I Love These Moments

I lucked out last night.  Joe fell asleep right next to me. It seems as they get older the more and more you treasure those moments. I swear I could have just stared at him for hours almost as if he were a newborn. They grow so fast.  And it got even better as the night went on.  Around 3 I could here Gabe trying to squeeze in bed with us.  That boy is the cuddliest of cuddly.  Sometimes David grumbles the boys are too old to be coming in the room so late at night. They rarely do. I stand firm on the belief they are not going to want to crawl in bed, tell stories and cuddle up when they are 30. I will take every minute I have.

Hold tight to the moments of  just You and Me.

So Sweet! Watching my daughter sleep is one of my most treasured moments in life.

Britni Slusser - July 15, 2011 - 6:24 am

So true, my oldest daughter is 4 and sometimes crawls into bed with us in the middle of the night. I’m going to miss those moments when she doesn’t want to hang out with me anymore!

Christina - July 15, 2011 - 6:25 am

My 6 year old will occasionally crawl in between my husband and I. I feel exactly the same, it won’t be long before they are to busy for us, treasure every moment <3

Debra/Sophie Stallings - July 15, 2011 - 6:26 am

OMG – OMG – OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you never cease to impress me with the fabulous clothes. Dying to get the entire line.

Monica - July 15, 2011 - 6:27 am

There are so many moments to treasure. I love to watch my little 3 year old Presley sleep. She can be the sweetest thing. Two nights ago she looked at me and said: “I have the most beautifulest mommy in the world.” She just melts my heart!

christine blanek - July 15, 2011 - 6:28 am

We want to just snuggle and cover them in kisses as long as we can. This collection so far is looking amazing!

mom2P&B - July 15, 2011 - 6:40 am

Ahhh, that is sweet! Love how your story of cuddling with the boys ties right into You & Me. Perfect! My almost 4 year daughter crawled into bed last night with Mommy and Daddy, so I can relate. :) I grumble a bit too, but you are right won’t last long! Enjoy!!

Melissa White - July 15, 2011 - 6:42 am

Yay… A full sneak peek! Love stripes! :)

Jennifer M - July 15, 2011 - 6:44 am

Gorgeous! This dress is just precious.

Heather Doncaster - July 15, 2011 - 6:50 am

I’m the one who grumbles about it in our house but your post today has been a good reminder to appreciate it, not treat it as an interruption to a good nights sleep. I’m glad you enjoyed your extra snuggle time and can promise I will too next time it happens at our house.

ali s - July 15, 2011 - 6:52 am

i whole-heartedly agree! cuddle as much as you can, make them as cuddly as possible because the older they get the less they want to. such sweet moments!

Adele Cornett - July 15, 2011 - 6:53 am

Know exactly what you mean, Denise. My 4 year old and my 2 year old come running in the room once the “sun is awake” and jump and pounce and love on me…Wes grumbles about getting poked and kicked, but I know there will be days they don’t want to be in the same room with us, so I just cherish the hugs and kisses, and yes, even the kicks, pokes, and pounces I get now.
I try to sneak in their rooms before they wake up just to watch them sleep–so precious!!!!!

Colleen - July 15, 2011 - 6:53 am

amen to the nighttime cuddles……..they do grow up too fast…trust me…..my 12 and 15 yr old aren’t coming in and cuddling anymore…you don’t even have to wait till 30 :( so when my 1,3 ,and 5 yr old want in…….i will never turn them away!!!!!!!!

Kari - July 15, 2011 - 6:58 am

Jami’s daughter can NOT be any cuter!! I love her clothes, too! I have a daughter going off to college in 1 month…can I tell you how much I would give for one more night of jumping in bed to cuddle? Cherish the time.

Dana - July 15, 2011 - 6:59 am

I miss Gabe already!! Lucky wishes he could stay all summer :)

Rachel Joy - July 15, 2011 - 7:10 am

Ahh, this made me tear up. So true. Could be taken from a page of my life.

Maranda B - July 15, 2011 - 7:43 am

I tell my husband the same thing. My son is 9 and those cuddle moments are already getting few and far between:-(

Isabella's Mom - July 15, 2011 - 7:46 am

Love this post!!! I always watch Isabella sleep, it is such a peaceful time. And I love to kiss her face too, Carlos not so much, he wakes up when I walk past his door. Gotta get him while he’s awake.
Take care.

Dawn - July 15, 2011 - 8:13 am

So perfectly stated:)

Magda - July 15, 2011 - 8:21 am

My 3 yo son comes to our bed every night at midnight. I don’t mid it at all ! I love how he glues to me and when half awake plays with the extra skin in my elbows. :)

Let’s enjoy them as much as we can; they are delicious little asd

Denise - July 15, 2011 - 8:35 am

GORGEOUS.

Sandi GENTRY - July 15, 2011 - 9:03 am

SOOOOOOOOOO Cute!

Pam - July 15, 2011 - 9:05 am

My 3 kiddos always want to crawl in my bed. It never fails that at least one of them end up in my bed every night! The only time it gets rough is when all 3 of them want to get in our bed at the same time! I would not trade anything for those moments though!

Cpuhl - July 15, 2011 - 9:15 am

I agree! Take EVERY moment you can!! Love the new line! Can’t wait for 8/1!

Heather farr - July 15, 2011 - 9:20 am

Being the mother of a girl and boy, my sweet Sutton is my snuggle buddy. He climbs in bed with “his mommy” every morning around 4 am and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My fav part of the pic is the duck on the head, it made Kinley laugh! Yes, she is so in love with this cardigan, please tell us it comes in tween sizes.

Carol Ann - July 15, 2011 - 9:25 am

You really know how to give me goose bumps ;) XO

Carla Clarkson - July 15, 2011 - 9:27 am

There is hope yet my boy is 17 6’3″ and 185lbs and he still crawls in bed for a snuggle and some one on one when this get tough…..where would the term “mama’s boys” come from if they didn’t always need there mamas

markelle - July 15, 2011 - 9:48 am

the only vacation my family could afford was a 2 day trip to a friends cabin on a lake about 2 hours from our home. we just got back today :) …my 4 year was a little nervous being away from home so she crawled in bed with me at 4am, put her head on my belly, and slept so darn good with her mouth hanging open. i didnt sleep a wink for the next 3 hours, staring at her,and trying to breathe as shallow as possible so i didnt wake her up. i love my baby girl:)

Betsy - July 15, 2011 - 9:56 am

You can’t get those moments back–it’s a great reminder to enjoy them all!!!

Carrie - July 15, 2011 - 9:57 am

I had the same night! I love cuddling with my little girls too and cherish every morning we all wake up together (even if I wake up with a foot in my ribs)!! :)

LaRena - July 15, 2011 - 10:14 am

Love the dress. Can’t wait to see more.

Kim T - July 15, 2011 - 10:24 am

My kids are young enough to still love shuggling with Mommy, and I definitely treasure it! With busy lives there are too few minutes to treasure. Absolutely love every peek at teh new line I’ve seen, can’t wait for more!

nursejennie76 - July 15, 2011 - 11:08 am

I totally agree! I love the cuddle time! And I love to look at them while they are sleeping! Oh and the sneek peaks are awesome!

beautifulclothing - July 15, 2011 - 11:38 am

Beautiful clothing and beautiful model! I love the cardigan/sweater!

Gran - July 15, 2011 - 1:52 pm

As a Gran who is trying to hold on to every snuggle possible of the grandchildren I just encourage each of you mothers to cuddle and snuggle and savor. Denise, this was a great post!

Jenn Khurshid - July 15, 2011 - 2:20 pm

Those moments are so precious. I’ll take every moment I can of snuggling with my girls! By the way, that outfit is stunning!

tania - July 15, 2011 - 4:48 pm

So true! My 9 yo never comes into bed with us anymore. It makes me more tolerable when my 7 or 4 yo do. I know the time is passing. My Mom told me early on, dress them and feed them the way you want for as long as you can, because before you know it, those days are over. She should have added sleeping with you to that list!

CalamityK - July 15, 2011 - 6:46 pm

Nice post for sure, but this picture looks like a random arm is coming out of that poor girl’s head. Totally weirding me out. Sorry…

Lisa Urbaczewski - July 16, 2011 - 5:23 am

I totally agree as they get older you must grab any second of childhood and hold tight because usually right behind it is a glimpse of their future! By the way – I am praying this outfit comes in a size 10!!!!

Valerie - July 16, 2011 - 8:03 am

I have a grudge against that duck. Bit me multiple times and pooped on me just as much. Dang DUCK.

Nessa - July 16, 2011 - 10:41 am

such a sweet post. My little guy (5 now) still sleeps in the bed with his baby sister and me. He’s growing too too quickly. Treasure it

kolkatamama - July 16, 2011 - 11:13 am

Ok so this post doesn’t really go with this post but I had to say it. Its been weighing on my heart.
MJC is definate a unique company with sweet things and we all want it all…face it.
But the truth of the matter is..as I was just checking in on the facebook page to check about the upload now and then,I noticed women getting very upset saying unessecary comments. That is just plain sad. I don’t have facebook so I never commented there. Think about this…why some were so upset cause platinum hadn’t loaded yet, upset at waiting for that special dress, some people in this world are worrying about if they can feed their child for the day,if there gonna live? We have so much to be thankful for,and a dress is what we get upset about, a upload not being when we want? Not being smart, but a reality check. I know this does not apply to all,but if you get a wonderful dress, super…and if not, don’t let it get to yah. So not worth it, and I am sure the gals at 435 would agree.
Have a nice day.

Heather G. - July 16, 2011 - 12:00 pm

So sweet!! Savor every moment!

Teisha - July 17, 2011 - 1:46 am

I am mom to 4 girls, ages 31(MJC<3)39,22,20. It fills my heart with joy that they do still like to crawl into my bed when given the opportunity, (22 yr old, its every time college is out) dont ever let "them" take that one away from us moms! love to share our bed, place of comfort.
