So I am sure you won’t be surprised to hear that there are more in the works (their minds are always churning with pretty prints and combos). Melissa and the team LOVE sharing their love of Platinum, and we hope you have enjoyed the pieces that you’ve snagged so far.
This year, we brought some new faces to Platinum as well as some new fabrics and styles. What a year it has been! I hope you won’t be too disappointed that we have even more in store for this summer and fall. 😉 We’d love to know which classic MJC styles you’d like to see in Platinum – comment below with your favorite, and we will choose two lucky winners to have a Platinum phone consultation with Melissa. That’s right, you’ll get to talk with Melissa and help design a Platinum dress for your little one!
We’ve also updated our Platinum Returns Policy to allow more access to Platinum, so we can spread the love to more Platinum fans. All non-defective Platinum returns must be returned within 14 days of your delivery date and must be in unworn/unwashed condition. Platinum items can only be exchanged for the exact same item in a different size or returned for a MJC gift card. They cannot be exchanged for different Platinum items or Trunk Show items. Items received by Matilda Jane Clothing outside of the 14-day returns/exchanges window will be returned to sender.

i am simply horribly when it comes to remembering all the names…but one of my all time favorites was from a fall collection. Dark green velvety velour-like ruffle pant and the peasant top that was yellow gold with vibrant fall like colors. Being from the Midwest it said everything there was to say about fall with a Matilda Jane flare❤️.

My most favorite style of platinum is the ballerina dresses! I owned the fairytale ballerina dress. It was my most favorite ever! It wasn’t just the basic ballerina dress… It had that adorable little lace flutter. Before Sam left I had asked her on the MJC FB page to make the ballerinas with that flutter.. I see them now loaded on Plat, but none have had the little lace flutter! It was simply adorable and the colors were so dainty! Please make one with a lace flutter!! That dress is timeless!

My favorite pieces have been the tiered Sara Tops. I absolutely love the way the twirl. My daughter loves them too, and picks the one she has over anything else in her closet. Our very first one was purchased at Art Fair, and was made out of the Serendipity Veronica Tank. We wore that until the trim started coming off. It was our absolute favorite.

Our favorite dress ever is our blue platinum sunny dress. I have three girls 10,10 and 6 and have had platinum skirts, Ellie’s, Sara tops, ballerina dresses, platinum ruffles, Benny’s and bags but I will keep our sunny to hand down to hopefully any granddaughters I may have one day.

It’s not customer friendly with the unpredictable fit of platinum and sell outs to only offer exchange or gc, I don’t know any brand that does that even with a size chart available. The only change I’m hoping for with all that is changing is for things to go back to the way they were when Denise was leading. Less loads, lower prices and a brand accommodating their customer.
I love Ellies but my little one is starting to refuse them. :(. Would love to see smart Ellies! And more ballerinas – we would love our first 🙂
My 6 year old will no longer wear Ellie’s or knots. 🙁 But she loves knits with twirl – like Apple Pie, and Emelia’s. And Platinum ballerinas.
We love so may different styles.. I think flutters, melsa tops, and shabby’s have been our favorites so far..We love Ellie tops, but would love to see more silly or smart Ellie tops bc my girls don’t like the ties around their necks.. We’re also a huge fan of the first Sara tops that were made.. For example, Emerald City and Luisa..I would love to see standardised sizing for each style so we wouldn’t have such a hard time guessing which size will work for our girls.. That would help so much IMO.. Keep up the good work! Can’t wait to see all the new goodies y’all have in store for us!! ‘)

On the question of how we like the new return policy, I personally am not a fan of getting a gift card back for the item if it were defective, did not fit my child or possibly looked different in the pictures. It is my money that I am purchasing this with. I have never heard of a store refusing to give their customers money back but insist they put it on a gift card. We have a receipt. I think that might steer a lot of people away especially since the sizing is all over the place on items and the pictures are never really exact. I feel like that is punishing your customers. I guess you are trying to stop your returns since they are probably at an all time high with the price increases and resell being as bad as it is. But sadly, it is hard to get people to pay 60-80 for ONE dress when after a few weeks it is on the board for sale at $40 or there are numerous amounts of them made. So now the people who purchased before to resell have to send them back. I am not quite sure why all your clients must be punished for this.
As far as the question what classic style would I like to be seen? Peasant tops with Sashes. Not muted brown ones but adorable cute ellie fabric ones.

I may be in the minority, but we love peasant dresses so much. They are practical for dressing up or for every day wear. The full skirts and puffy sleeves make my daughter feel like a princess. 🙂 ♡

I am a long time, die hard lover of all things platinum. I adore the colors and styles, and my daughter adores the fabulous styles and fabrics. You ladies have been hitting it out of the park lately with the ballerinas, sara tops, and my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE … The SHABBY TOPS! Please keep those coming! I have every single one, except one (missed it last load). They are the perfect combination of comfort, style, and amazing fit!!!!! Way to go!!!

^^sorry that was my daughter 🙂 I’m sad that a few people ruin it for everyone, but I’m really unhappy with this return policy change. Mostly because I might love it online but not in person and I like to buy a few different options, but with the price increase I can only afford to keep one. Now I can’t afford to even buy any not knowing if it wok work and then being stuck with a credit. I think in order for this to work sizing needs to be dialed in. I received an Ellie that was four inches shorter than another Ellie from the same load. Also your pictures need to be better!!! You can’t ever see detail in them and that is very important. And the third thing is what about alternate trim or fabrics that are used? What if flower placement is awful? All of these should have been fixed well before this new policy was implemented.

I would love to see a trelyst style dress! Something about that style just seems classic and it has the factors of keeping little girls just looking like little girls. Every time we wear any of ours we get tons of compliments! My darling daughter even won a baby contest in hers! I would love to see one with bicycles or hot air balloons, anything with Americana type theme or just bright fun colors and patterns.

My daughter starts kindergarten in the fall and we just learned that her shoulders must be covered per dress code. Lucy is devastated she can’t wear a lot of her favorite mj pieces. I called a friend and teacher and she said that the flutter style is acceptable so not only was it a favorite style of ours before, now it’s one the few styles she can wear to school. Flutter in Plat all the way!!!!!!! 🙂

we are loving the melsa style tops, with a ruffle and button placket down the front, or the slightly shortened bodice and a more flowy skirt. Also a favorite for us are laps. My daughter’s fave dress is the london lap, it has traveled the world with us, including disneyland, amsterdam and london- make more of those!!!

Ballerina tank dresses are a favorite
I really love the new Smart Ellie style like the Ingrid one. The more narrow fit( we can wear a size 6, all other Ellies are to wide in a size 4 and are really only held up by the neck ties), no ties in the back and smart neck strap design make this style so much more comfortable to wear out to town. It his hard to put the beautiful Ellies on my daughter, when they need to be tied and untied in the back every time we get in/out of the car.

We love the ballerina and flutter style the best as my daughter is not a fan of neck ties. Would love to see more fun kid pattern fabrics with mermaids, fairies or cute animals. The lemondrops flutter is a favorite and would be awesome to see more like that.

We love the ballerina dresses. We drove from Memphis to Fort Wayne and were able to get one for my daughter who had her birthday at Art Fair. She has literally worn that dress everywhere. It’s a shirt on her now, really, but she LOVES IT!! I love what I think of as “Matilda Jane red” (a little pale and orange based but looks so beautiful in every picture I take). I would love to see something that has the softness and lines of the ballerina dresses with a big red bow around the waist.
