A day late

EDITOR’S NOTE: I wrote this on Tuesday night…But David’s blogs TOTALLY trump mine right now, I think we all agree with that one!

Days at Matilda Jane can certainly be unpredictable.

Sometimes I think it’s because we’re all so crazy passionate about it.

About every aspect of it.

And other times I think it’s because we really are pretty new at this still.

Now I’m not underestimating the amazing company Denise and Lynette built.

Or how their guts (hard work and diamond filled minds) lead us this far.

I’m just saying… We just got offices. And a phone system (with fancy voice mail)!

And did I mention an expert in Sourcing?

This year of all years, I think we’ll be implementing the most positive changes for MJC yet.

And of course you’ll be there every step of the way with us.

You’ll be there when we finish the orphanage in Africa and Kiara moves there to live her dream and continue ours.

You’ll be there when our team participates in the Woman’s Build for Habitat for Humanity in September.

And don’t forget the Warm and Cozy event in September too!

And you’ll be there with us as we continually try to improve our brand, our clothing, and even our blog!

There’s been talk of getting new website and blog layouts sometime in Fall!

I’m so excited to spread the love further in 2013.

Making a personal promise to go to Africa this year. David’s story has touched me like no others’.

I know these are big words, but I’m an optimist.

And not only that, but I own this. All of us at Matilda Jane do.

 Ahh…Can you tell I’m excited about just about everything?!

The funny thing is, I started writing about us being unpredictable because Kayla, Yama, and myself are flying to Las Vegas in the morning.

After a split minute decision we decided to visit our production team while they’re at the Magic Show.

So one day I was going to have a meeting in Jen’s office on Wednesday to talk Art Fair (IT’S SO SOON!)  and the next we’re flying to Vegas instead?!

Yep, unpredictable.

Denise sent this photo to Pan when she emailed her that we were coming to see her! Can you tell we’re pretty jazzed?
