- Nikki. BUT I wanted to tell a story because it is SO funny and is SO the spirit of a true friend.
12 years ago I broke my foot moving into our apartment (mine and Nikki’s). I dropped my end of the couch, tripped and broke my foot. Good times…but anyway moving forward…I ended up in a wheelchair. Nikki was waiting on her work visa to be approved so we had some free time to “get in shape”. She pushed me around the apartment complex in the wheelchair in 100 degree heat nightly (we were in Texas). She would push me fast over the speed bumps because that was my favorite part. Needless to say…the wheelchair broke, I went flying and the girl picked me up, took me in and then replaced the wheelchair at the hospital. Flash forward to 2004 when I was pregnant. I was on bed rest and we had A HUGE trip to Chicago planned (I was in IL at the time). She said she would push me around Chicago in a wheelchair to keep me off my feet…and she did… for 3 days…until we broke that wheelchair. What can I say I love hills. We are such the force to be reckoned with…”2 hot cranberry mamas” as the windshield notes used to say….Anyway just wanted to share. She is such an awesome friend.
My best friend is Susan. We met about 9 years ago. We worked in the same building and just had an instant connection. I’ve never had a really easy time making friends and have always felt like a bit of an outsider. She immediately made me feel like I was someone…and like I had a friend. We started timing our lunch hours together and spent them shopping and sipping coffee (I blame HER for that addiction now. LOL). Only a year after I met her, I left that job, but we still kept in touch. We now talk daily and I would be absolutely LOST without her. She is the closest to a sister I have ever had and I love her with all my heart. <3
My hubby is my absolute best friend!! Together we are raising ou three children to be shining lights of Christ in this world!
)
My best friend is Jennifer, we have been best friends for 25 years. We met on the first day of Kindergarten and have been hooked at the hip since then. She is everything to me…I got pregnant when I was 16 and she stood by me and was there for me the entire time. She has now been there thru all my kids births and is a huge part of their lives. They love her as much as I do. We still get together every couple of weeks for coffee or dinner and no matter what, we can still talk forever. We sat at starbucks a week ago until 1 am gabbing away. We also made our dream come true and last summer we went to Paris, France for 10 days. We had been wanting to do that since third grade when I took a French class, and I would teach her everything I learned. We had the most amazing time. I cant wait for our next adventure togther. (She thinks we are going sky diving, but I am not sure one that
I am scared of heights)
Missy Pletcher is my best friend. I cannot imagine my life without her. She’s my sister, my pseudo husband, the one that doesn’t judge me for how messy my house is, how fast I scarf down a burger, or how much I play Words with Friends. We even joke that as long as she keeps her cleaning lady in the divorce, our husbands can leave us and we’d make a great pair. She’d take the outside tasks, I’d take the inside chores and we’d go to bed and tickle backs and not have to be “surprised” by our husbands when we are just falling asleep. Of course we joke about it and would never let our husbands leave, but that’s just how much we are confident in our friendship and the strength of our “team.”
My full name Libbi Duncan and my BFF name is Jamie Markley. We have been friends for about 13 years, since high school. We have had our ups and downs but we always remain friends. She is someone I can count on to give me advice and she is my calm in a storm. Right now her world is in a storm and I try to be strong for her everyday, a shoulder when she needs to cry because I know that is what she would do for me. The storm will pass and we will be back to laughing and joking, and buying too many clothes
So that is why we are a force to be reckoned with, because we have got eachothers backs in whatever life throws our way!
My Best Friend, well her name was Jen. It will be 12 years since she passed away on the 16th of this month. She was 25, very tragic, very sad. But when she was alive, man the two of us were inseparable. We met in 7th grade and the rest is history. We got in our first major trouble together. We got our first tattoos together (and our second
too). We laughed and cried together. There was nothing we didn’t do. I miss her everyday. My hope and prayer is my daughter is lucky enough to find a friend as wonderful as my Jen. She was named in honor of her Isabella Grace, Jen’s favorite song was Amazing Grace.
I’m Annette Masselink. My best friend is Chris. Separate we are just regular people. Together we are unstoppable and can conquer the world.
My name is Hank Williams. My best friend is my wonderful wife, Joy Williams. We have moved many times due to work. As long as we are together we can know no one else in the county and still be happy. We have three amazing kids. We can be silly, crazy, funny, etc. The important thing is that we are always happy together, no matter what part of the globe we are located.
I’m Amber Carrillo and my best friend is Mele Sheridan. We’ve been friends since we were little and have been through everything together and now we get to have our kids grow up together and share that joy too. There’s nothing like a friend that knows you so well that you just feel completely comfortable with them….
My BFF is my mom. She had me very young and in some ways we grew up together. We both struggle with our own set of insecurities, but when we are together, they seem to fade away. We always say that we feel much cooler than we really are when we hang out.
My name is Mandy Fulton. My best friend is Denise Nicholson, and I don’t know what I would do without her! We talk to each other on the phone every morning while we drive to work, catching up on what’s happening in each of our lives, or discussing movies, books, fashion, etc… We help each other through the rough spots in life, like when Denise’s husband was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. We also celebrate the fun parts of life, like vacations, births, new jobs, and crazy art projects. She taught me to sew a couple of weeks ago, and it’s FUN! I love her, and my life would be very empty and grey without her. Friendships truly are the spice of life!
I have a previous post naming my best friend since high school, Leslie. However after reading some posts and seeing that family qualifies, I have to change my answer to Suzanne Middleton, my mother. My husband considers our relationship unnatural. He says that no grown woman should spend as much time with her mom as I do. But we have so much fun together! And I am more comfortable with her and more able to be myself than with anyone else in the world. We really are almost exactly alike in personality, so she just gets me!
I’m Darcy Stacey and Kami has been my BFF since the 7th grade. I once read an article about the 5 friends every girl/woman should have – the crazy party friend, the shoulder to cry on, the shopping buddy, etc (you get the point)…well Kami is all 5 of these friends to me, and hopefully I’m the same to her. We’ve always said that having a few really great friends is better than having a hundred acquaintances, and we are the perfect example of that! We share just about everything. She is pregnant with her first baby right now…a girl! And I can’t wait to share Matilda Jane with her, too
My name is Natisha Heitkamp and my Best Friend is Stacey Schrock. My sister. My hero. My mom. My mentor. My strength (besides God). I have grown with her and together we have both been through so many struggles, from having a mother who is alcoholic, a father who was in a terrible accident when I was 3, leaving him “mentally Retarded”, through both becoming moms at 16, failed marriages, graduating college, long laughs and long cry’s on the phone and in the presence of each other.
My name is Traci Snell and my best friend is Becky Hopkins. We have been friends since we were little girls in grade school taking swimming lessons together. We have been through the good times and the tougher ones… with our friendship getting stronger with each phase and experience of life we go through. We have survived moves, high school, college, weddings, babies, and the challenges of being working women, wives, and mothers. Through all of this she is a confidant, mentor, and rock. I don’t tell her often enough how much I love her and how much our friendship means to me, so this post has reminded my why I need to do that more!
Sadly my 3 bestest. bestest, greatest friends have left me and all 3 to Cancer.
I still have a 2 really good friends but don’t see them very often, since we live so far away from one another.
I can say that a friend is there till the end, they don’t judge you and love you no matter what you do.
I love my friends but I sure do miss my friend that are passed.
Kind of a sad post for me. You can bet if your my friend and true one I would fight for you will my end….. Nothing is more special than a true friend, hand picked, cared for and loved with all your heart…..
Name, Jennifer Frazier. Best friend, Lorraine Zilavy. Together we can make magic happen. Everything is better, brighter, and the impossible is possible with her by my side. We have conquered rivers, bears, death, birth, and so many things in between. She has taught me what being a friend is all about with her courage, bulldog style loyalty, and open heart. I could not ask for a better friend, and I am honored to be hers.
My name is Erin and my best friend is my mom, Barbara. She is A-mazing. Truly! I was adopted as a baby by my wonderful parents-how lucky was I? Seriously! They are both terrific. AS a result, I was and still am a bit of an over-achiever and extremely hard worker. I always wanted to make my parents proud, and although they always were, I still pushed myself really hard. My mom would always tell me how proud she was of me and we would always sit and chat over tea and cookies. The hardest thing I have ever done was move to CA from Boston to complete my Masters, leaving my family and mom behind. I then met my hubby and stayed in CA. I LOVE our daily phone chats, and her wonderfully special care packages for me and my darling kids, and especially our visits (4 times a year or so). Time apart helps to really appreciate one another more but visits are AWESOME. I just returned from a 3 week visit late last night and I am missing her already! We grew up in a small town and she was a preschool teacher for 30 years and we still run into past students that rave about my mom. She has made me so proud as well!
My name is Mitra Amirzadeh (But you guys already know that) and my BFF BESTTTTT Buddy is Tami Beckham (but you guys already knew that too, lol). We met a few years ago online, on the boards, and because of Matilda Jane! At first we were just buying/selling and talking clothes. Over the past few years it has evolvled into so much more than just our love of MJC- It’s every day life. Its the hard stuff and the easy stuff. We share stories about our children and husband/boyfriend. We’re truly THERE for eachother. Tami is my “person”. Everyone needs a person they can say stuff too. The kind of stuff you need to say outloud and not be judged for and NOT have repeated– well, thats her. I wish we lived closer together and could see eachother WAY more often but for two people who live so far away we are *SO* close. We bridge the gap and we’ll go the distance to be involved in eachother’s day to day life. We don’t lose touch. We dont let life “get in the way”. I truly am thankful for such a friend, and I know (or I HOPE!) she feels the same way about me

LOVE LOVE LOVE what you two have created together!!! I know that it’s strange to say, but my bff is my hubby, Dave Finnegan! Like Dave Mathews says “You and me together can to ANYTHING, baby!” Together we are stronger than any force on earth! (Your comment is awaiting moderation)
Sam, I had a good cry when I read this. You are an amazing designer. You have an unbelievable leader to help guide your path. The line is awesome and for that and the good cry I really needed…Thank YOU!!!!
OK, so I am a little weird sometimes. I never read the other peoples posts until I have written and submitted mine. Crazy huh? So I just went back and started reading and realized I missed something, anyway.. get to the point uh. Reread and this is a contest!!! Yeah baby!!! So feeling so guarded I don’t let anyone really inside me. There is so much I want to say but afraid no one will like me if they really know me. I guess just a lot of insecurities (sp)? Anyway my best friend is my little man Sutton. He loves me everynight when I put him in his bed and I wake up with him in the bed with me every morning. When I talk to him my mind wonders what he is thinking in that 3 year olds little head. But not a worry he is going to love me forever and he is going to be my best friend until I die!!
Well he goes the tears again!! thank Sam!!
My best friend is Monica. We have had both our babies close to each other, so now our kids are best friends. We’ve been through so much and we’re always there, her more than me I think!
My best friend is Paula. I know a lot of people throw the term “best friend” around casually but I don’t. I have only had a few “best friends” in my life. This is the kind of person I consider to be a true friend. I find the older you get the harder it is to find a best friend. I met Paula when our girls were babies. I have know her for the past 5 years and she is an amazing friend…we are amazing together as friends. When Paula and I are together the time goes by so quickly. We ask each other advice about things and have mutual respect for each other. I’m not saying we agree on everything or see everything the same way but we respect each other’s views on things when they differ. Then there are things we like that are similar too. I love that if I have had a bad day I can call Paula and talk to her about what is going on and I don’t feel judged. She does the same to me too…calls me when she needs someone to talk to. We have cried together and laughed together. We have gone through some horrible situations together and we love each other and have a strong bond. We can be “real” with each other. I am just happy that I had the opportunity to have this kind of friendship with another woman in my adult years because it is amazing. I had this kind of friendship when I was a kid and I still know that friend but unfortunately she moved 3,000 miles from me when we were in H.S. I love Paula unconditionally and I know she loves me unconditionally. How do I know? Because we talked about it but even more I know because she shows me with her actions
Hi, my name is Laura Deal, and my best friend has got to be my mom, Linda Brimer. Just thinking about her brings tears to my eyes! Nobody can hug me like my mom, comfort me, guide me, or wipe away my tears like my mom. I will live wherever she is, I don’t think I could make it without her! She is gentle, kind, and compassionate. A TRUE role model. I love her so much.
My best friend is my little sister, Julie. She’s 18 now, and well, i’m almost in my mid 30s…but despite the age difference we share so much. Our favorite thing to do is get frozen fraps at starbucks and just drive around giggling like school girls. I love her. We’re an awesome team, because she’s super witty, but a little shy…and my brain is kinda slow with the wit but im fairly outspoken, LOL. We compliment each other all the time
I always struggled with friendships growing up…I was shy, nerdy and very self-conscious with a very low self-esteem. Being taller than everyone (including most of the boys and some teachers) didn’t help. I had my first boyfriend when I was 18 and we were together for 3 1/2 years. I decided one day that I wasn’t happy, so I moved on. I dated several guys over the next few years, but none of them really understood who I was. Then, I met the man that would become my best friend. 3 years later we were married. I know it sounds corny, but he is the missing piece of my life. He seems to know what I need from him, when I don’t. He is a very loving, affectionate person. My family was not affectionate growing up, so I wasn’t either. I never knew I needed that. On days when I am feeling that I look my worst, he tells me that I am the “hottest woman in the world.” A very much-needed self-esteem boost. On days that I don’t want to face the world, he finds something that we have to do “today” to get me out of the house. I am shy and he is a social butterfly. I have become more outgoing because of him. My best friend’s name is Brad. And, when we are together, I am more confident, more loving, more outgoing and most of all…more me. It is because of my best friend that I have discovered my true self.
Sounds cheesy but I have to say that my best friends are my daughters Izzy & Emily who are only 4 and 2 years old right now. No one makes me laugh and cry harder than these two. The best part is I will ALWAYS have them as my best friends. Unconditional love is a force that is not to be reckoned with!
My mom, Teri is my best friend! She’s the best person I’ve ever met, and when we’re together we have tons of fun, and I can’t help but think (hopefully) one day my girls will think of me the way I think of my mom
I’m Bridget Hansen and my bbf is my sister’s Paige and Brooke. My sister’s are twins and are 5 years older then me! We are always there for each other whatever it might be. I’m so so happy that I have my sisters as my best friends. I love them so much and am so happy we are so close.
My best friend, Ann, simply makes everything better. Together we are braver, smarter, and funnier.:) She is simply the best person I have ever met. I am the luckiest girl to have her in my life. btw…you and me is perfect:)
