Call me Lucky

Sometimes I need reminded of how lucky I am.

Lucky to be alive and healthy.

Lucky to work with so many STRONG, HEALTHY, INTERESTING, WONDERFUL women.

Lucky to know if I didn’t make a difference today, that there’s always tomorrow.

Lucky to have my freedom.

Freedom to drive a car, rent a house, love a boy, be a friend…

And the days I forget that, I can’t stand myself. I know that’s harsh, but I couldn’t be more serious.

Today, my great friend and ‘Gran from NC’, reminded me of how lucky I am. Thank you, Lois. I feel lucky to know you, too.

Maybe this could be my New Years resolution? Count my blessings each day. Sounds like a good one, eh?

I miss writing to you guys, although I know our girls here at 435 have been entertaining you left and right! Makes me smile when they get to make you all smile!

LOVE, SAM

Beautifully said! I think we all can use your words as a reminder to remember how lucky we truly are for what we have!!

I know I take a lot for granted. So much to be thankful for during this season. My favorite scripture “To whom much is given much is expected” Luke 12:48

i understand the days of not standing yourself. there are days i have to tell myself to look at my daughter and know im lucky. its hard sometimes to be happy with what you have wishing it could be better or more. i think holidays are even harder when we should be feeling the blessings more.

That would be a great New Year resolution! I think I will do that also. It is so easy to get caught up in LIFE and lose focus on what matters :)

It is so hard to truley remember how lucky we are when the “everyday life” swallows us. Thank you for reminding me what I do forget too!

We all need that reminder sometimes. Today was that day for me, so thank you. Plenty hours left in the day to make up for the morning I have spent feeling sorry for myself!

This is my new years resolution too. Be present, and thankful everyday!

I get it. I had 2 girlfriends loose their fathers the week before thanksgiving, amidst the anniversary of my own father’s death. This holiday season I am thankful for friends to share both laughter and tears with.

It happens to the best of us. I think if we didn’t have the dark days, we wouldn’t realize how lucky we are on the bright and shiny ones ;-) . Miss ya!!

I miss your blogs Sam! I know the feeling, hugs! We all like you over here, everyday. I think Aiden wants to win the contest just to meet all the cool MJ chippies, ehehe.
