Our MJC

As our summer comes to an end, Lauren and I started to think about how much we do not want to leave Matilda Jane. It makes us extremely sad but we both have to go back to school. Lauren leaves next week and I leave the week after. Since we do not want to leave this wonderful place, we have made a list of the top ten reasons why and to share them with all of you.

REASON #10: COOKIES.

Every Wednesday we receive a generous gift of COOKIES from our printer, Gary. Even though it is a little gift, it is probably the best one to get in the middle of your week and it brightens our day.
REASON #9: CLOTHES

I mean we do work at the CUTEST clothing company EVER and who wouldn’t want to come back just for the clothes?! We were so excited when we saw the fall line and you can bet we will wear them until they fall apart!
REASON #8: CUSTOMERS

This was our first Art Fair and our first time meeting most of you wonderful ladies. We would come back just to talk to you guys and meet more of you!!
REASON #7: KIARA AND SAM

The dynamic duo. It was always great in the mornings when we would walk in and see them. They were always positive,energetic, and putting a smile on our faces first thing in the morning.
REASON #6: THE PARTIES

We have been to many events in our lives but the MJC parties seem to have a different feel. You can just tell everyone is excited to be there and these parties are more fun than you could ever imagine. I mean how many people can say they sang kareoke with their boss?!!
REASON #5: CREATIVITY
From look-books to picking out flags for pennants, we were given so much creative freedom! It was absolutely wonderful and let us show a side you wouldn’t normally see.
REASON #4: FAMILY
As interns, we spent a lot of time at MJC with everyone that works here. Leaving now, it is like we are leaving people that are in our family. They have been our family away from home. Each and every person has touched our hearts, made us feel comfortable, reached out to us, helped us, and just been there for us whether it was to laugh or if we were having a bad day. They are and will always be family to us.
REASON #3: DESI

There are so many stories we could tell about Desi but lets just make it short and sweet. She has the GREATEST/FUNNIEST stories and her laugh is just infectious.
REASON #2: DENISE
Denise is probably the best boss we have ever had. She is the most generous, loving person. She is also so fun, creative, and funny. Today, we were just standing in the fabric room watching her do her magic and we would come back just to do that!  Denise has just welcomed us into MJC and let us do things we never thought we would be able to do as interns!
REASON #1: THE COMPANY

We chose the number one reason for us to come back to be the company in whole. This summer we just completely fell in LOVE with Matilda Jane Clothing. Besides the stuff on the list, there are little things that we love and see everyday. It is a wonderful, inspiring, magical place and gives you the feeling of happiness every day you are here. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that every day of their life? Who wouldn’t want to absolutely LOVE going to work?

Lauren and I LOVE MJC and can’t even believe it is time for us to leave. It is really hard for us because we don’t know when we will see each other again or these awesome people. I will be going back to school in Michigan and Lauren back to school here. Denise said name two reasons why you wouldn’t want to come back and we said there are no reasons. That just explains this whole experience and WE DON’T WANT TO LEAVE!!!!
