And here she is, Miss Katherine, our first ever MJC Cover Girl. But I must admit she is way beyond that. She is truly a MJC girl to the core. Yes, I mean colorful (huge personality), sophisticated (talk about manners, this girl has it) and a wee bit cheeky (yes, she’s got spunk). We all could’ve hung out with her and her mom, Cindy forever. Love them.
Ya, other than me telling them to come at the wrong time, it was perfection. They totally rolled with the MJC crew and we are not always all that smooth. Her dad helped David carry all the props (couch and cement block included) down and around the bend, and Cindy helped me get ready for the big party. Not to mention hold down the house while the firetrucks arrived. Yes, we’ll show you those pics later….

And thanks to my gal pal Michelle the shoot was fantabulous. OMG for real, maybe my fave ever. I shopped forever for it, but wow, so excited. I’m thinking you will all be falling in love real soon. Real soon.
Okay, now I shouldn’t be in Paris blogging but I am dying here cuz Michelle just sent all the pics over and I can’t open them till Monday. We all know how safe David is and he won’t log onto a network that he feels isn’t secure enough!! But thanks to Christy, I am using her computer.
Oh, lastly and you’ll want to bookmark this, http://demarchis.typepad.com/. My sister n’law, Chelsa, has just embarked on the journey of her life. Many of you met her at 435 or my house. I almost don’t know how to touch the subject quite yet, for it is all so quick and new. But follow her along on the journey, I am sure she would love to hear all your wisdom, feel your support and share her inspiration. For she truly has the eye of the tiger, will rise up to the challenge and she will be a survivor…..
Thanks Elijah for all the great photos above. He truely is one of Fort Wayne’s gems!

Miss you but so happy the trip is going well. I LOVE the picture of Michelle. Now I am off to see what Chelsa is up to other than creating beautiful boys.
Take good care.
Oh yeah, can’t wait to see fall!
Oh my, it truly is the journey of Chelsa’s life. We will be fervently praying for the family.
God is with us even if we do not feel it sometimes. I believe there is a reason for everything!
Can’t wait to see pics of fall… love Michelle’s work! Lots of prayers for your sister in law
I am SO excited for Fall MJC! My daughter outgrew almost everything we have, yeah for buying more Matilda Jane!!!!
Your Sister-In-Law is a brave woman!
Your sister in law will be in my prayers Denise!
She will be in my prayers. She is beautiful and so young. My mom is a breast cancer survivor 3 years so far. My heart goes out to your family.
I truly believe that God knows each need we have and sends people into our lives, just out of the blue, at exactly the time we need them. That’s a Father’s love, he is watching over you sister-in-law. I’m thankful to have read she has family to be there and help her with the kids. I’ll say a prayer right now for her.
Praying for your sister in law and family. Prayer is a powerful thing!!!
Joining in prayer for Chelsa.
Praying for your SIL. My mom is a bc survivor and know she will be too!
Denise, after I read your post about Chelsa, I had this devotional in my email box http://www.upperroom.org/devotional/default.asp?month=7&day=5&year=2010&x=90&y=12 this was the very next thing I read after your post and I felt I had to share it w/ you and maybee you could pass on to Chelsa….I will keep her in my prayers, God is good all the time!
Wow, loved this. Thought it was fantastic and wonderfully put together. Absolutely love your cover girl, Katherine. but all the kids loved fantastic. Great Idea!!
Denise – your SIL may also want to check out caringbridge.org – she can blog there and the site will email everyone that has joined her blog to let them know when she has new posts. She can include photos. Unfortunately, I know about this site because a dear friend was diagnosed with breast cancer just this past March. She cut her hair short in order to prepare herself for a wig. She has 3 young kids and it’s actually her middle son who helped her discover her lump – they were in a tickle fight and he hit her breast with his foot. She thought he had given her a bruise but two weeks later, she was told ‘you have breast cancer.’ It pays to play with your kids, that’s for sure! I’ll send my friend the link to your SIL’s site – you can never have too much support when fighting this horrible battle. Hugs to your family!
