435 Art Fair

Yup time is flying. Seriously, it’s almost March. Tomorrow, my best gal pal ever is having a baby!! Lynette, Sara Brown, Joe and I are heading to Peru on the 23rd, then the annual Spring Break with some of my most beloved friends, then we trek to China in April and come May the girls head to Africa as Joe and I head up north for pretty much the summer to work on speech! Wow, and so much to do in between cuz we have  the biggest Art Fair coming up in late June!

And I mean it, it is going to be out of this world. We have everything from jugglers to caricatures to face-painters and games to  a band to Tinkerbell? Huh? Tinkerbell! Yup, we are going for  Pirate themed party MJC Style. And I am so excited about it. I was watching Jack and The Neverland Pirates and I had to do it. It so…aghhhh..exciting! We are moving the location so we could add more guests to the Pre-Party.  I loved having you guys at my house though, it is so much more comfortable but I guess not so realistic. Dang it, but still it is going to be amazing. It’ll be at 435. SO it will be close to the downtown hotels plus they have a shuttle I think at the Hilton.  Oh I can hardly wait.

Seriously, 435 is my fave. It really is. It just feel so much like when I started. Well, ok a little more grand but still.  And I hope it is fun for you. I love creating pieces for Art Fair best of all I think.  I mean I can make just one or two of something. No worries. Ask Sam and Kiara, I am so good at hiding my fave fabrics so they don;t touch them! Yesterday the UPS man brought me some trim, he says “this is supposed ot go to MJC but it has your home address?” He was a little puzzled. I  explained it was the most beautiful trim ever and I wanted first dibs on it.  Yup, Art Fair is like that. Lots and lots of loved is poured into it!

So I know there are a lot of questions surrounding Art Fair so here’s a few answers.

1. Do I need a ticket to shop Art Fair? Nope, you do not. You do need a ticket for the pre-party though.

2. Where and when is Art Fair? The actual Art Fair takes place June 23 at 435 in Fort Wayne, IN.

3. It is going to be crazy? Yes, probably. There is so much energy, it is wonderful. It is good crazy, not bad. Everyone is super sweet and respectful.

4. Do you have any tickets left for the Pre-Party or Post? Call the office, 260-424-3511 or email Becky, [email protected] and she can help you out.

5. How do we get to shop early? Well, hmmm. We have lots of drawings at the Pre-party, so that is one way. And we randomly do stuff online to win early shopping.

6. Is there a shopping limit? No, but there is a restriction on how many of one exact item you can buy. You cannot buy more than 2 of the exact item. We do our best to monitor what is going on. And we will question you if we believe it is being bought just for resale.

Oh and did I say the girls from Livie and Luca are joining us!!! I am more excited for this than anything. they are such dolls and I cannot wait for you to get to know them!  I was really needing some help with something so I called Mitzi up, and yes, I was super nervous. I was like “OMG, I am calling Mitzi from Livie and Luca!!”  She was so easy to talk to and her response was, “Sure, anything you need I will totally help.” No questions, so what about me, no restrictions,  just a nice genuine girl willing to help! Love that in a person. So ya, last time i spoke with Mitzi, I had to tell her ” I’m feel so cool, I have your personal number in my contacts!!” Ha, yes, I am a dork, but seriously,  they are pretty cool!

And I forgot something else…oh and I am so running through 20 ideas in my head but Bridgette from MJC LookBooks is also joining us. I say we have a “Are you Smarter than MJC LookBooks” contest live at the Pre-Party.  We’ll put her up against the Platinum tea cuz I know I would certainly not pass! And of course the folk and TGO partner from OLG. Yup, so get coloring cuz I bet the nice boy who illustrates The Good Ones will be there and want to see them
