As promised for the third week in a row…(sorry gals), Desi and I are back to the weekly edition of meet an MJC crew member. This week is all about Serlita, another one of our rocking returns girls. However, around here she is known mostly by the name In-In. I’m not 100% sure how or why she has the nickname, but it just kind of stuck. I personally didn’t know that her name wasn’t In-In until I had worked with her for about 6 months….lol.
Serlita came to MJC through her cousin Vivien (who you met in a previous blog) for the spring of 2009 line “Hammond Bay” as a temporary packer. She moved from the packing department to the Returns/ Exchange department. She and Janeth..( which you will meet in an upcoming blog) open and sort all of the return exchanges, as well as check them in, and help handle customer service on the seasonal line side.
She has two very lovely daughters Abegail who is 14 and Kate(or Chooks as most of us know her) who is 8. She has also been engaged for about a year to her fiance David, but has no official plans for the upcoming wedding yet. They have the cutest little dog Lucy, who is a Shih Tzu Pomeranian mix.
Serlita has a couple of exciting events coming up. Her birthday on October 13th, although she says it is usually pretty low key. The second doesn’t exactly have a date, but she is in the process of looking at purchasing a home. Exciting right?
Serlita loves to shop, but says that most of her free time is filled doing household chores like laundry and cleaning. Just like her cousin Vivien, she is OCD (in her own words) about cleaning. She even says that she rarely cooks because she doesn’t like her apartment to smell….lol.
Her favorite MJC memory is the very first trunk keeper conference that she attended. The food was great, it was small and informal, and that was when she met Chris, who would later become her packing supervisor.
Serilta says that her most valued characteristic is dependability. What a great quality to have and to admire in someone.

Serlita rocks! She just helped me this morning with an exchange and she was fantastic to help.
Serlita and I have the same birthday!! Awesome.
