It’s coming quickly and we know you’re counting down the days…Art Fair is almost here! Are you as excited as we are?
Preparations are in full swing as we work hard to sew buttons, iron every dress, set up grids, make decorations for the party, review the guest list, and cut fabric. Denise and Sam’s new creations are coming in daily from our sewers. We’re continually amazed by the way two people can come up with so many fresh ideas so many days in a row. Really, if the Creative Olympics existed, these two would win gold every year.

Let us tell you, it’s an exciting time to be an intern here at MJC. This time of year we’re really reminded of how MJC got its start. Look how it’s grown from a small booth popping up at your local art fair to a team of nearly thirty women here at 435, one man (we can’t forget David!), and nearly 125 Trunk Keepers around the country and in Canada who work hard together everyday to share the love and put a smile on your little one’s face. And yours too, of course, because we know how dedicated all of the friends of MJC are. Even though we’re relatively new here, we’re just as excited to welcome you all to the home that we call 435 for the 3rd annual Matilda Jane Art Fair.

Speaking of Art Fair, we thought we’d create an “I Spy” style lookbook to help you practice keeping your eyes peeled for the pieces you’ve been dying to get your hands on. Search on, ladies!
Yours truly,
Lauren and Sophie

Giddy as a school girl. You have a talented group surrounding you and so excited to see the faces behind it all.
Is the art fair going to have adult pieces?
Thanks – That was really fun. I found (almost) everything.
Is there a template for the cute paper lantern hangers in the picture? I could do some fun things with those in my classroom!

Lauren and Sophie-LOVED the “I Spy” book!!! Going to print it for my little – she loves “I Spy” books (and DSi games). It’ll keep her entertained on our plane ride to Florida tomorrow
Thanks!
Love the energy vibe from this post! Rock on, 435! xo
What a great idea for a lookbook–genius!! I had as much fun as my daughter during the search. Heck, my son even helped us on a few. He loves I Spy too! I hope you gals, and everyone at 435 have a great week! I can’t wait until Art Fair!
Lauren and Sophie, I enjoyed your blog entry and know that you are having a great summer. Sending lots of super wishes for the art fair!!!!
Not excited at all cause I can’t go;-(
The “I Spy” game was fun to look at…even my 6 year old twin boys thought that was cool! You always have such great photography! Can’t wait to come to my first Art Fair!!
Thank you for the fun! I found it all with the help of Amelia. Of course the MJC beetle threw her off. Then I explained my college car was a ’73 Beetle. I could push a Texas tumbleweed with it. Those cars are industructable…well, almost. How far are you from Battlecreek Michigan? Maybe I could go to Art Fair if I flew in to visit an Aunt. Is it possible?
