Good Afternoon Ladies….
I have to admit, I knew the contest I gave last Wendesday was going to be difficult and there was a possibility that no one would guess it, but secretly I knew we would enjoy your guesses more then anything. You ladies guessed anything from Polar Plunging (One of my Favs) to Car Racing and even Deer Hunting. I chuckle to all of these and trust me you would too if you knew Lynette. I would pay to see her in Camo crouched down by a tree with a rifle in one hand. (Seriously laughing out load right now as I picture it)
The real answer to what Lynette’s secret obsession/hobby is mushroom (Morels) hunting. She gets all into it come Spring. Checks Blogs, Maps and has been know to take the day off if the weather is nice. It is one of those things about Lynette you would never guess. Ask Kiara, she even had a hard time believing her.
Unfortuantly, no one guessed the right answer so I decided I would just choose a random winner..

I have been hunting many times. Best places to Hunt in Eastern Northern Michigan…
Alcona county…Negwegon state park and on 72, there is a second park name escapes me, but it is about half way between US 23 in Harrisville and m65 in Glennie…this park you have to hike back to the lake area, it is about a mile…if you are interested, I can look up the name of the park…you can overnight camp here too..very rustic…

Glad you liked my Polar Plunge idea. I am a teacher, and a bunch of teachers, administrators, and the superintendent in our District are going to be taking the Polar Plunge in a few weeks here in NE Wisconsin to raise money for Special Olympics. I figured since there is some Northern Michigan blood at MJC, perhaps the Polar Plunge wasn’t too far off.

What a fantastic hobby!! We love morel hunting here too. We are lucky enough to have some in the woods next to our house. My daughter LOVES them, and I mean L O V E S them! She asks for them all the time and can’t wait for morel picking time.

Lmbo… Man she needs to come here, there are mushrooms everywhere and they scare me b/c I don’t know which ones are good and which ones are poison. She might also enjoy hunting for Ginseng hunting. They use it to made medicine with.. It’s so hard to find, it’s a green pretty leaf are the roots.. Don’t smell to pretty but it sure was a good way for a little girl to make $ way back in the day.

What a fun contest!! You wouldn’t believe how much time I spent searching for the answer … but it wasn’t a waste of time … I ran across Sam’s old Blog … read the entire thing and loved it! I went to parties and a wedding (Becky’s) and totally enjoyed taking her journey – it is a word picture!
