Excitement is everywhere. You can just see it in the faces of kids and adults alike. It’s in the air. I LOVE this season.
The workshop has been buzzing over Spread the Love, our desks have been full of candy treats and gifts from Secret Santas. It’s a glorious time for sure. There are so many great things brewing up. As the Fall/Winter season comes to a close the new Spring Collection is in full bloom. I may have to say it is going to be my most favorite collection ever. I just have that feeling. And it is a good feeling. Sam and I have been working hard with the folks at OLG to give you a great surprise come mid- February.
Oh, so much going on. Ha, and I have spent the last 2 hours painting Nike tennis shoes I found at the Goodwill. When I was younger I used to paint shoes. Yup, I would dip them in a can of paint, let them sit a few days and then paint them all over. We’d all sign them with autographs and give to our basketball coach. 20+ years later, I am realizing this is harder than I had thought. But I am going full force. Don’t asked what sparked the idea. I have no clue.

Only a few more days, be sure to slow down and bask in them. Make it last. This is seriously one of the best times of the year!

Christmas is the best!!!! I hope you all have a wonderful one!!! We are so excited here to have family coming in – getting together and making new memories – sharing old ones – sharing laughter and great food! We are doing something special everyday to prepare for it! Today was making cookies for when Daddy came home from work and delivering bread to the elders in the neighborhood! Such fun!!!!

I love being in the school system because I get to spend the holidays with my family and not work through them. It is so wonderful to see their little faces every morning and actually get to cook them breakfast. I LOVE IT! They are learning so much about giving and sharing this season too.
Awww, Gabe is just so cute! Der Weg ist das Ziel
.
Merry Christmas! It’ the most wonderful time of the year!
Projects! I am the “Project Queen” of our family, so I understand your desire to paint tennis shoes just a few days before Christmas. Some years I have had a my kid’s cousins or friends over to sugar fruit or make ornaments or picture frames for their parents. One industrious year we made birdhouses for the mom’s who had husbands serving in the military. This year my oldest(17) has taken it upon himself to decorate the backyard for my youngest(7). He bought lights and got out the ladder and has been very creative and an inspiration to me. I then decided the front yard Japanese maple was “sad” because it has never been decorated. Wa laaa! A very happy and Merry Japanese maple. Ok….way off the main idea. Can’t wait to see your shoes…maybe I’ll make a pair….next Christmas!
A boys line would be pretty exciting. I am hoping for a white christmas.
Love the shoe idea! Can’t wait to see finished photos!
I am sure hoping that TODAY is the day for my MJC Miracle! I can’t tell you how much it would mean for me to be the LUCKY one who gets one of your GLORIOUS Hobo Bags!! Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy! ♥
Your shoe idea is fabulous and I did the same thing as a kid. The pictures on your blog are AMAZING! What a great photographer – I just love the composition of the kids playing with the train. Wish I knew what camera and lens you used. Everything MJC touches is gorgeous!
