Name the Dress Thursday: We Have a Winner!

Congratulations to our first Name the Dress Thursday Winner:

Brittany Spradling

for her suggestion of Nelly Bly - an adventurous lady who traveled the world in 72 days way back in 1890!

We are certain she would have been a Matilda Jane girl too!

Brittany- email Desi at [email protected] with your address and daughter’s size, and she will get your dress right out to you!

That is the perfect name … and I read them all! The name itself is so MJ, but it was my favorite as soon as I read the story! Great choice!

Great choice. When I was reading through the comment I sopped after this one. I said “that’s it. Nellie Bly is the winner!” I just knew :) its perfect. congrats to the winner.

Congrats to Brittany … just like Kari said, I like it so much better than my own :-) ! I did notice, though, that Brittany had spelled the name “*Nellie* Bly” :-) . Intrigued, I did a search & found that it, in fact, was Ms. Bly’s pen name (she was born Elizabeth *Jane* Cochrane), & that she originally intended for it to be “*Nelly* Bly,” but her editor -she also was a journalist- wrote “Nellie” by mistake, & the error stuck :-) ! So sorry I’m such a geek … just found it to be quite interesting!
