Introducing:
Holly Pugh
of Troy, Alabama

Q: Hey there, Holly! Tell us a little bit about YOU.
A: Hey yall! My name is Holly Pugh and I am from Troy, Alabama (a small city between Montgomery and Dothan). I am the middle of 5 girls, born and raised in Troy and returning to marry my high school sweetheart. I am a wife and mother who works full-time selling insurance for State Farm – my Dad’s agency. I am a child of God and very involved in my community and church. I love love love spending time with friends and family and being involved. Sometimes, have a hard time saying no 😉 but seem to function better when I have a plate full. Anybody else out there like that?!!
Q: How did you meet and fall in love with the man of your dreams?
A: I love our little “love story.” I have known Dax, my husband, my whole life. We grew up next door to each and our parents still live beside each other. I was a youngin when we started dating and often wonder now that I have kids what my parents were thinking letting me have a boyfriend at age 14?! We dated all through high school, went to separate colleges but continued to date and then married as soon as I graduated in 2005. He is my best friend, my confidant, my leader and my rock! The Lord blessed me beyond measure with Dax.
Q: Bebes? You know we’d love to hear about them.
A: Bebes?! Oh yes! My crew consists of two boys and 2 girls…Cole (6), Owen (5), Reese (2), and little Ellen who we expect to arrive in October. Cole has been grown since the day he was born. He loves family and spending time outdoors doing all things boy! I can depend on him for anything I need and love that he introduced me to motherhood. Owen is so loving and sensitive; yet so rough and tough. He has such a good mix and I know will one day make a wonderful husband and father. You would think Reese would be a little tomboy with having two brothers but I swear she is one of the prissy little girls I know. She loves her mama and her mama loves that!! She is anxious about sweet sissy Ellen’s arrival and tells me daily that she will rock her and give her a bottle. Goodness, pray for me and my sanity 😉

Q: How long have you been with Matilda Jane and when did you know you wanted to be a Trunk Keeper?
A: This is my first season with Matilda Jane. I feel like it is something that God placed before me. I was introduced to MJC through my oldest sister, Hope. I began buying a few pieces once I had Reese and then was contacted by an old sorority sister about a friend of hers that was looking to have a show in south Alabama. I immediately jumped at the opportunity and knew that it was a completely open market. No one and I mean no one here even knew what it was. I knew I loved our MJ pieces and wanted to be the one to share them with my friends. Amanda, my up line, and I hit it off at once and am so thankful that our paths crossed and I now can call her a friend.
Q: I have many rituals in my day. How do you like to start out your day?
A: My feet pretty much hit the ground running when I awake. Prior to a couple of months ago I was an avid Cross Fitter. I loved starting my mornings early with a great group of people at our local gym lifting weights and becoming stronger every day. Ellen has put a little halt to that routine but I look forward to returning after I have her and we get settled.

Q: What is your favorite family tradition?
A: We eat as a family at the dinner table. I grew up eating this way and so did my husband. It is the one time of day we all can sit down together and have a conversation with each other without having a thousand other things going on. I know my children are young right now so there really isn’t any other option but this is something that Dax and I feel so strongly about that I am certain we will continue to make every effort to hold our family together at dinner time with prayer and a home cooked meal.
Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
A: My mother has demonstrated what a true woman of God looks like. She is the epitome of Proverbs 31 and sacrifices daily for her family. I wouldn’t be the woman, wife, mother and friend I am today without her influence.

Q: Which historical figure would you like to meet?
A: Honestly, I am not much of a history buff so this doesn’t come easy for me…I think though that I would love to meet Paul from Jesus’s time. He is known as the greatest missionary and I think it would be extraordinary to sit down with him and hear everything he went through while serving the Lord. We are given the commandment to go and make disciples of men and who better to learn from than Paul.

Q: What is your favorite time of day and why?
A: Mornings when my babies wake up and crawl in the bed with me. I love to snuggle with them and if I didn’t have a full time job and school to get them to I would stay like that for hours.
Q: What teacher or coach has had the most impact on you and why?
A: I had a Spanish teacher in high school that loved with her whole heart. She not only taught me Spanish but taught be needed characteristics to be successful in life. He taught us to try and try again and to not settle for anything but the best. I truly admire Senora Merkel and am thankful for the Spanish she taught me but also the life lessons she shared with me.
Q: Which TV family is most like your own?
A: I don’t watch an incredible amount of TV so I wouldn’t know current families on TV but my kids have started watching some reruns of Full House. Although, we don’t have uncles living with us we definitely have a full house and are fortunate to have a large family that we spend time with. My kids are influenced by their aunts and uncles and grandparents and for that I am thankful.

Q: What is your favorite smell in the whole world?
A: Fresh clean sheets! Awwww. Nothing better than crawling in to a bed with fresh sheets; pulling them up and taking in a deep breath. I love it!!
Q: Where is the coziest spot in your home?
A: My bed. I can sleep, crawl up with a book, work on the computer, or lay with my babies there.
Q: What is your “must have” Paint by Numbers piece?
A: Lemongrass Bennys right now. My little bit loves MJ and wants to wear it daily so we pair them with old and new.

Amazing gal MJ has on their team!! Love being able to call her my best friend (& my MJ trunk keeper)!
Love this lady and her precious family!!
