Life as I know it

I swear WordPress hates me. Well, WordPress or my computer? It is the slowest most painful thing. Truth. Okay, not on most painful but truth on most slowest.

Today is one of those days when I have to say, “Denise, stop…you are being ridiculous”. I woke up to the hugest list of “to-do’s” that may never get done. And I know if I don’t check them off, they’ll be there tomorrow, and the next. Always just waiting for me. Do you ever wonder when life got so hard? When life got so fast that you have to use every second wisely. There’s never that 5 minutes when my brain is just empty. I kinda wanna blame it on my phone or the internet. One, I am true workaholic. I do time everything I do. Yes, I do. Eery minute is pretty much accounted for. The problem is, with the internet you can do so much more. And it fills in every second between every minute. Oh, wow, I could go on and on.

I feel like I could talk Art Fair all day long. But I’m going to hold off till I can show you some good pics. We are still setting up and my gosh, I think we have double what we had last year. And we still have 2 months left. I made some super cute stuff today. I went to bed at 2, was up at 6 to go cut. And that may be the reason I am so grumpy. I am tired. I am so tired. I think if I just had a snickers bar and a diet coke all may be ok.

Did you know I am sitting here, just blogging, trying to upload a photo cuz every blog entry needs a photo, and 5x now it has said ERROR. I can hear David and Gabe watching the Goonies. Joe is upstairs cuz he wouldn’t stop crying so I told him to just go cry in his room. He cries so much, aghhhhh….For no reason. After the 4th time it starts feeling like the ERROR message I keep getting.

Alrighty, I need to go find a better mood and get working on Kayla’s “holy amazing auction” item for tomorrow.

And still no pic loading…sorry…I tried for an hour!

Can’t wait to read all of the inspiring Spread the love stories and see all of the Mommy & Me photos. Skip the diet coke & Snickers and go straight for the Soul Lift.

Hope your night improves…

I love how you express yourself. It’s real and relatable. Technology definitely has a way of consuming every second these days. As a stay-at-home mom/self-employeed photographer, I often have lists on top of lists. And with 2 kids, under 2, every minute of everyday is whirlwind. So as I read your blog, I found myself constantly nodding in agreement. I often have to step outside, away from all this high-tech stress, and let nature calm my soul. As an artist, that sometimes help me refuel my battery and allows me to see the beauty in the simple things again. Hang in there, this moment will pass. And thanks for sharing a very real moment.

Denice, it’s ok there’s no pic. You are an amazing woman, wife and mom! And you do so much for Matilda Jane! Thank you for your hard work and efforts!

Love you, Denise & … Joe!
“He cries so much, aghhhhh….For no reason. After the 4th time it starts feeling like the ERROR message I keep getting.”
So very relatable: My daughter is turning 11 next month, & I think he & she are about the same age? It is so painful to see your child in so much pain, & then to realize that you cannot fix it ….. Please take good care of our Sweet Joe -would you please give him a big hug for me-, & perhaps more importantly, our Lovely Denise :-) .

I hope you can find a few seconds for yourself, too. I am so excited to hear more about Art Fair and to see more sneak previews. I was just talking to a friend about how excited we are for art fair this morning, and that it’s not way way far away in six months. It’s getting so close! Have a good day! Now go eat that Snickers & Diet Coke :)

Goonies!!!!!!!!! Love that movie STILL.

With you on the crying thing with my middle girl and have done that plenty of times. They are sensitive ;)

Can’t wait to see pics but don’t stress about it!

That’s how I feel today. My hubby had a dr appointment and Harding Rd was a parking lot – big ERROR message! I know I fill every minute of every hour … my timing would work if there weren’t all those ERROR messages!! I need to book in extra time – I know that. And this mandatory work conference call is gonna start on time … My to-do list is just going to be waiting on me. Hugs!

I hope that today was much brighter than yesterday! Sometimes we just have to take a minute to breathe when it feels like there is too much to do! You are an amazing woman, I just hope that you know it! :)

I absolutely can not wait for AF this year, dinner fun with all my friends…one question is haunting me because I love Plat loads…will the Plat site take a rest for Art fair this year? See you in June:)

Denise!
I can relate to feeling overwhelmed, wishing our kids wouldn’t need us so badly in this moment, and not finding the patience within to deal with the life that we created for ourselves. It’s complicated. I recently read a book that tore my heart wide open. It made me rethink so much. It’s call Tiny, Beautiful Things. Maybe you would like it.
Love, Esther
