“Fête des Tuileries”… before I even noticed the Tour Eiffel on the bodice I thought this was completely Parisian! It reminds me of one of my favorite annual events in Paris… the summer festival on the grounds of the Louvre at the Jardin des Tuileries. It’s actually formally known as La Fête Foraine, but locals just call it “Fête des Tuileries”, and this dress really captures the feel of it to a T.

Dear Matilda Jane Company and Staff, I would like to thank you all on my behalf as well as on the behalf of the family of Heather Silber Pullen. Heather lost her life to cancer on Feburary 11th 2013. She was 39 and left behind husband Scott, son Owen 5 and a daughter Hadley 3. Heather was kind, compassionate to all, a loving Mother, school teacher, wife and friend. The cancer was cruel and punishing, not only to Heather, but to her family and friends as well. In the monthes that she declined, there were not too many joyful moments. One of Heather’s loves in life, was the Matilda Jane Clothing line. Little Hadley has been dresses in Matilda Jane since bith. Heather almost had an obsession with filling her daughters closet with every style that you have created for little girls. She also occasionally splurged on something for herself from Matilda Jane and it would be her favorite go to outfit. In December, as I was at Heather’s home, a package arrived from Matilda Jane, it came as a surprise to Heather. She opened the box to fined a note from Matilda Jane saying that you had heard that she was having a rough time and needed some cheer. In the box was not only gifts for her children but items for Heather as well. She was in disbelief and was greatful beyond words. You touched her heart at a time when she was facing such pain and sorrow. I know she was intending to thank you all for such a kind and generous act, but I believe time ran out. I wish to let you all know, that what you did, by sending Heather that package and lifting her heart and spirits is a gift of a memory at such a dificult time I will never forget. On Feburary 13th 2013 Heather was laid to rest wearing her favorite Matilda Jane outfit. Thank you all for reaching out to someone so kind, compassionate and loving to so many. Heather Silber Pullen.
