Clarity

And this is for Sam.

I have told her one too many times she must visit Northern Michigan so she can understand the beauty of it, how laid back the folks are, but mostly I want her to see how clear the water is!! Once you have been in Lake Michigan or Lake Huron our Indiana lakes just seem a little less clear!

I have been so MIA this past month, and probably will be throughout this month. I’m one of those who know how to work hard yet have no problem disappearing for weeks. I think I have always been like that. I use up all my energy on a project and then have to get it all back! So I guess that does not make me a hermit, but a energy builder? Maybe? Possibly?

It's me, Betsy! - October 10, 2011 - 8:59 pm

That looks amazing. Would love to visit there! I’ll put it on my list of things to do. Is it easy to find places to stay on the water?

PS You desearve to disappear for a while!

The Great Lakes are one of the most beautiful things we have in the United States! They are crystal clear. Sam, you need to go to Mackinaw City and see how Lake MI and Lake Huron come together as you go to the UP. One other place…Sleeping Bear Dunes! The Dunes are amazing and the views of Lake MI are fantastic – voted one of the best in America. :)

SO true!! I grew up in Michigan’s upper peninsula a stone’s throw from Lake Superior. Whenever I need to reset, I visit Marquette and Houghton/Hancock. Works every time. Here’s hoping it won’t be too long before you’re able to get away and rest/rebuild soon!!

I feel like I’m spamming this post – HA! But I keep coming back to this picture of Gabe and loving it. Cannot believe how big your baby is already! Sniff, sniff…

where the water meets the earth is always where i seem to regain my clarity and energy. something about how miraculous our world is…the images, the sounds, the smells, the textures and even the taste (that you taste w/o actually tasting it, ya know?)…reconnects the five senses, somehow. xo
