Don’t laugh but it took me about 20, okay 30 minutes to get that pic uploaded. Ha. I could not, for the life of me, find the tool bar in Photoshop. I am half embaressed to admit I had to get out my manual to figure out how to make it appear again. But hey, it is all settled and I am good to go.
Only problem now is I have lost my train of thought and I am half certain I had a good story to share. So I guess if you have read this far you will have to settle for a little rambling.
I have been introduced to audiobooks and my phone now has The Help, and The Kitchen. I have completed them both and am in search of a new great read, well, listen… It really is a great thing, it has totally motivated me to get up every morning and walk the park just so I can cover a few chapters. It is fabulous. The only problem is I swear, I am hearing voices. Ya, the lady at Joann’s today was listening to Sam and I chat. I told Sam, I think I am hearing voices and she gave me the funniest look. But I was really serious, It is like those narrators voices are ringing in my ears. It is bizarre. Please say some of you know that feeling?
Shoot, I totally forgot I need to run and pick up Gabe. I’ll be back in a bit. Wow.

LOL! Sometimes I think I hear someone say something….only to find out they did not.
Also, I do forget about picking my kids up too! It’s quite an adjustment with the new school year!
Even when I read a book myself I sometimes find I start to narrate my own life in a similar voice in my head. It is totally bizarre but I have done this my whole life! If you are looking for a good book I have to recommend The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. It is an amazing story and ALL TRUE and makes you think in many many ways. I also recommend The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. This is a totally fun fantasical book that I think you would LOVE. Hope I am not out of line with the suggestions, but I get really excited about BOOKS.
HAHAHA I totally get that! I always say that Mike Rowe is narrating my life. I watch so many shows that he narrates and …well he has such a sexy voice, it just gets stuck in my head. He makes my day sound so much more exciting too.
House at Riverton by Kate Morton
Looking for a good book….The Hunger Games triology is great!
So fun that I’m not the only one that totally forgets what the original purpose was on a topic! Suggestion on books to listen to…no impact man & blink were two of my recent ‘reads’. Have fun picking your next one!
Read The Hunger Games! Amazing.
I kept thinking I was hearing my kids and husband say something when they weren’t. Turns out I have slight hearing loss in my left ear! And I am only 35!
Can’t say that I know the feeling, but the firt thing this reminded me of is that movie with Will Ferrell.. “Stranger than Fiction”. Love it…
WOW! At least Sam looked at you funny, now we know one of you still has it!
Come on no one wants to hear about the voices you think you hear, really!? So random! We want to hear about the next release and see some pictures!
I talk to myself all the time, does that count? LOL.
If you are looking for another good book, I recommend–The Hunger Games. It is the first of a series of three. I could not put them down. They are filming the movie near my home town.
Enjoy and let me know what you think.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is a must listen!!!
its ME you’re hearing….I’m forever chanting, “please, oh, PLEASE let me score some serious cuteness on platinum!” xo
Highly recommend the shopoholic series on audiobooks. They are much much better than the movie and the woman who reads them has the best British accent and is a trip. I have spent many times sitting in my driveway at 4 am after driving home from work (I work nights) listening to the rest of the chapter laughing so hard! It’s not spiritual or life changing but it is a great audiobook for fun!
I love to listen to them in my car! I feel that it is a sign that we are getting old..The Room is good but a little creepy…Plus the Glass Castle is another great one…i could go on and on….but try those for now…
You should try “The Room” since you seem to be drawn to that kind of title
Emily Giffin! Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Baby Proof, Heart of the Matter and Love the One you’re with! They are great reads – I mean listens!
Just bought the first Hunger Games Book on my iphone!!
I know that the shopaholic books are really good.
I do know what you mean! I love audio books! They are the best, but sometimes when I am at the grocery store or driving I feel like a narrator is commenting on my life…the tired housewife looked up at the stoplight and completely forgot where she was headed. She made a mental note to try and get in bed earlier…Obviously my story will never be an audio book. It would all be that boring! LOL! Second the shopaholic series. TDF!
I am reading Paris Wife right now and it is excellent!!
I do audible.com and it’s like a book club, but for audio books. It’s super easy to use and cheaper than iTunes. If you like Chelsea Handler, get “Are you There Vokda, It’s Me, Chelsea.” It’s vulgar, but she narrates it and I almost peed my pants listening to it. I just finished “Still Missing” by Chevy Stevens which was great. I’m now listening to “Then Came You” by Jennifer Weiner. Also try “Heart of the Matter” by Emily Giffin, “Every Last One of Them” by Anna Quindlen and “Look Again” by Lisa Scottoline. Happy listening!!!
sooo funny you say this. the first time i listened to a book on tape i heard that narrator’s voice for weeks. and sometimes i would even catch myself using his inflection and speech patterns. hilarious! glad i’m not the only one!!!
